Johnsonville Big Taste Grill is a popular presence at American outdoor events, especially when funds raising is needed for charity.
Still, for those who have never heard of the touring big grill, here are some details: in 1995, at the 50th anniversary of the famous sausage producer Johnsonville Sausage – a family owned business in Wisconsin, the first Johnsonville Big Taste Grill was launched, world's largest touring grill. Largest gas grill, that is a truck weighing more than 53,000 pounds and measuring 65 feet long, equipped with all necessary utilities to feed a hungry crowd – hot and cold running water, a prep station and a refrigeration unit. The capacity of the grill is 750 brats at a time and around 2,500 per hour.
The funds raised by sales at the grill are used for the benefit of local charities or non-profit organizations. Over the years, over 1.5 million dollars were raised for charities across the United States and Canada.
The Big Taste Grill is a sight itself: even those who are familiar with truck grills, seeing this one for the first time are impressed with its enormity and uniqueness. Thus a great opportunity is offered for people to contribute to preferred charities in a pleasant way.
One of the latest apparitions was at a fund raise for a local non-profit, at the Oconee County on 26-27 November.
A recent event of great popularity was the one at the Pentagon, on October 7, "The Pentagon Brats & Music Festival", where funds were raised for the Pentagon Memorial Fund by selling lunches to the 23,000 employees of the Pentagon. Serving from Johnsonville's Big Taste Grill were Miss America, Miss Virginia and Washington Redskin Cheerleaders.

About The Author

Laura Ciocan writes for http://www.natural-gas-grills.info where you can find articles, buying tips and reviews of popular gas grills
Please feel free to use this article in your Newsletter or on your website.

Gary Allen a country singer from Long Beach, California, who mesmerized the city audience too. He was born in Montebello, California on Dec 5, 1967. He was named Gary Herzberg. Gary was raised in La Mirada, California. In his early teens, actually at the age of twelve he began to play the honky-tonk circuit with his father’s band to follow his father’s footsteps. Gary Allen turned down a record deal when he was still in high school. Allen used most of his twenties to groom his skills as a new traditionalist country singer. But finally Decca label picked him up in 1996. Allen’s first album “Used Heart for Sale” came out that year. Though his first album was not a very brave attempt but he established himself as a talented performer having immense potential. He managed to give to hits “Her Man" in 1996 and "It Would Be You" in 1998.
Two years later he came back with his second album “It Would Be You”. His talent was more acknowledged after this album. In 1999 Allen was signed by MCA, with whom he released his blockbuster third album “Smoke Rings In The Dark”. The ravishing title track and “Right Where I Need to Be” of this super hit album geared it to a platinum level. The album contains almost the best ever done by Allen. It was shown that Allen have taken special care that the music should not get very heavy for the city-life listeners. And it worked like anything. His album also included a stimulating cover of the Del Shannon classic "Runaway" that recollected to Allan's teen days on the honky tonk circuit.
With Allen’s forth album “Alright Guy” though it was not a super hit like the earlier one, he proved that he is only getting polished with his growing age. This album also contained two hits “The One" and "Man to Man”. “Man To Man” was a # 1 Hit. Allen toured a lot with his Album “Alright Guy” before working on his next up coming album. And when "See If I Care" came out in 2003, it proved to be another milestone towards his twilight of success. It spurred his singing career even more.
Besides his several hits, Allen was nominated for CMA Horizon award, which is given to newcomers in 2003. And that very year, he released his next album “See If I Care”, having the hits "Tough Little Boys" and "Songs About Rain." An unfortunate event followed him. In 2004, his wife committed suicide. But later on next year in 2005, Allen released his sixth the album “Tough All Over”.
His style has reflections of Bakersfield Sound, but with the beautiful modern touch. He is moving along well with graceful pace in his singing career. He doesn’t only possess rustic alluring looks but also have a talent to glorify his persona.
For more details visit http://www.ticketnest.com/concert-tickets/Gary-Allan/index.php

About The Author

Ron Arthur is a Search Engine Marketer working for Carlsbad, CA based web-metrics company Sofizar.

In the age of fair competition you may find it hard to believe that a search engine may hinder the appearance of a new website. This is what is currently believed to be happening on more web servers today. Some programmers have viewed Google as uncomfortable to rank newer websites until they have proven their viability to exist for more than a period of “x” months. Thus the term “Sandbox Effect” applies to the idea that all new websites have their ratings placed in a holding tank until such time is deemed appropriate before a ranking can commence.
However the website is not hindered as much as the links that are reciprocated from other users. Newer links that are created are put on a “probationary” status until again they pickup in rank from other matured sites or placed directly by an ad campaign. The idea behind the hindrance is to prevent a fast ranking to occur on a new website. The usual holding period seems to be between 90 and 120 days before a site would start obtaining rank from reciprocal or back linking.
Some advice has been given to have companies you are going to reciprocate back add your link first to the website. This may help grandfather your site in, thus reducing the waiting time associated with “new” websites. People have noticed a 0 page rank when first signing up and receiving a bolstering 7 page ranking after 4 months. Why the delay? The fact is, that if people realized how easy it would be to get a high ranking, would that take away the credibility of the engine. It depends on whom you ask, but it does seem to be happening frequently to newer subscribers. Do not discontinue back linking, your rank will eventually appear.

