Check out www.CHPHMinistries.com and www.CHPHProductions.com to see them.

Also a couple of weeks ago i was in Nashville for a Sons of Thunder conference at a school that i am a graduate of. It was totally AWESOME! I got to hang around Rick Pino and Richie Clark of Radiant Worship all weekend long! Rick Pino gave us all free cds! Also way cool people like James Ryle and Ray Hughes were there too. Ray Hughes affectionately calls me "Arkansas boy." Okay, well maybe not affectionately, but i like to pretend so. I'm just honored that he always knows and remembers where i'm from. lol. I will be posting pictures as soon as i can get my hands on them. It was cool that some of the alumni got to go back and play for the conference. I love that place.

And the coolest part of all is that God met me there and totally rocked my face off and met me in new and more intimate ways than i have ever experienced before. It was the most wonderful feeling ever. I was buzzing for several hours after God met with me. Wow it was good. God is good, Christ is beautiful, and i love life.

WINDSOR ROTARY TO DEDICATE SHERM CARTER MEMORIAL PAVILION

WINDSOR — The Windsor Rotary Club will dedicate a large covered pavilion in memory of the late Sherman A. Carter on Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m. at the Windsor Fairgrounds. The dedication will be the highlight of several events planned to kick off the opening of the Fairgrounds for the spring and summer season. Refreshments will be served following the dedication ceremonies and the public is welcome to attend.

Rotary District Governor Christopher Patterson is scheduled to speak along with Assistant District Governor Phil Hammond and his wife Gloria of the White River Junction Rotary Club and Windsor Recreation Director Harry Ladue. The dedication will mark the construction of the Sherman A. Carter Memorial Pavilion at the fairgrounds, along with new picnic tables, two cast iron and steel cookers set in concrete bases, and newly refurbished stone fireplaces.

Carter, a longtime Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow in the club, died last August. His family has also decided to dedicate some of the funds left over that were donated in his memory to expand the playground equipment at the Fairgrounds. Two "double climbers" will be installed at the fairgrounds, according to Rotary Club President Ted Hilles.

Nick Carter, a principal with his father in Carter & Carter Builders, designed the Pavilion which will accommodate picnic tables inside and provide shelter from both the sun and the rain. All the materials for the Pavilion were donated.

"The project was started in phases," Hilles explained. Phase I was the Rotary District Grant that the club applied for and received to match funds raised by the club for the new picnic tables, the stone fireplace repair and the grills; Phase II was the Pavilion, and Phase III is the additional playground equipment.

"It’s really going to be a spectacular Rotary event on May 17," he said.

(Cape May, NJ) You may have missed these films the first time around, but now you get a rare second

(Cape May, NJ) You may have missed these films the first time around, but now you get a rare second chance to see them. The Cape May Film Society is taking five of Hollywood's greatest films out of hiding with a five-part series called "Buried Treasures" with featured presenter JC Stinson.

Cape May's favorite Hollywood actor and screenwriter, Stinson has selected these classics to bring to the big screen with lively discussion to follow. The program will run five consecutive Saturdays beginning May 31 and ending June 28, all at Cape May Elementary on Lafayette Street. The films begin at 7:00 p.m. For more information, contact the Film Society at 609-884-6700.

Stinson says, "These are great films that went unnoticed or in some cases have been forgotten. The reason might be that they were small films or difficult to categorize, but these movies have reputations that only get stronger over time. None of them fit a particular stereotypical mold, and people who have seen them think of them as instant classics."

"We look forward to extending this type of programming out in the community," says Annie Mullock, Events Director for the Film Society. "That's why we're hosting this program at the elementary school-it's at the heart of this community, and we're honored that they invited us. And with JC Stinson as your host, you know that viewing these films will be both entertaining and informative."

Here are the films:

May 31-Touch of Evil: This mystery is considered to be one of the great movies of Orson Welles, who both directed and starred in it with Janet Leigh and Charlton Heston.

