R: (said in Japanese) How are you, thank you for coming today.

MC: Long time no see, what have you been busy doing?

R: Because of “Speed Racer” and “Ninja Assassin” movie shooting so I couldn’t visit Japan. It has been a year I couldn’t see my Japanese fans, I don’t know what I can do for everyone so I decided to hold this fan meeting as a gift to my fans.

MC: Seem like you had gotten thinner?

R: Yes, because I had to shoot “Ninja Assassin” I lose 10kg of weight. The movie shooting had finished so I planned to adjust my body.

MC: It was said the movie shooting ended and you will release an album?

R: We estimated the new album to be release on October or maybe earlier on September. I planned to have activities in Seoul, Japan and China for a month, please look forward to it.

MC: Is this fan meeting free admission? Is new? How is it?

R: I saved up some money (smiled) so I decided to use it for this fan meeting as a gift to my fans.

MC: Seem like you saved up a lot of money (smiled), what are your activity plans in Japan?

R: From now on I wanted to present many good works to everyone. Not only English and Korean album, I also wanted to produce a Japanese album. Because of the activities in Hollywood and album activities in the World, I am sorry I couldn’t always meet with everyone. Since I am still young I wanted to try out many things (smiled). From now on I will work hard on Japan activities, please show your support.

Q: I heard there were love scene in the movie “Ninja Assassin”
R: The movie's central parts were the action scenes but also with some sad parts. I only can reveal a little, I had a crying scene, please look forward to it.

Q: You have been active for a year, what were some things that you felt you have changed?
R: I think lines in my forehead increased (smiled), I probably grew up a lot.

Q: More specific?
R: I felt more confident. Even though my Hollywood movie have not officially released yet. I had to live alone left my friends but I had serious thoughts on every little things. Then, I missed my fans in Asia. I chose the path that is not easy, I chose this path to challenge myself. In “Ninja Assassin” you will see my spirit of challenge. For example, you knew I love to eat, because of body training I could only eat chicken breast and vegetable, I am not allow to eat other food. Before I came here, I finally satisfied that I ate a regular meal, that difficult. (in Japanese) honto (smiled).

Q: Did your schedule in Japan engage in nationwide activities? You are not going to Fukuoka?
R: I have not decided yet, I am not confirmed with the places but if there were supporters I will go.

Q: How did you survive the difficulties such as loneliness where you can’t meet your friends and the meal restrictions?
R: 3 things. First is my family. Family always been my power. Then is my pride. I hope to become my supporters’ proud. Like before, when I had activities in Korea or Asia possible that I can live more relaxed, going to America is a new challenge in my life. If my fans feel proud because supporting me it will make me feel proud of myself as well. Lastly is my ambition, I wanted to gain the victory feeling and challenge myself into the next level.

Q: What were the differences between Korean movie and Hollywood movie?
R: The passion of the movie from the directors and the staffs are the same in Korea and Hollywood. However, the capital investments of the two were different.

Q: Can you tell a little story about your “Speed Racer” colleagues?
R: Susan Sarandon, I respected her since I was young. I was happy to meet her in real person. Her son is the same age as me, such relationship was special to me. When I was still learning English and everybody instructed me kindly. Especially Susan, it was a very happy time. I still felt like to dream when I had the chance to work with many famous actors.

Because of the “Ninja Assassin” role, Rain had lose 10kg of weight. It was said that after the movie ended, he will produce a Korean album and will engage in activities in Japan and China.

KBS News - Actor and singer Rain (Jung Ji-hoon, 26) has been in Berlin filming a movie, but he will be flying to Tokyo, Japan on the 30th for a free admission meeting with his fans at JCB Hall. His agency, J.Tune Entertainment, recently posted photographs of the celebrity on his website.

Rain is in Berlin, Germany, for the filming of the upcoming Joel Silver & Wachowski Brothers flick, "Ninja Assassin," directed by James McTeigue. They are running on a grueling schedule, spending over ten hours a day in action, hoping to wrap the shoot by the end of this month or early June.

