Not only does no one care about people seeing them in bathing suits, they also do not care if they are in your way. I've had to go around people on my walks so many times that it annoys me to no end. I guess it's because I seem to be walking with a purpose and everyone else is just soaking up the lack of their purpose. I can't blame them, I'm probably the same way on vacation.

I've been incredibly lethargic (apathetic? something along those lines) about unpacking. Probably because I've been mourning the loss of the things I had to leave behind because there was no room...like my Seinfeld - The Complete Series and Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Complete Seasons 1-6 (a tragedy in itself. I had people scaveging through my trash looking for them but they had already been taken. UGH. so pissed at myself for that one). On top of that I had to throw out my coffee maker. But there is a good thing...at a flea market about 3 weeks ago I happened to pick up an espresso maker. My BFF, Jackie, gave me some Snickerdoodle coffee from our favorite coffee place in Pittsburgh, Nicholas. So now I am drinking Snickerdoodle espresso (mostly because I couldn't figure out the cappucino function). Hopefully that will motivate me a bit...since I'll be up till 4am.

For my beloved Antwan: no I have not noticed any Perkins around, just Cracker Barrels. And yes, read the book just for the minimalist mindset and figuring out how to automate your life. Don't believe the Amazon reviews, it's a freaking awesome book...so awesome that I actually bought it after getting it from the library.

Last evening I was going stir-crazy. Not having a car while one's without a muffler and the other's in the body shop is awful when you have an infant and a toddler, and a bus or bike's out of the question. Drove through Fort Calhoun and saw kids hanging out at the ice cream stand, saw the high school football field (imagined friday night lights in the fall) and spotted a little league game in progress. It was after weaving through the town streets to watch the game for a minute that Michael confessed he'd love to live in the country someday - not way out in the sticks, but half an hour from the city wouldn't be that bad, would it?

Though there is something to say about being able to stretch your legs and your mind in the wide-open air. Extend your arms without bumping anyone's elbows. Let the kids explore the great outdoors on a daily basis. Being a little closer to 'nature'. Having a little homestead. Maybe that's the pioneer in me. Seeing four deer on our way home and the thrill Reese got as she craned her neck to watch them disappear into the corn had me almost convinced. That and driving up by north River Road. Love that spot.

I love looking through this group, because there are so many talented, beautiful people doing it. In this particular group, no esoteric interpretations of "self-portrait" are allowed. The photo must include at least part of your body and also be taken by you. I love the fact that it's that limited. I've really enjoyed seeing the hundreds and hundreds of different ideas people come up with.

Of course, it works best when the photographer happens to be beautiful, heh. I'm tempted to force myself to try this, but I think it would really bother me, eventually. I don't really enjoy the way I look. Part of me thinks that doing this would be therapuetic. The rest of me thinks it would just be torture.

I don't have a remote for the current camera. I just ordered one on ebay. Dunno if that means anything.

Nu heb ik al weer een tijdje de kriebels om een paardenspel te maken maar toch deed ik deed steeds niet omdat ik bang was dat ik weer geen zin had en um dan weer weggooide. Nu heb ik nog een spel van vroeger die ik niet wilde weg doen omdat ik het zonde vond, dus besloot ik vandaag deze maar helemaal opnieuw op te starten en nieuw leven in te blazen dus dat heb ik gedaan! Verder eigenlijk niet zo veel een beetje rond gesurft over sites ect.

Verder zit ik vandaag verplicht aan de zevenup, omdat al het drinken wat ik normaal drink op is. Paps is ziek en we hebben dus geen boodschappen meer de laaste tijd gedaan. En als ik vraag of ik het moet doen dan wordt het meestal afgekapt. Maar goed het gaat gelukkig al weer stukken beter met paps dus ik hoop dat we maandag wel even weer boodschappen gaan doen!
