These items had all been taken from either Chris’ dorm room or his car. She laid them on the bed and proceeded to tell us to whom she believed the items belonged. When she got to the brush, she picked it up peered into it and then shoved it into our collective face.

“Do you see this? Do you see that hair? This is not my brush and that is definitely not my hair. I found this in his drawer. When I saw it I snatched it up, threw it at him and asked him who it belonged to. Do you know what he told me? He told me it was his study partner’s. I wanted to beat his ass.”

I couldn’t believe she had collected these items, and kept them, traveled with them, and could pull them out for show and tell. She held the proof of deceit and cheating, but didn’t have the strength to leave him. Cheating happens, it doesn’t necessarily mean break up, but repeat offenders should not be trusted. In my mind each item was just another reason to leave him alone.

If you are caught doing something wrong, you will say whatever it takes to rectify the situation even lie. He told her he loved her and couldn’t bear being without her. I realized that she believed him and sacrificed her happiness and sanity on this truth. She just went on and on, and he just stood there. We talked for about twenty minutes and then we said goodbye and promised to keep in touch.

4. Alet kutusunda Ten rengimize tıkladığımızda reng tayfı çıakcak. Buradan aşağıya doğru kayıp daha koyu bir ton seçelim. OK deyip yeni rengimizi onaylayalım.

5. Ve Final: Yeni gölge rengi ile seçili alanı boyadığımızda böyle oluyor.

Ben daha karakter dışındaki mekanlar için karikatürün karesine gölge vermek için kullanıyorum.

1. Öncelikle gölgenin etki edeceği alanları seçiyoruz. Bu sadece arka fonda olabilir öndeki adamlarda olabilir. Ama sıra ile yapacağız. Önce arka fon, sonra adamlar…

1. Elips seçme aletine tıklayın. Hiçbir şey yapmadan üstteki ayarlardan; (subtract from selection) seçimi çıkar ayarına tıklayın. Karemizde daha önce seçtiğimiz alanı kapsayan duruma göre bir çember, bir kıvrım, bir halka, bir elips oluşturun. Oluşturduğumuz alan seçimden çıkacak geri kalan bizim gölge yerlerimiz olacak. İlk seferde istediğimiz gibi olmaz ise hemen ctrl+z yapıp işlemi geri alın tekrar deneyin.

1. birinci yoldaki gibi daha koyu bir seçip seçili alanı boyuyoruz. Seçimden çıktığımızda arka fonda böyle bir gölge oluşuyor.

1. Adamın ceketinde de aynı gölge etkisini görmek istiyor isek aynen birinci ve ikinci şıkları adamın ceketi içinde yapıyoruz.

1. Adamın ceketinden de bir halka geçirip geri kalan bölgeyi yine ceketin rengini koyulaştırarak boyuyoruz. Aynı işlemleri üşenmeden gömlek ve kravat içinde yapabilirsiniz.

Üçüncü yol direk brush fırçası ile gölge oluşturmaktır. Bu yol epey teknik tecrübe ister. El göz ayarı ister. İşi batırabiliriz de… bir de karikatürde iyi gitmeyebilir. Daha çok illüstrasyon gibi daha ince işler için iyi olabilir.

2. Brush fırçasını seçtikten sonra hemen kullanmaya başlamıyoruz. Üstteki ayarlardan opasitesini küçültüyoruz önce. Çünkü %100 ayarı çok koyudur, kontrolü zordur. %25-%50 iyidir.

1. Bruch opasitesi kadar fırça büyüklüğü de önemli. Duruma göre bir büyüklük seçin. Önce büyük sonra küçük fırçalar ile son rötuşları yapın. Fırça büyüklüğü için sağ tıklayın, seçenekler çıkacaktır. Ben başı için koyu kırmızı bir renk, gölge için de daha koyu bir ten rengi seçtim. İşte sonuç.

I went to the dentist this morning and I definitely did not experience this 'fresh from the dentist clean feeling'. My gums were hurting, my teeth felt like they had been pulled out and my breath definitely did not feel fresh at all. What I'm wondering is, who are these people that walked out of the dentists office feeling like their mouth has been to heaven and back? I'd really like to meet them.