Rain's agent in Berlin said that during the day off that the celebrity gets per week, he spends it resting at home or sometimes ventures out to watch a movie.  "Rain is making preparations for the fan event in Japan whenever he has the time," his agent added. "He's very excited to stand in front of his fans again."

My BF told me some details about Rain so I will tell everybody here. The first time my BF saw Rain was at the shooting place's hall way and he didn't recognize Rain at first, Rain just done shooting and he went to shower and when he came out he didn't wear any top, he was jumping and walking, Rain greeted my BF. BF said Rain has long hair and his body looked very strong and energetic, should be the type that most girls like.

BF saw Rain after a few days and Rain's hair was short. In Berlin, Rain was not well known, he ate with other actors, no body talks to Rain because he doesn't know German language. My BF's English isn't good so he didn't feel like have anything to said to Rain so he didn't initiate any conversation with Rain. Since there were only two Asian guys (my BF and Rain) at the eating table, my BF looked at Rain for a few times and Rain also looked back at my BF.

Later, when BF and Rain were exchanging the model weapons, BF said one English sentence, Rain didn't say anything and had no expression so my BF didn't talk anymore after that.

But today my BF said while they were exchanging the model weapons again, Rain smiled. BF said Rain's skin was very good. BF heard tomorrow Rain will shoot a kissing scene and this movie's shooting will be done at the end of June, the main actress is from England.

Rain is considering to act in the drama called "Four Seasons" produced by 싸이더스HQ. This is about an orphan who became French mercenary soldier in love with a news reporter lady in the arm force. Rain and Jun Ji-hyun are chosen to be the candidates. The author of this story is Lee Kyung Hee, the same lady wrote "Sang Doo, let's go to school" and "A Love to Kill" so Rain trusted her.

According to J.Tune, Rain will finish Ninja Assassin shooting in Berlin and will be back to Korea in the beginning of July, then he will start preparing for his new album. There's a time conflict between Ninja Assassin's promotion period and the drama shooting, therefore the drama will be reconsidered. Jun Ji-hyun side also has schedule conflict as well. The team behind V for Vendetta are back in action and one has to wonder if the Wachowski brothers will have better luck as producers this time around than they did as directors for Speed Racer, the lowest cash producing film of May. Warner Bros. has sent out a press release stating that director James McTeigue is once again behind the camera as their martial arts extravaganza Ninja Assassin officially begins production in Berlin. Filming is underway on Ninja Assassin, being directed by James McTeigue (V For Vendetta) from a screenplay by Matthew Sand and J. Michael Straczynski. Joel Silver, Grant Hill, Larry Wachowski and Andy Wachowski are producing, with Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and William Fay serving as executive producers.

Ninja Assassin stars Korean pop star Rain (Speed Racer) as the central character, Raizo; Naomie Harris (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) as Europol researcher Mika Coretti; Ben Miles (V For Vendetta) as Europol Agent Ryan Maslow; legendary martial arts performer Sho Kosugi (Revenge of the Ninja) as the ruthless leader of the Ozunu Clan; and Rick Yune (Die Another Day) as Raizo's rival, Takeshi.

Principal photography is taking place at Babelsberg Studios and on location in various parts of Berlin.

Ninja Assassin follows Raizo (Rain), one of the deadliest assassins in the world. What is worth mentioning about this fan meet is that it is different from other South Korean star's fan meet: the fans will not be charged any entry fee. Usually Korean stars holding fan meets in Japan will generally have entrance fees, and for a top star such as Rain, the admission ticket usually is between 7000 to 10,000 Yen.

This Rain fan meet will have around 3,100 fans participating, and because it will be free, admission tickets for this block of people is estimated about 310 million won. In addition to that, the stage facility, fan meet location, accoustics, lighting and other hiring expenses and so on will amount to 150 million won; all of which will be paid for by Rain.

