El éxito de esta saga narrativa recuerda a otros libros juveniles que levantaron pasiones (no muy lejos de Harry Potter). La diferencia es la madurez narrativa de esta obra, que quizás recuerde al último libro de la colección del joven mago. Es la típica novela que se vende boca a boca, gusta, encanta y engancha. Acabas siendo Bella, enamorada locamente de Edward. Los que la leen dice que viven la novela con intensidad gracias a las maravillosas y preciosas descripciones de las emociones de la protagonista.

A todo ello, hay que añadirle de la indudable calidad de la redacción de las tres obras. Vale decir que Crepúsculo (Twilight en inglés, primera novela que engullí en menos de 2 días) consiguó entrar entre la lista de los más vendidos de The New York Times, además del premio Choice editor del mismo periódico y el Publisher Weekly al mejor libro de 2005. Sus secuelas, Luna Nueva y Eclipse, no se quedan atrás. Y es que la historia de amor de estos dos adolescentes ha enganchado a millares de jóvenes y mayores incapaces de dejar volar la historia de nuestros dos protagonistas. No desvelo el argumento: aventuras, amor y acción con una literatura ligera y desenfadada que engancha nada más comenzar. Se trata de novelas no recomendadas antes de dormir, si no quieren correr el riesgo de quedarse dormidos la mañana siguiente.

Especialmente interesantes es el guiño que realiza la autora a grupos musicales como Coldplay, Travis o Muse (entre otros) que según ella son sus fuentes de inspiración. Muy recomendable leer el libro acompañada de las canciones mencionadas por la autora (cada capítulo corresponde a una canción). Y tampoco faltan referencia bibliográficas (incluso similitudes) a clásicos literarios como las novelas de Jane Austen (la mejor novelista romántica de la historia) o Cumbres borrascosas.

Os animo a que lo leáis y cometéis. Y al que no le guste leer la versión cinematográfica, (probablemente peor. Versiones siempre son peores...Pero ya hablaremos otro días de las películas basadas en libros) cuyo estreno en nuestro país será el 19-12-2008. Yo estaré entre las butacas. Abbiamo già riflettuto sulle soundtrack e sulle prime informazioni inedite sul film in questo vecchio post.
Ora, cosa ne penso del trailer? Meglio attendere il trailer in italiano per capirne meglio il pathos e le emozioni soprattutto per noi madrelingua italiani. Per adesso posso dire che mi convince molto la scena iniziale del furgone, mentre la scena di lotta finale la trovo molto finta e "ritoccata". Le musiche sono poco azzeccate (vi rimando alla discussione nata nel post di oggi di Valechaos) e gli attori ambigui: Kirsten Stewart poco espressiva come attrice, Edward molto ritoccato nelle foto delle locandine (meglio in video) e James attraente nelle foto e molto meno in video. Voi che ne pensate?

So let's take this as my mini tribute to Edward Cullen (I dare say, the most popular fictional vamp in the world at this very moment...let's face it).

What I love:
-The scenery is so majestically beautiful; exactly how I imagined Forks in my mind: dreary and lovely at the same time.
-The incorporation of the apple (a.k.a forbidden fruit) that bounces off Edward's foot and into his hands; I nearly gasped when this happened as it so perfectly tied back to the book cover.
-The special effects are awesome! The tree climbing with panoramic views, and vampires gracefully leaping through the air felt exhilarating.
-We truly see and feel the dynamic between Edward and Bella: the meeting, the torment, the inquisitive looks, the instance of falling in love, etc. Juxtaposed is the danger and complexity that this relationship brings forth- this torment is what makes the story so compelling and fascinating.

I'm so giddy with excitement...LOVE IT! Bravo to Catherine Hardwicke and the cast!

              Sem tirar o fato de ter sua mãe te pentelhando para saber se você tomou remédio. Odeio tomar remédio. Cápsulas de coisinhas facilmente duvidosas que se você tomar de estômago vazio te matam de dor de barriga! Vai entender? Não compreendo hipocondríacos!

              Mas apesar das tosses, espirros e Darth Vadres o dia não foi de todo perdido. Andei fuçando em blogs, assistindo Arquivo-X e videozinhos de vinte e cinco segundos de Twilight que me fizeram hiper-ventilar... E estou há quase duas horas tentando baixar o primeiro episódio de True Blood e continuo na tentativa até o final desse post.

              Começo a acreditar nas oportunidades que a vida te dá, por exemplo: se eu estou aqui em casa presa entre cobertas, remédios para febre e lencinhos ultra suaves Oo’ posso muito bem aproveitar o momento para certas coisas que o cursinho me impede. E assistir Pushing Daises é uma dessas coisas. E ler fics. Estava realmente com saudades disso. Escrevê-las também. Mas se eu tivesse passado a tarde toda aqui escrevendo fics meu braço estaria do tamanho e da cor do braço do Shrek, e eu prezo em não ter tendinite nos próximos, vejamos, MIL ANOS!

              E esse post vai ficar guardado para a posteridade. Porque prova que uma pessoa com as narinas seriamente comprometidas e sobre efeitos de medicamentos alopáticos não deve postar em seu blog, pois sobre de falta de coerência. Sério, reparem só. Esse post não teve lógica. Começou com gripe e terminou com o braço do Shrek. Quem vai entender!

I wish I had a shot of the scissor hands. I took some black plastic sheets from those school binders and cut them to look like those long shears. We had just watched the movie and Blane had the act down to a "t". Everyone at the party wanted to just hug him. He won a trophy that night, but I can't remember the category.

I find the best costumes I've made were the simple ones when I was in a time crunch and had to come up with something for that night. My mom is like that too. She is the absolute best costume designer, ever.