About The Author

Jakob Jelling is the founder of http://www.sitetube.com.
It is impossible to study the history of wine country in the Sierra Foothills and the Delta without

It is impossible to study the history of wine country in the Sierra Foothills and the Delta without knowledge of the broader economic forces that have shaped the region since the mid-nineteenth century.
Years Before the Gold Rush
Until the Gold Rush, Stockton and Sacramento were natural deep water ports. The subsequent mining during the Gold Rush filled the riverbeds with debris. These cities are still deep water ports, but only because a path through the Delta is dredged.
The early economy revolved around the transport of goods to and from these regional centers. However, the population was relatively small and did not support a significant wine industry.
The Independent Miner: Impact on Wine Country
On January 24, 1848, James Marshall discovered gold in the American River. When news got out, a flood of young men raced to the region to seek their fortunes.
For a few years, miners searched streams throughout the Sierra Foothills for surface placer. It was during these early years of the Gold Rush that the romanticized notion of the self-sufficient miner emerged. The mythological independent miner is a part of California's identity to this day.
These miners had an incessant thirst for alcohol. This demand led to the birth of the Sierra Foothills Wine Country. In 1856, Swiss immigrant Adam Uhlinger planted grapes in the Shenandoah Valley. These were the original vineyards in the Sierra Foothills and were located in Amador County.
The wine industry boomed in the following years to satisfy the need for alcohol amongst the miners. Despite the unhospitable soils, rugged entrepeneurs continued to seek out new locations to grow grapes and make wine.
Early vineyards were also planted to the north of Uhlinger's original vines in the more elevated El Dorado County. In 1860, Fossati-Lombardo was the first winery established in the newly incorporated town of El Dorado.
At the height of the Gold Rush, there were over 100 wineries in the Sierra Foothills. All evidence points to Zinfandel as the primary varietal at the time. Wines were extremely rustic, naturally very alcoholic and often fortified.
Industrial Mining: Impact on Wine Country
After the surface placer was discovered and mined, large-scale operations took over. The idea of independent miners striking their fortunes is largely a misnomer. It was true for the first few years, but as with any major business opportunity in a free market society, capital was rapidly pooled to profit from it. The Pacific Stock Exchange was the epicenter of concentrating the capital needed to undertake these massive operations.
Entire rivers were diverted with wooden flumes in an effort to scour the dry riverbeds for gold. The scale of these operations was monumental.
The mining industry also began to delve deep into the earth through the practice of hydraulicking. Hydraulicking was the process of literally blasting away mountainsides with pressurized water. This tactic had immediate as well as long-lasting implications for region's wine country, environoment and economy.
To this day, there are man-made canyons that are hundreds of feet deep in the Sierra Foothills from this process. Debris washed downstream to the Delta and caused massive flooding and devastation at the time. They also formed a base of silt which is partly responsible for the current region's remarkable productivity. However, the immediate economic benefits were felt in the emerging metropolis of San Francisco.
The industrial and real estate fortunes of San Francisco were tied not only to the actual gold of the Sierra Foothills, but also the frenzy created by gold fever. A handful of wealthy San Franciscans owned factories located south of Market Street that produced the machinery needed for hydraulicking. They also owned much of the real estate north of Market Street. They completed their highly profitable cycle by using newspapers and magazines to advertise the potential for vast riches to anyone who moved to the area.
Large numbers of people moved to San Francisco and the surrounding areas to claim their piece of the windfall. The population increase sky-rocketed their land values and provided an abundant and cheap labor force to extract more gold. The burgeoning San Francisco skyline was a direct result of the inverted skyscrapers that were the mines in the Sierra Foothills.
The gold from these mines literally financed this urban prosperity. It was unbelievably lucrative for a select few. The immediate collateral effects of the whole process were the devastated farmlands (including wine country) in the Delta. Flooding was so common that the region became a shallow extension of the San Francisco Bay for much of the year. Ships could barely navigate the mud-choked waters of the once pristine Bay.
Environmental Implications and the End of Hydraulicking
Forests were cut down with alarming efficiency to build flumes to divert rivers. Because almost all the trees surrounding the rivers and creeks in the Sierra Foothills were cut down, the banks were not properly supported. This contributed to the regular inundations downstream. In one exceptionally bad year, the newly elected mayor of Sacramento had to travel by boat to his inauguration.
The majority of the trees in the Tahoe area today are less than 150 years old. The old-growth was decimated during the Gold Rush.
Huge amounts of debris from constant hydraulicking filled riverbeds and caused flooding in Delta farmlands that worsened every year. Viticultural production in Lodi was adversely affected during these years.
This boom cycle continued until January 7, 1884 when Judge Lorenzo Sawyer of the Ninth Circuit Court outlawed the practice of hydraulicking. He declared that the impact of hydraulicking on the natural environment was undeniable. Political pressure from agricultural interests in the Delta and the Central Valley was also a factor. However, the most powerful objection to hydraulicking came from the U.S. Navy. They could barely reach Mare Island Naval Base through the clogged waterways.
The Bust, Prohibition, and Post-Prohibition Years
One of the defining periods in California's history had ended and the economic repurcussions were massive. The town of Fiddletown is an example of the impact of the mining bust. Once a vibrant trading center, the population dwindled significantly after Judge Sawyer's ruling.
Because wine country in the Sierra Foothills was isolated from the rest of the state, planted vineyards in the region largely avoided the devastation caused by the Phylloxera Louse at the end of the nineteenth century. Because of this, there are some exceptionally old vines still alive in the foothills today.
However, this isolation coupled with the disintigration of the local market for wine (no more miners) had a severe impact on the wine industry. When Prohibition became law, only the Fossati-Lombardo Winery retained its bond to produce wine for local churches. The wine industry in the Sierra Foothills fell even further into oblivion in the decades immediately following the repeal of Prohibition. Even Fossati-Lombardo Winery was forced to shut its doors.
The Delta weathered these years more successfully. In the years after the Gold Rush, many of the growers in Lodi began to form wine producing co-ops to deal with the changing times. These arrangements were largely successful for several decades.
After Prohibition was enacted, Lodi Wine Country continued to produce grapes for home winemakers through the Volstead Act. Heads of household were legally allowed to make a limited amount of wine for personal consumption. The proximity of logistical routes to Lodi made the business quite profitable.
The Flame Tokay and Zinfandel varietals were shipped all over the country, often east of the Rocky Mountains. Cesare Mondavi (father of Robert and Peter) came to Lodi from Northern Italy in the 1920s. He began his career in the wine industry by shipping grapes to the East Coast during Prohibition.
The Renaissance Wine Country in the Delta and Sierra Foothills
By the 1950s, 7 major Lodi co-ops encompassed more than 600 independent growers. However, problems with this business model began to arise. All the co-ops except East-Side were eventually bought by major wine production and distribution corporations. This is the basis for the current domination of big business in Lodi Wine Country. The region has only partly emerged from the jug wine era. Lodi is instrumental in producing grapes for White Zinfandel. That being said, there are many high-quality, limited-quanity wines from the AVA.
Wine production in Clarksburg began in 1968 when Warren and Chris Bogle planted 20 acres of vineyards in the region. The AVA's wine industry has grown considerably since then and currently has a reputation for producing some of the best Chenin Blanc in the United States.
Greg Boeger bought the old Fossati-Lombardo Winery in 1973 and established the first Post-Prohibition Winery in the Sierra Foothills. Since then, the region has steadily grown, and has recently planted a significant amount of Rhone and Cal-Italian varietals. Zinfandel remains the region's specialty.
The Sierra Foothills and Delta have played an extremely important role in shaping modern California. Although these regions are often thought of as peripheral, they are largely responsible for the population and financial foundation that the Golden State rests on today.

