I was on my way to this month's "Monthly Mic Check" and listening to the radio. Now I know what you're thinking: "why were you listening to the radio?", because my CD player is broken. So I listen to the radio, deal with it. I'm flipping through the channels and everything is terrible, the new indie rock all sounds whiny, the hip hop sounds generic, r&b is terrible, and new pop is so poppy. But not so with rock and roll. When all else fails, there's always classic rock and roll. When everyone is trying to sound like radiohead, there's rock and roll. When akon is on every song that t-pain is not on, there's always rock and roll. When every other genre fails us miserably, there is always the rock and roll of the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's to pull us through. There is always rock and roll. Thank god for rock and roll.

I'm a big fan of E-40 and his unique style and Akon is pretty cool. I'm not really feeling this song too much because it sounds a lot like every other Akon-assisted song out right now! La vidéo commence déjà à circuler en ligne sur les sites de potins et, on voit clairment Akon frappé une femme au visage... le sauvage.

Ce n'est pas la première fois que le chanteur s'en prend à un de ses fans en plein concert; il a déjà frappé un jeune garçon et présentement, il subit un procès à ce sujet...

I don't know what is going on with Akon, but he has really been having a difficult time in the last year performing without assaulting his fans in one way or another. Okay, he threw a kid from the stage last year and he got a little too much sexual healing from an underaged fan who just happened to be a minister's daughter. But now he has taken it to the next level. This is some footage of Akon performing in Africa this past weekend. The video is a little confusing to me, it looked like he was walking through the crowds and when people started grabbing him. Akon got disoriented because so much was going on and socked that girl hell of hard in the face. The video cuts off after he hits her, but I would like to know more what happened after he just socked a girl like that.

Akon, whose real name is Aliaune Thiam, asked for the jury trial during a brief appearance with his lawyer in Fishkill Town Court on Wednesday. He's due back in court for trial Dec. 1 unless a deal is negotiated in the meantime.

Here are some older Lil Wayne tracks that I've been meaning to post. There is so much content of Weezy out there that I don't even get around to posting some of his hot songs. Here are just a few that I'm putting up simply because they're hot and are bubbling under the radar and deserve more recognition (just in my opinion at least)...The first one being Your Smile by Bobby Valentino. Beat is hot (99% sure it was another Timbaland joint), has a nice r and b vibe, and other than saying wow twice in about 10 seconds for no particular reason he kills his verse.

1) Apparently he's been hooked up out and about on "secret dates" with Pamela Anderson. <---seriously. Footnote: Lisa Presley

2) Still being sued for a variety of contractual breaches.

3) Turning 50 years old and looks like a fondue pot of Monterrey Jack with a bit of eye liner.

4) He still likes taking the stunned rapper 'Akon' to the movies while donning pajamas and headscarves.

Can't we just go back to the days of yore?? I'm crying out for a little Jackson 5 action and normal noses.
