Picture in your minds eye a fresh bowl of fruit sitting on a table. You walk in and the room is full of the smells of that fresh fruit. MMMMM what a wonderful aroma. As we walk in our lives God has set a bowl of fruit for us to use to walk our walk and it has an aroma pleasing to Him. If any bad fruit gets in do you think God will allow it to spoil the rest? Just a thought.

"Whatever!"

Ever say that? You get so frustrated that you throw your hands up and shout "WHATEVER!"? I have and on more than one occasion I must say. Life has a tendency to throw garbage our way at times and sometimes shouting that helps and sometimes it doesn't. We must be careful as to what the whatever is pertaining to. A lot of my whatevers are directed towards a child that is nagging me about something he wants to do or wants to get or "WHATEVER!". If my life throws that garbage at me instead of whatever I will sometimes drop to my knees and ask Daddy what ever You want me to do with this Lord I will do and funny thing is I never hear Him yell "WHATEVER!". He has this amazing ability to bring things around to a logical point and end. HMM ok now I am seeing a fruit of the Spirit here. A place that is so difficult for us to get to. Dang it! It is patience isn't it? Oh wait it is self control too! WHATEVER! Wait! I can't do that here. I must seek out more fruit. Anyone want to join me in the orchard?

September 8, Taobao announced a thorough search shielding Baidu, Google and other search will not be affected. The official statement, the two sides immediately lead to the "water wars." Taobao said, a move designed to put an end to bad business fraud to manipulate search engines. Baidu and Taobao shielding Baidu will be attributed to the "worried we are about to launch competing services."
Baidu and Taobao bad, or the interests of the root causes of dispute. In fact, the only Taobao Baidu implementation of the "cripple" and on Google and other search engines will be taken "part of the block." The search engine among the most fundamental difference is: Baidu is the only one to announce the launch of C2C e-commerce search engine company.
However, Baidu's board into the market will almost certainly result in a huge variable. In the Chinese search engine market, accounting for more than 70% market share of the "giant", which holds the hands of many users of resources, coupled with the advantages of late, complete cloning Taobao's success.

‘Business As Usual' is niet langer gewenst.

Sumantra Ghoshal heeft gelijk: "There is nothing as dangerous as a bad theory" [Ghoshal 2005].

Johan Cruyff zei ooit: "Elk nadeel heb z'n voordeel".

Welke ideologie geven we studenten mee?

Bennis en O'Toole stelde "The problem is not that business schools have embraced scientific rigor but that they have forsaken other forms of knowledge." [Bennis 2005].

"Seven Years

Never forget! So many died needlessly and continue to die needlessly because of what these fools did on 9/11/2001 and we will never forget. I will not forget how for a moment this country was looking for God. Churches were filled to overflowing and we came together as one church looking for the face of God. Too bad it was so short lived. Many lost and looking souls for a moment began to look seriously at how to be saved. Now it is status quo again. What happened? Did the bad guys go away? Did these people find what they were looking for or did they figure out their church was just happy to take their wallet at the door once again? Too bad it takes a tragedy of such great proportion to get people into the Church. It is too bad that the church dropped the ball when they had all those souls in their four walls. Well we are better prepared for the next attack and it isn't if it is going to happen but when it is going to happen. Wonder if the Churches will fill up again? Only time will tell and are the Churches ready? More than likely not. Are you ready? I hope so. Am I ready? For the pain and suffering of the lost looking for answers I stay ready because it is here everyday if you just listen.

There is only two ways not to get stuck in the mud. One is don't go near the mud and that would mean you go through life doing NOTHING. Number two have a monster truck ARGH ARGH ARGH. My monster truck has four-wheel drive with a big block 454, ARGH ARGH ARGH! 6 foot tall fat boy tires with nobbies the size of footballs ARGH ARGH ARGH! My monster truck is so big it can walk on water ARGH ARGH ARGH! It can ride above the mud OH YEAH ARGH ARGH ARGH! My monster truck has a driver that nobody can beat ARGH ARGH ARGH! His name is... You guessed it Jesus Christ of Nazareth ARGH ARGH ARGH!!!!! When He sees the mud He doesn't slow down to crawl through it He floors it and makes that blower open wide to get a big gasp of air ARGH ARGH ARGH!!! You hear the sound of the horsepower just begging to get to the tires ARGH ARGH ARGH!!! You'll think it is an earthquake from the rumble of the engine in all its glory ARGH ARGH ARGH!!! When the mud hears Him coming it dries up and lays flat ARGH ARGH ARGH!!! When the mud sees us coming it jumps out of the way ARGH ARGH ARGH!!! This Monster Truck is Spiritual and can only be driven by Jesus. Oh He will let me behind the wheel but the mud doesn't yield to me. I usually come back all muddy once I get through running the coarse. But when I get home Jesus cleans me up and we go mudd'n together.