On the other hand. I do love my tooth brush. I don't get a 'dentist clean feeling' but my mouth does feel fresh :D.

I just came upon Christian Lessing's 'Clamping Strip'. I don't know if it can be purchased but I loved the idea of using it for the trim around a door to provide hidden storage.

برای استفاده از این براش ها مراحل زیر رو دنبال کنید:

به مسیری که فتوشاپ رو اونجا نصب کردید برید. به عنوان مثال، فتوشاپ من روی مسیر زیر نصب شده:

E:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3

پس از طی کردن مسیر نصب، وارد پوشه ی Presets شوید و بعد از آن وارد پوشه ی Brushes.

حالا این براش هایی رو که دریافت کردید رو در همین پوشه Paste کنید.

بعد از انجام مراحل بالا، برنامه ی فتوشاپ رو باز کنید و ابزار Brush Tool را انتخاب کنید و یا دکمه ی B روی کیبوردتون رو فشار بدید تا ابزار قلمو انتخاب شود!

بعد از انتخاب این ابزار، منویی در بالا ایجاد خواهد شد که در سمت چپ آن رو به روی گزینه Brush منوی بازشویی قرار داره که با باز کردنش لیست براش هایی که روی سیستمتون دارید نمایش داده میشن و شما میتونید هر کدوم رو که میخواهید انتخاب و مورد استفاده قرار بدید! اما عجله نکنید! هنوز قلموهایی رو که دریافت کردید و وارد پوشه ی براش های فتوشاپ کردید، در اون لیست در دسترس نیستند و یک کار کوچولوی دیگه مونده تا با انجامش برای همیشه این براش ها رو داشته باشید!

همین طور که این منو باز هست، روی فلِشی که در بالا و سمت راست موجود هست کلیک کنید تا یک زیرمنو باز شود و در اون، به دنبال اسم پک براش های دریافت شده بگردید و بعد از پیدا کردن، روی آن کلیک کنید! بعد از کلیک کردن روی آن، پیغامی مشاهده میشود که حاوی سه حالت هست! اگر روی Append کلیک کنید، این براش ها، به براش های موجود در لیست اضافه میشن! اگر روی Cancel کلیک کنید، براش های دریافت شده وارد لیست نمی شود و هیچ تغییری حاصل نخواهد شد! و اگر روی Ok کلیک کنید، فقط براش های دریافتی، وارد لیست میشود و براش های قبلی، از لیست براش ها پاک میشوند! البته فکر نکنید که براش های قبلی کلا پاک میشوند! نه، فقط از اون لیست پاک میشن که میتونید دوباره اون ها رو وارد کنید!

اما از این موضوع که بگذریم، در اشتراک گذاری هفته قبل یک سوالی پرسیده بودم که کسی نتونست جواب بده!

سوال این بود که:

- آیا میدونید، در سمت چپ من که دارم این عکس رو میگیرم چه مکانی قرار داره؟!

اونجا جایی نبود جز موزه ی چای، واقع در شهر لاهیجان!

As most people should know by now, a smile says a million words.

How many words does your smile say?

This topic encountered me just last night, when I was thinking about smiles and stuff. Well a smile is judged based on the appearance, and when you speak, so is your breath.

Well I have a solution to all that.
Whiter Teeth. Check.
Cleaner Teeth. Check.
Healthier Teeth. Check.
Fresher Breath. Check.

So here are some things you will need to get started:
1. Whitener Rinse
2. Mouth Wash
3. Dental Floss
4. Toothbrush
5. Toothpaste

Step One: Whitener Rinse
You might be thinking why whitening rinse, well it kills germs and whitens. Now that is convenient.
I personally use Listerine Pre-Brush Rinse. It's great because the foam forms in your mouth to tell you that it's working hard to clean your teeth. Yeah, I'm reading from the back on the bottle. Sixty seconds and on to the next step.

Step Two: Brush
After that your mouth must be all foamy, that's a sure sign to brush. Brush as you normally do, and not the sloppy way please.

