Sebetulnya ini terjadi karena iseng-iseng saya, setelah saya berkunjung ke webblognya salah satu rekan baik saya, maka hasilnya saya punya banner “Blogmu Exspresimu”.

Dari situ saya muncul ide, kenapa ga saya bikin sendiri bannernya terus saya pasang di blog saya. Mulai dari situlah saya coba-coba bikin banner sendiri. Berbekal pengalaman saya dan pengetahuan yang saya punya untuk bikin banner, akhirnya bisa juga tuh pasang banner di blog saya.

Apa yang diperlukan untuk bikin banner?

Mungkin untuk yang satu ini, mau tidak mau kita harus menguasai dulu beberapa program komputer, terutama program untuk gambar dan edit foto. Saya pake program corel dan photoshop untuk edit fotonya.

Mengapa demikian ? Karena mungkin untuk saat ini baru program itulah yang special untuk menggambar di komputer dan untuk edit foto agar tampil lebih bagus lagi.

Bagaimana cara pasang di blog kita?

Nah…ini yang terpenting, setelah kita berhasil bikin banner karya kita sendiri, sekarang tinggal kita pasang pada blog kita. Prosesnya ternyata mudah dan sama seperti yang lain. Itulah hebatnya kalo kita punya blog di Wordpress ini.

Masih ingat soal widget? Dari situlah tempat kita pasang banner kita. Pilih widget Teks, tarik dan drag pada menu sidebar kita, lalu buka kolom widget teks ini, tinggal paste link upload file kita tadi, maka jadilah banner itu terpasang.

Sebelumnya anda harus upload dulu data banner yang telah anda buat tadi ke wordpress anda, caranya :

1. Buka panel new posting atau buat tulisan baru di admin panel anda.
2. Pilih tambahkan media, atau insert new media atau juga upload media dari menu anda.
3. Pilih file yang akan di upload, lalu tekan upload atau unggah
4. Tunggu beberapa saat sampai seluruh proses berjalan selesai dengan sendirinya.
5. Bila berhasil, jangan lupa copy link file banner anda tadi, pada kolom link
6. Pilih save atau simpan seluruh perubahan pada admin upload anda.

Nah…sekarang baru kita pasang di widget tadi………..

1. Buka panel widget teks anda, lalu paste link url banner anda tadi.
2. Sekarang link banner anda sudah ada di data wordpress blog anda.
3. Pada link url banner anda jangan lupa untuk menambahkan kode Htmlnya, yaitu seperti ini <img src="http://shannypersonalblog.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/banner-donor.jpg">
   Link url anda berada di antara tanda “….”, di awalnya menggunakan kode <img src=”, sedangkan di akhirnya dengan kode “>
4. Ini penting untuk diperhatikan, karena kalo tanpa itu, kemungkinan banner anda tidak akan muncul, alias hanya tampilan tulisan image saja tanpa gambar bannernya.
   Jadi jangan lupa untuk menambahkan kode htmlnya, agar banner anda bisa tampil di menu sidebar anda.

Maafkan saya, disini saya tidak menjelaskan bagaimana cara kita bikin banner dengan menggunakan corel atau fhotoshop, karena kalo harus di jelaskan semuanya disini, butuh waktu lama, dan saya pikir itu tidak hanya bisa dijelaskan saja tapi harus langsung di praktekkan.

Nah, kalo ga bisa bikin banner pake program tersebut gimana dong?
Yah terpaksa deh anda harus cari teman, sahabat atau relasi anda untuk ngajari anda menggunakan program tersebut.

Tapi kalo ga mau repot, ya udah aja minta dibikinkan banner sesuai keinginan anda pada tukang setting komputer atau layout printer, mereka lebih jago dan udah kerjaannya berhubungan dengan design ama grafis komputer.

Tips : Jangan lupa untuk membuat banner di blog anda, hal yang terpenting adalah ukuran dari banner tersebut janganlah terlalu besar. Janganlah anda membayangkan bikin banner dengan ukuran sebenarnya, karena ini pasti ga muat untuk di pasang pada menu sidebar anda.

Tips : Usahakan hasil banner anda di buat dalam file dengan extension jpg. Atau boleh juga dalam extension bmp, gif, atau html, sehingga file anda tadi dapat diketahui dan dikenal oleh wordpress.

Tips : untuk saya dan juga anda, mulai sekarang kita harus mau belajar dan mengenal kode Html, karena ini banyak sekali manfaatnya terutama bagi kita yang sering online di internet. Setiap file atau data yang termuat dalam internet ini selalu dikonversikan kedalam kode html oleh internetnya sendiri, nah kita harus mengenalnya juga, walaupun kadang bikin ribet dan nyusahin…

Selamat mencoba, mudah-mudahan berhasil dan sukses terus buat blog anda. Yang penting ada banner atau tidak tetap terus ngeblog yah……..