"Stuck In The Mud!"

Ever fall into a mud puddle and not able to get out? Life sometimes can make us feel that way. In these days of trials and tribulations with the world seeming to be crashing in around us we can feel as though we are stuck in the mud. I feel stuck in the mud sometimes too. Like right now with all of the garbage going on in the world today. Wanting to start a rebellion with our government to demand Christian foundations be put back in place. Takes a lot out of me. Oh well just another mountain to climb. Oh wait I can tell that mountain to take a flying leap into the ocean and it will happen. Cool. Mountain go get wet! Go to Daddy with your mud and He will clean you up and bring you comfort.

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

"How Can God Bless America?"

Come to America the home of the free the brave the homosexuals and baby killers go free and romp around all they want! Come to America where you can lie and be exonerated by the courts because you were trying to get political attention. Come to America where you can squander your wealth on material things and let the hungry go hungry. Come to America where you can get the position of a man of God and get rich while your congregation starves. Come to America where you can make thousands of dollars a night by showing your body to depraved perverted men and women. Come to America where you can climb the corporate ladder and step on the little guy on the way up and nobody cares. Come to America where the stars have become idols and the idols become public leaders. Come to America where he who dies with the most toys wins! Come to America where you go to the club to get your daily debauchery. Come to America where the schools have to have metal detectors and police at the doors to keep out violent children. Come to America where the divorce rate in the Church is the same as the un-churched. Come to America where kids have friends with benefits and think it's OK. Come to America where public schools are teaching that homosexuality is normal behavior. Come to America a place that if you don't like what you see you can have plastic surgery to make it what you want instead of what God gave you. How can God bless America? His blessings come from obedience. Do the things I have listed above sound like obedience to God? So how can God bless America? But not all people in America are this way. So you are telling me that you have never done any of those things I have listed? Is your name Jesus? You are either too young to have experienced these things and God willing you never will or you are lying. There is hope though. Jesus already paid the price for the sins of this country but this country has to turn it around. You say the Bible is just a book of stories? Read about the Israelites in the Old Testament and see what God did to them because of their disobedience. What makes us any different than them? He created us just like He created them there is not one person here that is not of His hand. The remnant of Christ in America can make the change through Christ who strengthens us. We have to come together as one voice, one nation under God, indivisible. We have to pledge our allegiance to the Lamb of God and that is how God can bless America again.

Shanghai. CHINA - While social networks have been very hot until early this year, in the past few months we saw interest growing about e-commerce from many clients. As we were deepening our research, we were in for quite a surprise.

Status of e-commerce
The first thing we noted is that it is quite difficult to compare the status of e-commerce development in different countries due to market size, Internet population, GDP and purchasing power. How can one compare properly between such diverse markets as the United States, China, Japan and South Korea?

After working on various models, we identified the share of e-commerce as part of the total retail market as a usable metric to highlight the development of e-commerce. This confirmed our intuition that South Korea is the most advanced, with 6.5 percent of all retail being e-commerce. The United States and Japan are somewhere around 4 percent, while China is still at a very early stage with 0.63 percent, but poised for explosive growth.

If Japan is not that advanced in e-commerce, it is the world leader in mobile commerce; the leading B2C player Rakuten gets 20 percent of its revenue from mobile commerce. The whole market represented over $6 billion in 2007, far ahead of any other market and even close to the entire Chinese EC market at $8 billion.

Why and how to grow a successful EC market
This was a question discussed at a recent seminar between China's Ministry of Commerce and the European Union where we contributed as invited experts. A successful e-commerce market actually develops the retail market and helps companies sell more, but more than anything is able to create jobs. Well over a million users make a living from eBay globally and there is huge potential in job creation with Taobao and other services in China.

One might then wonder how to enable e-commerce and accelerate its development. There are many reasons for e-commerce development that can be attributed to culture, purchasing habits, regulations, logistics reliability, credit card usage and GDP development, but once we completed the following graphic, we became quite convinced that the main enabler for e-commerce or mobile commerce was IT infrastructure.

Korea leads in Internet speed and in e-commerce, while Japan leads in 3G and mobile commerce, which seems in line with their IT infrastructure development. The key element aside from the presence of a sophisticated IT infrastructure seems to be the length during which said infrastructure has been around. For instance, Japan developed its fixed broadband more recently than Korea and has less experience with it, but Japan is expected to grow rapidly.

Just as governments have a responsibility in developing roads, bring electricity and water, we tend to think that building a strong IT infrastructure is the best enabler to develop the knowledge economy and retail market, and that governments should - directly by financing or indirectly by stirring up competition - support rapid IT development to enable economies to go digital.

