Wants rather difficult for me to hold the microphone, I'm doing so in order to continue posting. While I wait for my headset microphone to arrive. Once it does, I'll have to recalibrate my speaking program, so that it will be more in line with the headset microphone. But once that is done, the accuracy of my speech, and my dictation from my speech program will be greatly improved.

That being said, because it is somewhat difficult for me to hold my microphone right now, and because this is a standup microphone, it makes holding up a little bit more difficult for me to use it. So I'm sort of taking a break, while I wait for my headset to arrive. As I said it should come in the next couple of days.

However, I was able to post some articles today that I believe are important for us all to think about considering Microsoft Windows Vista, and the affected Vista is having, negatively, on the users around the world. Additionally, I did list the various aspects that I have ascertained, initially, regarding the problems I've encountered mostly with Windows Vista. If Microsoft is really concerned about doing a good job for the user, and not simply trying to cater to the technical people of the computer world, then they will in fact, listened to what I'm talking about and actually do something to fix some of the problems that our existing with the current software, i.e. Windows Vista.

by David Farside
The more we see of Sen. Barack Obama the more he seems to resemble George W. Bush.

by David Farside

The more we see of Sen. Barack Obama the more he seems to resemble George W. Bush. A good example is his campaigns Carl Rove strategy of soliciting the support of the extreme right evangelicals.

The presidential candidate for the Democrats held a closed-door meeting in a friend’s law office in downtown Chicago with about 30 Christian evangelicals. In typical Bush style, Obama insisted the discussions be kept secret and remain off the record. He tried unsuccessfully to prevent anyone from making statements to the press. That didn’t work and slowly the word got out. Sounds like a Republican tactic to me.

Obama’s campaign concealed the names of the attending preachers at the June 10 meeting from the press, but interviews with some of the participants gives us a good idea of what went on in secret.

One of the ministers attending the meeting was African-American Kirbvjon Caldwell. Caldwell presides over the largest Methodist congregation in Houston-based Windsor Village. He was a former bond dealer before he saw the economic light of opportunities in preaching the Word of God. He has always been at the forefront of black supporters for Bush. He introduced bush at the 2000 Republican National Convention, gave the benedictions for Bush’s 2001 and 2006 inaugurations and guided Bush's daughter Jenna through her wedding vows. In return for Caldwell’s support Bush has given his missions large federal faith-based grants.

Another unnamed minister, comparing Obama to McCain, questioned the lack of political commitment of Sen. John McCain. He reminded Obama that McCain was a divorced man demonstrating his lack of religious commitment. He said McCain swore on the senate floor and that he seemed to be uncomfortable with public expression of his faith. Steven strange, a right wing Pentecostal noted the comment “ seemed to be saying that if Christians can support a flawed candidate like john McCain, the implication was, why couldn't they support a candidate with flawed policies like Obama? Sounds like Obama might just steal away the republican Christian base.

According to warren smith, editor of the “Evangelical Press News Service” that will never happen. He said “ McCain won‘t have any trouble convincing evangelicals he‘s on their side.” He said “The only reason they’re holding back their support is to see how much they can get out of him.” Typical politics. Support the highest bidder regardless of their moral principles.

And maybe he is right. In a Washington Post/ABC poll taken among white evangelicals in June. McCain had a 68 to 22 percent advantage over Obama.

The attendance of Steven Strang at the meeting really should be an indication the Christian right is jumping off Bush’s political ship sent by God.

Strang is a multimillionaire. He publishes an evangelical magazine “charisma” and signed on to the world evangelical alliance. Their goal is to convert all Jews and everyone else to Christianity. However, unlike bush’s republican method of conversion by force, they preach conversion by persuasion.

Time magazine labeled Strang as one of the twenty-five most influential evangelicals in America. Strang has been a bush favorite ever since he published “The Faith of George W. Bush” in 2003. Stang said “We didn’t write it to help Bush, but it no doubt helped elect him.”

Strang is also close to pastor John Hagee. Hagee endorsed McCain and McCain accepted the endorsement. But after criticism from the Democrats he later rejected Hageee's support. The democrats jumped on McCain and noted that Hagee said the Catholic Church conspired with Nazis against the Jews and that hurricane Katrina was God’s retribution for homosexual sin. Hagee has also made demeaning remarks about owning slaves and women's rights.

After the meeting, Obama pledged to expand bush’s faith-based initiatives and form the council for faith-based and neighborhood partnerships. These partnerships would be a conduit for federal funds from the paychecks of the taxpayer to the golden pockets of the ministries with their own political agenda.

Obama said federal dollars that go directly to churches, temples and mosques can only be used on secular programs. And the money will only go to those programs that actually work. If that’s the case, why not just give the money directly to the secular projects that work?

It all sounds like the George W. Bush strategy of trading federal grant money for the evangelical votes. But why shouldn’t Obama follow in George's footsteps? The God Squad worked for bush. I’m sure it will work for Obama.

What this basically says to me, rather infers, is that due to the tremendous amount of global melting of ice, the water mixture in the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean is changing so dramatically, that certain types of sea life are forming abnormally. So while on the one hand, were looking at a buildup of coral reefs, which may in fact, in itself be a good thing; on the other hand, we are looking at the potentiality that global warming is caused so much polar melting of ice, that it is upsetting the ecosystem of the oceans. So, at this juncture, I would be rather hesitant to jump on either side of the fence, as to how this condition relates to the overall global warming makeup. At this time. However I would say that it is something that bears watching.

Some asinine opinions should never see the light of day.

Consider Jonah Goldberg's recent criticism of Obama.

Goldberg, the author of such timeless gems as Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning, nonchalantly compared Obama's call for greater volunteerism to slavery. That's right slavery. The very kind of slavery the 13th Amendment abolished. The kind of slavery that was responsible for the lynching, killing, raping and out right terrorizing an untold number of black folk, and led to America's four year long civil war.

Why would Goldberg make such an offensive comparison? The answer lies in his suspicion of government doing anything to encourage people to enhance the public good. Even tying federal dollars for college aid to more volunteerism sounds like forced labor to him.

"If you don't make the kids report for duty, [Obama's] essentially telling schools and college kids, you'll lose money you can't afford to lose. In short, he'll make service compulsory by merely compelling schools to make it compulsory," Goldberg exhorted in his LA Times column.

Obama, so the argument runs, and by extension the liberal left are shamelessly exploiting the use of President John F. Kennedy's great maxim, "Ask not what...," to justify an "all-purpose writ for social meddling." And of course as a consequence of such meddling all of us will experience some loss of freedom the U.S. Constitution is designed to protect. Therefore, the conservative writer maintained that Obama's plan was running "afoul of the constitutional amendment that abolished slavery."

Goldberg maintains this mindless yet provocative chatter only to flip flop less than 500 words later. But then Goldberg flip flops less than 500 words later. "No, national service isn't slavery. But it contributes to a slave mentality, [and is] at odds with American tradition."

Well, that certainly clears things up. Never mind that public service has bonded and functioned as the well spring of patriotism for many Americans at both low and high points in our history from the dawn of the republic to the modern day. In the framers era, everything from libraries to fire departments were started by volunteers. Such public goods are now a source of pride for many Americans.

And even as the government and many of our elected officials continue to ignore the Gulf Coast region, volunteers continue to flock to the Gulf Coast region to help those in need.

Goldberg and other pundits have noted that besides the sharp increase in the wake of 9/11, American volunteerism has remained steady the past few years, which implies that Obama's call for more public service is unnecessary at best and politically cynical at worst.

But Goldberg is so taken by his own snark that he woefully misrepresents Obama's position and hence misses the point entirely.

Obama does not make national service compulsory, he merely provides incentives for others to get involved. Those who volunteered 50 hours a year in high school or 100 hours while in college students would receive a tax credit of $4,000 a year. The presumptive Democratic nominee has also proposed expanding the ranks of the AmeriCorps, Youth Build, and USA Freedom Corps in addition to growing the Foreign Service and Energy Corps to promote environmental clean ups. He also wants to create programs that would enlist veterans to help other veterans coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan adjust to everyday life.

