MESSAGE #2813 from the Blessed Mother September 14, 2005

 
My daughter, God will continue to open new doors, so be at peace. Be at peace so that you continue to shine your love of knowing Jesus. Persecution is thirst for your soul, so continue to do what God and I are asking of you.

My message at Fatima was that my children must repent and turn to God. If man does not understand these messages, then they are not living the Gospel. All must take heed to the Gospel. All must repent and turn to God. To repent, one must honor and obey God. One must live the Fatima message if they truly want to build their relationship with Jesus. Man must wake up and begin to live, live these messages. All must let go of fear, for these messages are the Fatima message. These messages are tools to help my children so more grow in their faith.

If my children continue to ignore the Gospel, then many more will perish. They will see the fire of hell. I say to my children, sin exists and it is truly, truly darkening the world. Many people live in sin because they are refusing to examine their conscience. Many are not obeying God’s Commandments because they are refusing to live pure and holy lives. I have been warning my children for some time now, yet many mock and laugh at these messages. Many pick and choose which Commandments to obey. Many turn to the world for answers, instead of confiding in God. Prayer and penance are truly needed, for so many are on the wrong path.

Today, I am asking for more prayer. Today, I am asking that each of you pray, pray with me today. The time is drawing closer, so please wake up and respond to all that I am teaching you. Wake up and stay awake, for there is not much time for me to repeat myself. This time will soon end, so begin today by opening your hearts so that God can direct you on this earth. Amen.

2487 Every offense committed against justice and truth entails the duty of reparation, even if its author has been forgiven. When it is impossible publicly to make reparation for a wrong, it must be made secretly. If someone who has suffered harm cannot be directly compensated, he must be given moral satisfaction in the name of charity. This duty of reparation also concerns offenses against another's reputation. This reparation, moral and sometimes material, must be evaluated in terms of the extent of the damage inflicted. It obliges in conscience.

Friday May 13, 2005 Homily by Fr. Robert Altier   Our Lady of Fatima

We recall the great events that took place in Fatima, Portugal back in 1917 as Our Lady appeared to these three little children. She revealed to them several secrets, including, of course, the Second World War and some of the events that would take place as we have only in the last few years had revealed as part of that Third Secret – the things that would take place with the shooting of the Holy Father and the martyrdom of many others.

So as these events that Our Lady spoke of continue to unfold, we have to look even further at what it is that she asked for. She asked that there would be reparation on the First Saturdays for all of the crimes against her Immaculate Heart. She asked that we would do penance and that we would pray the Rosary. It is precisely these things that are needed more than anything in our world today. Of all the things that we can get ourselves involved in, there is nothing more important than prayer and penance. It is only this that is going to bring about a change.

I think Pope John Paul II had demonstrated this very clearly toward the end of his life when he accepted the intense sufferings that God sent him. He showed all of us the dignity of a suffering human being. Sister Lucia did something that was very similar as she just suffered in silence for so many years, showing us once again what it means when Our Lord looks at each one of us as He did at Peter in the Gospel reading today and said, Do you love Me? Then when we say, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love You,” the question is what we are going to do with that. Love, as we know, is demonstrated only in suffering; it is only when we are willing to accept the Cross.

As it said at the end of the Gospel reading when Jesus explained to Peter what was going to happen to him when he got older, Saint John says: This was to signify the kind of death by which he was to glorify God. Now we would look at it and say, “How can that glorify God? It is such an unjust thing!”

But it is precisely because he accepted it and he embraced it and he gave it all to God, and the Lord was glorified in that. So too now for us, to be able to look at this and remember that in that Third Secret as the angel stood with his sword and cried out to the earth, Penance! Penance! Penance! those are the only words that are in that part of the Third Secret that has been revealed. Penance! Penance! Penance! This is what the world needs: People who are willing to accept their share of the Cross, and by this means to glorify God; people who are willing to offer to God their suffering, to be able to unite that with Our Lord’s suffering, and in this way to demonstrate their love.

As Our Lady calls us to prayer and penance, she is asking us also to be able to be like her Son, to suffer even unjustly, to forgive the people who cause the suffering, to be willing to offer it all to God, to give Him glory.

FATIMA......teganya dikau ! Kedatanganmu seperti malam-malam sebelumnya, membuat diriku kehilangan kata-kata dan tak tau mesti berbuat apa. Aku cuma bisa pasrah mengikuti kemauanmu, menikmati malam-malam dingin nan menusuk tulang itu.  

Fatima datang saat pikiranku melayang, meradang dan mulai jenuh. Fatima, mengapa kau datang lagi ? Pergilah menjauh dariku.  Kedatanganmu membuyarkan mimpi indahku bersama si dia nan jauh di sana.

Ohhhh.........Fatima, teganya.....teganya.....teganya dikau. Akibat ulahmu yang tak mau kompromi, segalanya buyar. Semuanya berantakan, kacau, kacau dan kacau.

Oops, tunggu dulu teman. Ini bukan cerita soal kehadiran seseorang yang bernama Siti Fatima, Fatima Suryani, Fatima Mangunwijoyo, Fatima boru Mangunsong, Fatima Sitepu, Fatima Muchtar, Fatima Larasaty, atau Fatima Jengkolnawati.

Ini hanya cerita remeh-temeh soal datangnya serangan, apa yang disebut sohib saya Toga Nainggolan, sebagai penyakit Fayah Tidur Malam (FaTiMa).