About The Author

Benjamin Bicais lives in the Napa Valley and is the webmaster of http://www.california-wine-tours-and-accessories.com.

I was going to write a proper post about Neti Pots and other methods for clearing the sinuses tonight, but Hubby and I had to go grocery shopping before the weekend hits. We'll be going on a benefit motorcycle ride tomorrow and I'll be speaking at church about my writing on Sunday. The church talk will be my first official public engagement wherein I'll be talking about my Greenville series. While I'm on the cycle tomorrow, I'll be mentally organizing my talk. 'Bout time I did that, don't you think?

Next Saturday (not tomorrow), Hubby and I will be attending the Nine Inch Nails concert. It's only the sixth date on the band's Lights in the Sky Over North America tour. I can hardly believe that day is almost here.

Okay, bedtime. Daughter is hinting that she wants to use the laptop. Goodnight!

Jam 8 pagi ini, alarm hape kesayanganku berbunyi. Akupun bergegas menuju pintu (lho kok?).

Duh pake alasan apa ya minggu depan klo ditanyain?

Familiar with the name "Francis O'Neill"? The current wave of interest in Celtic music owes him a great debt -- he's the person who collected and published the music for thousands of Celtic tunes, making them available to musicians all over the world.
O'Neill was born in 1848 in Ireland. When he was 16, he emigrated to the United States. During his life, he was a rancher, a teacher, a Chicago policeman, and fathered ten children. He also played the flute!
O'Neill (also known as "Chief O'Neill") loved Celtic music. At that time, the music was passed down tune at a time from one musician to another. Little had been written transcribed in written form.
O'Neill did not read music -- he played by ear -- but he became convinced of the value of saving Celtic tunes for prosperity by transcribing them into musical notation for future generations. With the help of a fiddling seargeant in the Chicago police department who did read music, he managed to do so. He would play the tunes he had learned from other musicians; the sergeant would transcribe them into musical notation.
By the time O'Neill died in 1936, he had collected and transcribed nearly 3,500 tunes -- many of them dating back hundreds and hundreds of years!
He eventually published eight books -- including the now classic "The Music of Ireland". This book is still easily available in most bookstores. This book alone provides notation for 1,850 tunes! (Note: You can find these transcriptions for free at http://www.freesheetmusic.net !)
Noel Rice offers this comment that illustrates O'Neill's contribution: "He recalled reading about some boys who would sit at the feet of an old musician, thinking they were learning the music the way generations before them had. "And this old man," he said, "was playing these lovely Irish tunes right out of O'Neill's book."

About The Author

Joey Robichaux rides the Road Warrior circuit and has been playing some sort of musical instrument for the past way-too-many years!