Step 3: Flossing Time!
So we brushed, and here you are thinking, are we done? No we aren't kids! Time to floss all those nasty things you got stuck between your teeth, your food or whatever you ate. Take as much floss and you need to floss the whole lower jaw. Take both your index fingers and twist it around the floss and the space in between them to floss.

Remember when you floss, you pull it down between your teeth and swipe through the "V-shaped gums" for each space where teeth meet. Repeat for the upper jaw, with another piece of floss, think good hygiene guys. After you're done, dispose the floss.

Also, it's normal for a little bleeding here and there, but don't stop there. It just means you haven't flossed for a while/unhealthy gums.

Step 4: Mouthwash

If I were you guys I would use a less intense mouthwash, but with the same effects. Rinsing with mouthwash helps fight those bad guys in your teeth and gums. I use Listerine Mouthwash. Rinse for 30 seconds and DO NOT SWALLOW.

Step 5: Brush (Yet Again.)
Brush again, I do it only cause I don't like the mouthwash after feeling/taste.

Voila! Here you go, beautiful and great-smelling teeth! You don't have to do this procedure everyday, but it is recommended by moi. I go through this procedure at night every other night. If that made sense. Well good luck on your road to great teeth, and I hope that saves you money on gum and mints.

When we get back from our travels, I will reclaim my studio. Our house has been undergoing renovations and I turned my studio into a storage spot for every displaced object. By Fall, when the kids are in school again, I will be set up to paint. Drawing in brush and ink is entrancing, but I am also looking forward to painting in color with oils.

This morning I am typing on the computer at the dining table in our rental house while M. and E. write poetry and draw in their journals. A. is out playing tennis with a friend. I am grateful for this time to sit and reflect and write. Ideally, I would be alone working. But ideally, I am here with my children. The artist and the mom are having this debate. I love my kids. I love my art. I'm trying to bring some creative time into this time away. When we get back home I will hire babysitters to come so I can do some more with my art.

For oiling hardwood floors you will need the items listed below. Our quantity recommendations are based on experience of the average floor – if your wood flooring is very old and porous then increase the quantities and vice versa for dense wood types.

Stage 1 - treat the floor with the wood lye. This will soak into the wood and is left to dry overnight.

Stage 2 – Buff the woca wood floor oil (master oil, colour oil) into the floor. The floor surface should then be rubbed down with coarse patina disks to smooth the wood grain. Any excess oil needs to be removed with a cloth so that the surface is damp rather than wet with the oil. If using the white master oil you will notice that some of the white residue is removed when wiping off the excess.

Stage 3 – Wash the floor using the wood cleaner. Re-oil with maintenance oil and rub down with the medium patina disk

Stage 4 – General maintenance of your floor. The white pigments in the soap will keep the floor light. The white soap should be used regardless of which oil was originally applied.

Preparation with Wood Lye: Stage 1

Ensure your wood floor has been correctly sanded ready for the oiling process.

The Wood Lye is a solution which contains a white pigment that ensures the floor will remain light after it is finished and continues to lighten when exposed to sunlight. You can use Wood Lye on any wood type, both softwood and hardwood. There are 2 types of wood lye which will complement your floor – for softwoods such as Pine and Larch, you need to use the softwood lye. For hardwoods such as oak and exotic species the Wood lye should be used.

Empty the Lye into a bucket or container and stir thoroughly to ensure all the pigments have been fully mixed together (these often settle at the bottom of the bottle). When applying the wood lye use a blue nylon pad with the flat mop to get into tight corners. The instructions on the Woca Wood Lye state that the floor needs to be washed with Intensive Wood Cleaner before applying the Wood Lye, however this is not always required and the floor can be prepared by removing any dust with a vacuum.

1. Spread the wood lye in to the floor using blue flat mop. Apply a generous coat of aprox 7sqm per litre to the floor. Ensure the wood is evenly saturated by brushing along the grain of the wood. Leave to dry for 8 hours.
2. A further wash with intensive wood cleaner is recommended by Woca to remove any excess lye but this step is not always required as this process is also done when the floor is treated with the master oil.

The oiling process: Stage 2

Ensure all the Wood Lye has completely dried out before applying the oil.