Ya.....begitulah, sudah sepekan ini saya merasa sangat terganggu, berat turun lima kilo, kegantengan merosot 10 persen, akibat setiap malam, mata ini baru terpejam paling cepat pada pukul 03.00 dinihari atawa sudah hampir subuh. Cilakanya pada siang hari saya tak pernah bobo bobo siang (BBS), karena lebih suka bersilaturrahmi dengan teman-teman (blogwalking).

Tadi malam, si Fatima juga memberikan serangan hebat. Usai menyaksikan pertarungan Klishcko vs Samuel Peter yang tak berimbang dan membosankan di salah satu tv swasta pukul 00.30 WIB, kucoba memicingkan mata tapi kantuk tak juga datang.

Akhirnya ku melalui malam itu bersama si Fatima ini dengan menonton ulang DVD GodFather-nya Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert de Niro hingga The Killer-nya Chow Yuen Fa. Usai menyimak film-film box office nan melegenda itu barulah aku tertidur di sofa, mungkin sekitar pukul 04.00 WIB.      

Fayah Tidur Malam memang menyakitkan. Beberapa waktu lalu, saya sudah bisa menjauh dari serangan si Fatima yang nakal ini, tapi belakangan ini entah kenapa dia datang.....dan datang lagi.

Atau mungkin kedatangan Fatima, karena akhir akhir ini saya sibuk memikirkan ancaman dampak krisis ekonomi USA, yang kemungkinan akan melanda Indonesia, kali ya ? Heheeee, macam betul aja ! atau karena saya lagi memikirkan seseorang nun jauh di sana. Ahhh......entahlah.

Teman-teman sekalian mungkin punya resep mujarab, buat menghindari FaTiMa. Tolonglah berbagi pengalaman di sini. Please.......monggo

Here are some interesting questions that I raise regarding the event. 

1. Since there are photographs of the various details of the event, just not the object that appeared, we know that there were photographers at Cova da Iria on October 13, 1917. So where are the photographs of the “miracle of the sun”? 

2. Why was the surviving seer, Lucia, whisked off to a convent and essentially silenced? 

3. Why have the revelations or “secrets” of Fatima seemed to have overshadowed the relevancy of biblical scripture? 

4. Why has the testimony of many eyewitnesses who claimed to have seen a disk ignored? 

Since 1917 the events that transpired at Fatima changed the worldview of millions of people. The “Miracle of the Sun” lasted less than half an hour; yet, the event continues to affect millions of people around the world. What I take umbrage with is that the revelations of Fatima—the secrets that I mentioned earlier, especially the third secret—have usurped the Bible as the source for truth, and in its place provided “secrets” that play upon the superstitions and gullibility of the masses. What is interesting is that some of the clergy of the Catholic Church state that the third secret has never been revealed. Although the Pope John Paul II claimed to have read the third secret in 2001, there are those within the church that believe it was not the secret written down by the seer, Lucia. What is more, if this secret is so important to the church, then why was not it read when it was supposed to be in 1960? This is the same sort of deception that catapulted The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown into the limelight. Millions of people who read the book actually believed that the church had hidden some “secret” knowledge and kept it away from the masses. (The book’s premise is that Jesus had a wife, Mary Magdalene, and had sired children, the offspring being the Holy Blood and hidden royalty of Europe.) The fledgling Christian church of almost two thousand years ago had NO secrets. Theirs was an experience that anyone who sought after could get. That experience was one of being regenerated mystically by the power of the living God. Yeshua, or Jesus in the Greek, called it being “born again.”  It is what happened on the feast of Pentecost, in the upper room, in Jerusalem. The spirit descended, as what looked like tongues of fire, on those who were gathered there. That day the worldview of everyone in that room was changed, as the spirit of the living God entered into the son’s of Adam. Up until this time, these men were not spirit filled; in other words, the mystical indwelling of the spirit of the living God had not manifested. When it did on the day of Pentecost, this supernatural event catapulted this group of twelve disciples of Jesus from illiterate fishermen to pillars of the early Christian church, which would eventually evolve into the worldview that shaped the founding of the United States. As I stated in the opening pages of this book,” The current political landscape is in direct correlation to supernatural events that in some cases, happened millennia ago.”

Resumo: A cidade será governada por um partido da base aliada, mas o PT se opôs ao candidato vencedor e perdeu. Lula, se puder contar com Trad, não deve ter um apoio muito efusivo da Prefeitura de Campo Grande em 2010.

Cuiabá

Segundo turno entre Wilson Santos (PSDB) e Mauro Mendes (PR).

Santos quase venceu no primeiro turno, tem tudo para conquistar a Prefeitura em 26 de outubro.

Resumo: Cuiabá deve ter uma Prefeitura tucana em 2010, se opondo ao candidato apoiado pelo PT.

Goiânia

Vitória de Iris Rezende (PMDB).

Situação muito similar à de Campo Grande. Rezende venceu facilmente, derrotando Sandes Júnior (PT).

Resumo: Assim como na capital do Mato Grosso do Sul, a cidade será governada por um partido da base aliada, mas com o PT se opondo ao candidato vencedor e perdendo. Sendo assim, mesmo que Rezende apóie o candidato indicado pelo PT em 2010, não deve ser o maior dos apoios.

Maceió

Vitória de Cícero Almeida (PP).

Mais uma capital que terá, como prefeito, um político da base aliada, mas que, porém, teve de vencer um oponente apoiado pelo PT. Nesse caso, Judson Cabral (PT).

