Kaki Kanan Sempat Membusuk, Terhibur Dijenguk Keluarga dari Solo

Kecelakaan pesawat Sriwijaya Air di Bandara Sultan Thaha, 27 Agustus lalu, tak menyita perhatian publik lagi. Bangkai pesawat nahas itu pun telah diangkut dari lokasi kejadian. Tapi tidak bagi Seno, petani yang jadi korban over run pesawat tersebut. Kecelakaan itu menjadi mimpi buruk bagi dia dan keluarganya. Kini Seno masih terbaring di RS Asia Medika. Bagaimana kondisinya?

Rumah papan di RT 10 Kelurahan Pall Merah tersebut tampak tak terawat. Halamannya yang tak luas tampak agak kotor. Pintu dan jendela tertutup rapat. Ucapan salam Jambi Independent tak berbalas oleh empunya rumah. Seorang tetangga menjawab salam koran ini. “Kosong, masih di rumah sakit,” terang pria beraksen Jawa tersebut.

Rumah sederhana itu adalah kediaman Seno dan Pasri. Setelah menjalani operasi amputasi (pemotongan) tangan kanan dan kaki kirinya sebulan lalu, hingga kemarin Seno dan Keluarganya “pindah rumah” ke ruang isolasi besar RS Asia Medika. “Ya, di sini terus,” tutur Pasri, istri Seno, ketika koran ini menyambanginya di RS Asia Medika.

Siang kemarin (7/10) koran ini sengaja menemui Seno. Kondisi bapak satu anak itu cukup memprihatinkan. Terbaring di kasur, tangan kanan dan kaki kiri Seno yang diamputasi masih terlihat belum begitu membaik. Baru tangan kanannya yang kondisinya lebih baik, sedangkan kakinya masih melekat perban. “Masih bengkak,” kata Seno menunjukkan tangan kanannya yang diamputasi.

Selang infus juga masih terpasang di tangan kirinya. Di kaki kanannya terpancang pen. Menurut Pasri, luka di kaki tersebut sempat membusuk. “Untung sekarang sudah tidak,” katanya dengan logat Jawa.

Selain istri, Seno ditemani Rahmat, anaknya yang turut jadi korban. Kelelahan tampak menghiasi wajah Pasri. Tapi ia terlihat cukup tegar. Dari mulutnya mengalir cerita bagaimana keadaan suaminya saat ini. “Ya, agak kurusan dibanding sebelumnya,” jawabnya ketika ditanya soal badan Seno yang tampak ringkih.

Seno sempat mengaku kecelakaan yang menimpanya seakan memupus harapannya akan bagaiamana menghidupi keluarga. “Ya, dak ada lagi harapan, mau bagaimana lagi,” ujar pria yang mengaku sempat shock setelah diamputasi tersebut. Bagaimana ia akan bekerja, ia pun masih belum mempunyai gambaran. Begitu juga dengan sang istri.

“Ya, kalau perempuan bertani itu gimana ya, apalagi kan sudah tidak boleh (bertani di areal bandara),” terang Pasri yang berdiri di ujung ranjang. Kedua suami-istri itu kini hanya berharap agar kesembuhan segera datang kepada Seno. Terlebih Rahmat, anak semata wayang mereka, masih belum bisa berjalan akibat kecelakaan itu.

Selama “ngekos” di rumah sakit, Pasri nyaris tak pernah pulang ke rumah. Akibatnya ia mencuci pakaian di rumah sakit. Ia menjemurnya di besi-besi yang ada di kolong ranjang suaminya. Memang koran ini mendapati sejumlah pakaian menggantung di kolong ranjang Seno. Didominasi pakaian si Rahmat. “Kalau makan keluarga ada yang mengantar,” katanya lagi.

Pasri mengaku, soal biaya ia sudah merasa aman. Kata perawat, memang sudah ditanggung pihak Sriwijaya. “Bahkan kemarin, sebelum Lebaran, orang Sriwijaya Air datang memberi sembako,” cerita perempuan yang berasal dari Pati, Jawa Tengah, tersebut.

Cerita lain juga dibeberkan pasangan suami-istri tersebut. Gencarnya pemberitaan media akan kecelakaan pesawat yang mengangkut 125 penumpang itu ternyata membawa saudara kandung Seno menjenguknya. “Mereka lihat di televisi, korbanya Seno. Setelah dicek ternyata saya, saudaranya,” tutur Seno dari tempat tidurnya. Singkat cerita, ketiga saudaranya itu bertolak ke Jambi dengan menumpang pesawat Sriwijaya Air, gratis.