Future trends
As a conclusion, here are some key trends in e-commerce we identified:

(1) B2C (e.g. Amazon) and C2C (e.g. eBay) models are converging. B2C is generally a guarantee of quality but not of price, while C2C offers good price, but quality and payment is generally more risky. This year, eBay's "fixed price auctions" are going to represent half of its revenues.

(2) Mobile commerce is going to happen. In fact, it is already happening in Japan because of their advanced infrastructure. Other countries will have the same happening when they will catch up, within the next few years.

(3) Social networks will blend with e-commerce. Remember the time when there was no Internet? There was also a time when there was no advertising. At that time, people mostly asked their friends about what to buy and what was good. As people become more and more disenchanted by advertising, this time is coming back and we saw the first signs of convergence in some services like Alimama and Japan's NicoNico Video.

(4) Online and offline will connect. While an increasing number of offline stores are going online, already some online stores in South Korea are opening offline shops. Some Korean and Japanese auction and e-commerce sites are using existing retail networks such as convenience stores or subway stations as delivery and pick-up points.

(5) Meta-shopping will develop. This is a new concept in Korea. If you remember Korea is the world's most advanced e-commerce market, this is worth looking into. It follows the development of numerous online shopping malls (several thousands in Korea), and provides a sophisticated-yet-easy-to-use combination of price comparison and user reviews. It has been created by Korea's largest Internet portal Naver, who call this service "Knowledge Search".

Just as China sells today more music online (PC and mobile) than offline, we think the combination of strong SNS usage and online shopping developments are able to help the country leapfrog from an offline to an online economy. Moreover, for retail success in China, China has the advantage of having very few barriers compared to other countries which have a strong offline retail legacy. So here is our advice to retailers in or coming to China: think digital!

"Staying In Love"

If you are in a relationship or married and you want to stay in love you have to do the same thing you did before you fell in love and that is be in love with Jesus first. Men you should be honored that your wife has Jesus as her First Husband because you know absolutely without a doubt that she knows how true love is. If she falls in love with Him first and learns true love you will have a woman that loves you back and that is a bonus because she is not commanded in the Bible to love you as a husband. Everything I have read is that we as men are to "LOVE" our wives as Christ loves the Church and how are you going to do that without loving Jesus first? Children, don't miss out on true love because there is none without Him. Who better to learn these things from then the one who is Love? The thing is that there can be no love without the Love. You can go through the motions of love and then love becomes just an emotion but true love is deeper then this. True love is spiritual first! The physical part of love doesn't happen until after the commitment of life partnership through Jesus Christ in marriage. I say these things and I teach these things yet no one seems to listen to them. I am sure those are the words that Jesus says all the time. Look before you leap and if it is too deep turn around and walk away before you get in over your head and you get hurt or worse yet you hurt someone else in the process. One more thing and I know I have said this before but some still need to hear it. Marriage is between ONE man and ONE woman PERIOD! How can God bless us if we keep on sinning against Him.

It has been such a long time since I've posted on this blog and I'm sorry. :-)

So I've recently become a Senior Manager of Social Media for a huge company that is a world leader in the digital storage space. I've set us up on blogs, on FriendFeed, on Del.icio.us, on Digg, on Facebook, on MySpace, on Twitter...etc...

Now then....

The evolution of connecting C2C started with creating the best social network technology or platform. Then once the best most popular platforms were established, micro blogging came out. Then we got to the point where people had an account on multiple sites social/networking/bookmarking/micro-blogging, etc. Now it seems like everyone has these standard accounts on places and we're kind of stumped at the FriendFeed level. FriendFreed is awesome, conceptually and for the most part the actual current offering but I still see the challenge existing for people who are trying to figure out how to tie all their marketing and social efforts, personal and/or business, to one easy-to-use, centralized location. FriendFeed is the closest that it has come but I don't think it's the end all.

Personally I've been using Flock for a browser at work so that I have a Firefox based browser with emphasis on Social/Feeds/Blogs and it's the best thing I can have right now for what it is I do. I guess I'm just wondering when and at what point the one and only true portal will arrive for everything that is nice, fast, easy-to-use, customizable, etc. to integrate our entire online lives so that we never have to look again. We need a Google or Microsoft of Social portals to come lay the land for this and set it in stone and continue to develop for it and improve on it.

With all the widgets and platforms and accounts and audiences and generations of 13 year olds that are essentially penetrating, and will permanently be a part of, the tech C2C audience as a lifestyle and way of humanity.....how will we consolidate and fully harness all of it for online business?