Chances are you have been on the Internet and have been surfing in and out of websites looking for valuable information pertaining to a favorite topic or researching a subject for school or work. As you type in keyword(s) you match the information you are searching for on Google, you come up with 10,000 pages of information. It’s virtually impossible to go through every one, so you refine your search by adding more exclusive keywords. Voila the number of pages reduces to around 1,000. Still this is a lot of pages, but you start looking through the information to find what you want.
As you go through the first 10 links on the page, WHAM! The information you needed to find was in the first or second in order of PageRank. You wonder how did they get such a high rank on Google? You may think it was very expensive to get that site at the top of the heap. The funny thing is, with a little know how and about $75 you too can go for the top.
Search Engine Optimization or “SEO”, has become a standard in the web design industry, every customer of a good web designer wants to be number one in their keyword and may be willing to pay the extra money to get there. A good web designer will dress up a web sites home page to match the requirements of their client on specific keywords. The client will also pay more for the exclusivity to remain there untouched. SEO has become a niche for a lot of web companies. They know if they can get the company to the top fast, the word of mouth will be helpful toward their business.
Through specialized META tags (hidden group of keywords) the web designer will strategically place keywords multiple times in the title bar, keywords, and even as hidden text. Some search engines have figured these tricks of the trade out and have banned certain websites from their indexes. Google has become the engine of choice for a lot of people today. There is a different logic Google uses to calculate page rank and keywords is only a portion of it.
Google actually uses a specialized mathematical equation to place your site in a predetermined order. First things first, if your website is a keyword, that does not automatically give you a top spot. It will take time to move up the ranks and you should register with Google as soon as possible to drive your rank upwards. But just having the right URL (Universal Resource Locator) doesn’t guarantee the top spot either. You must also be swapping or reciprocating links with other Google users. The more you use Google websites that are indexed the faster and higher your site will go in the ranks.
A Google robot will visit your site frequently so continue to modify your code and keep checking its rank and status. Eventually, your site will drive up the ranks and land on top. It may take time and work, but you will get the hang of keeping it there once you employ the right mix of keywords with links. Some companies can charge up to $1,000 for the top spot, they employ the same techniques, even though they don’t want you to know this. Keep your META tags, title, keywords and content in line with your keywords and continuously look to optimize them. Under no circumstances take another persons keywords off of their code; this is potentially dangerous as you could be violating copyright laws.
Good Luck!!!

About The Author

Jakob Jelling is the founder of http://www.sitetube.com.

Take the test - - are you ready for a relationship?
Most singles are seeking a committed relationship and date with that goal in mind. Many are not ready for commitment for a variety of reasons, but they don't want to be alone, and so they date to find a partner anyway. When their dating strategy doesn't align with their readiness status, these singles unconsciously set themselves up for failure, complicating their lives and those of their dating partners.
Just because you want something doesn't necessarily mean you're ready for it. Many variables can interfere with your readiness for a committed relationship with someone you meet, such as being involved with someone else, going through a divorce, financial trouble, career demands, family obligations, physical health challenges, or mental/emotional health challenges such as addictions, depression, or anxiety disorders.
It would be a tragedy to meet your soul mate and not be ready for them. Getting involved in a relationship before you are ready can create a shaky foundation of unfinished business that eventually brings a relationship crashing down.
To assess your readiness for a committed relationship, rate yourself in each of the following ten areas. Try to be objective and honest with yourself. We recommend asking close friends and family members for their opinions as well.
READINESS REVIEW FOR SINGLES
Rating Scale: Rate each item on a scale from 0 to 10
8-10: This area of my life is strong and would be an asset to my next relationship
5-7: This area needs work, but most likely would not sabotage my next relationship
0-4: This area could interfere with the success of my next relationship
1.I KNOW WHAT I WANT
I have a clear vision for my life and relationship. I can envision my perfect life in rich detail that feels strong, very real, and keeps me motivated.
2.I KNOW MY REQUIREMENTS
I have a written list of at least ten non-negotiable requirements that I use for screening potential partners. I am clear that if any are missing, a relationship will not work for me.
3.I AM HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL BEING SINGLE
I enjoy my life, my work, my family, my friends, and my own company. I am living the life that I want, and I am not seeking a relationship out of desperation and need.
4.I AM READY AND AVAILABLE FOR COMMITMENT
I have no emotional or legal baggage from a previous relationship. My schedule, commitments and lifestyle allow my availability to build a new relationship.
5.I AM SATISFIED WITH MY WORK/CAREER
My work is fulfilling, supports my lifestyle, and does not interfere with my availability for a new relationship.
6.I AM HEALTHY IN MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT
My physical, mental, or emotional health does not interfere with having the life and relationship that I want. I am reasonably happy and feel good.
7.MY FINANCIAL AND LEGAL BUSINESS IS HANDLED
I have no financial or legal issues that would interfere with having the life and relationship that I want.
8.MY FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS ARE FUNCTIONAL
My relationships with my children, ex, siblings, parents, and extended family do not interfere with having the life and relationship that I want.
9.I HAVE EFFECTIVE DATING SKILLS
I initiate contact with people I want to meet, and disengage from people who are not a match for me. I keep my physical and emotional boundaries, and balance my heart with my head with potential partners.
10.I HAVE EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIP SKILLS
I understand relationships, can maintain closeness and intimacy, communicate authentically and assertively, negotiate difference positively, allow myself to trust and be vulnerable, and can give and receive love without emotional barriers.
RESULTS: Add up your scores to determine your relationship readiness:
80-100: GREEN Light: You are well on your way to the life and relationship you really want
50-79: YELLOW Light: Continue to work on the areas needed and take it slow in relationships
0-49: RED Light: Take a break from seeking a partner, focus on your life and prepare for the relationship that you really want
NOTE: We suggest that ANY area rated 0-4 result in a "Red Light" and that you consider taking a break from seeking a partner until that area is improved.
You may freely post this article as long as a) it is posted in its entirety; b) you provide a link back to http://www.consciousdating.com; and c) you do not post on an adult-content site.

