First of all, the bidding in the Custom Auction has slowed down, with Yoshi backing out slightly and Lt. Jessie still having the last word ... or more, number: $240.

Secondly, Cyde made a response to my post yesterday in the potential new custom adoptable selling idea, as well as a response to Quagthistle's (interesting as can be expected) post. I can show you this best through a series of 3 post-quotes, which can be found in the original topic sitting among the vast sea of "no, $25 is too high ... because I'm 10 and I can't afford it" posts, as well as the occassional one that says yes.

My guesses as to how this site is coded are probably way off, I assume since you’re proposing $25 that you [contrary to my first guesses] would have to write some sort of script or code extra for each adoptable, and if my second guess is right … well, I still don’t think that’s worth $25. $15-$20, maybe, but you said no haggling so I’ll just stop here. ^__^“

The first is about *potential* plans to charge $25 and give PP users their own custom adoptables, providing they supply the art themselves.

Simply put, about 90% of people are saying it's too high, and 60% doing the old "oh noes I'm poor 'cause I'm 11" sort of thing. >_>

When tiling a tie … if the image that has been tiled is too small for your liking .. go to ” edit ” top right of design tool .. select ” select all ”

then on the top box on the design tool that has your image .. use the maximize button and all the images will increase in size simultaneously .. alternatively you can also decrease the size

To make a text template ... just write a bit of text

Such as ... Name .. number .. contact or whatever you want ... hit ok ..then hit the button with the little lines on it on the text area .. so you have the text in the right position .. left .. right or centre depending on your design

Then on the box that you wrote the text in .. double left click its title .. rename it in the pop as [name] .. [number] or whatever .. using those brackets as its those that make it into a template ..

When you have all the areas you want done that way ... left click on one of them on the card itself ... then while holding down ctrl on your keyboard .. click on each text line on the card .. you should then have a box around all the text ...

Then go to edit on the design tool ( top right ) ... select.. space selected evenly ... either horizontally or vertically

Then when thats done .. go back to edit ( while the box is still around the text on the card ) .. and hit align selected

when you go to post the card for sale .. check that it mentions each area of the template text that it needs to have

heres one of mine so you get the idea .. the customers can just fill in the boxes

Add a bit of text to the area you want others to be able to change the text on .. for example < add your name here > .... then double click the title on the box you just wrote the text in .. rename it something like [Name Here] using those brackets .. as its those that change it to a template format

To create a product with more then one text area you want to have as a template ... create each in its own separate text box .. and make each of those into separate templates by using the process above

A field FULL of transmissions. Man, it's a veritable shitload of transmissions. Is this collection still growing? Is this a mounting problem?

Perhaps this guy's just really in synch with his collection... or maybe he blew a gasket, but that's just my input. Seems to be an almost sealed case... But, if his family banded together, mounted an effort, and pumped some energy behind it, perhaps their pressure would result in a clutch situation, and things would run smoothly, almost fluid, if you will...

I mean, what his yard needs is something more than a quick pickup... any dipstick can see that. Unloading that collection would really get his financial wheels in motion, and convert his neighbors to happy campers, versus being so tourqued-off, and switching their pitch to a more pleasant output... before someone throttles him, or chokes him with a length of cable, and winds up in the joint. I know it has me geared up.

I was going to remain neutral about this guy's crop of transmissions, and not get on his case, but after seeing the video again, and all of those cores parked there, I'm reversing my position. I can't imagine his neighbors adapting to the situation... they're probably thinking "Hey Jack, we're not taking this anymore. We've put our cause into overdrive, and calling the housing committee... so don't get all shifty with us. Property values are slipping! We shudder to think of where they'll be in a year!" Foaming at the mouth, they'll drive him out of the community before things get too low, I'd imagine.... just a matter of pushing his buttons, and getting the county to seal his fate. They'll have to hire a toploader to get those things over to the rock crusher, and that'll be a lot of manual labor.

There are loads of sites out there offering custom made umbrellas printed with your business logo. This is probably the swankiest one I've encountered. Check out the 'umbrella builder' and tell me you're not tempted.

Having said that, these people seem to pip them to the post for fun. I'm even going to give them a try myself and I'll let you know how it goes.