Resumo: Maceió deve ser mais uma cidade onde, se o PT conseguir apoio, não o terá de forma incondicional, já que se opôs ao Prefeito agora em 2008. Embora a popularidade de Lula no Nordeste possa operar alguns "milagres".

Recife

Vitória de João da Costa (PT).

Prefeitura conquistada no primeiro turno pelo PT, derrotando o DEM que vinha com Mendonça.

Resumo: Apoio total da Prefeitura de Recife em 2010 ao candidato do PT.

Natal

Vitória de Micarla (PV).

Uma das derrotas mais relevantes para Lula, afinal, Micarla era apoiada pelo DEM de José Agripino e venceu Fátima, do PT.

Resumo: Lula deve ter a oposição da Prefeitura de Natal, em pleno Nordeste, região onde Lula é mais forte,  ao seu candidato nas eleições presidenciais de 2010.

Fortaleza

Vitória de Luizianne Lins (PT).

Prefeitura conquistada pelo PT logo no primeiro turno, derrotando o DEM, de Moroni.

Resumo: Apoio total da Prefeitura de Fortaleza ao PT em 2010.

Manaus

Vitória de Amazonino Mendes (PTB).

Mais um exemplo de cidade em que a base aliada venceu, porém, tendo de disputar com um candidato do PT, nesse caso, Praciano.

Resumo: O PT pode ter o apoio de Amazonino em 2010, mas isso não é certo. Se o tiver, não deve ser totalmente engajado.

Belém

Segundo Turno entre Duciomar Costa (PTB) e Priante (PMDB).

Qualquer um dos dois candidatos que vencer será da base aliada do governo, se o que vencer for o apoiado pelo PT no segundo turno, as coisas ficarão melhores para Lula.

Resumo: Lula deve ter o apoio do Prefeito de Belém em 2010 para seu candidato, embora ele, provavelmente, seja mais forte no caso de vitória do apoiado pelo PT.

Como se pode ver, as eleições municipais desse ano, já no primeiro turno, comprovam que Lula não tem o tal "toque de Midas" e, principalmente, que eleger Dilma Rousseff em 2010 não será tarefa fácil. O saldo  dessas eleições para o presidente, incluindo no cálculo previsões minhas, é negativo. Afinal, terá oposição em São Paulo, Curitiba, Cuiabá e Natal, não devendo ter um apoio muito grande em Campo Grande, Goiânia, Porto Alegre e Florianópolis, sendo assim, sobram apenas os possíveis apoios fortes em Belo Horizonte, Manaus, Belém, Maceió e Rio de Janeiro (no caso de vitória de Eduardo Paes) e os apoios certos em Salvador, Fortaleza e Recife. Ou seja, tem a oposição de importantes cidades, principalmente São Paulo, terá de negociar bem para ter um apoio relevante em algumas capitais e só tem apoio incondicional em capitais menores, normalmente no Nordeste. Se Fernando Gabeira vencer no Rio, a coisa piora mais ainda.

É claro que muito do que foi dito acima é baseado em especulações minhas, portanto,  passível de equívocos, além disso, por mais que as previsões se concretizem, política é política. Sendo assim, reviravoltas podem acontecer, candidatos podem mudar de lado, Vice-prefeitos podem substituir Prefeitos que, por acaso, deixem o cargo para concorrer ao governo estadual, etc. Mas no fim das contas, olhando o tabuleiro de hoje, as peças não estão boas para Lula. Pode até ser que o jogo esteja diferente em 2010, mas está provado que o "toque de Midas" não apareceu.

"Where they Went" by Diane Daniel

WHO: Diane and John Charest, both 56, of Fitchburg, Mass.; Pam Treet, 45, of Fryeburg, Maine; and Carmina Provost, 58, and Stan Cheika, 54, both of Chicopee, Mass. (The women are sisters.)

WHERE: Portugal

WHEN: One week in April

WHY: "For years my sisters and I have wanted to visit Portugal, particularly the small town where our dad grew up," said Diane Charest.

OPEN ARMS: Jose Valentine is from Caldas da Rainha, an hour north of Lisbon. At 16, he moved to Chicopee, where he still lives. He turns 85 this week. "My father founded the Portuguese American Club in Chicopee," Charest said. "We called him the Portuguese godfather because everybody who moved there from Portugal would go to him for advice. He still goes to the club to watch soccer."

TOWN TOUR: The sisters stayed in downtown Lisbon, at the Hotel Mundial, and took day trips. Lena and Jose "Joe" Ribeiro, friends of their father who had lived in Chicopee but retired to Caldas da Rainha, gave them a tour of the town of 13,500. "It really was like a time warp," Charest said. "I almost expected to see a horse and buggy go down the street. Joe took us to my father's old house. That was very emotional for me. We also went to my great-grandmother's grave. She would visit us every summer. All the graves have pictures on them, and when I saw it I remembered her."

MEDIEVAL MASTERPIECE: Their father's hometown is just north of the popular tourist stop of Obidos, a walled 12th-century town with a castle. "That's where he went to school. He and Joe would walk up the hill there every morning. We saw the building, and it's now the welcome center. That town is like going to Brigadoon. We didn't want to leave."

OUT AND ABOUT: The group toured Lisbon as well as other spots, including Fatima and Sintra. "I was moved by Fatima," Charest said. "We looked around the church and shrines and did the walk of the stations." Lisbon reminded her of New Orleans, with its balconies of wrought iron. "I was amazed at how the whole country was tiled," she said. "Every night we ate outside - always fish - and we took the funicular to the Port Wine Institute." The only downside, she said, was the number of beggars and homeless people. "That surprised me."

