Aseara am participat, alaturi de alti doua sute de romani, la lansarea noului CD al FFN-ului, "in blue jeans" Cristi Madolciu si Silviu Olaru, singurii care au mai ramas din vechea formatie, s-au straduit si reusit sa faca o treaba excelenta. Lansarea a avut loc in Gradina Botanica din Toronto. Din formatie au lipsit Gabi Litvin, care a refuzat sa participe, din motive personale si regretatul Florin Dumitru. In deschiderea mini-concertului FFN, formatia Anima a prezentat citeva din creatiile proprii. Evident ca artistilor nu le-a lipsit tracul, dar performantele au fost intr-adevar notabile si invitatii s-au simtit foarte bine. Gustari reci si calde, bautura, muzica, putin dans si destrabalare, poze, pupaturi, periscoape si alte pupaturi, autografe si multa buna dispozitie. Una peste alta, o seara relaxanta intre prieteni. Cu fo patruzeci dintre ei ne vom intilni din nou miine la petrecerea pe care o organizam si de unde va voi trimite ceva poze. Uite si una de aseara. Am sa trimit si un cintec doua, dar nu acum ca sunt pe fuga.

Guérini élu d'office au Département
Tentons d'y voir plus clair. Demain, selon la législation (premier jeudi après l'élection cantonale), le Conseil général des Bouches-du-Rhône doit élire son nouveau président avec des règles protocolaires très strictes. Jean-Noël Guérini, le presque gagnant des élections municipales de Marseille, tant sa campagne est admirée désormais jusque dans les rangs mêmes de l'UMP, parti que l'on a connu moins humble durant la campagne, a peu de souci à se faire, sa majorité est renforcée et son positionnement de leader de gauche "ouvert" et "rassembleur" ne fait désormais plus l'ombre d'un doute. Sur les 57 élus que comptent le département, 31 sont socialistes, 2 sont divers gauche, 6 sont communistes et seulement 17 sont UMP et 1 sans étiquette. Pour autant, il sera intéressant de voir comment ledit patron va répartir les pouvoirs des vice-présidences et des délégations selon la nouvelle carte électorale du département, le tout en ligne et en direct sur le www.cg13.fr paraît-il. Jean-Noël Guérini a su surprendre pendant sa campagne contre Jean-Claude Gaudin, nul doute qu'il aura encore "400 mètres d'avance" sur ce coup-là.

Gaudin et sa majorité de paille
Vendredi matin aura lieu le premier conseil municipal de Marseille. Et là, les choses risquent de ne pas être aussi limpides qu'au Département. Pourquoi ? D'abord les chiffres : 49 élus de l'opposition guériniste pour 51 de la majorité gaudiniste et un élu du front National qui risque d'être souvent bien utile à l'édile marseillais, en route pour son troisième mandat. Il en a l'habitude puisque, élu à la présidence du conseil régional Paca naguère , il gouvernât avec l'extrême droite sans trop se sentir géné. Plus encore, il soutint avant même d'être candidat lui-même, contre son camp, Daniel Simonpiéri à Marignane. Ledit Simonpiéri étant un élu Front national pendant plus de 30 ans puis MNR, un court instant, avant de devenir le pourfendeur des causes pieds noirs peu affables. C'est l'homme de la statuaire immonde au regard de la relecture partisane et peu acceptable de l'histoire de la guerre en Algérie et de la paix en Méditerranée. Dieu merci laminé aux dernières élections, Gaudin ne lui aura servi de rien, et le soutien de Muselier et de l'UMP à son concurrent a été bien plus bénéfique que cette amitié gaudiniste incompréhensible...

Ainsi, la majorité du très habile maire de Marseille, en termes d'expressions pagnolesques quand il s'agit de charmer, est très loin d'être soudée. S'il semble acquis que le premier adjoint d'alors, autant dire Renaud Muselier, ne fait plus parti du jeu, calmé par une présidence probable à la Communauté urbaine (MPM) et un refus très abusif en termes de communication, selon la presse locale qui ne se lasse pas de cirer les pompes sans vérifier ses informations, d'entrer au gouvernement.

Premier adjoint : Blum ou Teissier ?
Bref, la lutte est quasiment ouverte entre Roland Blum et Guy Teissier pour le poste de premier adjoint. Si Blum semble tenir la corde, il est en effet bien plus fidèle à Gaudin que ne l'est Teissier, plus frondeur en ancien militaire qu'il est. Néanmoins, ce dernier est celui qui a apporté le plus d'élus à Gaudin, reconnu comme étant l'un des meilleurs parlementaires et fraîchement réélu à la présidence de la commission "défense" de l'Assemblée nationale.

Les dernières informations semblent vouloir nous convaincre que le prochain remaniement ministériel, autrement dit, après la présidence française de l'Union européenne, verrait l'entrée d'un Marseillais de l'envergure d'un Teissier, d'un bon oeil. Pour l'heure on répond à l'Élysée, sans trop maîtriser la langue de bois, que le choix s'est fait sur les meilleurs et que les candidats du pauvre Gaudin, que l'on tient peu en estime, "ne sont pas à niveau...". Teissier, intelligent mais trop à droite, mal à propos dans une politique d'ouverture désormais claire au centre voire à gauche, Muselier ? "trop con", "on le nourrit d'espoir, il a l' Union méditerranéenne, il n'en fera rien, on le regrette déjà... Honnêtement quelle enclume !"