About The Author

David Steele, MA, is the founder of the Relationship Coaching Institute and a pioneer in working with singles.

I once heard the story of a grown bear that lived in a cage and traveled with a circus ever since he was a small cub. The bear spent everyday of his life pacing back and forth in his cage while countless spectators looked on. When the bear’s keepers were not looking some of the spectators would poke the bear with sharp sticks or would throw pieces of food filled with broken glass into the cage. When the great bear would eat what he thought was a wonderful treat, the broken glass would cut the inside of his throat and stomach.
One day a wealthy animal-lover visited the circus and saw the harmful acts committed against the bear. Because he felt great compassion for animals he approached the circus about purchasing the bear. He explained that he would take the bear and place him in a large open area. In this area the bear would have cool pools of water to play in and lush grassy fields to run. The circus agreed to sell the bear to the man and set up a delivery date.
When the day arrived for the bear to be delivered everyone was anxious to see what would happen when the door of the cage was opened for the first time. To everyone’s amazement, when the cage was opened, the bear did what he spent every day of his life doing. He simply paced back and forth the length of the cage. The bear didn’t even seem to care that the cage door was open. Finally, the bear’s keepers got the bear outside the cage and rolled it away. What they saw next shocked everyone.
The bear looked around at his new beautiful home. He looked at the cool pools of water and the lush green pastures. Then to everyone’s surprise and disappointment, the bear began his pacing. Back and forth he would go – as in an imaginary cage. Eventually he had to be put to sleep because he could not function in his beautiful new home.
I hope and pray that you are not living a life like the bear described above. I heard a quote recently that went something like this, “Don’t let your past dictate who you are, but do let it influence who you become.” It is a well-known fact: Life is not always fair. Therefore, I am of the opinion that when life turns up the heat what you F.O.C.U.S. on helps you make it through the day a winner. My good friend, Robert Mallon, explains it this way, “The longer we look at God the smaller our obstacles become. The longer we look at the obstacles the smaller God becomes. The question is whether we want a BIG God or a big enemy. It is just a matter of perspective.”
When life becomes unfair what do you focus on? The principles below are basic, but will powerfully help you when you are struggling to keep a positive outlook.
F - Fun. Set yourself a goal to have fun every day. Make it intentional. Put it on your calendar. Do whatever it takes – just have fun.
O – Organized. When life becomes unfair we can begin to let things pile up. Things like emails and phone calls to reply to, deadlines at work, laundry, yard work, etc. In other words, a cluttered life will bring about a cluttered mind. Or is that the other way around? Either way, as much as possible, keep your day-to-day activities as organized as possible.
C - Care for others. One of the best ways to forget how much you are hurting is to focus on how you can help others. Getting your eyes off yourself, and on to how you can help others, will boost your positive outlook on life.
U – You. When you are going through tough times it is very important to keep a good diet, workout routine, and sleep habits. This will help keep your mind clear and your energy up. Remember, God loves you and He does not make junk.
S – Successes. Not only should you plan to have fun everyday, but also you should plan to succeed. You might have to tell yourself to be on the lookout for successes in your day, but when you have one, (even a little one) celebrate. A recent rollerblading trip was an example of this in my life. My goal was to “blade” around this paved course (up and down, left and right) without falling. I looked like an elephant on skates, but when I made it to the finish line I was ecstatic! I accomplished my goal and lived to tell about it.
Life is not always fair. Deaths, sickness, career changes, and struggles are going to occur. Just remember to keep your focus and to hold tight to the hand of God. When times are tough, He will carry you to the end.

Footprints and Monuments is a free monthly leadership and motivational e-newsletter.

Hello readers. I have spent several days trying to come up with a week long theme. I was going over all the questions that have been asked to me personally, on this site and even topics that I have talked about. After much deliberation, I have decided to do "SEX WEEK!" Now before people start flipping out on me SEX WEEK is not a way for men to discover new ways on how to get women to have sex with them. During this week (which I have not decided yet which week it will be) I will make a new post everyday. The posts would be me answering questions, talking about topics, or asking you the readers questions and all of the posts will be related to sex. I will also not be the only one, I have gathered a couple close friends that have a fair amount of knowledge about sex as well and will offer their opinions on each post. This way both the female and male sides can be heard. With that said, I will ask a favor of you my readers. I will be thinking of topics for SEX WEEK but in order to make it more for you readers, I would like to hear some topics or questions that you would like to be discussed. Remember the commenting system is completely anonymous and no one will know who you are. So please feel free to ask questions or suggest sex related topics. I cant wait to hear from you readers.

“Possible Germany” rings in my ear as I ride out of Dessau on a bus through what looks l

"Possible Germany" rings in my ear as I ride out of Dessau on a bus through what looks like Ernest Callenbach's Ecotopia. Windmills turning, wheat blowing in the breeze, my socks still wet from the night before I have time to think...It always amazes me how music can be the tonic to heal wounded ears of too much music. "Possible Germany" isn't a suggestion this day, it's a fact.

Rewind 3 days and I'm on the same bus, this time with no music but only the anticipation of 3 days of music to come. Almost 10 years since I've slept in a wet tent backstage at a show and I wonder if it's as brutal and fun as I remember it. My credentials are ready and a kind bus driver drops me right off at the Production office where they set me up with a tent and directions to the Presse Tent. Game on...only 2 hours to spare before its time to sport my gear (almost 40 pounds worth) and make some art and try to stop time.