Its not clear to me how working for a limited time in any of these capacities can be equated with lifelong captivity and oppression of any kind.

Perhaps it is true that rates of volunteerism have not declined in recent years. But thats no reason to refrain from encouraging more of it. And maybe the country could get by at the rates that under the Clinton years, but the nation has to cope with added strain from two wars, a crumbling economy, an educational crisis, and an bungled disastrous relief effort in the Gulf Coast area.

Additionally, there is a reason why Obama has made his pitch to young people. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, people aged 35 to 54 volunteer far more often (30.3 percent) than those in early twenties (17.7 percent) and an appreciable decline has taken place among teens.

Volunteerism can also have a significant shift in perspective for many people, including on those fiercely skeptical of government power.

Micheal Lindsay at the Pew Forum on Faith in Public Life found that there has been a dramatic reversal among many evangelicals regarding support for foreign aid and much of it is due to volunteerism. A few decades ago, many evangelicals considered foreign aid a waste of resources and an excuse for meddling in the affairs of other countries. But today they are apart of a growing collection of activists working to end the genocide in Darfur, advocating for the reduction of global poverty reduction, eliminating the spread of HIV and AIDS, and becoming increasingly supportive of U.S. State Department and USAID.

Part of this sea change in opinion among evangelical Christians, despite being stereotyped as provincial and nativist, can be attributed to engaging in foreign missions abroad only to discover that as fulfilling as their work can is a lot much more can be done by coordinating and properly resourcing American instruments of foreign aid.

So instead of criticizing Obama or McCain for supporting greater volunteerism among the American people, even if it were for naked political reasons, members of the media should consider the impact such plans could have in changing and repairing our nation. Its also a welcome contrast from George W. Bush, who after the Sept 11th attacks, merely implored us to go shopping, and recently cited giving up golf as one the activities he has forgone to acknowledge the sacrifice of the soldiers and their families.

But maybe that's just my slave mentality at work.

It doesn't happen often, actually very rarely in my life has this ever happened. But there were a few people whose responses this morning actually brought tears to my eyes. I never feel like my copy is really that good. Having been a writer for over 40 years, and having published my first short story when I was in kindergarten at school at Fairfax school in Cleveland, Ohio, and then having subsequently written a couple of books along the way as well; I normally don't think my copy is very good. I know in my heart when I write good copy, that is probably what I wanted to write. Words to me, I like notes in music to musicians. Before my hands were not able to work very well, I used to play the keys like musicians played their keyboards. And as they would combine the notes into music. It would bring out the depths of their soul, I would play the keys of my keyboard in order to string the words and concepts together that would portray the music that was a within my own soul. And as a result, I would generate the various pieces of copy to my life. As I would try to continually advocate for human rights.

That being said, today there were a few responses to my posts that did actually bring me to tears. It is very rare that people step up to me and pay me any kind of kindness, let alone actually express any form of validation for my attempts as a human rights advocate, or just another human being on this huge planet that we call Earth. However, there were a few people today who responded to me. And they really did succeed in touching my heart so deeply, well all I can say is this. To a very old soul. You truly made me smile so much today. Thank you much for that.

It's not that I don't believe my copy is any good. I know when my copy is good. But I am never quite sure if I'm good enough for my copy. I suppose that part of this is as a result of my own mental illness. And perhaps another part comes as a result of my mother being so abusive to me. And yet perhaps another part comes from people in the world, never really taking my intelligence, or my determination as a human rights advocate, as seriously as I always took it myself. In any event, I know these people are probably younger than I am. And for the few who have come forward to say such nice things to me, it does illustrate to me and to my soul, that I am being heard. And furthermore, that the agreement I'm made with God so many years ago in 1968, very well may have not been for nothing.

I will answer all of your comments to me absolutely. Like I said before, I don't know, hardly anybody in the world. And yet when I sit here and write to you, I literally feel that we are sitting in the same room having a cup of coffee, or perhaps a cup of tea. And we are exchanging conversations, and we are exchanging thoughts and ideas and emotions and all the creativity that makes up the very core of life itself. And so no matter where you are, what country you're in, I always feel the same when I'm talking to you in my journal. I always feel like wearing the same room. I'm never able to see your faces, but I'm always able to see your souls. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe it's because when I died that time in 1968, God decided to give me a little bit of extra sight. So then the matter what I would be able to always be able to recognize those who I would encounter along my journey.

You know, one of my favorite movies is 84 Charing Cross Road. The reason I like this, is because Anne Bancroft, in the film, which raise a writer. What actually she's a proofreader. But I am a writer. And in this film, she has this long distance relationship with this wonderful little bookshop in England. Anne is in the United States, in New York. And she is living in an old rundown apartment building. And yet throughout the entire movie, while her apartment building is torn down and she moves to a brand-new building. And while the war goes on, and all sorts of things happen. Things happen to her. And things happen to the brilliant people at 84 Charing Cross Road. And yet through it all, they become more than simply associates here on earth. They become friends. If the best we can do in our world is to generate so much hatred and contempt, than we have done nothing. And we have learned nothing. All my life being adopted, after having been born an orphan, I always grew up knowing in my heart that regardless of what anyone said to me. I was, no matter what, a child of God.

Thank you. For those of you who are paying me the respect you are. For those of you who are paying me the attention you are. You are giving me a gift that is so far beyond any amount of money that the world could ever realize. My dad once told me a long time ago when I first became partners with him in our family business, when I was just seven years old. Actually, he told me lots of things. But one thing that is pertinent here, is, he said:

Mickey, and life people will pay you money for the service that you do in the work that you perform. And he said that money will in fact help you to keep going. He said, but it is. The other things that they will give you that will truly sustain you. As I've always said, I have an unbelievably strong and powerful brain. But my brains never really got me anything in my world where this world or my life. The only thing that my brains got me where contracts, and jobs, and contractual assignments. It was my heart, and my love of my fellow man, that I have to this very second, that truly got me the most valuable things in my life. There was a time during Stalin's regime. So many people were being killed, and marked as enemies of the state, but the value of money, and Russia, for a period of time, was fluctuating so dramatically, that the phrase, what price on Rubles now, was taken on as part of an idiomatic expression, regarding how money was changing all the time, and the value of money was changing all the time, because the value of how much Stalin was going to pay for people to be turned over as enemies to the state, that many of the people began to wonder exactly how much a ruble was worth anymore. When such kindness is granted to me by other people, that phrase. Remarkably, stands fast inside of my mind. What price on Rubles now? For how do you express gratitude to someone when you're a small piece of sand on a very large and lonely beach, when that someone instead of walking by, you, looks down and not only stops, but actually sits down, and takes notice of you. What price on Rubles now?

Every three or four seconds, another child is being killed. Every 20 seconds the United States another woman is being murdered. Every 15 minutes in the United States another person become so desperate that they can do nothing else except to exterminate their life. So every few seconds, as a result of our own self-contempt in our own hatred that we spread among ourselves, we're losing brilliant aspects of our culture around the world, every few seconds. I am deeply honored, by the kindness that people have shown in my life. As a result of my own mental illness, I will be the first to admit that I oftentimes don't feel that I'm deserving of such kindness. However, when this kind of generosity and kindness is extended to me, while gratitude is a part of what I feel, the most prominent feeling inside of me, is one of being honored, to be allowed to feel such kindness from other people.

Thank you so much... from my heart to yours... thank you so very much...

Happy trails... Godspeed... pay it forward...

Since the FISA bill is up for a vote today and many Americans are disappointed in this bill, I thoug

Since the FISA bill is up for a vote today and many Americans are disappointed in this bill, I thought it may be a good time to post Barack Obama's plan for Homeland Security. Yes, I do agree, this FISA bill is catering to the boy Bush. There is one thing that this bill does not include, it DOES NOT give immunity to prosecution for criminal charges so it may protect the phone companies financially but it doesn't protect them from going to jail.

Yesterday, Senator Arlen Specter questioned the efficacy of the bill since a judge had already ruled on spying on Americans without court oversight so even if this bill is passed, it may still end up being challenged in court at some later date. Hopefully by then, Barack Obama will be President with a strong Democratic majority in Congress.