"Falling In Love"

Lot's of single people out there looking for love. I have a suggestion for you. Fall in love with Jesus first. Stop looking for love in all the wrong places. The world will reject you but your Father in Heaven will receive you. Once you find true love that only Jesus has for you then you can go out and receive what God has planned for you. Got too much time on your hands? Don't turn on that television, open your Bible and read about true love. Most women like those romance novels well I tell you that God has put together a book that blows those things away. There is always loss in those romance novels and there is always pain and tears. Well Jesus has said that He will wipe away every tear and take away every pain. The difference is that He can really do this for you in real life not just amongst the pages of a paper back book. Fall in love with the Bridegroom and be His bride. I know men have trouble with those words. Jesus loves us and we should love Him back and the way we do that is through prayer and obedience to His Word. Want to be the best lover in the world? You have to love Jesus first. His Love can never be taken from you. Let Him know how much you love Him and show Him that you are ready to be obedient and reach out for the kingdom of heaven and all the desires of your heart will be given you.

Apapun istilahnya, tiap bagian punya pekerjaan masing2.

When first launched, I assumed lytacur was positioned to be the direct competitor of curcuma plus. Unfortunately, its marketing activities were not big enough to spread the awareness, especially to make the consumer to buy the product. And this year, the noise of Lytacur in the Market is declining. This is my point of view about Lytacur opportunity.

[Picture of Lytacur is taken from Dexa Medica website]

Instead of stimuno which is the market still in development stage, the market of lytacur is already established. It reached the common needs among children to consume more food.
Children market is very attractive, since most parent likely more have attention to their children than themselves. Those concerns bring lots of opportunity to create product that is beneficial for both parent and children.

Lets go back to Lytacur discussion. Just relying on BTL activities is also not recommended. Especially when the price is not too-expensive. Creating awareness is very important, so if the budget is very limited we must choose the right method to create awareness.

Here are the 4P's approach to analyze Marketing Plan for Lytacur:

Product. It's a good product, but not innovative one unfortunately. No Exact Positioning to make it competitive. Ingredients of the product seems more complete than its competitor. So, the possible positioning for the product is "The Complete supplement for children to maintain Vitamin and increase body defense".

Price. Since the ingredient is more complete than its competitor, it can be priced little bit higher. And it's already correct. Deviation of IDR 2000 - 3000 is not significant for the market to choose the better one. But, for product challenger like Lytacur the initial price should not higher. The marketer can use it as "value for money" positioning, ex: "for the same price you get better product".

Promotion. This the most expensive activities in the marketing. So we must carefully choose the marketing channel.

TV Ads according to many researcher is no longer effective to create awareness. And that is true. But again, please wisely choose your Target Segment. Analyze their behavior, so you can choose the right communication channel. I think the target segment for lytacur is for young mothers.

Todays young mothers is no longer watch TV in the morning, at least the trend seems to be like that. But most of them, do have cellphone. Why not trying to promote using cell phone channel.

Others channel seems to be more effective is through mailing list, community of young mothers.

The point is, try to make word-of-mouth between consumers. If necessary state the brand ambassador and give them reward. That's today marketing trend.

Place. Many ways to put your product closer to the market.

The simplest way is to ensure every store nearby the target segment is product available.

Todays trend also using your ambassador as the channel distribution. As they always bring the product, they can give free sample for your prospect consumers.

School if possible will also become alternative channel through its "Koperasi Sekolah" or cafetaria.

Remember that todays marketing trend is developing the C2C marketing model. Encourage the consumers to become ambassador of your product. Since we involve the consumer in our marketing activities, many inputs can be gainned to improve out product and also marketing quality.

It's no longer about the quality of the product we can make, but how the consumers are involved in generating quality products. So it can be purely fulfill their needs right on the target.

Wednesday

PRaP 9/3/08

"SING PRAISES TO GOD!"

God is Mighty and we sing praise to His Name Above all other names. God is good and He is Great and he is always there for us. We only need to be patient and obedient to His word and He freely gives all good blessings. Have you been waiting for that next door to open? Give Him praise! Have you been waiting for Him to heal you? Give Him praise! Have you been struggling financially? Give Him praise! Is your marriage failing? Give Him praise! Do you feel stuck? Give Him praise! In ALL things give Him praise! He fills the praise of His people! He shows Himself to those who sing Him praise! What ever hardship you may be going through give Him praise! When He comes through and opens the door you better give Him praise! Down to your last penny? Give Him praise! Teen pregant? Give Him praise! Prodigal son has returned home? Give Him praise! Shout it out to the top of your lungs. GIVE HIM PRAISE! GLORY BE TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH FOR HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED ABOVE ALL THINGS! If you don't give Him praise the rocks and the trees will! Go ahead give it a try! Shout GLORY TO GOD! Come on shout it out! Don't be afraid. GLORY TO GOD! GLORY TO GOD! GLORY TO GOD! GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!

Here is a praise you can sing to God to whatever tune you want to sing it to:

1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us,

Selah

2 that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.

3 May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.

4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth.

Selah

5 May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.

6 Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us.

7 God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.