After nesting a little in the Presse Tent with my bone dry locker (sehr wichtig) and a handful of new friends and strangers I headed out to scout the grounds, find all the gates my "freund" bracelet and Presse pass would get me (pretty much everywhere but up a coal digger...which I found my way up anyway) and timed how long it would take me to get from stage to stage. This last excersice was futile after the earth turned deep brown and slippery and kiddies in their funky shades clogged the arteries.

It's hard to figure how best to re-cap all the music so I think I'll just go in order. Perhaps it's natural to start with the "big dogs" first but instead, I will take you through it as I experienced things and, when possible, I'll give you my impression in words as well as megapixels...

To go a little deeper, click on each picture to see the whole set of that band. Or, if you feel like sitting back and seeing the "best of" album, click right here.

Friday...July 18

Markus Kavka kicked things off with beats and an unwavering smile. Not my thing but it was a good way to get the party started.

Fotos was some German indie pop that served as a chance to adjust the white balance on my camera and check the perspective from the pit. The music wasn't so memorable for me...

Lightspeed Champion was the first band that I was psyched to see. Dramatic and melodic the highpoint was the Star Wars anthem and the furry hat.

Late of the Pier had a super high-maintainence sound check but these Brits (i think) threw down, what I can only guess would be, electro pop with a major emphasis on the drums. The crowd went crazy and it was a good, if a little too loud, 3 songs in the pit.

Turbostaat was some German mediocre 'power' rock. I remember it was awful but the boys in the front row wearing Turbostaat shirts and singing every word would probably respectfully disagree. To their credit they were playing in a shit sounding concrete box and that could have been a factor in my disatisfaction.

My new photog friend Adrian said that he "wasn't sure why these guys aren't famous yet'" and I pondered that thought as the bass drum layed down a new rhythm for my heartbeat during soundcheck. The smoke machine was annoying and the music wasn't super memorable...

This guy surprised me a little and I found myself liking his 'doo-wop-vegas-indie-folk-jewish-pop' more than I would have expected. He's one of those guys that, even if you don't like the music, you cant help but smile when he and his back up singers do their thing. Funny but nice.

I was aiming for Burger/Voigt but caught Tobias Thomas instead. He had this pharmaceutical mellow thing going that would have been nice to stay with for a bit had I had a couch to sit on.

Kate Nash sounds exactly the same live as she does on FM4 but the lack of imagination in her "KATE NASH" visuals and her kind of late-lazy stage show made me like her a little bit less. The pouring rain could have also been a factor in the overall lackluster performance but im pretty sure it was her.

Gui Boratto was cute but, if i'm being honest, DJ's can start to sound the same to me after a little while

I first heard Modeselektor on a iTunes playlist assembled by Thom York. I liked it then and I liked it live...these were the only DJ's I heard with the ability to make people dance like animals instead of robots. Fucking awesome.

The Editors reminded me a little bit of "Live" but I think it had more to do with the lead singers voice than with the actual sound of the band. They had a huge draw and a big sound and, though it wasn't something I would go and seek out, they were good.

Ellen Allien had too many difficulties for me to stick around. This was shot around 3am and I had one gig left to shoot...

Robyn was new to me but clearly not new to the stage. Both diva and pimp, she was like a sizzling Swedish gangster with the soul of Pat Benetar. Highlights of her set were covers of Snoop Dogs "Sexual Eruption," Salt n Pepa's "Push It," and what I think was a Prince cover of "I'll Jerk You Off." If I get the chance to see her again, I will.

Saturday...July 19

Sleep came but didn't stay. After about 4 hours it was time to wander the grounds and watch Melt wake up. After some festival food it was time to park myself in the tent and edit some photos before heading out to do it again. Storm warnings and terrential rain put a damper on things (sorry about that) and the mud come out in full effect.

The first act was a German guy named Peter Licht. I forget exactly what it was that I thought at the time but I think it was along the lines of "emo-german-college-pop." Boring but he did get the rainbow so you have to give him that at least.

Twisted Wheel wasn't on the bill but found their way to the mainstage for a short set. Out of Manchester and into Ferropolis....aside from the nice light, I don't remember what their deal was.

After a few songs Dirk arranged a crane tour for us and we headed up one of the 5 major coal digging machines that is Ferropolis. Surreal and scary, I couldn't help but wonder what kind of noise they made when they were unearthing coal and rocks. No doubt they were far louder than any of the noise we were making with our rock and roll. Click on the picture below to see some of this awesome and rustic metal.

Melt by Day

Melt by Night

Ok ok, I got off track a little but after the tour of the big rigs it was time to rock (mostly work) until the sun came up.

Cobblestone Jazz was another DJ thing but live, synthesized vocals and groovier beat was interesting

Fujiya Migawi surprised me with their lack of Japanese-ness but I loved the their sound. A little listen on MySpace confirmed that I liked what I heard and I hope I get to see them again one day.

The Notwist is geekier than all hell but also pretty brilliant. Their set built really slow but after the 4th song they hit a stride and their subdued and melodic sound had some momentum. Not so fun to shoot but they made up for it with the music.