From Barack Obama's website on the issues:

The first responsibility of any president is to protect the American people. Yet, more than five years after the 9/11 attacks, our country is still unprepared. The 9/11 Commission gave the government five Fs and 12 Ds on the implementation of its homeland security recommendations. As president, Barack Obama will take every step to make our homeland more secure. He will implement the 9/11 Commission recommendations and ensure that the nation is prepared to prevent and respond to catastrophe. An Obama administration will provide the nation's first responders with the equipment, training, and support they need; invest in the resources necessary to improve our emergency preparedness and planning; allocate our homeland security dollars according to risk; increase the security of our transit systems, rail lines, and ports; and secure our chemical and nuclear plants, and other critical infrastructure.

BOLSTER EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS:

Allocate Funds Based on Risk: Barack Obama believes that the president and Congress should direct our precious homeland security dollars according to risk, not as a form of general revenue sharing. These dollars help states and localities prepare for disaster and fund first responder needs. To address this pressing issue, Obama introduced an amendment on the Senate floor to increase risk-based funding in the 9/11 bill. Obama's amendment was supported by the Families of 9/11 and former 9/11 Commissioners Lee Hamilton and Tim Roemer.
Prepare Effective Emergency Response Plans: As our nation witnessed in the Hurricane Katrina crisis and its aftermath, too many localities do not have integrated emergency response plans to handle disasters. As an Illinois state legislator, Barack Obama passed legislation to improve Illinois' disaster preparedness for terrorism and public health crises. Obama took his firsthand knowledge of state and local disaster planning to Washington where he has worked to provide greater federal tools and guidance to those responding to emergencies on the ground. Obama passed legislation to require mandatory planning for evacuating individuals with special needs from emergency zones and to create a National Family Locator System to help families locate loved ones after a disaster. As president, Obama will further improve coordination between all levels of government, create better evacuation plan guidelines, ensure prompt federal assistance to emergency zones, and increase medical surge capacity.
Support First Responders: During emergencies our nation's first responders -- police, firefighters, and emergency medical professionals -- come to the rescue. They deserve the tools necessary to get the job done safely and quickly. Unfortunately, over the past few years the Bush Administration has repeatedly attempted to significantly reduce support for our nation's first responders. Barack Obama has consistently fought attempts to undercut the base of our homeland security system. Obama is committed not only to rolling back the funding cuts that have affected first responders, but also to increasing federal resources and logistic support to local emergency planning efforts.
Improve Interoperable Communications Systems: Our nation lost precious time during the 9/11 attacks and Hurricane Katrina because of the lack of a 21st-century communications network for first responders, local governments, and federal agencies. In January 2007, the Department of Homeland Security gave only six of 75 metropolitan areas high grades for emergency communications. These systems must enable communications across city, county, and state lines and there must be a system by which the Federal government communicates with local entities. Barack Obama supports efforts to provide greater technical assistance to local and state first responders and dramatically increase funding for reliable, interoperable communications systems. He also supports a more rapid turnover of broadcast spectrum to first responders.

PROTECT CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE:
Create a Real National Infrastructure Protection Plan: The federal government's National Asset Database, which is supposed to guide homeland security priorities, lists 77,069 potential U.S. targets including petting zoos and popcorn factories. Experts say this database is relatively useless for any level of homeland security planning. Barack Obama's Department of Homeland Security will develop a meaningful critical infrastructure protection plan across the nation and will work with the private sector to ensure that all real targets are prepared for disasters both natural and man-made.
Secure our Chemical Plants: Chemical plants are potential terrorist targets because they are often located near cities, are relatively easy to attack, and contain multi-ton quantities of hazardous chemicals. While a number of plants have taken steps to improve security, there are still major gaps, and the federal government has never established meaningful, permanent security regulations. Barack Obama worked with Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) to introduce the Chemical Security and Safety Act that would establish a clear set of federal regulations that all plants must follow. The bill requires chemical facilities to enhance security, including improving barriers, containment, mitigation, and safety training, and, where possible, using safer technology, such as less toxic chemicals.
Ensure Safe and Secure Disposal of Nuclear Waste: Within the past five years, three nuclear power plants have reported missing spent fuel. The federal government must not only implement regulations and guidelines to account for all dangerous nuclear waste, but also ensure that nuclear power plants and waste facilities have the resources to keep terrorists from obtaining potential weapons. Barack Obama introduced the Spent Nuclear Fuel Tracking and Accountability Act in 2005 to create specific and uniform guidelines to track and control individual spent fuel rods or segments. Obama's proposals passed the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee in June 2005.
Improve Airline Security: Between October 2005 and January 2006, Government Accountability Office investigators were able to smuggle bomb components past federal screeners at all 21 airports they targeted. As a member of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, Barack Obama believes we must redouble our efforts to determine if the measures implemented after 9/11 are adequately addressing the threats our nation continues to face from airplane-based terrorism. Obama has supported increased numbers of federal airport screeners and improved funding for aviation security. Airline passengers are still not screened against a comprehensive terrorist watch list. Such a list must be developed and used in a way that safeguards passengers' privacy while ensuring the safety of air travel.
Monitor our Ports: Despite the 9/11 Commission's strong recommendation that the government significantly improve port security, the Bush Administration underfunded security at the nation's ports by more than $1 billion for fiscal year 2005. Barack Obama has been a consistent supporter of strengthening our port security, and has voted for efforts to mandate screening of all inbound cargo to the U.S., improve scanning of cargo at foreign ports, and promote greater sharing of shipping data across nations.
Safeguard Public Transportation: Every weekday, Americans take 34 million trips on public transportation systems to get to work, school and beyond. Even though recent attacks have happened on public transit in Madrid, Mumbai, and London, the Bush Administration has invested only a small fraction of the $6 billion that transportation officials have said is necessary to implement needed security improvements. Barack Obama believes that this critical hole in our homeland security network must be addressed. He will fight for greater information sharing between national intelligence agents and local officials and provide local law enforcement agencies with the everyday tools they need to protect their transportation systems. As a U.S. Senator representing Chicago, IL, one of the nation's major rail transportation hubs, Obama has consistently advocated stronger rail and transit security programs.
Protect Local Water Supplies: There are almost 170,000 public water systems in the United States. An attack on a drinking water system could contaminate or disrupt water service, impacting human health and compromising critical activities such as fire protection. Barack Obama introduced legislation, which passed the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, to provide $37.5 million over five years to upgrade the monitoring and security efforts of drinking water systems. The bill also directs the Environmental Protection Agency and the Centers for Disease Control to develop the tools for drinking water systems to detect and respond to biological, chemical, and radiological contamination.
Improve Border Security: Americans know that our national border security system is broken, leaving our country vulnerable. Barack Obama has been a consistent advocate of strengthening our borders and has voted to transfer $367.6 million to add an additional 1,000 border agents to our nation's most vulnerable areas as well as increase funding overall for border protection efforts. Obama also believes that border security extends beyond our land borders and that increased federal attention must be paid to those who enter our borders by water and air. Obama supports comprehensive immigration reform to ensure that we truly find a solution to this critical issue.