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES: The daughters gathered with Dad after the trip to view photos. "We did a slide show on TV so we could all see them and my dad kept telling us about everything in his town, saying, `Oh, that's this, this is that.' He loved seeing his house."

I believe that if you or I could somehow transport ourselves back to 1917 in Fatima, Portugal, we would point overhead and say, “I can’t believe it, a flying saucer!” Or maybe, “Look at that, a UFO . . .” Yet, despite all the hype over this life-changing, Fatima event, what is extremely disturbing is that there are photographs of everything but the key element of this “event.” There are photographs of the crowd, standing in the rain. There are photographs of the three children both before and after the phenomenon. There are photographs of everything but the actual object itself. I know this because I actually went looking for any photographic proof of the “Miracle of the Sun.” I called a center in Canada that specializes in the Fatima apparitions. I asked if there were photographs of the event. The woman I spoke with assured me that there were; however, when I pressed her to produce some, she was unable to do so. I called back several times and the story was the same: “The photos are around somewhere, but right now I can’t find them.” After a month or so, she confided in me that she found it strange that none existed. I also spoke to someone, off the record, who has researched the Fatima apparitions, and he informed me that he had never seen a photograph of the “Miracle of the Sun” (source protected). After being on the Coast to Coast program with host George Noorey, I was contacted by a woman, via the Internet, who produced a picture of the event. However it was a photograph taken that day of the sun in the clouds, but nothing atypical could be seen in it. If someone is by chance reading this book and knows of a photograph of the actual event, I would ask that he or she please contact me at www.spiraloflife.com. One extremely interesting aspect of the Fatima apparitions was the secrets that were told to the seers. There were three secrets in total, and the first two were revealed to the public. One of which was a vision of hell and the other a request to “consecrate” Russia, or there would be turmoil in the world, and Russia would spread her errors (Communism?) throughout the world. The third and final secret was recorded in a letter and was supposed to be revealed publicly after 1960. It was not and caused speculation both inside and outside of the Catholic church as to the letter’s contents. Pope John Paul II finally revealed it on June 6, 2000, and, in doing so, created controversy regarding the authenticity of the secret. The Pope declared that the secret had to do with an assassination attempt on his life and the persecution of the Catholic Church. There are those within the church that believed that what the Pope read was not the third secret, hence the controversy. The lone surviving visionary, Lucia, had been in a Carmelite convent for most of her life, which prevented her from talking to anyone because of her vows. She remained silent until her death. So why am I bringing all of this to your attention? In my opinion the “secrets” of Fatima drew people away from biblical truth. They usurped the authority of scripture with extrabiblical revelations. Why else would Pope John Paul II dedicate the world to “Our Lady of Fatima”? This one supernatural event, that of the Fatima apparition, which is controversial at best, shifted millions of peoples’ belief from the solidity of biblical scripture to the “visions” of the three seers who may have been part of a great deception.

Weinfreunde sollten an der Bootsfahrt über den Douro von Ribeira nach Vila Nova de Gaia teilnehmen und in einer Kellerei den berühmten Portwein probieren.

Von Porto aus geht es langsam zurück gen Süden: Die Reiseroute führt die Entdecker über Batalha und Alcobaça, wo ein manuelisches Kloster und eine Zisterzienser-Abtei besichtigt werden können, nach Eriçeira. Am vorletzten Reisetag erreichen die Urlauber Sintra, wo die Besichtigung einer ehemaligen königlichen Jagdresidenz auf dem Programm steht. Die Rundfahrt endet in Faro. “I have much to show you, Fitzpatrick, and I can’t be concerned with what you might do. Bruno will see that you behave. Let’s begin, shall we? You are asking yourself why?” Without waiting for a reply the Hag continued. “It is because I want to show you deeper things, the hidden mysteries, what has been kept in the secret places for millennia, but now, in our day, will be revealed.” Fitz glanced at Bruno then at the Hag realizing that there was no choice but to listen. “Look at the screen Fitzpatrick,” the Hag said, as he dimmed the lights very low, but not completely dark as before. Fitzpatrick stared at the screen, a feeling of dread coursing through his body, like a poison. The screen flickered a few times, and then he saw a black and white movie. The quality was poor, grainy. “This was taken in 1917,” the Hag began, “In Fatima, Portugal.”   Fitz wondered, as he stared at the screen. “There is no sound, Fitzpatrick, so if you don’t mind I will narrate for us,” the Hag informed. “You see the crowd? Over seventy thousand people were gathered in Fatima. And do you know why? Because three children claimed to see an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary. They had been told that she would appear and perform a miracle.  So on that day people gathered, peasants, workers, farmers, the intelligencia of the day, newspaper reporters. It had been raining all morning, Fitzpatrick. But the ‘pilgrims’ remained vigilant. The miracle was supposed to happen at twelve noon. But the Virgin was late. Can you imagine, late?” And he burst out laughing again. “She finally showed up an hour later. One of the children pointed to where she was. Of course no one else saw anything but the children. But watch here Fitzpatrick. You see the film—how jerky it becomes? It is because the cameraman is pointing the camera in a new direction, toward the sky. Look. The sky is parting, and what do you see now? The sun spinning? Watch . . . see it fall to the earth. Now the people fall to their knees. Everyone is terrified. The world is coming to an end. The ‘sun’ is dancing and falling down to earth. Like your Chicken Little story.” The Hag laughed again. “Stupid peasants. What do you see Fitzpatrick? It’s not the sun, is it? It’s a disk. Look at it reflect the sun off its shiny exterior. See the way it comes close to the crowd. Everyone who had been standing in the rain experienced his or her clothes becoming dry. Some even reported miracles. And here’s something that you should know. This is the only film remaining of that day. Every other photograph was confiscated. Are you aware that a Catholic priest devoted his entire life to discovering what really happened? He is dead now, and his work remains unpublished, confiscated by the Vatican . . .2