Rain indicated that holding this fan meet is his expression of gratitude towards his Japanese fans for their support in last year's Japan concert, and moreover the fan meet is close to Rain's birthday (June 25), therefore he expressed his hope to celebrate his own birthday together with his Japanese fans at the fan meet. Rain's entertainment agency J. Tune Entertainment (CEO Cho Dong-won) is preparing to launch a cellular content service for Japanese fans.

On April 28th, a J. Tune representative announced that they have signed a contract with ACCEL Corporation, a Japanese company dealing in wireless services and that they are ready to provide "top quality content that will fulfill the needs of fans in Japan."

ACCEL will receive entertainment content from J. Tune and release it in early June to Japan's three major cellular service providers - NTT Docomo, KDDI, and Softbank.

"We plan on sharing footage of Rain's performances and his daily life through the content service which can be viewed in Japan anytime, anywhere," a J. Tune representative said. "We hope that Japanese fans will show great interest in this new service."

Japan's major mobile service operators will offer a service this summer that contains pictures and videos of Korean pop idol Rain, his management agency said Tuesday.

The J. Tune Entertainment said it has reached an agreement with Japan-based wireless service provider ACCEL Corporation to provide the contents through three mobile service phone carriers - NTT DoCoMo, KDDI and Softbank Mobile - starting in June.

The contents will include videos of Rain's stage performances and private life, the management agency said.

The Korean megastar, named one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People Who Shape Our World" in 2006, has released four hit albums and starred in three popular Korean TV dramas. Among his latest projects is a role in the movie "Speed Racer," directed by Andrew and Laurence Wachowski. It is slated for release in the U.S. early May this year .

Fans of Korean pop and entertainment star Rain (Jung Ji-Hoon) were treated to an advance screening of his first Hollywood film, the highly anticipated family action adventure “Speed Racer” which opens May 9th. The film follows Speed Racer, played by Emile Hirsch, and a group of other high-octane drivers who inhabit a futuristic and imaginative world where speed reigns supreme.

Rain, an internationally best selling recording artist and star of one of Korea’s all time highest rated dramas, “Full House”, scored his American film debut playing a rival driver of Speed Racer‘s named Taejo Togokhan.

Rain’s fans waited for hours outside the ImaginAsian Center in Los Angeles to catch a glimpse of the star walking the red carpet, some even flying in from Boston and New York for the chance to meet him.

Preceding Rain’s arrival at the event were prominent Asian-American actors and one of his co-stars from “Speed Racer”, Christian Oliver, playing driver “Snake Oiler” in the film; who all came out to show their support for Rain and his Hollywood debut.

Chin Han, one of the stars of the upcoming Batman film “The Dark Night”, greeted reporters and looked sharp in a dark suit. 14-year-old Disney recording artist Boo Boo Stewart charmed on the red carpet and spoke about how excited he was to see Rain and “Speed Racer”.

Veteran Hollywood favorite James Hong was gregarious with everyone and playfully accepted a compliment from photographers who told him that the cheers from fans weren’t really for Rain but for him. Parry Shen and Karin Anna Chung were also standouts at the “Speed Racer” pre-screening.

When handsome actor Christian Oliver was asked on the red carpet what his favorite part of making the special-effects filled film was, he said, “There were so many favorite parts…being in front of the green screen and having your imagination just going wild was a pleasure. And playing a character named “Snake Oiler” lends itself to a lot of fun and a lot of craziness. It was amazing.”

“I didn’t get to work with him (directly)," Christian said about co-star Rain, "but I had fun (hanging out) with him at the hotel. He’s a very, very down to Earth, mellow guy. It’s unbelievable; it’s kind of hard to imagine how big a star he is because he doesn’t have any of these kinds of superstar bad habits. He’s a very nice guy.”

A few minutes later, Rain himself arrived at the pre-screening to the loud screams of his fans who were represented by a diversity of ethnic backgrounds.