June 7-State & Main: David Mamet's seventh feature centers on the havoc wrought on the inhabitants of a small town when a Hollywood film swoops in. Stars William Macy, Alec Baldwin, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

June 14-Sounder: Martin Ritt's big-screen adaptation of William H. Armstrong's Newberry Award winning novel, Sounder stars Cicely Tyson, Paul Winfield, and Kevin Hooks. Sounder was nominated for a variety of Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

June 21-The Boxer: Released after his 14-year prison sentence for IRA activities, 32-year-old Danny Flynn (Daniel Day-Lewis) returns to his old neighborhood and sees former-flame Maggie (Emily Watson), who has an unhappy marriage and now raises her son alone while her husband is in prison.

June 28-Big Night: Primo (Tony Shalhoub) and Secondo (Stanley Tucci) have journeyed from Italy to New Jersey in the mid-1950s, determined to make a killing with an authentic Italian restaurant. Preparations for a big night hosting bandleader Louis Prima present behind-the-scenes family comedy spiked with high drama. Highlighted by a strong supporting cast of Minnie Driver, Isabella Rossellini, and Allison Janney.

The Cape May Film Society hosts the Cape May Film Festival, which is New Jersey's premiere film festival dedicated to the support and presentation of creative, challenging, groundbreaking, film/video works by New Jersey filmmakers. The Society is also the region's leading educational and cultural resource for youth and adult learners interested in all facets of the cinematic experience.

Super Junior Kim Heechul-Kangin Preparing to Transform into Musical Actors in 'Xanadu'

Super Junior's Kim Heechul and Kangin are currently getting ready to transform unconventionally into musical actors.

Kim Heechul and Kangin are waiting to debut through the musical "Xanadu" that will start showing in September. "Xanadu" is a 1980s musical movie starring Gene Kelly and Olivia Newton John, and currently the original work is being performed on Broadway.

"Xanadu," which is the first musical SM Entertainment will be producing, is a work overflowing with charm and filled with the 80s music of synthesizer pop, disco, jazz, and even a big band. Last year SM Entertainment announced their entrance to the musical industry and stated that the casting of "Xanadu" will be broadcasted through a reality show style process.
FINKL's Ock Juhyun, SES' Bada, and recently Big Bang's Seungri all had a good start to their musical

FT Island managed to bring home the “Asia’s Most Popular Artist Award” from Thailand’s music awards, Seed Awards yesterday. I’m not sure how FT Island won that title, especially with so many other k-pop boy-bands going abroad these days, but congrats to the five treasure boys.

And now the ambitious pretty boys are determined to branch out to Japan. FT Island will release their Japanese single on June 7th.

Be happy that at least a kpop artist won or something...they win something big and everyone just complains that this group shouldnt have won or this other group deserved or this other group has the largest fan club they deserve it...omg! get over it! they may not deserve it but they won it somehow didnt they?

For the dbsk fans who are mad that dbsk did not win, are you serious? Dongbang boys have won so many awards how many awards do u want them to have? But the odd thing is that they werent even nominated, thats what i dont get! Are cass. really that worried that dbsk didnt won this ONE BIG TIME AWARD?!! it's just one!

Suju didnt win and i dont care! i wish they would win all the awards they were nominated in but they dont because I KNOW that they dont deserve every award they are nominated in, I DONT EVEN CARE if they even win anything, thats not the point of being an artist...please dont counter argue with me that suju is stupid, they cant sing, they are only "pretty faces", blah, blah, i dont care what u have to say about them, ive heard everything a anti fan can say about them! ^^ FACE the fact, not everyone deserves THAT ONE BIG AWARD! Even the biggest stars but whoever gets it GETS IT!