 Of course the above scene is completely fictional, but it is based on several books, most notably, Celestial Secrets by Joaquim Fernandes and Fina d’Armada, Heavenly Lights by Fernandes and d’Armada, and Messages from Heaven by Jim Tetlow, about the events at Fatima. Remember in 1917 the word “UFO” or “flying saucer” was not in the lexicon of the local inhabitants. Those terms would come later in the twentieth century. The people who saw the “Miracle of the Sun” had no reference point, nothing in their realm of experience to compare with at what they were looking. I realize that the Catholic Church has embraced the apparitions, and the previous Pope, Pope John Paul II, credited the failure of his assassination attempt to “Our Lady of Fatima.”3 He also entrusted the third millennium to the apparition as well as entrusted the world to the “Lady of Fatima.”4 However, one must remember that the Pope is a man and that the priests, bishops, and clergy who witnessed the event were also men and that all of us are, in fact, not infallible. In their two coauthored books Heavenly Lights: The Apparitions and the UFO Phenomenon and Celestial Secrets: The Hidden History of the Fatima Cover-Up, Portuguese historians Dr. Joaquim Fernandes and Fina d’Armada cite eyewitness accounts of the Fatima event. I have included these eyewitness accounts from Heavenly Lights because they add an important perspective that was not addressed in my previously provided thumbnail sketch and fictional accounts of the event.

Something interesting happened on America's Next Top Model on Monday night.

No - seriously.

In amongst all the usual shit, a sparkling moment of clarity. The truth outed itself for one instant, but then vapourised without leaving its mark. But for that tiny, shining moment, the grotesque absurdity of the whole franchise was called into question - and it came from the most unlikely of sources.

The important folk on ANTM refer to each series as a 'cycle'. Not a 'series'. Not a 'season'. A 'cycle'. When you dwell on this, the logic holds up. The girls all come from nowhere and end up back in sweet obscurity - so 'cycle' it is.

This cycle, we have the usual bunch of warped, seven foot in-breds doing walking, then doing standing still whilst under the scrutiny of a bunch of complete and utter cocks, headed up by the contemptible, neurotic bundle of blabber they call Tyra Banks.

Among the contestants this cycle, the only candidates of any interest are Marvita and Fatima. Marvita is an amazonian shit-kicker who'd eat you for breakfast. Looking like Chris Partlow's older, more aggravated sister, she talks through her history of abuse as though she's reeling off a shopping list. Her cold, dead eyes are supremely likable for some reason.

Then there's Fatima (pronounced 'Fah-TEE-mah', apparently - though I prefer the 'Whitbread' phonetic of 'FATTY-mah'). Fatima is an out and out bitch who, in episode one this bicycle dropped the bombshell that she was circumcised at birth and suffered genital mutilation. Which is horrible, and we all feel for her. The first time she says it. By the time we've heard about it for the fourth time in 40 minutes, the goodwill sadly starts to diminish to the point where we forget about her campaign and realise she's using it as sympathy-leverage so she can be this unicycle's wind up merchant, starting cat-fights like there's no tomorrow. 

And finally in this brief round up, until last night, there was Kimberley. An unremarkable, plank-thick blonde with nothing to say for herself - last night she became a fleeting heroine as, when asked to step forward before they ripped the shit out of her photo on judgement day she said (and I'm forced to paraphrase):

'Y'know - I don't really like fashion much'

She went on to explain how she thinks that high fashion is stupid and that anyone who pays $2,000 for an outfit is an idiot and, sorry, but this whole thing just wasn't for her.

The judges' faces dropped. As they sat there with jaws on their laps I hoped that, even if only for a millisecond, they felt humbled by the logic of a nobody - suddenly realising that the show they're working on is a fatuous, risible and futile mess that creates absolutely nothing of any meaning or value. Unlikely, but maybe she hit her point home for a fraction of a moment.

Kimberley - I salute you.

Stereotype 1: Changes are most seen in the central part of Morrocco than in the more rural regions.

Stereotype 2: The technically developed west is superior then the weakened East, that since the Stone Age remains the same.

Stereotype 3: Graduates of the University generate more riches than those who never have the chance.

Stereotype 4: You are rich if you have a lot of money.

Stereotype 5: The conflict between man and woman will take centuries to solve.

Stereotype 6: The two cultures in Morocco (the Arabic and the Berber) are the source of many conflicts.

Stereotype 7: The populations living in the southern part of the country are called Berbers.

This is only a short list of the common generalizations Fatima Mernissi aims to dispel with her bookSheherazades Weblog. And if anything, she asks the reader to look beyond these generalizations in the effort to realize how fast Morocco is changing as a country.

It is no secret that Internet and mobile technology are quickly changing the way we live and work. Surprisingly, however, the impact of these technologies can best be seen in places other than Asia, Europe and North America. Increasingly, technology seems to have its greatest impact on places least suspected. This is only one of the many acute observations that come out of Fatima Mernissi’s latest book, the Sheherazades Weblog.

This latest book offers an interesting and unique look into the rising Internet culture in Morrocco. In the effort to connect the dots, we join Fatima Mernissi on a trip that extends well beyond the country’s urban centers and well into the highlands of the Atlas Mountains and the desert regions beyond.