KENAPA HARUS PUNYA BLOG?

Una volta completata l'installazione, apriamo Mozilla Firefox e rechiamoci alla pagina https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/2275 per installare l'estensione Torbutton. Questa estensione aggiungerà un bottone (sulla barra di stato, in basso a destra) grazie al quale potrete attivare o disattivare la protezione a piacimento.

Per approfondire l'argomento, il sito di Tor è un buon punto di partenza (http://www.torproject.org/).

A pesar de estar casi siempre con Fifefox hay que reconocer que IceCat es una excelente alternativa y ya ha salido la versión 3-g1. La verdad que es interesante probar diferenctes navegadores hasta sentirse con uno agusto, yo estuve probando un tiempo IceCat y es excelente y muy rápido. Si te gusta firefox, pero, sin privativo, usa IceCat, bueno, sin mas que decir aquí el anuncio y los links:

Over the years, I've tried many different download managers each claiming to be the best, the fastest and commonly free of charge.

Download Accelarator Plus works fine with just smaller downloads but I don't approve of it with bigger ones though it claims to have resume broken downloads capability.  Sometimes, it just sucks!

I don't recommend either browser integrated download managers for they get in the way while surfing - - it's not just compatible with me as someone who does multiple browsing at the same time.

I'm okay with Opera's download manager though, works fast just like the way how the browser works.  It truly makes use of your bandwidth, I love it!  But just like any other browser integrated ones, you can't close the browser while there's some downloading going on, you can only minimize it.  It also support torrents but I don't rely with it much I have superlight and lightning-fast uTorrent to do the job *just an exaggeration, hehe*.

I am most comfortable with Flashget, it was the first ever download manager I've ever tried and I keep on switching back to it after trying others out.

It's the most reliable one, speaking from experience and I could even just leave it on its own and does the job without too much supervision.  I don't worry much about resuming broken downloads since like it has a mind of its own, it just keeps on trying to get things done and I rarely see errors with it; a very good feature for such a free service. It also has bittorent support and many other protocols and it also provides you with speed worth your bandwidth and it just keeps on improving.

So for now, Flashget's the one for me, I strongly recommend it.

Normalmente quando vi collegate sul sito http://mail.google.com ed inserite il vostro nome utente e la vostra password, la fase di login è protetta dall'https con algortimo di crittografia, pertanto siamo almeno 'tranquilli' del fatto che le nostre credenziali di accesso non possano essere intercettate da terzi.

Una volta entrati nella vostra casella però la connessione non e' piu' crittografata, quindi tutta la vostra corrispondenza in entrata ed uscita viaggia "in chiaro", e ciò non e' consigliabile quando si utilizzi una connessione di tipo pubblico (es wifi non protetto).

Tuttavia, e' possibile fare in modo che la crittografia permanga anche dopo l'accesso, accedendo alla vostra casella gmail dall'indirizzo https://mail.google.com anzichè da http://mail.google.com
Lo svantaggio dell'accesso https è un sensibile rallentamento nella gestione della casella di posta, che pero' va a beneficio della vostra sicurezza.

Ma non è questa la novità...l'accesso https alla casella Gmail si è sempre potuto fare, sin dagli albori del servizio...
la novità consiste nel fatto che e' possibile impostare la vostra casella affinchè l'uso dell' https avvenga sempre ed in automatico, anche quando fate l'accesso da http://mail.google.com anziche' da https://mail.google.com

In questo modo sarete sicuri di avere una connessione con i server gmail costantemente protetta, perche' crittografata, a prescindere dall'indirizzo digitato nel browser o memorizzato nel vostro bookmark per accedere alla casella.
Con questa impostazione attiva, qualsiasi riferimento http alla casella Gmail verrà automaticamente mutato in accesso https.

I have a Nokia N95 myself (an S60-based phone, such as that mentioned in the articles above) and love it to death, except - and this is a huge exception - for the web browser.

Granted, while the S60 browser is leaps and bounds above the browsers on other non-smartphones and Windows Mobile devices (Pocket Internet Explorer blows!), it comes nowhere close to the browser on the iPhone. It's not just the lack of touch screen or having a smaller screen either.

I *can*, believe it or not, read non-mobile formatted websites on my N95. The core of the browser is actually very similar to the browser in the iPhone, and many iPhone-specific sites work quite well on the N95.

However, as you can see from these pictures (sourced from news.mobile9.com), the browser still has it's large share of rendering issues:

Nokia, Symbian, for any of you out there listening, the iPhone is *slaughtering* you in terms of browsing capability. I've seriously considered selling my N95 to get the iPhone 3G, but I'm still very disappointed in the iPhone OS in general (way too locked down, Apple style; no background applications, etc.)