IMPROVE INTELLIGENCE CAPACITY AND PROTECT CIVIL LIBERTIES:
Improve Information Sharing and Analysis: The attacks of September 11th demonstrated the critical importance of information sharing. While some progress has been made, we are still not good enough at "connecting the dots." State and local emergency officials represent more than 95 percent of America's counterterrorism capability, but they too often do not get actionable intelligence from federal sources. Barack Obama will improve our intelligence system by creating a senior position to coordinate domestic intelligence gathering; establishing a grant program to support thousands more state and local level intelligence analysts and increasing our capacity to share intelligence across all levels of government.
Revise the PATRIOT Act: Barack Obama believes that we must provide law enforcement the tools it needs to investigate, disrupt, and capture terrorists, but he also believes we need real oversight to avoid jeopardizing the rights and ideals of all Americans. There is no reason we cannot fight terrorism while maintaining our civil liberties. Unfortunately, the current administration has abused the powers given to it by the USA PATRIOT Act. A March 2007 Justice Department audit found the FBI improperly and, in some cases, illegally used the PATRIOT Act to secretly obtain personal information about American citizens. As president, Barack Obama would revisit the PATRIOT Act to ensure that there is real and robust oversight of tools like National Security Letters, sneak-and-peek searches, and the use of the material witness provision.
Strengthen Warrantless Wiretap Approval Process: Barack Obama opposed the Bush Administration's initial policy on warrantless wiretaps because it crossed the line between protecting our national security and eroding the civil liberties of American citizens. As president, Obama would update the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to provide greater oversight and accountability to the congressional Intelligence Committees to prevent future threats to the rule of law.
Restore Habeas Corpus: The right of habeas corpus allows prisoners to ask a court to determine whether they are being lawfully imprisoned. Recently, this right has been denied to those deemed enemy combatants. Barack Obama strongly supports the bipartisan efforts to restore habeas rights. He firmly believes that those who pose a danger to this country should be swiftly tried and brought to justice, but those who do not should have sufficient due process to ensure that we are not wrongfully denying them their liberty.

So regardless of the outcome of today's FISA vote, the bill can always be changed. None of these bills that were designed and supported by the Republicans and the go along Democrats are set in stone. Is this why the boy Bush purchased land in Paraguay? Will the boy Bush be taking the first available flight out of the USA on January 20, 2009?

I never trust a person who doesn't love animals. Unless they were attacked as a child, or beaten with dead animal carcasses, or something similarly traumatic, there really is something deeply wrong with them. A new poll by "the-news-service-that-shall-not-be-named" and Yahoo News lends new political perspective to that belief.

According to the poll of 1,759 adults, pet owners prefer John McCain over Obama 42 to 37 percent. Dog owners prefer McCain by nine points, cat owners prefer him by three.

Conversely, the heartless, animal-hating minority of rat-bastards that don't care enough about anyone but themselves to own a pet prefer Obama by 48 to 34 percent.

As far as the candidates go, the McCain family has an English Springer Spaniel named Sam, a mutt named Coco, turtles Cuff and Link, a black and white short-hair named Oreo, one ferret, three parakeets and a bunch of saltwater fish.

The Obama family has no pets, but Barack has promised his daughters a dog, "after the election."

Looks like my instincts were right.

Whatever happened to the left's mantra that, "dissent is the ultimate form of patriotism?" Mind you, it was an asinine mantra to begin with; nevertheless, it was theirs.

But the deranged left is out to prove once again, that in their world, dissent is a one way street:

First the rabid Democrat base tossed him out of the party entirely, now, despite being re-elected by the overwhelming majority of his state, nutroots are demanding he be stripped of his committee chairmanship. It's a tiny tent on the left indeed.

Ironically, this group calls itself "Brave New Films." The scary Aldous Huxley reference aside, I would say real bravery is not a faceless online petition, to quote Albus Dumbledore, "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends."

Joe Lieberman is doing both.

Here's the scenario ladies and gentlemen, failure to address the health care issues, and to continue to allow the white supremacist fundamentalist Christian Republicans to destroy the health care in this country, will result in some very serious problems such as plague. You'll have hundreds of people who are seniors and people who are not able to afford healthcare dying in their homes and dying in their apartments because they're not able to get adequate health care. And that will then of course spread disease throughout the entire country and dad of course can't spell out plague. And of course, if that's what the white fundamentalist Christian Republicans want. And they're doing a good job of mass murdering anybody who's not as good as they are because they're denying everybody in this country healthcare because they are so stupid and selfish they want to make sure they get all the health care they get what they don't want to give anyone else the same.

And this falls directly in line with the white supremacist Christian fundamentalists who are desperate to commit mass murder of Jews and Muslims and anyone else is not a Christian fundamentalists in the United States and around the world. If the Christians really want to show how concerned they are with supporting the Constitution as a document that protects the freedom of all Americans, not just Christians, then they need to get behind this action that is going to give health care to everyone and not just Christians and not just the rich Republicans. Failure to do that of course will be the result that will have a number of people dying in the streets dying in the alleys dying in their homes, and that of course will spread so much disease and contagion that the end result, or at least one of the and results will be plague.

So it's up to you, either you will smarten up and realize that it is in your best interest in the best interest of this country to continue as a viable country of human beings, or be reduced by plague as a result of your arrogant attitude to refuse to give health care to the people that desperately need it. As I said before, it's all a matter of choices.

End of line...

Robert Parry, Consortiumnews.com, July 8, 2008

A popular Washington saying holds that “politics is about the future, not the past.” Regrettably, that often translates into sweeping serious wrongdoing under the rug in the name of “looking to the future” – a mistake the Democrats appear poised to make again in approving a new wiretapping law.

What infuriates the Democratic “base” and many other Americans about this “compromise” bill is not only that it grants the President powers beyond the narrow technological fixes that were initially cited, but that it sanctions a cover-up of George W. Bush’s past abuses of power.

If the Democratic leaders push through this legislation, with retroactive immunity for the telecommunications companies that aided Bush’s warrantless wiretaps, the one remaining door for discovering the truth about Bush’s program may be slammed shut for good.

Current lawsuits against the telecoms hold out some hope for determining whether the wiretaps were narrowly targeted against genuine foreign terrorist threats, as Bush insists, or involved broad data sweeps against Americans, as some have reported.

Because Bush has wrapped the program in layers of secrecy – and permitted only limited congressional oversight – the House-passed wiretap bill would leave the American people with no way of knowing for sure what happened.

The Democratic leadership – now joined by Sen. Barack Obama – seems more spooked about the risk of getting blamed for another terrorist attack than in finding the truth and protecting the people’s constitutional rights against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Senator Obama seems to be buying into the false dichotomy of “Obama or McCain,” lurching

Senator Obama seems to be buying into the false dichotomy of "Obama or McCain," lurching to the right with abandon, believing his ardent, if upset, angered and disillusioned supporters will still come out the polls and pull the lever for him. Bob Herbert, at the New York Times sums up the buyers remorse emerging within Obama's rank and file:

Only an idiot would think or hope that a politician going through the crucible of a presidential campaign could hold fast to every position, steer clear of the stumbling blocks of nuance and never make a mistake. But Barack Obama went out of his way to create the impression that he was a new kind of political leader — more honest, less cynical and less relentlessly calculating than most.

You would be able to listen to him without worrying about what the meaning of “is” is.

This is why so many of Senator Obama’s strongest supporters are uneasy, upset, dismayed and even angry at the candidate who is now emerging in the bright light of summer.

One issue or another might not have made much difference. Tacking toward the center in a general election is as common as kissing babies in a campaign, and lord knows the Democrats need to expand their coalition.

But Senator Obama is not just tacking gently toward the center. He’s lurching right when it suits him, and he’s zigging with the kind of reckless abandon that’s guaranteed to cause disillusion, if not whiplash.

So there he was in Zanesville, Ohio, pandering to evangelicals by promising not just to maintain the Bush program of investing taxpayer dollars in religious-based initiatives, but to expand it. Separation of church and state? Forget about it.

And there he was, in the midst of an election campaign in which the makeup of the Supreme Court is as important as it has ever been, agreeing with Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas that the death penalty could be imposed for crimes other than murder. What was the man thinking?

Thankfully, a majority on the court left the barbaric Scalia-Thomas-Obama (and John McCain) reasoning behind and held that capital punishment would apply only to homicides.

“What’s he doing?” is the most common question heard recently from Obama supporters.

For one thing, he’s taking his base for granted, apparently believing that such stalwart supporters as blacks, progressives and pumped-up younger voters will be with him no matter what. A taste of the backlash this can produce erupted on the candidate’s own Web site.

~snip~

Mr. Obama is betting that in the long run none of this will matter, that the most important thing is winning the White House, that his staunchest supporters (horrified at the very idea of a President McCain) will be there when he needs them.

He seems to believe that his shifts and twists and clever panders — as opposed to bold, principled leadership on important matters — will entice large numbers of independent and conservative voters to climb off the fence and run into his yard.