It is in these more rural areas that we see the most dramatic change, the most creative use of new tools, and a combined community effort to harness their potential. It seems that communities in these remote areas have the most to gain from a digital revolution and at the same time can be the most creative in its uses.

One phenomenon that cannot be overlooked is the dating site revolution. A number of platforms have been mentioned in her book and are a testament to the desire and interest people have to connect and communicate. But Morocco's changes reach far beyond dating. Mobile and Internet are increasingly being used to introduce new and innovative services across the country. One website, that still remains a prominent information portal, was started by a young couple in Marrakech (www.emarrakech.info). The founders exemplify a new breed of young entrepreneurs looking to engage their fellow citizens, taking active roles in the democratiziation of information. It is in these young people where Fatima Mernissi sees one of the country’s greatest strengths.

"Either way, feeling at home between tradition and modernity is without a doubt one of the most exciting characteristics of the Morrocan youth, who one evening sing along to pop tunes and dance to the rhythms of the sama' the next. I believe this is one of the secrets of the new Arabic generations."

It is interesting to note that the original text was written in 2004. What makes my head spin is to imagine what has happened since Fatima Mernissi made these observations. Where is the revolution now ? It is no surprise that the mothers of some of Morocco's most promising Internet entrepreneurs still weave traditional rugs. Of course if you are interested in buying one, you can always shop on SouthBazaar (www.southbazaar.com), a Moroccan based website dedicated to artists who might otherwise not have an online presence.

          Here's a portion from  my book, Politics, Prophecy & the Supernatural that gives an overview, of the events surrounding the so called, Fatima apparitions. The 91st anniversary is coming up on October 13th, so I'll be Blogging on this for the next several days.

In 1917 three children (who would later become known as seers), Lucia Santos and her two cousins Francesco and Jacinta Marto, were tending sheep when they beheld an apparition of, what it would later refer to itself as, “a lady from heaven.” The apparition told them to come to the same place—Cova da Iria (Irene’s Cove, a place located near the town of Fatima, Portugal)—on the thirteenth day of the following month. The children told their parents about what they had seen and this set off an uproar in the town. The apparitions continued for months, finally culminating in the local priest instructing the children to ask the apparition for a sign. They did as they were asked, and the apparition told them that the following month, which was October, there would be a sign, for all to see. The next month upwards of seventy thousand people gathered in the field at Cova da Iria. It had been raining all day, and there was a thick layer of clouds overshadowing the crowd. A cross section of humanity gathered that day: bankers, peasants, clergy, bakers, young, old, reporters, believers, and skeptics alike all waited for the sign that the apparition had promised would appear. The appointed time for the “sign” to manifest, which was noon, came and went, and nothing happened. The crowd grew restless. An hour passed and one of the “seers” called out, “It’s the Lady.” The crowd could not see her, but the children apparently did, and everyone waited to see what would happen next. The dark sky suddenly parted to reveal what many onlookers described as “the sun.” It spun around throwing off an array of colors and then, to the terror of everyone, began to fall in a pendulum like motion to earth. What followed was mass hysteria, as people thought the end of world was upon them. Some dropped to their knees, while others ran about screaming hysterically. (This event is now called, “the Miracle of the Sun.”) The “sun” then began to ascend to its rightful place in the heavens, and when it had departed, the crowd realized that their clothes, which had been soaked by the constant rain, were dry. Most everyone in the crowd that day had his or her worldview altered for all time—many choosing to believe in the apparition that called herself the Lady from Heaven. Imagine yourself standing in that field and experiencing what would later be hailed as, “The Miracle of the Sun.” Would you examine your belief system? If you were from another faith, perhaps Judaism, would this event cause you to wonder as to what you were seeing? If you were an atheist, would not seeing the “miracle of the sun” make you pause and consider that there may be an unseen world? And finally, if you were a Catholic, how would it affect you? Would you start going to church everyday or maybe join the priesthood or a convent? Before I continue, I must once again issue a caveat: the following critique of this event is not meant in any way to demean the Catholic Church or those who have a different opinion—specifically the belief that this apparition was the Mother of God or the biblical figure of Mary— than I do regarding the apparitions at Fatima. The purpose is rather to point out what I believe was a cosmic deception that fooled most everyone. Following is a section from my third book in the Nephilim Trilogy, The Revealing. It has a scene where an aged Nazi (called “the Hag”) tells a defrocked priest (Fitzpatrick, or hisnickname, “Fitz”) what really happened that day in Fatima. Afterward I will expound on why I wrote this fictional account and why I believe that what transpired at the Cova da Iria, in Fatima, is in fact a harbinger of deception—a precursor to events that will come upon the earth.

Kat's probably wasn't there because she's in Europe now, specifically in Greece and has signed to Ace Models. Good luck to Kata, hope she gets tons of work.

By the way, Kat, Anya and Fatima were recently on the Tyra Banks Show on an episode titled Recessionista: Queen of Cheap about 2 weeks ago modeling clothes, and Fatima appeared on another one called Tyra's Pay it Forward with Joanie Dodds, and Fatima was also on episode Black Model Tribute for about a minute, sitting with Bre Scullark. Toccara was on that episode too.

Anyways, I can't wait to see this episode and hopefully someone will record it and add it up on youtube for everyone else to see incase people end up missing it.

Não . Não existe .

O diretor da escola não é eleito pela COMUNIDADE .