The exuberant crowd carried signs like "L.A. loves (heart) Rain" and “NY loves (heart) Rain” and a banner congratulating him on six years of entertaining.

Rain was dressed stylishly in a jean and dressy jacket ensemble and beamed as he greeted his fans and supporters; only briefly leaving them to stroll down the red carpet and talk to reporters. Amiable and charismatic, the smiling star also exuded a disarmingly shy and unassuming quality; attributes which have only helped to increase the international public’s fascination with him.

When he was asked what the most fun part of making future blockbuster “Speed Racer” was, the star thoughtfully replied, “Probably the driving scenes.” Rain mentioned that he didn’t enjoy working with the green screen as much as he enjoyed doing the action filled racing scenes in the film.

On working with directors the Wachowski brothers, he said, “They are the best…they have the amazing ability to make dreams come true with their powerful imaginations.” After a reporter asked how Rain, who has fans all over the world, felt about having even more fans in the middle of Los Angeles, he replied enthusiastically “I always love my fans!” while turning and waving to the screaming crowd behind him.

Rain’s first big foray into American films has him playing Taejo Togokhan, the head driver and heir to Togokhan motors, one of the most prominent racing companies in the colorful world of “Speed Racer”. In the film, Rain’s character Taejo must defend his family’s honor against his and Speed Racer's (Emile Hirsch’s) mutual enemy, billionaire E.P. Arnold Royalton who wants to take over Togokhan motors and control every aspect of the racing industry.

“I’m so excited because it’s my first Hollywood film,” the beaming star said after being asked about all the anticipation surrounding “Speed Racer” and the experience of being in such a large scale Hollywood production.

The entertainer also mentioned that one of the most important things he wanted the American public to know about him is that he is “hard working”. Shot on location in Germany, “Speed Racer” required top physical fitness and long hours performing in front of a green screen.

When Rain, who has played to sold out stadiums around the world (including in New York’s Madison Square Garden), was asked when he would have a concert in Los Angeles, he declined to comment. He did say however that when it came to acting versus singing, “I love both of them” and commented that he wants to continue doing both.

Between interviews, Rain posed for pictures and palled around with co-star and friend Christian Oliver. After being interviewed by the press, Rain posed with the Speed Racer Mach 5 which was parked outside the theatre to the delight of fans and passers by. Several L.A. motorists had their cell phones out snapping photos of the Mach 5 and Rain. Fans behind the barricades were streaming tears as their hero quickly moved away from the car and began signing autographs and appreciatively accepting bouquets of flowers from the crowd.

Before heading into the packed theatre to watch “Speed Racer” with special guests and fans, Rain commented that he enjoyed the experience of making the family-friendly actioner because, “The actors and crew were like a family…we had the most efficient team work…we had the best.”

Rain, who rose as a singer and actor in Korea, came close to being a world star after a world tour, including a performance in America. With this movie, he will establish a foundation. With his sincerity and effort, he came out earlier than expected. He also has the lead role for "Ninja Assassin", the next work of the Wachowski brothers, the directors of "Speed Racer". The directors did not hesitate to put Rain in the leading role of their big project, ten years in the making.

At this point, it's hard not to be curious about the chemistry between Rain and "Speed Racer". The answers come from the world premiere on the 18th and an interview with Rain. Of course, most of the answers are not disappointing.

Does Rain speak English well?
When Rain, who was born, raised, and worked in Korea, said he would come out in a Hollywood movie, everyone was doubtful about his English skills. Would he be able to show his talent when he had to focus on accomplishing his English lines?

But after the premiere, there were many in the audience who applauded Rain's natural recitation of his lines. There weren't any long and difficult lines, but there was no indication that it was his first English movie.

Rain said that the secret for these results were 'honestly'. He said, "From the beginning, I truthfully admitted that I was learning English and to tell me if I pronounced something wrong. My fellow actors also corrected my usage, and monitored my scenes especially with care".