Obama is misreading, or simply abandoning his base. These individuals are the radical netroots who demand a candidate who is in lock step with most of their core beliefs. After all, they bought the Republican, and now Democratic(?) talking points about Hillary and rejected her because Obama promised to do away with triangulation and calculation. Obama was also able to bludgeon Hillary with her AUMF vote (even though he wasn't in the Senate at the time, later said he didn't know how he would have voted, and continuously voted to fund the war once in the Senate), and promised he would be the one to end the war. Now he's backtracking on Iraq, and his surrogates are just as confused as the electorate.

Obama will lose this gamble every time.

MoveOn.org is already angered, Code Pink is threatening to support Nader, and Kos is splitting in half, and as Herbert reveals, African Americans are concerned as well:

There has been a reluctance among blacks to openly criticize Senator Obama, the first black candidate with a real shot at the presidency. But behind the scenes, there is discontent among African-Americans, as well, over Mr. Obama’s move away from progressive issues, including his support of the Supreme Court’s decision affirming the constitutional right of individuals to bear arms.

There’s even concern that he’s doing the Obama two-step on the issue that has been the cornerstone of his campaign: his opposition to the war in Iraq. But the senator denied that any significant change should be inferred from his comment that he would “continue to refine” his policy on the war.

Senator Obama would do well to remember that we voters have numerous options, the least of which is being forced to vote for a candidate that has neglected, rejected and dejected us. We PUMAs have numerous strategies, and Senator Obama's former supporters are welcome to join our movement and choose a non-Obama option. After all, we know better than most how much room there is under the bus.

To Obama's chagrin many members of his base are out from under the bus, and on the fence.

MoveOn.org is already angered, Code Pink is threatening to support Nader, the Daily Kos is splitting in half, there's an uprising at his own site, and as Herbert reveals, African Americans are concerned as well:

There has been a reluctance among blacks to openly criticize Senator Obama, the first black candidate with a real shot at the presidency. But behind the scenes, there is discontent among African-Americans, as well, over Mr. Obama’s move away from progressive issues, including his support of the Supreme Court’s decision affirming the constitutional right of individuals to bear arms.

But the senator denied that any significant change should be inferred from his comment that he would “continue to refine” his policy on the war.

Still worse for Obama, many of his (former) supporters have undoubtedly even jumped into McCain's yard. But in the end, Obama should not expect anyone to pull the weeds and tidy his garden if he won't even water it.

Israelis Assault Award-Winning Journalist | ForeignPolicy | AlterNet.

This is absolutely stupid. The nation of Israel, on the one hand, to declare that they are pro-life and they follow the 10 Commandments, while at the same time committing murder the way they are, is not only an abomination before God is blasphemy as well. As an American Jew, I want to inform Israel that the rabbi who raised me in the Jewish faith was none other than Abba Hillel Silver. And, Rabbi Silver was the actual Jewish personality who spoke at the United Nations in 1950 in defense of Israel even becoming a state at all. Furthermore, Rabbi Silver, was the rabbi who co-drafted the declaration of independence for Israel with Ben Gurion. Furthermore, Rabbi Silver was also the head of the American Jewish Congress for years. Additionally, Abba Hillel Silver, and I were personal friends until his death.

Furthermore, I am a Sephardic Jew I am not an Ashkenazi Jew. I am a Sephardic Jew. And as such, I have never predicated the value, or my words, pursuant to my Jewish heritage upon any basis of money whatsoever. If the Jewish people want to be respected by Jews everywhere in the world they need to understand that what they did to the Felashi, was not only reprehensible. It was a show of open racism and bigotry at its best.

Furthermore, if the Jews want to be respected by the Jews you're the United States, they need to understand that the first step in doing that is by actually living by the 10 Commandments. I'm not only read the Talmud several times, I have a copy of it here in my home, and I've studied it for 30 years. The Talmud was written basically in the 1800s because the Ashkenazi Jews were under attack from various groups. So, the Ashkenazi Jews went to the rabbis and demanded that they have a way to protect themselves. The rabbis said that there was no way to do that because the 10 Commandments precluded any kind of killing. But because the Ashkenazi Jews were so inanimate, the Talmud was written, initially by a group known as, the Hasidic Jews, for the express purpose to give the Ashkenazi Jews, the right to defend themselves, and to kill others, when they believed it was necessary.

And so, as a result of that, the town that has mushroomed over the years into this huge long dissertation that basically gives the Jewish population. The right to do just about anything they want, when the Bible does not give them that right. As a Sephardic Jew, I do not believe in the validity of the Talmud, pursuant to the Bible, pursuant to the Jewish faith. I never have. The Talmud is nothing more than the catechism, in that it is a way to circumvent the 10 Commandments and to allow people to behave badly to themselves and to others whenever they feel they want to have the right to do so.

Additionally, people need to understand that the Muslims and the Jews are actually related. Jacob gave birth to two sons. One was Ishmael, and one was Joshua. God said to Jacob that he should not concern himself with Ishmael because Ishmael would be going and following another And would have multitudes who would follow him. And that became the Muslim faith. Joshua then went on to shepherd and found the Jewish faith. But the fact of the matter is, that basically what's happening over in Israel at this time, is nothing more than a family feud. And as such it is absolutely reprehensible that both sides become so rapid and religiously hysterical, that their religious hysteria is now destroying most of the holy places, and most of the value of that region has ever held. And this is absolutely a disgusting abomination before the Almighty and an abomination before both of their cultures and their religious beliefs.

There is no justification for this under any circumstances. We are a human condition of storytellers and writers. Without this aspect of our ability to communicate with ourselves and with each other, and to be able to transmit our information to those who exist elsewhere, then we have no culture and we have no value. For if all we do is simply talk to ourselves and nothing is really shared.

I never put myself above any one, or any Jewish person or anyone else in this entire world. I have always said, that I am the least of all that has ever lived. And that is true. However, the energy that comes through me absolutely does come from the Almighty like it does with all of us. Furthermore, I can tell you this point-blank, if the people in this world do not stop this religious hysteria where they're trying to kill each other, like nothing more than rabid dogs, then the earth will treat all of us. Just exactly like that. It is up to you as human beings how you live your lives every day. You can wake up in the morning and kill yourself with hatred. Or you can wake up in the morning and fill yourself with God. Every morning I wake up I feel myself with God and I tell myself with a love of life and I feel myself with the ambition that I've always live by these 40 years. You do the best I possibly can simply trying to be me. And that means that I do not go out of my way to act violently or to support violence in any way, shape, or form.

If the Jews of Israel really wanted demonstrate how much they'd support the 10 Commandments than they need to grant to the Reform and conservative Jews in Israel the same equal rights of the orthodoxy demands to have for themselves. There is no reason for Reform Jews and conservative Jews in Israel not to be allowed to practice a religion and not to be allowed to go to temple and not to be allowed to have any marital rights or death rights in the country. There's no reason why the orthodoxy who claim to follow the 10 Commandments routinely pressed Reform Jews in the military service to have them do the killing for the orthodoxy who want the killing done but don't have the audacity to do it themselves.

My word, Israel is that the Jews United States absolutely love you and we support you. The we also support the rights of all humans in this world to live in peace and to aspire to God, the Almighty, regardless from where that person comes. God is defined in the Christian Bible and the Jewish Bible and in almost all religious texts the matter what text you read, as being omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. And that means God is everywhere. And so that means that for anyone to be able to reach got all they have to do is open their heart, their head and their hand and their soul and to then to supplicate themselves before the Lord. They don't need to be a Christian in order to worship God they don't need to be a Jew in order to worship God they don't need to be a Muslim in order to worship God and God made all religions and God made all faiths and God made all people and God made all thought. It is how we as humans respond to those thoughts and those perspectives that gives us the choice of behavior and the choice of free will. And so when we decide to act out in a violent and hateful manner and practice racism and bigotry. That's not God's will. Let us using what God has given us and mistreating those concepts and twisting those concepts and perverting those concepts in such a way as to demonstrate ourselves as negatively as possible. And that's not of the Lord.

Like I said before, if you really wanted demonstrate how much you believe in God put your money where your mouth is and start acting the way God intended you to behave. Each means you will not kill anyone in this world. God never gave any human being the right to kill any single person. It was humans who gave each other that right, not God.