This scary and disgusting dude is called Rummelsnuff. The kind of stereotypical shit that somebody might think would still be happening in Germany. He sings of power and strength and other shit that makes the National nazi-types happy while his oiled body makes the homosexuals happy. His ability to bring these two unlikely groups together seems to be part of his novelty but after 5 clicks of the shutter I got the fuck out of there before the little bit of barf in my throat needed to find its way out.

Franz Ferdinand is so slick and such a well oiled machine that they feel like less of a rock band and more like a vegas act but that didnt stop me from loving every second of their set. They are fucking awesome...and lots of fun to take photos of. Go on, click the pic and take a peek.

Roisin Murphy is such a sexy bitch that its crazy. 3 costume changes during the first 3 songs with the entire stage serving as her own personal cat walk. The music was alright but her stage show was amazing. I would have loved to have photographed the whole set. This is another set that you should take a closer look at if you're inclined.

Another sleepless night and another day to work, fortunately all my shows for the last day were on the same stage so I only had to scoot out from the press tent between rain showers and acts. I spent the day kicking it with the other photogs, you come to know one another after 3 days of working in the rain.

July...Sunday 19

Los Campesinos had a lot going on with the xylophones, horns and things. Lots of draw for an early show and a sound somewhat derivative of angsty Arcade Fire and insecure but happy Magic Numbers.

Neon Neon's set was a tribute, maybe homage, to the man who built the Dolorian. Birth was uninteresting but Dreaming was memorable and the old school Casio 'hand clap' brought back memories of mine and my sister's dabbling with our own keyboard many years ago. It got some weird Rusted Root-esque percussion that turned me off towards the end but by then it was time to go anyway...

Get Well Soon is another example of an Arcade Fire want-to-be but, honestly, they are doing it. They are good with the big crecendos and atmospheric rock and, though a little annoying to watch, I liked the sound.

the only word for the Battles are awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome

I didn't know that I knew Hot Chip until I heard the song about the monkey with a miniature symbol. Damn, that song has a way of staying in my head and running circles. This band saw the biggest crowd of the whole weekend, even trumping Bjork, which surprised me. They were good but throughout the whole set I was wondering whether or not I was going to be one of the lucky few photographers shooting Bjork...

As it turned out, she decided that she didnt want any Press or Photographers in front for her show. Her Management requested a list of media and picked about 10 photographers to cover the pit...I was one of them.

Bjork is more of a life force then a singer...her performance gave me goose bumps and I only wish that I hadn't been freezing my ass off and suffering from massively cramped hands during her set. By the time these shots were taken I had been working for almost 3 days straight, sleeping for less then 8 hours and shooting what amounted to be about 600 photographs. Believe it or not, I even managed to have a little fun, eject two fucking drunkards (literally, 2 drunk people fucking) from my tent and make a few new friends. This re-cap marks the end of Melt and I hope you enjoyed the pix.

Learn How To Get Inspired and Where To Find It

Words of inspiration lift the spirit

Learn How To Get Inspired and Where To Find It
-Isabella Gladd

Words of inspiration lift the spirit, boost morale and nudge you in the direction you want to go. No two people are inspired quite the same way, and what inspires is as unique as the sound of your laughter. No two people are inspired quite the same way. One person’s inspiration may come from reading a book, poem or quote. Another may be inspired by music, the sound of children’s laughter or silence that encourages reflective thinking. If you feel uninspired and long to rekindle the glowing coals of your life into a roaring fire, try using the following tips. Let a few words of inspiration sink in as you ponder the possibilities of living an inspired life.

What is Inspiration?
The American Heritage Dictionary defines inspiration as, “stimulation of the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity.” Who doesn’t want to be inspired and experience heightened emotions and the joyful sense of satisfaction from achieving? Without inspiration, innovative ideas have no chance of taking flight; in fact, they fail to exist. As the pressures of mundane existence consume most of our time, we might let some earlier dreams or goals go by. In this quote, Eliot speaks to his reader’s doubts and assures them that it’s never too late to turn around and rediscover your dreams.

Get Inspired
One can only be inspired if one is willing to take action and seek inspiration. Like the Nike ad that insists, “Just do it,” pushing yourself and taking action gets results. Ask yourself this question, “How do I get inspired?” Think of past inspirational moments. What were you doing? Where were you? Was anyone with you? Inspiration can come from almost anywhere, at any time and often from unlikely sources. From pushing yourself to run that extra quarter mile in the morning to working towards a goal of starting your own business, words of inspiration can be the catalyst that gives you the courage to make it happen.

Find Inspiration
If you are wondering where to find inspiration, you can find it everywhere you look. For some people, inspiration comes after reading a book; for others, seeing an exquisite sunset can inspire them. Inspiration may come to you while taking a shower or jogging down the road while most of the world still sleeps. An inspiring speech may move you to take action or you may discover that it was right there in front of you the whole time.

Take the quiz: "Are You Living Your Life to the Fullest?"

Find Inspiration Within You
The world within you is too often untapped due to lack of time and the demands of others. Find some time each day to ponder you and all that you are and wish to be. Journal, meditate, go for a walk alone. Create a space for yourself where you can be alone with your thoughts. Perhaps a chair and small table with a lamp on it in the corner of your bedroom can be your quiet place. Convert a spare room into a room of your own. An attic or garret presents a perfect place to ponder. A bench outside that allows you the freedom to just be for a short while will give you time and space to find out what inspires you.

Invite Inspiration
When inspiration becomes elusive, invite it back in to your life. Women become so overwhelmed with work, husband, children and doing for others that losing the definition of who you are creates angst and resentment. Losing inspiration for doing the things that bring joy and excitement in life is like breaking off a piece of your heart.