***UPDATE: Remember when I wrote about the supposed Twilight script that was floating around on the Internet? Um...well let me just say that something is given away in the newly released photos that make me believe that script is pretty accurate...leaked information strikes again! And no, it's not obvious and I'm not going to point it out to you...unless you bribe me of course.

Well I'm quite glad to say that it didn't. Don't worry, I'm not about to start some rant on how fantabulous the book is, but I will analyse it just for the sake of it. First, the plot. Basically it's a love story between a vampire and a human. Of course there are the dramas along the way but I'm not planning on spoiling the plot for anyone so I'll stop here. Many people seem to think that the plot isn't very good and that it's Stephenie Meyer's talent for writing that makes the book as superb as it is, however I know of some people who disagree with that. In my opinion, the writing compliments the plot and vice-versa. Without one, the other would not be as good as possible. Her unique style of writing fits the genre perfectly and obviously her imagination is just as good. Every minute detail in the book is perfected and everything falls into place later on in the plot. I would definitely recommend it as a good read, though do not get too attached or let it capture you too much because unless you plan to sleep till 1pm the next day, you will be up reading all night.

It's not on the same level as Harry Potter and I doubt that anything ever will be, with all the hype and fans and movies.. but Twilight is probably going to be as good as you will find. So have a read and enjoy it, but don't let it get to your head.. keep your sanity!

Yes, you read it right!. The movie Twilight is showing more early than it's original showing schedule. So instead of waiting for December 08, now we will be able to see it this coming November 21.  Isn't that great!

I have been waiting this movie since last year. I love the story, it is so intimate, and the passion of love really binds the two main characters with perfect chemistry of a vampire-human love romance. From the first day i read the Twilight Book of Stephanie Meyer, every night i can't stop thinking about what is happening in the story and what will happen on the next chapter.  Sometime I was wondering if vampire really exist. If vampire really are romantic, and charming. Sometime is even, dreamed about what i had read or sometimes dreaming of having a vampire boyfriend.

Stephanie Meyers books is really my obsession after reading the Twilight. I read the New Moon, Eclipse constantly, like after i know that im already running out of pages to read, i automatically for to the boolstore are puchase the next book. At first, I do not read that much but since then, i always have the book with me, and whenever i had a chance to read it i litereally grabed that moment. I even wrote a sequelle of it in fanfiction but never had a chance to finish it due to so much personal stuff to do. Last month, I bought the fourth book Breaking Dawn, where i is really interesting. Bella and Edward got married ,and they are having a baby, but the story dosen't there yet. There are still a lot of interesting things happen in the story, so what are you waiting for? Own a Breaking Dawn Book.  It is a worth reading for.

Oh yeah, the Official Single  of the movie Twilight is "DECODE" from the one of the most popular band now a day The Paramore. Where the female vocalist, Hayley Williams, is a very big fan of the book.

I personally love the single. It really suite the movie. I can't wait for November 21st. I'll be on the line or i'll buy the ticket a week before if i could. :)

Nedavno sem slišala razlago nekega moškega (samski, star 30 let). To so sicer res le njegove želje, ampak mogoče bi jih lahko posplošila. Torej. Njemu je pomembno, da punca nima "zgodovine". Se pravi po možnosti čimmanj zvez, navezanosti, spominov, izkušenj... To potem pomeni, da je fajn, če je mlada... Ampak spet ne premlada, ker potem to spet pomeni en kup drugih problemov. Torej je takih verjetno zelo malo. In to je problem.

Kaj pa hočemo ženske? Vsekakor ne neizkušenih moških. Če pri (recimo) 30ih letih moški še nima kakšne zveze za sabo, potem zna biti sumljiv. To je pa po moje tudi več al manj vse, kar lahko splošnega povem, ker pri ženskah pa res ni neke logike, kakšnega bi si želele. Ene resnega (=dolgočasnega), ene izobraženega (=ego na višku), ene umetnika (=nič hudga, če ne bomo jedl...), ene športnika (=važno je, da je on srečen), ene bogatega (=ni vse v ljubezni). Itd. Ni pravila. Pri moških je pa jasno, da mora ženska:

1. bit manj brihtna od njega
2. manj zaslužit
3. biti urejena, pa ne preveč
4. ne se preveč na glas smejat
5. biti nevpadljiva in namesto piva naročiti čaj
6. ne sme kaditi
7. smehljati se njegovim šalam

Najbrž so to pravila, ki se jih je treba držat, da potem srečaš "pravega". In to je pri 17ih letih del ženske narave - take takrat so (no, ne vse...). Potem pa zmeraj manj. Zmeraj manj se prilagajamo tem njihovim pravilom, ki ostajajo nespremenjena... Preveč jih je strah, če ženske ne ustrezajo zgoraj navedenim pravilom.

1. Brihtna je - celo življenje bom copata.
2. Dovolj zasluži - zapustila me bo in si dobila drugega.
3. Preveč je urejena - vsi bulijo vanjo, konkurenca na obzorju...
4. Na glas se smeji - kaj si bodo misili o meni, imam čudaško žensko, mal utrgano...
5. Pije pivo - to ni za ženske, napila se ga bi in mi delala sramoto
6. kadi - med nosečnostjo bo škodovala svojemu otroku
7. ne smeji se mojim šalam - neumen sem.

Zajebano je. Ne zdržim dovolj časa igranja po njihovih pravilih. Obstajajo moški, ki teh "moških" pravil NE upoštevajo. Ponavadi nimajo "poštenih" namenov. RES je zajebano.

Pa "zajebano" in "fakof" (de ne napišem še kej druzga) se tud ne sme na glas izjavit, vem...