End of line...

Okay, maybe I'm making this up out of whole cloth but a Caroline Kennedy New York candidacy to challenge Hillary for the Senate or run for Governor would be a great way to reinvigorate the Kennedy brand while putting a beloved and, I'll wager, top-notch politician in office.

Roll with me on this...

Kennedy is a graduate of Harvard and Columbia Law, and the co-author of two very serious books. She's an attorney, and a mother, who has been deeply involved in a number of important civic and charitable groups including running the Kennedy Library Foundation. She has been the most recognizable Kennedy face during this campaign and she is currently serving on Obama's VP search committee. Assuming she doesn't pull a Cheney and somehow wind up with the job herself, what's next for her?

Perhaps a political appointment of some kind in 2009, say, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and then, rolling into 2010, the Democratic primary for governor. She's always been a loyal Democrat and David Paterson, the blind Lt. Governor who ascended to office when Spitzer got busted, will undoubtedly run for the office. The problem is he won't stand a chance against Giuliani or Bloomberg, never mind the rapacious Andrew Cuomo. In a sense, she'll have no choice but to run, otherwise the state falls into the hands of, well, Bloomberg wouldn't be so bad, but Giuliani would be a nightmare and would have to be stopped at all costs. So you see the possibilities. How exactly does Giuliani attack Caroline Kennedy?

But let's say she skips 2010 in preparation for taking on Hillary in 2012 (only a woman, and only a woman as famous and admired as CK could do this). This would be divine justice for the revolting campaign Hillary ran against Obama (Hillary feminists aren't the only ones who are mad), and would put, if she won, an actual New Yorker in a seat once held by her uncle Robert. Can you imagine the ads for this?

If all goes well this fall, Obama will sweep into office, along with a Congressional landslide, and usher in a new, post-1968, period in American politics. The little girl who bravely faced a future without her father way back in that decade might just be ready to seize the mantle of her family legacy and join the movement. The time for her to do so is ripe.

Barack Obama 's candidacy is historic. He has won the Democratic nomination but to become the president he has to appeal to more than his core believers. He has energized an electorate. He has young people who have never voted before seeing him as the hope for the future. The problem with being a transformative figure is when you make the slightest change in position it is highlighted as something bordering on betrayal. Over the past few weeks Obama is getting hits from the left and the right. The people from the left are upset at Obama's change of heart on FISA. He had said he would filibuster against it and now he says he will support it. He has been courting the evangelicals and has even talked of his own faith-based programs that are not too different from the Bush programs. Some of his supporters are downright livid, but the bottomline is if he does not start moving to the center he will just be a pleasant footnote in history. He wants to be president and he wants to make a difference, but in order to make this happen he has to attract move voters than the core believers. He walks a thin line and that he has to satisfy the people that have been with him from the beginning while attracting others who are just getting to know him. He is still the candidate of hope and with gas at over $4 a gallon, milk at $4 a gallon, record foreclosures, thousands of people being laid off everyday America is looking for some hope and he is the man that not only promises hope but also promises change.

Supreme Court Dashes Hopes for Justice Against Exxon | Corporate Accountability and WorkPlace | Alt

Supreme Court Dashes Hopes for Justice Against Exxon | Corporate Accountability and WorkPlace | AlterNet.

This is another example of how the court, pretty much controlled by Justice Scalia, is making decisions regardless of the actual beneficiaries of the law, which are we the people. It is also example of how the Supreme Court is violating their own oath of office. For it is against the law for the Supreme Court to make any decision, and/or adjudicate any case, pursuant to giving, and/or granting rights to anyone other than the actual beneficiaries of the Constitution. And the actual beneficiaries of the Constitution, are we the people. No organization, no business, no religious group under any circumstances, has any rights under the Constitution under article 1 article to an article 3 of the Constitution other than by virtue of the fact that people are the actual elements of those businesses, organizations or groups. If people are not the actual elements of the groups, organizations or businesses, then those businesses, organizations or groups have no rights under the law. That's the law.

So for Scalia and the other justices to continue to make, and/or adjudicate cases, whereby rights are given more to businesses than they are to the people behind those businesses that is a violation of constitutional law pursuant to how this nation was in fact predicated and based. There is no reason for the justices to circumvent their oath of office and to constantly adjudicate cases, whereby more civil liberties, and/or rights, are given to businesses, than they are to the people who make up those businesses. And the rights of the people of Alaska have in fact been violated by the Supreme Court. And this is an indication that Justice Scalia, is not only lying to the court of the United States, he's lying to the people of this country.

And for those who wanted take exception please let me explain.

My grandfather, Maurice Maschke, was the national Republican committeeman for all northeastern Ohio, until his death. Furthermore, my grandfather, Maurice Maschke, was United States customs inspector under president Harding for the entire United States. Furthermore, my grandfather, Maurice Maschke, was one of the leading Republicans in 1932, who brokered the deal and made peace between the white fundamentalist Christians Republicans who are attempting to overthrow the government under President Hoover at the battle of Washington. Furthermore, my grandfather was not only a graduate of Harvard University, he was United States Supreme Court attorneys as well. Furthermore, the Maschke family dates back to the 1700s during the Revolutionary war. And the Maschke family was one of the founding families of Cleveland, Ohio having known personally Moses Cleaveland during the Revolutionary war.

While justice Scalia likes to shoot his mouth off about how much he knows about the Constitution the very decision that he's making year where he is adjudicating a case more in favor with the business in the actual beneficiaries of the Constitution, which is we the people, clearly shows that Justice Scalia is operating pursuant to that adjudication pursuant to more political motivations, within his own mind, and decision-making process than he is operating pursuant to the laws of this country, which is the Constitution of these United States. And such a decision-making process is absolutely forbidden pursuant to anyone in the Supreme Court. You are not allowed, when you are a justice of the Supreme Court to make any decision, pursuant to any political agenda within your own frame of mind. You are not allowed to make any decision in the Supreme Court, other than decisions that are actually consistent with illegal Constitution of this country, which is the law of the land. And repeatedly justice Scalia makes decisions based on his political leanings antisocial homophobia and his religious hysterical behavior as well. Furthermore, one wonders why it is a justice Scalia is allowed to have a family member who works for the Bush administration while at the same time he's on the court of the Supreme Court. That is in fact classified not only by the rules and regulations of the Supreme Court, but by various federal laws, as a conflict of interest.

While the people in Alaska have been basically abused in this manner by the Supreme Court, they can take heart in knowing that it is only a matter of time before Scalia and the other members of the court who are violating the Constitution will be brought to justice. It's only a matter of time, the people of this country are not going to allow justice Scalia and Mr. Bush to continue to destroy the Constitution while they go ahead and adjudicate cases that are specifically designed to them June, and/or impeach the civil liberties of the legal beneficiaries of the Constitution, which is not Exxon, which is not any white fundamentalist Christian, but is collectively, we the people.

And as I said before, it's only a matter of time before, justice Scalia, Mr. Bush and all the white supremacist fundamentalist Christians and the white supremacist on those Christian Republicans are all brought to trial before the court and shown for their activity as being enemies of the Constitution, enemies of the people of this country and enemies of the United States as well. It's only a matter of time. Everyone in this country took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. That doesn't mean we're required to simply talk about it. We are required as American citizens to demonstrate our patriotism, and our support for the Constitution every single day with everything we do. To do anything less is to disavow our support for the Constitution and to proclaim that we do not support the law of this country and we do not support the Constitution. And the United States is not a nation that is known for its religion. But people do not look to the United States as a beacon of hope because of our religious hysteria and I religious prejudice. That is not what people admired United States. People have admired United States for only one small piece of paper. And this piece of paper has a series of rules and regulations on it. And that is a paper is the Constitution of the United States. That is the beacon of hope that people look to when they try to reason out how to build their own countries and how to emulate United States people do not emulate the United States because of our white supremacy and are Christian hatred for Jews in this country people emulate United States because of the Constitution in the freedoms and the rights that espouses and supports.