Several stories have recently appeared in the news about the effects of pharmaceuticals in the water

Several stories have recently appeared in the news about the effects of pharmaceuticals in the water supply. The reported negative impacts include hormone disruption in fish, raising questions about potential impacts on human health. There are concerns about the effects of long term human consumption of these and other chemicals. Household pharmaceuticals can get into the water supply because conventional waste and drinking water treatment does not effectively eliminate most of the pharmaceutical compounds such as endocrine disruptor compounds found in oral contraceptives. Some of these chemicals enter the wastewater system when they are excreted by people who take these drugs. In other cases, chemicals may get into the wastewater when people flush old or unwanted medicine down the toilet. Flushing has been recommended in the past as a way to safely dispose of pharmaceuticals. However, because treated wastewater is released into surface water bodies, chemicals remaining in the effluent may affect wildlife or if the water eventually enters drinking water systems, humans may be affected. Below are two recent examples of how EHSC researchers and community outreach agencies are focusing on studying and eliminating pharmaceuticals in our environment.

It is important to safely dispose of unwanted pharmaceuticals to avoid accidental poisonings by children or others. Flushing them down the toilet is no longer a recommended method of disposal. People are discouraged from simply throwing unwanted medicines in the trash since children might pull them out of the trash, or once in a landfill, these chemicals may eventually seep out in drainage water. The only guidance issued to date by a federal agency regarding the disposal of medications (by consumers and other end users) is the guidance issued in February of 2007 by the White House Office of National Drug Center Policy: www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov/drugfact/factsht/proper_disposal.html. However several states and localities have developed their own approaches to this issue. In Washington State, a coalition of local and state governments, and non-profit organizations, developed a pilot program in which pharmacies took back unwanted medicine, (www.medicinereturn.com). Legislation that would have implemented this program on a statewide basis was introduced in 2007 but has not been passed. The New York State Legislature is also considering a bill (A. 840 http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?bn=a+840) that would regulate the collection and disposal of both prescription and over-the-counter drugs by manufacturers of such drugs. Until such a program is instituted, community collection days may be the safest option (See 'What Can I Do?').

In March 2008, 3rd year Toxicology graduate student Fanny Casado presented a talk called "Endocrine Disruptors with estrogenic activity: Promises and Challenges." The presentation discussed the current widespread use of estrogen-based hormonal therapies that has opened opportunities to do epidemiological studies of the risks and benefits. Endocrine disruptor compounds (EDCs) are defined as chemicals, such as those found in oral contraceptives, that can alter the physiology of endocrine or hormone systems in wild-life and humans. When these chemicals were first introduced, disruptive effects were not fully appreciated. Several different lines of research have elucidated some of the mechanisms of action of these compounds, specifically the ones with estrogenic activity, giving rise to guidelines and restrictions on their use. Despite numerous investigations using in vivo models that provide information about exposure, the relationship between human diseases of the endocrine system and exposure to environmental EDCs is poorly understood.

Action for a Better Community (ABC), an EHSC Community Advisory Board member, teamed up with the Ruth A. Lawrence Poison Control Center, the City of Rochester, Monroe County Department of Environmental Services, and the Center for Environmental Information to take part in the Environmental Protection Agency's Great Lakes Earth Day Challenge on April 19th. This event provided opportunities for people to safely dispose of unwanted medicines as well as electronic waste. Over 55,000 doses of unwanted medicine were collected from 66 people at this event. On June 7th, there will be a free Unwanted Pharmaceuticals Collection from 8:00am-1:00pm at the City of Rochester Water Bureau, 10 Felix Street. For more information about this collection, contact Ted Murray at ABC, 325-5116.

DO NOT FLUSH prescription drugs down the toilet.

Whenever possible, use COMMUNITY PHARMACEUTICAL COLLECTION PROGRAMS.

If this is not possible, follow these instructions:

Remove medicines from their original container.

Take unused, unneeded, or expired prescription drugs out of their original containers.

Put them in a sealable bag or other impermeable, non-descript containers and place in the trash.

Storing expired and unwanted medications in your home increases the risk of accidental poisoning.

Mendler’s next assignment, Camp Fluskis Co., was a forced labor camp in the town of Czarny Dunajec, the location of two companies: Poland Mining and Hobag A. G. Wercke, a lumberyard. He alternated working for them, and commuted to the jobs from his hometown.

At Poland Mining he pulled stones from a river.