Before you reclaim the lost inspiration, you must allow yourself to be inspired. You need to get out of the everyday rut and back into life. Demand time to wander. Go to a movie, sit at a beach, dance, sing, laugh or play. Too many times, women feel a constant tug from different directions, leaving nothing for them to claim as their own. Unless you allow yourself to be inspired, inviting it in will do no good.

Inspiring Words
Words can take the most stoic person’s breath away. Beautiful, haunting words can inspire people to do all sorts of unexpected things. Find a short inspirational quote and turn it into your mantra for success and motivation. Like a continuous small treat, words of inspiration constantly reassure when feelings of doubt enter the mind and soul. Read your word treat every day as an affirmation to find inspiration and live a fuller life.

Stake Your Inspiration Claim
When words of inspiration fail to spark the proper feeling, it’s time to head out the door and into the world. Take a walk through a park, sip on coffee at a café and watch people or even go to a movie. Just being outdoors and indulging your senses can revive you. Before you know it, the well that seemed dry refills with life experiences and you feel exhilarated.

Benefit From Inspiration
An inspired person is a motivated person who takes action. The benefit from being inspired comes with moving in a direction that you wish to go. The inspiration to paint a picture, write a book, move to Paris or start your own business puts the wheels in motion. Whether your achievement touches only you or millions of others, you will feel a true sense of self and wonderment at the journey.

Carl Jung thought about a benefit of being inspired that you may not have considered,” Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their environment and especially their children than the unlived life of the parent.” Think of the pride your child and family exhibit when you achieve your heart’s desire or goals. It’s a spine-tingling moment when a child tells a parent how proud she is of her mom.

Inspiration, like a lover, makes people shiver with anticipation and delight in the adventure. That “a-ha” moment brings a smile to the face and suddenly the world seems less daunting. It’s a great way to feel!

Whether the inspiration came from people watching, stopping to really see the beauty of a flower or from words of inspiration, it’s been discovered. Once you become inspired, hold fast to what inspired you and why.

So after like ten billion years, I finally went for another facial at Leonard Drake again, cause I t

So after like ten billion years, I finally went for another facial at Leonard Drake again, cause I think they're really professional.

The prices have gone up a bit tho since ten billion years ago, cause my facial back then costed a frigging RM150 but now they same facial costs a frigging frigging RM200 wtf damn expensive ok.

Anyhuu I signed up for some package thingy cause I thought it was damn worth it and it was like the cheapest package they have and the only one I could afford huuhuu.

(You also get 10% off all services)

The facial itself was O.M.G. superduperly good. There were like 2 masks, a half body massage (which made me giggle cause damn ticklish *omg damn jakun*) and the works, and I loved every minute of it except for the extraction bit which literally made me cry.

After the extraction the lady showed me all my gross blackheads and omg it was damn disgusting cause damn A LOT ok.

I definitely need to go for facials regularly.

$_$

Anyway I used the product voucher from the package to get a month's supply of a detoxifying veg drink thingy as it contains probiotics which is supposed to be good for people with crappy intestinal flora and fauna like mine.

RM128 for 30 sachets:

Except that it causes diarrhoea which is not good for malnourished skinny kids like me.

Used the voucher to get this RM50 tiny bottle of essential oil (as if my face doesn't produce enough oil lidat):

Whatever.

I emerged from Leonard Drake with glorious translucent glowing skin feeling all refreshed and sparkling.

And then stupid Alfred had to ajak us to Bar Celona wtf. Like that's totally the last place I wanna go right after a facial ok.

But anyway I went cause I wanted to meet up with Lilin Bilin's white coloured boyfriend hoho.

I really salute the person who came up with such a gimmicky name. Like at first when someone said he was going to Bar Celona I thought they meant Barcelona itself. As in the real city in Spain wtf.

Getting everyone in was a big mess cause Alfred brought along like 8 or 10 of his friends and then we had to like count how many bottles we had to open to get everyone in. And then everyone had to like line up and go in together wtf like Toot-Toot train only.

Yah and I finally got to meet Robin.

Too bad so sad he forgot to invite Batman wtf.

Hi Robin I know you're reading this!

Lilin Bilin has big boobies!

(Uh, Robin, what are you doing?)

Despite the bar.club.lounge.whatever being a rather happening place, we just weren't in the mood to be happening. We were more like in a mamak mood so we ended up just sitting around and chatting.

LOL @ Lilin Bilin's Monster Cute Face:

It was damn funny ok cause you know lah Robin is like this so-called posh angmoh from London and you know lah we all Malaysians speak damn ciplak with our 'lah' and 'ma' and whateverlah.

So we duely made fun of his accent and forced him to read out stuff like "Kari kepala ikan" and "Semangat bermasyarakat" and "Seksi gila babi hutan kalimantan" wtf HOHOHO so cute ah!

No my face is NOT bigger than his!

Anyways, I felt quite bad for practically ignoring Alfred's friends and all but I'm damn scared of alcohol already lar. No more drinking this month!

Oh, and the ultimate insult came from Robin when Lynn asked him if he actually understood what I was saying, and he went

Yes, I understand her.

But what she says doesn't make sense.

BABI!

Yar and around 1am the 5 of us dumped Alfred and his kaki to go chit-chat at McD's about our good ol schooling days.

Sigh, I miss Seafield!