Há 2 anos , o diretor da Escola Municipal Jorge Ayres de Lima anunciou para a comunidade o fim de um turno da escola , contra a vontade da própria comunidade .

Comentou-se que já no primeiro dia de reunião houve muito descontentamento .
E a coisa foi , que no terceiro dia , mesmo a comunidade sendo muito pacífica e ordeira . Houve uma grande manifestação , onde o diretor teve de ficar bem quietinho dentro da escola . Porque a indignação do povo estava muito grande .

O turno acabou . Muita gente perdeu dias de preocupação comentou-se porque alunos seriam transferidos para uma outra escola onde poderiam ser mortos , sofrerem prejuízos , sendo eles da localidade de onde são .
Essa decisão naquela época de encerrar o turno e a decisão de transferir alunos não levou em conta a vontade da própria comunidade .

DA FELICIDADE DA VOLTA AOS ESTUDOS AO DESESPERO PROGRESSIVO COM O FIM DO SISTEMA DE CICLOS

Havia também em um outro turno , um sistema de estudos , tipo supletivo , onde os alunos terminariam o ensino fundamental em um tempo menor .

Também por motivação de dinheiro , verbas ou outra coisa qualquer , contra a vontade dos próprios alunos que estudavam à noite nesse sistema , já com todo um planejamento pessoal e de superação na vida de cada aluno . Ou seja , acabou o sistema de ciclos , contra a vontade dos alunos que estudavam na escola .

Nem ao menos tiveram o cuidado de respeitar os esforços de muitas pessoas que estudavam após o trabalho , e tinham um enorme proveito com o sistema .

Muitos alunos imploravam para que o sistema fosse acabando , pelo menos progressivamente , para que eles pudessem concluir seus estudos nesse sistema , pois estavam indo muito bem , nessa nova oportunidade de voltar aos estudos .

Quem sou eu para dizer que esta foi mais uma decisão de prepotência . Mas eu fui professora deles e via e ouvia dia-a-dia o descontentamento deles com o fim desse sistema de ensino .
E eles querendo reivindicar , mostrar que aquilo era importante para eles .
Todos os dias era uma bênção nas aulas , alunos chegavam motivados para estudarem após longas horas de jornada de trabalho . Da felicidade dos estudos ao desespero progressivo com o fim do sistema de ciclos .

E eles sem terem quem os ajudassem efetivamente, com vontade real de ajudar , nesses seus anseios .
É possível a uma funcionária Pública investida da função de Secretária de Educação no exercício de sua função abusar do poder de sua autoridade ?

A atuação da ex-secretária de Educação Maíses Rangel Suhett na Cidade de Belford Roxo foi objeto de crítica pública . Muitas anônimas , no anonimato . Por causa do medo de retaliações , como a condenação em processos administrativos disciplinares . E a transferências para escolas de difícil acesso . Bem como A DEVOLUÇÃO DA UNIDADE ESCOLAR e outros " castigos " .

O RECREIO DOS PROFESSORES
Comenta-se que havia até uma orientação em reduzir ou não conceder o recreio dos professores a depender do conteúdo dos diálogos entre os professores , na sala do professores .

O recreio foi dividido em 2, 3 tempos de recreio .

A escola , em umas situações, é um ambiente estressante .

