Dieser Klassiker des SciFi Genre aus dem Jahre 1955 wird von einem Kerl und zwei Roboter, welche von einem verrückten Wissenschaftler zum ansehen dieses Filmes gezwungen werden, kommentiert. Einfach nur genial und absolut sehenswert. Leider ist diese in den USA lange Zeit erfolgreich gelaufene Serie bei uns im deutschsprachigen Raum nie über den Pilotfilm hinausgekommen – schade.

Es war nicht leicht zu finden, aber ich konnte auf YouTube einen Ausschnitt auf deutsch entdecken:

Nachdem wir MST3000 hinter uns hatten musste ich mit erschrecken feststellen, dass die Nici weder Staplerfahrer Klaus der erste Arbeitstag noch The ChubbChubbs kennt. Dieser Kulturlücke musste natürlich abgeholfen werden – zuerst die ChubbChubbs woraufhin Nici, wie übrigends jedes Mal, wenn sie etwas flauschiges sieht, zum Ralf meinte sie wolle unbedingt so einen ChubbChubb haben.

Danach den Klassiker der Arbeitssicherheitsfilme Staplerfahrer Klaus - Der erste Arbeitstag – Nici war kaum noch zu halten. Sie hat glaub ich noch mehr gelacht, als ich nachdem ich den Streifen zum ersten Mal gesehen hatte. Diesen Kurzfilm gibt es sogar auf DVD mit 75 Minuten Bonusmaterial (und ich hab jede einzelne Minute gesehen ;-).

Später surften wir noch ein wenig in YouTube – suchten die splattigsten Horrorfilme – sahen uns Achmed the death Terrorist und ähnlichen Schwachsinn an ehe ich die Zwei nach Hause brachte…

Yesterday I picked up a DVD recommended to me by a friend, it's called Spark of Insanity, by Jeff Dunham. In one word, itdazzledme. Dunham isn't very funny doing old-school stand-up, but his ventriloquist disguise brings out amazing characters, awesome jokes, more puns than I usually like, but it's worth it. It's been a long time since I've watched a comedy show that actually made me laugh. Spark of Insanity made me laugh. I've watched it about 4 times now, and my laugh-o-meter is going down at a very slow rate.

The irony about this specific show is that Achmed the Terrorist -- one of Dunham's puppet characters, has had his "act" watched 52 million times on YouTube -- a site that I visit quite often, although I usually know what I'm coming for so I type my search in pretty quick and don't really pay attention to anything else.

I strongly recommend both Spark of Insanity and Arguing With Myself, Dunham seems to be on a roll.

In keeping with the end of this post, I thought a little humor might be in order. Just so you know, I am sometimes not a bitch.

So, today was supposed to be the genesis of a new venture in the big wide world of medical-speak. But, it didn't happen. I had someone remote into my computer to install the necessary software for the programs I will need...and I sat back and watched as "she" fumbled through the DOS commands (and came up with a few of her own), ignored WIN error messages (not that I DON'T sometimes but not during an install), and try as she might, the computer screamed that something was seriously fucked up. She even went so far as to look for spyware in the processes. I am happy to report there was none. She tried for 4 HOURS to make it work...and it just didn't. I give her points for tenacity, but I have to take away a few for sheer ineptitude. This goes back to many previous episodes that made me grit my teeth when they occurred. Not really a Comcast fan, as those who have read my blog in the past are aware. Their customer support lacks any form of support and some of their tech people have proudly announced to me that they "went through 2 weeks of school" to get their jobs. There's something undeniably amiss there. I had a longer-than-I-wanted-to conversation with one of their alleged tech support gurus. I'm guessing Habib might have been a good name for him. He was Indian. His English was, to say the least, way bad. That was the first hurdle. The second was that, despite not having those golden "two weeks of learning at the Comcast God's feet," I knew about a bazillion times more than he did, and he even commented after an overly long conversation with him where we got nowhere with the problem and I eventually ended up fixing the issue myself, "You are veddy smart, Ms. XXXXXX. I learn from you. Thank you very much." In another lifetime, that might have been a compliment, but in THIS lifetime when I dial an alleged AMERICAN company and end up saying "excuse me" every other sentence because the person on the other end of the phone has zero English skills...well, there are not enough compliments in the world to make me feel good about that. And...they are paying him...and passing the cost on to me, the almighty consumer.

Ms. D said they will be remoting into my computer tomorrow a.m. (like rats deserting a sinking ship) because the install "didn't work out." Ummmm...okay. I won't sit idly by hoping for a miracle tomorrow. If wishes were fishes, I would have something to fry.

È difícil escolher três vídeos, mesmo por que não lembro de todos que já vi e achei engraçado ou bom, então vou selecionar três que gosto e que ainda não foram usados no meme para não estragar a festa dos que estão seguindo os links.

Para não ficar procurando muito vou colocar quatro vídeos logo de cara. São os quatro vídeos que estão no meu perfil do orkut, logo os únicos que merecem serem lembrados xD.