“We traveled daily from the ghetto to the mines, working from dawn ‘til dusk. We dug stones up with a shovel and would sort them on screening according to size,” Mendler said.

Hobag A. G. Wercke was a large company headquartered Breslau, Germany. It made pre-fab homes and barracks for concentration camps. Its head was a man named Schmidt.

The commander of Camp Fluskis Co. was a man named Grubel, “a real sadist.”

“He smiled and laughed as his dog bit the feet of the Jews while he sat on a chair and smiled. The dogs tore our pants and bit our legs. This was the punishment for nothing. It was for his entertainment. He always had a whip and expected us to stand up quickly, bow down and take our hats off. Sometimes he smacked us with a whip. It’s not easy being a Jew.”

Mendler described Grubel as a slow walker with bow-legs. He smoked a cigar and wore a Swastika on his coat.

When he arrived home on August 30, 1942, his father was waiting for him.

“Tomorrow we will be relocated at different camps,” he told Mendler.

For Hitler and his clique, it was time for the final solution. They were liquidating the Jewish ghettos all over Europe.

The next morning all the Jewish people in his town were taken to the stadium and divided into three groups.
Older and crippled persons they didn’t want to transport were executed at the Jewish cemetery.

Others were transported to different camps (“really, death camps”), mostly to Belzec. It was convenient that there was a railroad station across the road from the stadium.

“I lost 89 members of my family in one camp, Belzec.”

Belzec had gas chambers, but at this time they used exhaust from diesel trucks to kill the prisoners. It took a long time to kill them, a long time for the women and children to die.

Those able to work, “young people like myself,” remained in town, Mendler said. “I was sorted out because I was fit to work, in the age range of thirteen to fifteen. We remained, and emptied everything we had.”

He was reassigned to the same job he’d already had at Hobag A. G. Wercke. He cut timber, transported it to camp with horses, cut it, dried it, preserved it.

“My body was yellow with preservatives,” Mendler said. He worked side by side with German and Polish workers.

Seven months later he was reassigned to Krakow Koncentration Camp in Plaszow, Poland.

Super Junior's friend, Sun Yao, is missing after the earthquake that occurred in China. Sun Yao was on KBS's "Global Beauty Talk Show" and went on "Kiss the Radio" a few times. She said she was good friends with SJ, especially Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, and Kangin.

Apparently, to write her second book, she took a month off the Global Beauty Talk show to return to China.

On May the 10th, she went to Sichuan. Since the Earthquake was on the 12th, she lost contact with her company.

Her company says that they have no idea whether she's alive or not.

This is too sad to hear. I feel so bad for the people who are missing and are dead. Thousands are dead and there is nothing we can do but just watch them die. This earthquake has affected so many peoples' life and i hate that!!!! >_< i hope the ones who are missing are alive and for sj's friend too. ^^

All—including a 121-ft 360-degree view of the Gallatin Valley (1985)—will be shared with the public in a grand Solstice celebration June 20-21 at the Buck Butterfield arena (11229 Cottonwood Road, south of Bozeman). Further event details will be forthcoming in June. But mark your calendars now!

This major event will require a lot of organization and preparation. Any volunteer time that you could provide would be very much appreciated. Please contact Tina DeWeese at 406-763-4920 or Josh DeWeese at 406-431-5521 (cell) or 406-586-9800 (home).

So I'm on the list-serve for Young Blood (which by the way, is amazing in its new location), and I got an e-mail about "Nest Atlanta - Launch Fiesta." It's in support of the Atlanta debut of Nest. Nest is a non-profit organization that helps women in developing countries by giving them micro-credit loans to start or maintain their own crafty/artsy business. Even better, the function is taking place at 1*Five*0 and Luxe in the BrickWorks Midtown West Development (I have NO idea where or what this is, but I will find out by Sunday, and I'm sure it's super hip and I will also be sure to pretend like I have known about it forever). The event runs from 12 to 6 on Sunday, and there will be "fiesta style food and drinks" according to the YB e-mail. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door.