If Scalia can't put up and shut up and start acting like a patriot like a Supreme Court justice than he needs to be brought to trial so that he can explain why he has the right to adjudicate cases that impedes the civil liberties of the people of this country when he is required to protect the civil liberties. And it is impossible to protect and defend the Constitution when you are making decisions, and/or presiding over adjudications, that in fact the impeach or abrogate the civil liberties of the very people you are charged to protect. You cannot protect the Constitution when you are actively working to destroy various aspects of the Constitution, because when you do that you are in violation of your own oath that you took as an American citizen, and/or as a public official if you are one.

As I said before, it's only a matter of time before, justice Scalia and all these other people who are committing felonies under constitutional law are brought to trial and shown for the terrorists and anti-Americans that they are.

It's only a matter of time...

I wanted to go into greater detail about the Windows Vista operating system to make sure that there

I wanted to go into greater detail about the Windows Vista operating system to make sure that there is no mistaking what I try to transcribe using my hands earlier. My hands were in such pain that the transcription didn't go very well and I don't think I was as articulate as I wanted to be.

1. Windows Vista is too large. There is no reason Windows Vista needs to be 2 GB large. The kernel needs to be rewritten so that Windows Vista is no larger than 1 GB, which then would mushroom when it actually is operating inside the computer architecture, to nothing more than perhaps 200 MB. That's about what Windows XP ends up being at any given moment. There's no reason for Windows Vista to be much larger than that regardless of all the extra things are putting in. I've written tight code. And Microsoft has written tight code in the past. Windows XP is an example of type code that Microsoft has written. So there is no reason for Vista to be so large. Regardless of any of the lies of the propaganda that Microsoft is trying to put up on the market.

2. Windows Vista needs to be unable to allow data from XP data discs, to be read on Windows Vista machines. I have 10 thanks to David discs that have data on them. I had to go back to XP, because Windows Vista under no circumstances would read any of the data from XP disks. And that's basically because Microsoft wants to prioritize Windows Vista and forced people to go to Windows Vista, whether we like it or not and that is not only bad business, but it's being a gangster.

So if Microsoft really wants to demonstrate how concerned they are with the user than they need to open up Windows Vista code so that XP data can be read by the Windows Vista machines, which it currently is not able to do.

3. Windows Vista needs to be able to network more easily with XP machines. To not do this means that you're forcing people to go out there and buy all sorts of new machinery just to be able to continue to network with their machines. That is not only unfair, it is absolutely belligerent in the marketplace because you're forcing small businesses and midsize businesses and mom-and-pop businesses who don't have a lot of money to go out there and spend huge amounts of money to convert all of their machines and all other data files to Windows Vista, which can cost of several thousands of dollars. And in today's market with today's money that's not only impractical it absolutely asinine. So if Microsoft wants to go ahead and actually pushed their Windows Vista on the market they need to make program smaller. They need to make a program tighter. And they need to allow Windows XP sheens the more easily networked with Windows Vista. In the one year that I had Windows Vista on four different occasions. It took two different technicians almost 6 hours to be able to allow my XP machine in this house to network with my Vista machine in this house. And furthermore, every time they were able to get it to network with the Vista machine that network was only able to be substantiated for not more than three months before the network eroded and they were no longer able to network at all.

So as I said. Microsoft either needs to step up to the plate and make this correction to the Windows Vista whether or not you get a lot of customers because people aren't they want to use a program that so difficult to use.

4. Microsoft needs to them Windows Vista so that Windows Vista does not take almost 20 minutes to shut down. In the one year I had Windows Vista. It took my Windows Vista on the average between 15 and 20 minutes to shut down at least once or twice a week. On the average it would take almost 5 minutes for it to shut down before would then be able to restart. That's too slow. That's not efficient and note most people in business don't have that kind of time to sit there and wait for this very sluggish albatross of a program to crawl and the snails pace. While he goes ahead and figures out how to restart. That's not good business. Microsoft can do better and if we expect Microsoft to not do better than work something Microsoft for what they are and not what they can be and that's been thinking.

5. There is no reason why Windows Vista should take between 15 and 20 minutes to start almost every single time you start the machine. I have bench test statistics showing clearly that the Vista machines. And I have one of the fastest machines made in the entire world, by the Dell Corp., and every time I would start my Windows Vista machine. It would take between 15 and 20 minutes for it to start and to stop processing before it even use my mouse. And that's because of the indexing and all the other junk that is loaded and with Windows Vista that has made it nothing more than an albatross and a slug to use.

6. The indexing feature of Windows Vista is absolutely an abomination is always processing in the background and its processing so much that it causes the other services to suffer and have a problem.

7. Most of the software was able to use Windows XP will not work or did not work under Windows Vista, no matter what I did matter how hard I tried they were crashes all the time in a five-month. I had over 980 crashes in five months and most of those crashes were with Microsoft software and Windows Vista. So of Windows Vista such a good program than why did I have 900 and so my crashes in five months with mostly Microsoft software?

8. The user account feature in Windows Vista is one of the most disgusting things of ever seen. It's one of the most draconian aspects of Windows Vista and one of the most interoperable aspect of Windows Vista I've ever seen in my entire life. It needs to be redone.

As I said before, Microsoft one to the techies here in the United States and asked them what they wanted a program and the techies Randa Microsoft is that we want this we want this do this do this do this. And so Microsoft basically gave everything that the techies wanted to them and basically told the users to drop dead. So you have moms and dads out there that are trying to balance their checkbooks and perhaps talk to family members around the country and they get a Windows Vista machine that is so problematic that they're spending probably 30 and 40 hours every single week just adjusting Windows Vista to keep it running. And this is one of the main reasons that most of the users don't even want to touch Microsoft or Windows Vista anymore because they just don't trust Microsoft, because that's just nothing but a bunch of garbage to have to work that hard with a program to make it work.

Additionally, it can take almost 5 or six times for the icons to accurately show up on the taskbar

with Windows Vista, because of how horrible Windows Vista starts every single time and all the problems with the indexing. Additionally, Microsoft is even caring about the students who are out there and trying to not only go to school, but are also trying to compile photographs and memories for their parents and for their life. And at the same time have you spent again 30 and 40 hours a seen the Windows Vista program and making it run right by doing all sorts of adjustments which most of the students don't have. They don't have the time for that they're trying to study the trying to learn to trying to build a career and get their overburdened with a program that was not made for the user but made for the technical people. So technical people got everything they wanted, which is why the technical people are saying to us users grow up and put up and shut up and take what we give you. And that's another reason the users are saying to the technical people like hell!

So Microsoft wants Windows Vista to be accepted they need to do what I'm telling them to do here in this particular Journal. If they don't like what I'm saying to bad. There's not many people left in the world are no computers as much as I do or as well as I do. And for people to say differently they have to be 57 years old. Like I am, and they have to have been installing computers since 1966, which is what I've been doing. I've been installing computers and installing software since 1966. So unless you been installing computers and software since 1966 and 57 years old and you have all the knowledge that I have you don't know computers as well as I do matter what you say matter what you do. You don't. That's the bottom line. I've owned two companies on my own I've been a partner in for companies and I have a 189 IQ every 5000 words a minute with a photographic memory. I didn't do all those things because I'm a jerk arms stupid. I did those things because I've got brains. Just because I mentally ill doesn't mean I'm stupid I've never been stupid. I may be mentally ill and I may be difficult emotionally, or culturally or socially to be around. But that does not make the stupid.

And furthermore I will not use Windows Vista under any circumstances, unless these things are dealt with. I'm not going to do matter what Microsoft says I'm not in use Windows Vista, unless they make it compatible with XP. I'm not in use Windows Vista, if I've got a go out and buy new machinery every two months or every six months just to accommodate the stupid gluttonous attitude of computer makers and software makers. And for those who are curious, I have written tight programming code. In deal as programming I've written code that's been in excess of 2800 lines long even 5600 lines long. And I've made it so tight that it was seamless on the computer and I did it with floppy drives before any of these fancy computers were around. So I know what I'm talking about.