It is advisable to wear old clothes during oiling as this process involves using plenty of oil cloths and the oil can damage your clothing. The process takes aprox 1 hour per 20sqm. Take care when using the oil as it can cause skin irritation – the use of oil resistant rubber gloves is recommended. When the cloths have been used they need to be placed in a bucket of water as the fumes can cause self-combustion.

Empty the contents of the oil into a container and stir well to ensure the white pigments are not settled at the bottom of the container.

Apply the oil using the flat mop, brush, roller or cloth. Take care around the edges of the room and apply with a small brush and cloth to ensure no oil is splashed onto skirting or adjoining floors.

Leave the oil for 20 minutes to soak into the wood. If the oil absorbs through before this time apply more oil. Buff the floor using a flat mop to ensure the oil is fully absorbed. Working along the grain of the wood, buff the surface using the green patina disk to smooth the surface. Working from the edge of the room furthest from the exit, wipe off all excess oil using clean cloths and ensure there are no patches of oil left on the floor as this will start to shine when dry. A polishing machine can be used during this process for larger areas. These can be hired from most hire shops. Leave to dry for at least 12 hours and do not walk on the floor in this time. Dispose of all the cloths by placing in a container filled with water as they can self combust / ignite.

Maintenance process: Stage 3

A final maintenance coat should be applied to ensure that the floor is completely protected – if building work is being done protect the floor with Everbuild Roll and Stroll until all work is complete – then apply the maintenance coat.

1st Maintenance Coat
The 1st maintenance coat is applied to ensure that the floor stays durable and wear resisistant. This maintenance coat should be done after all building / decorating work has been completed as it can remove any dirt / wear from work done.

Step 1 – Wet Clean and scrub
This step involves cleaning the floor with Intensive Wood Cleaner. This should be made up of 1 part cleaner and 40 parts water. Scrub the floor using the flat mop to get any dirt off the floor.

Using a dry mop head or dry cloth, wipe off all the excess water from the floor. When the cloth / mop head get saturated rinse and wring out before continuing. Check the floor for marks whilst it is still wet – any marks on the floor can be removed with the edge of a knife.

Leave the floor to dry for 1-2 hours. Some floors including oak floors may look dull now – however the sheen and colour will return when re-oiled.

Step 2 – Oil

Apply a thin coat of maintenance to the floor using a cloth and rub in well. The maintenance oil should be used sparingly. Whilst the floor is still damp, the floor should be buffed by using 2 green patina disks with the flat mop. This will smooth the surface of the wood to give a beautiful protected finish.

Wipe any excess oil from the floor after buffing. Leave the floor to dry for at least 4 hours before walking on it. If you are using a buffing machine and you want a higher sheen on the floor you can apply a second coat of maintenance oil and leave to dry for 1 – 2 hours. When the floor is tacky the excess can be buffed off.

Periodical cleaning: Stage 4

The White soap needs to be used when cleaning and maintaining your floor to keep the floor light. When the floor requires a maintenance clean complete step 3 to bring the floor back to its fully protected condition.

Mom started to read The Martyr of the Catacombs while waiting for me and Levi to get done, and she said so far she is really enjoying it. I knew she would, it was just a matter of getting her to read it. :P

Dad has started cutting down trees around the pond, so we can get in there with the backhoe and dig it out. We took down two this evening, cut them up and drug away the brush. By now, Levi, Mom, and I are expert brush draggers! :D

Mom and I put the hens in tonight, while Dad and Levi were finishing cleaning up the tree mess. We got all the little hens and big hens in the hen pen, and tonight I have Jacob in with them. He's better with the hens than Danny is, so I figured I'd try him tonight. Anyways, he got just about all the hens in the Hen House, with the exception of three: Dove, Puffy Buffy, and a little hen I think was Amy. Wow. And he was guarding the door to make sure no one got out. I wonder how he did it all by himself. LOL.
I looked inside the hen house and there were hens everywhere! The spotted ones and black hens are very particular about who is sitting beside them, and none of them appear to like the new hens. That's why I put Jacob in with them tonight, I thought maybe they'd be a little nicer with a big rooster around. :)

I saw Fei and Fuzkittie's posts about nail polishes and I wanted to join in on the fun as well!