Please, please, pretty please, work on an update for the S60 browser that fixes the rendering issues and the frequent crashes! Thank you in advance!

What if I told you it was free?

What if I told you that 99.9% of websites will work in exactly like they work in IE? Too good to be true? It's not!

I remember hearing about Mozilla when it was still in Beta, before it became the Netscape Navigator and finally Firefox. I tried it, but due to the newness of the browser, and the whole world wide web for that matter, it didn't work very well. Most websites at the time just weren't designed to be compatible with anything other than IE. But that has changed!

If you are using IE 7 (and if you are using IE, you should be!) than you have been introduced to the wonderful world of "tabbed browsing." Did you think Microsoft came up with that? Nope!

So, you can download (for free) the Mozilla Firefox web browser here, but that is just the beginning. After you download it you can download numerous "add-ons." Since Firefox is an "open source" browser, anyone can make add-ons for it! This means there is a wide variety of add-ons for every thinkable (and some you won't think of) use.

There are also "themes" you can download. These themes are skins for your browser so you can change the colors/shapes/sizes of your buttons and task bars. There is everything from sports team themes to holiday themes. Ones that just change the colors to some that change the look entirely. There is even one that makes Firefox look like IE!!! Theme I'm using currently is Aquatint Black Gloss.

In addition to the add-ons and themes another feature that I like is that you can place your favorite bookmarks (IE calls bookmarks favorites) right on the toolbar for easy one-click access!

I personally have added the following add-ons:

1.) Adblock Plus - Helps block pop-ups and many ads on website pages.

2.) Feed Sidebar - This add-on sold me on Firefox. It gives me a very nice sidebar that I can open and close with all of my RSS feeds in it. It also adds a nice icon and small notices whenever I get a new RSS item. Since I read 12-15 blogs everyday, this makes it VERY easy to keep up to date with them. You should subscribe to my RSS feed.

2.) Google Preview - Gives you a small thumbnail preview of EACH page in the results of your google search!

3.) Surf Canyon - Gives you preview pics on Craigslist and gives you suggested similar links to your search results on Craigslist, google, and Yahoo!.

4.) PMOG - A passive game. It puts a toolbar at the bottom of your browser, and as you surf the web you are playing a game with thousands of other people. Just by doing your everyday surfing you are playing the game and will find missions and other surprises left by other players. These missions will take you to other pages (on a theme) and are very helpful to find new and interesting websites.

5.) Woot! Watcher - On the bottom corner of my screen it tells me what Woot! is selling at what price for the day. Only works with original woot! currently.

Overall there are hundreds of different reasons to love Firefox. Everyone can make it exactly what they need their browser to be! Go check it out!

Confesso que não faz muito tempo que eu aderi ao Facebook. Mas, como todos já devem saber, gosto de me manter conectado a tudo através do BlackBerry. E como, acessar o Facebook, pelo browser (nativo), não é uma experiência muito agradavél. Fui atrás de uma segunda alternativa.

E posso dizer que foi relativamente fácil encontra-la. O próprio Facebook disponibilizou um aplicativo, que permite gerenciar uma conta através do BlackBerry.

From the feed back we have received it may be a bit dense and especially with the badges overwhelmed a few people so we are loosing or moving the badges and are looking at making some tweaks on the home page.

Und was für Plugins sind noch so im Browser installiert? Jedes einzelne kann Deine ganzen Mühen anonym im Netz zu bleiben zu Nichte machen. Bei der Anonymität ist das schwächste Glied der Kette das Maß für die Qualität.

Mein Tip: eigenes Profil im Browser fürs anonyme surfen, oder gleich nen eigener Account auf dem Rechner... Oder gar gleich - nen eigener Rechner dafür? Vielleicht ne VM? Der Kreativität sind keine Grenzen gesetzt - Der Anonymität allerdings jede Menge.

The first obvious thing users will notice is the search box at the top of the Me.dium sidebar. Entering a word or a phrase will execute the search and navigate the user to me.dium.com where the user can explore the search results.

The second thing people will notice are Facebook notifications. The new sidebar polls Facebook using their  API's and visually updates the sidebar.

The first hidden feature is multi-user chat. The sidebar has been enhanced to support many-to-many conversations. Click the +  to add another friend to the conversation.

The last, and my favorite, is a mixture of old and new features all working together. First, re-size the sidebar by placing the mouse between the top view and the friends list. I like to drag the friends list to the bottom of the screen, leaving Facebook notifications visible and everything minimized. Next, click the M icon at the top of Me.dium sidebar and this will turn on the Me.dium Recommendation Engine. Magically, the Me.dium will start to suggest related URL's based on your surfing patterns. The view is live so as people make connections to related web pages the Matching Engine will update the sidebar in real time.