I've installed computers and some the largest companies and small is companies in this country and were I wasn't directly involved in the installation I was always there is a consultant. And that doesn't make me better than anyone. Not at all, it just means I have more knowledge than most people and I'm not about to Lord my knowledge over anyone I'm using my knowledge and try to help the good community in the business world be better. If you look at Microsoft and see Windows Vista for what it is and you see nothing but junk Vista is exactly what Microsoft is right now but that's not what Microsoft can be. We the people, and the users of this country should be demanding better from Microsoft and demanding better expertise and be demanding better programs. There's no reason that you should make moms and dads and kids are going to school go out and spend thousands of dollars every year or every couple years just to buy a new machine because you people in the computer industry and you people in the software industry are so selfish and greedy that you just don't care about how much money you make people waster have to go and spend. That's not ethical that's not good business and it's not right.

And so, as I said, if Microsoft wants to really show the world that they're interested in doing a good job for computers than they need to change and redo Windows Vista completely ground-up completely. If they can't make Windows Vista retroactively adaptable, and able to interface with XP in a network and read the XP data unilaterally then they failed. If they can't redo the indexing feature of Windows Vista and tighten up the kernel so that Windows Vista goes into the operating system with only one getting like Dragon NaturallySpeaking does, and then mushroomed to what and IE 7 normally does, which is about 200 megs than Microsoft has failed.

This isn't about beating Microsoft in the ground. This is about me trying to meet Microsoft half way and say to them if you want my money if you want me to spend my money with your company and you need to put up and shut up and start delivering a good product and not something that's garbage and don't use your propaganda and you're filthy public relations effort to lie to us the users about its a good product when it's not a good product at all. That's not ethical that's not good business and you're not going to get my money to continue to do that.

We the users deserve better and we must stand together and be firm on this and force Microsoft to put up and shut up and start acting like an ethical business in this world or they might as well go ahead and get sued again. And let's also ask why is it that in Europe the European countries were able to force Microsoft to divorce IE 7 from the Windows architecture so that they don't have to have IE 7, when they get Windows. But in the United States the people of this country were never given an option because were not allowed to sue Microsoft and get that option, but they were successful in suing Microsoft in Europe to get that option. So why are they better than us why is Europe able to get that option where they can have Windows without IE 7. When we can't?

And that in itself speaks volumes about how sinister and evil Microsoft is as a company

.

And as I said, I am really ashamed of Ziff Davis for selling out the Microsoft trying to put a whitewash on Windows Vista when everyone who has anything to do with computers notes that Windows Vista has so many problems with it. That is basically unusable at this point and that the behavior of the computer makers and the software makers to gather is absolutely reprehensible when it comes to how they are treating the user and forcing the user to continually go out and buy bigger and bigger pieces of machinery most of which the users don't have the money for in this market because of all the crashing financial problems. And that again is showing nothing more than how reprehensible and how inexcusable. The behavior is on the part of the computer makers and the software makers and Microsoft.

Give us some good products Microsoft or you won't get our money. It's that simple. You want our money deliver good products and good service and not public relation shows that not public relations forums and not whitewashing news stories. Put your money where your mouth is and deliver a good product or you're not to get our money. That's the bottom line.

End of line...

Dollar slips against euro - Jul. 9, 2008.

As I've said before, the financial people around the world need to stop behaving hysterically. And in a very openly racist manner. The Kondratieff wave is actually taking place as were talking. And this is another example of the Kondratieff wave effect taking place. I'm not going to go on at great length because I've done that repeatedly in this blog and other blogs as well. The financial people of the world with their wise up and understand that they are in the middle of a total market collapse globally, or they will end of suffering such terrible financial loss cataclysmic way, and unilaterally, that many of the nations throughout the world, and their respective currencies, will become so damaged, that the business contract basically will become changed forever. And if that is the driving force behind the hysterical financial people in this world and they're doing a really good job. It all they can do is go through and try to destroy as much as they possibly can to doing a great job. Because the markets are virtually falling apart.

And to that new lady who came from banking to be under the Fed, she needs to understand that if she's going to look at the market using symptomatic logic that she will not understand what's going on in the marketplace. Symptomatic logic is the last thing that the financial world needs at this point. Symptomatic logic, as I've said before, is logic that is primarily three-dimensional, linear, and reactionary. And as a result of symptomatic logic primarily looks at all of the immediate elements pursuant to any condition that exists at that time and as a reactionary position, philosophically, and/or logically, as a prospective, as it relates to dealing with that circumstance..

What is needed at this point of course is problematic logic. Problematic logic is multidimensionally defined, and it is nonlinear, and it is anticipatory. And as a result of that when someone is using problematic logic pursuant to any particular condition, they are not only looking at all of the elements that are part of any given circumstance at the moment of death circumstances happening; but they are also looking at all the elements that are feeding that circumstance pursuant to potential future manifestations of that circumstance. And this is as a result of problematic logic being multidimensional, which means basically that it looks in many different directions and many different aspects of the logical argument pursuant to what someone is being confronted with, and anyone given moment in time.

Unfortunately most of the financial idiots in the world who claim to be financial geniuses aren't really smart at all. Because most of them are using symptomatic logic, which makes most of their decision-making and their thoughts and their abuse of the market quite linear or, what I call flat mind is thinking. There is no excuse for this kind of thinking when looking at the market. The basic problem that is going to exist as a result of the Kondratieff wave taking effect pursuant to the market at this time, is that you are going to look at what is called specie reallocation. And that's basically where one of the currencies in one of the major global markets will be completely decimated to the point where it will no longer be able to continue. And at that point, what will happen is a new currency will be supplanted with the old one existed. And while it doesn't seem like a real big deal it is a major major deal. Because when that happens, you have all sorts of cultural, and psychological, sociological, anthropological, ramifications that will result. When people wake up one morning and the current city used to deal with the day before no longer has any value you can pretty well but the to kill culture is going to go fairly well psychotic within the next few hours. So you're not talking about a a ride in the park your talking about a really difficult cultural roller coaster that people don't need to go through.

And the way for this to be able to be averted is not that difficult, although it takes a great deal of courage and most of the world leaders do not have this kind of courage

. What you're looking at issue looking at total global price freeze. The price freeze has to be initiated for a period of six months. Or, what is known as to full quarters. What you do is you have about one full quarter on either end of the two quarters that the freeze is actually going to take place. Initially I said that maybe one month would be sufficient, but in light with how hysterical people are in the amount of panic that's going on to the world you're really going to need a full quarter on either end of the freeze quarters to two quarters with the freeze takes place, in order to be able to manifest the freeze. And what you do is simple.

First, during the first quarter before the freeze you arbitrate with the different global markets around the world to initiate the freeze. When I talk about price freeze. I'm talking about a unilateral price freeze on all goods and services all throughout the entire world. The prices are frozen solid for two full quarters. The first quarter before the freeze is implemented you set up the freeze with the different global markets. After that first quarter is done, and the freeze has in fact been organized and outlined, then the two full quarters, or six months of the freeze actually begin. And during that freeze. All of the businesses throughout the world and all the governments throughout the world. They put up and they shut up and they realize this is what is known as a cooling off period. This is known as a time when all the businesses in the governments need to put up and shut up and realize what's more important in getting as much money out of the market as you can, is not more important than sustaining the world markets as a whole. If you do not sustain the world markets, you will not have any markets at all. It's just that simple. So after the two quarters where the freeze has in fact been initiated than what you do is you use one quarter or three full months after the freeze to begin to lift the freeze off. And again you can't just flip a switch and suddenly open up the gates let everybody start charging again, whatever they want you can't do that control set to be put in place, because people are very very panic at this time and people are in a great deal of denial about global warming, not to mention a lot of other issues. And so you have to lift the freeze. Initially, partially. And then what you do is you lifted radiantly after that, so that not the entire freeze is completely lifted at all. You leave some of the freeze in place. And this will have to be because humans right now are so panic and so hysterical regarding the marketplace that they no longer able to make really good clear judgments about what is best for the world market most people, most companies, are making many more decisions pursuant what's good for themselves and not for the market.

Now, if you can't take this advice, tough luck, because you'll end up getting what you deserve no end up being victimized by your own stupidity in your own greed.

End of line...