His way of studying English is to talk to himself. He revealed, "It's become a habit to sit at a coffee shop and ask questions and answer them by myself. My English is still at a conversation level, but by next year, I hope to speak comfortable even in a formal setting".

Taejo Togokhan? Isn't he Japanese?
Asian roles in Hollywood movies are usually Japanese or Chinese. This movie was a remake of the Japanese comic "Mahha GoGoGo" and there was speculation that Rain's haracter Taejo Togokhan was Japanese. It's not a big problem of what nationality he is, but there was the desire that it would be known as a Korean.

The movie approached his nationality vaguely, and took a step back from the problem. Togokhan's father seems Chinese, and his younger sister seems Japanese. The company name at the office is in Korean. Rain's opinion greatly influenced the Korean in the movie. Rain took care of the problem by saying "Taejo Togokhan is just Asian American".

Easy to adjust to Hollywood actors and system?

He wasn't absolutely alone, but there were a lot of things he had to do alone in that unfamiliar place. Rain said he was worried at first. "It seemed Hollywood top stars wouldn't be as kind to Asians".

But the results were opposite. Rain was amazed at the set, directors, and actors, but he was determined not to make it obvious. So he had no NGs or faults. The actors were nice and they got along well.

Rain revealed his ability to adapt. "Almost everything was filmed with a green screen. It was embarrassing to stare into space and recite lines with nothing there, but after the second time, I got used to it and it was fun".

He also got along with the actors. "There is a scene where I punch Emile Hirsch. I still remember people monitoring in front of the camera and telling me that I did really well. And Susan Sarandon, who I liked when I was young, complimented my acting and it seemed like a dream. Later, she took a signed CD, saying that she saw my performance on YouTube. She sent a letter congratulating my Hollywood debut, and I have it safe at home".

"I watched 'Lost', 'Prison Break', and 'Entourage" to study English, and it was nice to meet Matthew Fox, the main character of 'Lost'. He is handsome, and I tried hard to get close to them".

As the directors, Rain, who didn't have a single NG, seemed to be a logical choice for their next work. Rain wanted to treat them to Korean food, and invited them to Korean restaurant in Berlin for bulgogi and kimchi. The Wachoski brothers then asked, "You work very hard. There's something we've been preparing for ten years. Do you want to do it?"

Rain said, "Sure. Who's the main character?" And the directors answered, "It's you". And so, "Ninja Assassin", filming from next month, will allow Rain to do the action and sad acting that he wanted.

Is there a big emphasis?
Taejo Togokhan is an important character who controls the main character's situation. He is not simply a sweet friend or an evil character, but a role whose mystery grows towards the end of the movie. Rain acted out scenes when he was angry, nervous about a competition, and cheering innocently.

Initially, the emphasis was small, but it grew with Rain's efforts. How hard he must have worked for the directors to expand his role. But if you know Rain's sincerity, it is easy to understand. Afraid that he would be pushed around by the actors, he didn't sleep right, wore the racing uniform in 35 degree Celsius weather, not asking for water or rest, and showed that 'Koreans are always like this'.

It is a custom for blockbusters, but there may be a third "Speed Racer", and Rain may have the opportunity to reveal the mystery behind Taejo Togokhan. He said, "I'm curious about some scenes toward the end. There seems to be something after that, but they won't tell me".

Korean pop singer and Asia-wide music star Rain or Jung Ji Hoon, 26, is spreading his wings to the world -- not in tour but on screen.

Thanks to his songs and charismatic dancing, followed by a modeling and acting career, he was dubbed one of the world's most beautiful people by People Magazine in 2007 and is to debut as a movie actor in a Hollywood blockbuster "Speed Racer" directed by the Wachowski brothers, director of the world-famous "Matrix" trilogy of films.

Ahead of the international release of Speed Racer on May 9, Rain spoke of his new acting career in Hollywood and his future plans in an interview with Yonhap News on Monday (Apr. 21).