MÚSICA ESTIMULANDO O CONTEÚDO E A MOTIVAÇÃO
Nesse tempo trabalhando com músicas , os alunos tiveram proveito ,
participaram .
Interagiram .
Trouxeram músicas .
A maioria gostou de escutar músicas .
As músicas trazem letras , poesias , discutem .
Fazem reflexões .
Despertam mais poesias .
Trazem a interpretação .
Letras , verbos , tempos verbais , artigos , nomes , pronomes ,
palavras que podem fazer um gancho para a fixação de expressões ,
a contextualização de palavras , a introdução de gramática .
Trazem inspiração .
Trazem emoção .
Quanto mais usamos o rádio , mais vemos funções e benefícios.
A música, mesmo, é um fator importante de concentração e atenção para alguns com mais dificuldades.
A música aumenta o desempenho de determinados alunos , isso é um assunto que , quem sabe, poderia ser estudado cientificamente num futuro . Se já não o foi .
O som é um recurso interessante e privilegiado .
Um texto falado , ouvido , cantado , declamado trás o som das palavras que estão sendo redigidas . Um estímulo para emitir o som . Um estímulo a leitura , a pesquisa .
Não devemos fazer da escola um ambiente de perturbações .
As pessoas não se arrumam só para ir a igreja , ao clube .
E quando elas se arrumam para ir a escola . A Escola é um momento único e importante na vida de muitos alunos .
São poucas as opções de lazer , cultura, etc . Por que não ter um momento nesse processo para aquietar o coração .
PODEMOS SER FELIZES NA SALA DE AULA
O como fazer também é importante . O como aprender é importante . O aprender a aprender . Aprender a ser capaz de aprender . Ter direito a um ambiente favorável a aprendizagem .
Não devemos condenar a espontaneidade . Podemos ter espontaneidade na sala de aula .
Podemos ser felizes na sala de aula . Podemos ter um momento para ouvir músicas .
Podemos ter um momento na sala de aula para manusear livros .
Podemos ter um momento na sala de aula para ver imagens .
Podemos ter um momento na sala de aula para ver um DVD .
Podemos ter um momento na sala de aula para respirar , sentir a respiração , desestressar , e a partir do auto-conhecimento trabalhar a saúde integral para o bem-estar pessoal e coletivo .
Há momentos que não concordamos com a opinião de outros professores. Mas tem que haver o respeito .
Uma professora pode gostar de trabalhar da forma X , outras da forma Y . O que tem que haver é o respeito .
Somos do time da Ética . Da Educação . Tem que haver o respeito ao trabalho do outro, da outra .
Podemos não concordar . Mas tem que haver o respeito . A tolerância .
Somos formadores . Devemos ter a consciencia tranquila . Gerar pessoas éticas .
Quando eu soube do sumiço do meu rádio na escola Municipal Jorge Ayres de Lima , eu fiquei muito sentida .
Tentei dar aulas usando expressões , vocabulários , exercícios retirados das músicas sem a música .
Eu deixava o rádio na casa de pessoas da comunidade próximos da escola e nunca sumiram com o rádio .
O diretor da escola dizia que eu deveria deixar o rádio dentro da escola . Disse que no armário da secretaria da escola o rádio estaria seguro . Depois para mim, ele disse que o rádio não não estava mais na secretaria . Que estava no armário da coordenadora . A coordenadora , para mim , disse que o rádio sumiu no armário dela , que alguém pegou o rádio de dentro do armário dela enquanto ela teria esquecido o armário aberto .
O que me estranhou nessa história do sumiço do rádio é que ninguém me avisou do ocorrido . Não me deram satisfação . E até onde eu saiba , não houve registro , averiguação . Até onde eu saiba , não houve interesse de saber pistas sobre o sumiço , roubo , ou furto desse rádio .
Tecnicamente nessa situação não sei qual o nome correto para o que aconteceu com o rádio . Omissão, furto , roubo, sumiço, implicância .
Aí vieram me falar que uma ex-professora da noite , Ana Paula, que não se encontra mais na escola , teve um dvd sumido , furtado ou roubado e comentou-se que ficou por isso mesmo .
Comentou-se que cada professor deu 10 reais para não trabalharem em um sábado de festa junina , já deixando o dinheiro total de que deveria ser arrecadado com o trabalho na festa , e na segunda-feira , após a festa , disseram que o dinheiro sumiu de dentro do armário da coordenadora e ficou por isso mesmo .
E uma pessoa de frente a escola disse que o carro do diretor é entra e sai cheio de sacos pretos .
Minha mãe me falou para não comprar outro rádio . Porque se eu deixar na escola , podem roubar novamente ou sumir .
E que vai se ficar por isso mesmo novamente .

Não sou a favor dessa filosofia de trabalho de deixar professor em maus lençóis. De detornar professor que trabalha com dedicação. Penso que não se pode desvalorizar nem a pessoa do aluno, nem a pessoa do professor.

Teve uma vez que a orientadora pedagógica Maria da Conceição da Silva Pereira passou uma circular dizendo que era pra formar os alunos todos os dias , até aí tudo bem. Mas estava escrito na circular também uma frase lá no meio , mais ou menos assim, que os professores desta escola municipal não tem compromisso. Eu disse que não ia assinar pois poderia prejudicar alguma colega injustamente e não concordava com o que estava escrito , que os professores que trabalhavam lá seriam descomprometidos.

Depois que eu recusei a assinar a circular, outra professora também achou que tinha dúvidas se deveria ter assinado e riscou a assinatura dela da circular que tinha a frase mais ou menos no sentido que os professores da escola não tinham compromisso .

Uma profissional com a função de orientar pai, mãe, aluno , professores tem que ter bons princípios, se colocar na situação do outro, sempre tentando agir assim . Não pode ser uma pessoa que deseja o mal do próximo, nem muito menos vingativa.

Houve comentários na escola municipal que a orientadora pedagógica Maria da Conceição da Silva Pereira estaria anunciando , que embora ela não seja concursada e esteja trabalhando por indicação política por contrato , que já é certo que a orientadora pedagógica Maria da Conceição da Silva Pereira seja efetivada no próximo concurso .

Um profissional da rede de Belford Roxo me disse que esse profissional torcia para que a orientadora pedagógica Maria da Conceição da Silva Pereira passasse no próximo concurso da Prefeitura Municipal de Belford Roxo que a orientadora pedagógica Maria da Conceição da Silva Pereira anuncia já estar aprovada, mas que torcia também para que a orientadora pedagógica Maria da Conceição da Silva Pereira fosse trabalhar bem longe desse profissional , porque se esse profissional tiver que trabalhar junto com a orientadora pedagógica Maria da Conceição da Silva Pereira numa reunião por exemplo, que não vai dar muito certo.

Tenho muito medo de trabalhar este ano com esse povo que inventa mentiras . De trabalhar com pessoa falsa , que deturpa a imagem de profissionais e criando armadilhas. Existe funcionário que foram prejudicados tendo que sair da escola que sabe bem como esse povo inventa !

Eu passei momentos difíceis , não conseguia dormir. Chorava muito , e chegou um dia que não consegui entrar na escola e fiquei travada na porta da escola chorando. Uma amiga da outra escola me viu na porta da escola muito mal e me ajudou a entrar na Escola Municipal Jorge Ayres de Lima .

Peço a Deus Pai, Senhor Jesus Cristo e o Divino Espirito Santo que Ele me ilumine , que continue em meu caminho neste ano como sempre esteve para que eu possa ser forte suficiente para suportar tantas falsidades, dissimulações , Assédios e continue a cumprir minha missão de professora.

Não é se alegrando com o mal do outro que se chegará no reino do céu.

Ser educadora vai contra os interesses de muitas pessoas.