Derai air mata tak terbendung ketika keluarga dari Solo itu berkumpul. Menurut Seno, mereka sekitar hari ke-15 baru di Jambi. Hanya saja, meskipun tiga saudaranya sudah melihat kondisinya, ibu Seno hingga kini belum mengetahui kondisi anaknya tersebut. “Ibu saya sudah tua, sudah 95 tahun, tapi masih sehat. Beliau tidak tahu kalau kondisi saya seperti ini,” ujarnya. (*)

5. Novelty horn

If there's anything fun to change about your car, it is going to be the horn. There are different types and sounds of horns available from car parts dealer these days. The more unique your horn is, the better it is. Take your pick. There are horns that emulate the sound of a gun or a big raging beast on the race track. Just make sure that you don't overdo it though. Be careful with your choice as well. It is best that you choose something that complements the make and look of your car.

I'd been trying to get tickets all week, but a mix of bad planning and procrastination had made chances at good seats slim. After leisurely strolling to the mall, having some dunch (dinner/lunch) at Koya Japan and grabbing some cash, I decided to go to the Ticketmaster Store. I asked the woman at the counter for three tickets (for the two comrades of mine), she punched that into the computer. Now, be aware that this is 3 hours before the show is set to begin, so I wasn't expecting great tickets. The lady at the counter say, "Oh my God! These are great tickets! I'm getting you these tickets, you want these tickets. Wow!" (not word for word but you get the idea here). ConfusedExcited, I checked out what seats they were. Floor Seats, Row 2. Flippin' Hell! These tickets were apparently selling for about $200 each when they first went on sale. EPIC LUCK! I get home, grab my camera, and go to the train station to meet my friends...

Upon entering GM Place we were pretty bummed. It turns out the only part that really mattered on that ticket was "Floor Seats" and even then, only the word "Floor". Anyway, the three of us walk onto the floor after numerous security checks and make our way to the crowd of about 30 people. The groupies were preparing the stage for Tokyo Police Club (the first opening band) and we were preparing our ears for the torrent of sound with some make-shift earplugs. Tokyo Police Club took the stage and I quickly ditched the ear gear. My friend was particularly stoked for Tokyo Police Club, but bummed that they didn't play a favourite of his, Cheer it On. I was just happy to see the keyboardist in action.

After Tokyo Police Club played the lights came back on and the crew began setting up the elaborate stage for Angels & Airwaves. I'm not a fan, let's put it that way. They sound like a cross between Coldplay and The Killers, but are not nearly as good as either. In fact, we all exited the floor and found some empty seats. We'd prefer to be bored and comfortable than bored and standing. After what seemed like an eternity of songs, unnecessary dancing and various lighting gadgets, it was finally over.

We left our seats and joined the throng of Weezer fans back on the floor. It took a while for them to take down all of Angles & Airwaves' lights, but then the time came. The lights go down and the joints light up. Weezer came on stage wearing the scientist outfits from the Pork and Beans video to the chanting of the crowd. They begin with Brian Bell's intro to My Name is Jonas and from there it goes nuts for the whole night. Say It Ain't So, Beverly Hills, Hashpipe, Perfect Situation, Undone (Sweater Song) and all the other Weezer hits were performed including some Red Album stuff like Troublemaker, Pork and Beans, and The Greatest Man That Ever Lived. During the show Weezer showed off their soccer moves on stage, wore matching red track suits, joked around and (unfortunately) employed the talent of both the drummer and lead singer of Angels and Airwaves.

At this point, the atmosphere was 50% sweat, 40% pot smoke, 10% oxygen. The mosh pit was a beast that my friends and I fought through. We stayed at the front of the crowd for most of the concert, getting our ears blasted by their tunes. The security guards, whose job it is to pull out crowd surfers and generally look unhappy were very busy, pulling out my friend about four times. Towards the latter half of the night, Weezer brought out about twenty or so fans to perform Island in the Sun and Beverly Hills on various instruments. Xylophone and violin solos FTW! Rivers joked and chatted with the fans while they set-up and after they performed he gave one of them the set-list.

Weezer left the stage and a stage technician came on instead. He brought a stool and a red record player emblazoned with their logo. He then took out a vinyl version of The Red Album and put it on. I'm not sure what song it was, but it was really epic! (there were lighters out)

Finally, Weezer came out sans track-suits and performed an insane cover of Sliver by Nirvana, one of their major influences. It looked as though that was the end of it, but everyone in that stadium knew one song had yet to be performed. Rivers told us that he needed a bit of help singing this next one, but he didn't need to tell us.

Buddy Holly without a doubt was the greatest performance of the night. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. What a song to go out on, with thousands singing along.

We all tried to find each other as everyone exited the stadium. After regrouping, we tried the Skytrain but it was too crowded. We looked for someplace to get drinks, causing us to wander downtown for about 15 minutes until stumbling upon a 7/11. We grabbed drinks and slurpees to rehydrate and headed to the now less-crowded Skytrain. We all talked hoarsely about the night as we went our separate ways. My voice is still shot and I'm sure my ears will be ringing well into Monday. I couldn't care less - they're just holding onto the songs from Friday night...