Speed Racer is the story of a racing car driver named Speed Racer (played by Emile Hirsch) who is a natural behind the wheel and loyal to his family racing business. After turning down a lucrative offer from Royalton Industries, he finds a dirty secret that Royalton has been manipulating the race to boost profits. The only way for Speed to save his family's business and the sport he loves is to beat Royalton at his own game.

Rain will act as the owner of a car company, rival driver and friend of Speed named Taejo Togokan, a man who has Korean origins and much charisma. Having received a few offers to play leading roles in American movies before, Rain says he chose to act a supporting role in Speed Racer because he wished to become a Major Leaguer rather than a Minor League player in the American film industry. Rain says he learned a lot and did his best while filming. The Wachowski brothers later recommended he play a leading role in "Ninja Assassin" to be directed by James McTeigue scheduled to begin shooting on May 28.

Rain said he spent most of the time with production staff, even at meal hours and kept acting when other actors took a rest. He said he wrote in the Korean characters (Hangeul) for the staff when eating meals to introduce their beauty. As a result, Rain wore a racing uniform with the Korean characters for "Taejo Togokan" emblazoned on the sleeve.

Despite the language barrier as a non-native English speaker, Rain said he made efforts to speak English as naturally as possible with his English coach. He acted with Hollywood movie stars Susan Sarandon, John Goodman, Christina Ricci and Matthew Fox while filming. He also thanked his fans who visited the film shoot in Berlin.

Emphasizing the importance of the Asian market, Rain said the international movie industry should focus on Asian marketing and cast popular stars from Asia.

Rain plans to produce a special album for Asian fans in autumn after finishing filming Ninja Assassin in July this year and an English-language album later.

In February, Rain recently concluded a contract with the William Morris Agency (WMA), a New York-based talent agency that represents entertainers such as Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Russell Crowe.

Rain began his singing career after releasing his first solo album, "Bad Guy," in 2002, a huge success that was followed by other popular albums. He launched his acting career when he starred in the Korean television drama "Full House" in 2004 and the movie "I'm a Cyborg and That's Okay" in 2006.

McTeigue co-directed the hit Hollywood film "V for Vendetta" with the Wachowski brothers.

- He said that even though his English has improved and that he still has a lot of time to spend in the States for his work, his work in Asia is beginning to surface again and he knows that ultimately Asia is still the place to be because of the tremendous amount of support he gets from his fans in Asia.

Eye: When I was young, I hated my eyes. There were many times when I wanted to go get my double eyelids surgically done, but the plastic surgeon felt that my small eyes were kind special, so he won't do it for me. Who would know that these pair of eyes helped many people to remember me? Now to think of it, it¡¯s lucky I go through the operation.

Hand: It is important for dancers to protect their hands. To fully communicate the rhythm and essence of a song and a dance performance, every part of the body must be flexible and agile, the hand is no exception. I wonder if everybody realized this, but my fingers are very pointed. If I don't become a singer, maybe I would have become a great pianist! *Laughs*

Waist: Shoulders, waist, butt, legs, feet -- these are the five crucial parts for any dancer, which should be protected like the dancer protects his life! But very often, they are problematic. When dancing, it is important to "open" your joints, and these joints are very vulnerable to injuries. When I first started dancing, I sprained my waist or leg almost every day. I had no idea using so much strength would result in injuries. Nowadays, when I perform on stage, some people will ask me how come my waist is so flexible. This is of course, the result of long-term training. There's also health elements here. For the sake of your health, everybody should also take note to train their bodies.

Forehead: When I was young, I often hear the adults say that people with high foreheads are very smart, and these people tend to be fast-learners. At that time, I thought I was doomed for life. My forehead is not high, so I probably will be terrible at school, and probably never learn anything well! In the end, it seems the adults' prophecy was fulfilled in me. Honestly speaking, my academic results were not very good. This is especially after I started becoming obsessed with dancing. I skipped classes almost every day. My results were horrible, but my dancing foundations were doing great instead. From this, it shows that I'm not stupid at everything. So even without a high forehead, as long as you practice doubly hard every day, you can still succeed.

Nose: I have quite a pretty nose. Look at my side-profile, isn't my nose nice and straight? I had a nose bridge surgical procedure done, and at that time, many fans were very worried. Everyone, please don't worry. I am very healthy. Please take care of your health too!

Mouth: Friends around me all say I have very full lips, and they look very sexy. Of course I'm very happy. Although I pretend to be very shy in front of them, but when I am alone at home, I'm secretly very gleeful about it.

Shoulder: I think men should have a pair of shoulders that allow women to lean with security. If I have a girlfriend, I will give all my love to her. I won't make her cry, upset her or allow her to get hurt. I'll block all wind and rain for her with my broad shoulders.

Rain's work is under wraps. he doesn't appear in front of TV or media recently. he's is now working in busan, but the security is very tight, cloud members couldn't get any news. we only hear rumors that he is working in this and that place..

a korean cloud member saw rain at a beauty salon (she's a staff there). she said that rain came with 2 other guys from jyp. the 2 guys went for haircut on the 1st level while rain went to the 2nd level for his haircut. as the hairstyle is a secret, she doesn't know how he looks after that. there was a report today from jyp that rain's hairstyle isn't the 1 in the group photo.

news from a cloud member who stays in busan. rain and his mgr went to a seaside restaurant at busan to eat sashimi. koreas like to eat sashimi and most will eat that whenever they go to the seaside. the best wine to go with sashimi is soju. seems that rain saw a new brand of soju and drank that very happily.

today.

saw the news rept from jyp. rain is now in the studios in seoul, will be going to busan to continue his filming on the 5th. so he's in seoul now, no wonder, it's raining the whole day today.

a very thrifty rain.
i heard it from the radio. it's very funny. on 23 mar, the guest for the program was Boom, (a korean vj who's very humorous).

he said that he and rain were both from anyang high school. when they were schooling, both were going thru hard times. at that time, rain was already a member of Dance grp fan club while boom was a member of another dance grp. as they were both sitting at the same table in class, their relationship is quite close.

after graduation, boom was going thru a desperate period while rain is getting more popular and becoming a big star. one day, rain told him -> i've been looking for you.

rain also said, for friendship sake, let me give u a treat. boom said that it wounded his pride at that time, but he missed his freind and also, he is looking forward to the sumptious dinner.

so, together with 3 other friends, boom went to XXX? (sori, duno how to translate. but it's a certain high class restaurant n bar in seoul) to wait for rain.

at that time, a benz stopped in frnt of them. rain wound down the car window and asked them to hop in. so they went in and chatted.

rain drove and brought them to a "meat and vegie" restaurant. (sori, direct translation). boom and his friends thot, "wow, a sumptious dinner tonite!" but then, they realise that the main dish was pork not beef! and it only cost $3000 won per person.

actually, it's not easy to find a cheap restaurant near the XXX? (that class high restaurant). the average cost is around $6000-8000. but rain is so resourceful and cute, he was ard 20 yrs old at that time. cheaper restaurants are normally near universities. but it's really not easy to find a restaurant that sells pork at only $3000 won.

at that time, they were abit disappointed. but rain was clueless abt that. he smilingly told them, "it's my treat, eat up"...

when the DJ heard the story, he smiled.. juz imagine the scene, it's so cute!!!

boom also told the dj another story. when they were shopping at Dongdamun, rain will definitely carry a small note bk, and write down the price of each shop. he will only buy the clothes after comparing which shop is the cheapest. so becos of this, boom was also able to buy cheaper clothes.

that dj is also close to rain. she said that rain's thriftiness is famous in the entertainment scene. becos he has been thru hardships, so he is careful abt how he spends every single cent. but he is not a stingy person, pls dun misunderstand