Gaudin est fort mari de la situation, il souhaitait de tout cœur voir son principal concurrent interne catapulté à Paris, pour organiser ses affaires entre ses vrais et ses moins vrais amis locaux. Il a l'habitude, il sait faire, sauf qu'aujourd'hui, il suffit à Guérini de convaincre un seul des siens pour voir capoter ses projets municipaux. Sauf que le projet municipal du maire sortant à été ficelé à l'arraché, sûr qu'il était de sa victoire jusqu'à la mi-janvier, et surpris par la qualité de la campagne de son concurrent et de sa montée inexorable dans les sondages le donnant même gagnant contre lui, il n'a pas pris le temps nécessaire pour boucler son affaire. Le voilà seul devant ses formules d'agences de communication, 21 idées pour le XXIème siècle ! La formule l'a emporté mais quoi derrière? Nous le verrons, pour le meilleur ou pour le pire...

UMP : une campagne fort peu morale !
Poussé, il est vrai par les instances nationales de l'UMP et surtout par l'Élysée. Il devait l'emporter coûte que coûte, sans trop regarder la morale. Sûrement que ce catholique convaincu et convainquant aura quelques remords de vérité au moment du jugement dernier, comme nous tous il est vrai. Sauf qu'il portait jusqu'alors sa bonne foi en bandoulière provençale, force bonnes formules à la bouche, de quoi déchanter désormais au regard du contrôle de la presse locale, qu'il lui a valu les admonestations du CSA (instance indépendante de régulation de la Presse), un peu tardives, élections faites, et des attaques tous azimuts, souvent en arabe, pour pointer l'épouse d'origine juive de son concurrent et l'incroyable opposition inventée 2 jours avant le 2ème tour de Guérini sur la grande Mosquée, alors qu'il en avait été le principal instigateur en demandant de respecter les règles de la République sur la formation du clergé musulman.

Nous n'aborderons pas les surprenants 1880 électeurs du 4ème et 5ème arrondissements,celui dans lequel, étonnamment, Guérini était candidat, qui habitent et vivent dans le Var et qui ont fait élire Renaud Muselier, sans qu'ils n'aient jamais voté avant cette élection à Marseille. La justice donnera, dans 5 ans, son avis... La machinerie et les méthodes de l'ex RPR aura donc encore frappé à Marseille... Muselier connaît la musique non ? Pas grave, il est élu, il a débouché le champagne et bu au goulot avant même les résultats, un peu trop sûr de lui non ?

Nous tairons les excuses publiques imposées par le CSA au patron de France 3 Méditerranée, Patrick Gabet. Excuses charcutées sur leur site Internet de France 3, peu publiques parce que jamais diffusées sur le net contrairement aux préconisations du CSA. Ledit Gabet, candidat émérite aux honneurs impossibles, est si estimé par ses collègues, qu'il fut un candidat, hier tout juste, malheureux à la direction de l'école de journalisme et de communication de Marseille, soutenu par seulement 3 voix.

Les journalistes sont, somme toute, peu reconnaissants envers un collègue peu srupuleux lui-même des fondements de leur métier, autant dire, un minimum d'indépendance. Cela dit ils sont rares dans le coin, Lagardère et maintenant Hersant ayant dit ce qu'ils étaient, l'adoubement ou le RMI, on comprend le choix de nos valeureux journalistes locaux...

On ne peut que compatir et souhaiter la défaillance permanente voire la vigilance sans faille tant ils se sont reposés en oubliant le rôle qu'ils avaient à mener. Les journalistes devront se secouer les plumes ou se voir engloutir. Facile à dire et, une fois de plus, nous compatissons. Mais ont-ils choisis ce métier pour la villa avec femme et enfants? Il se trouve que ces nouveaux patrons de presse peu regardant, laissant l'oreillette ouverte pour le Gaudin ex-maire mais candidat déjà élu, s'est fait prendre pour un abusif suceur de pompes. C'est heureux mais pas assez selon nous. Surtout, la veille du second tour, un reportage où Guérini était traité d'escroc et de voleur, un scandale journalistique, digne d'une république bannière, mérite d'être catapulté très loin des sphères journalistiques.

Nous sortons des élections municipales dans la pire configuration politique possible. Nous vous fichons notre billet que le seul élu Front national fera souvent la couture entre les deux majorités presque égales. L'antithèse d'une bonne gouvernance. Exactement l'inverse de ce que proposaient les deux candidats Gaudin et Guérini. Les Marseillais ont tranchés, déchirés entre quatre secteurs populaires acquis à la gauche au Nord et les quatre secteurs de droite au Sud.

L'avenir de Marseille, on reconduit sans rien dire ?
Précisément ce que ne devrait pas être Marseille qui avait su garder jusqu'alors son vivre ensemble, sans trop d'anicroches et qui faisait jusqu'alors, figure d'exemple mondial. Précisément la Marseille qui n'avait jamais vu poindre le moindre barbecue de voitures dans les cités, contrairement à Strasbourg et aux cités environnants Lyon ou Paris, voire Toulouse. Précisément ce qui faisait sa chance parce qu'elle se fondait sur le richesse de sa nature, qui est quasi exclusivement humaine, parce qu'elle n'avait pas su perdre le sens de la palabre et du vivre ensemble. A Marseille, ou l'on se fond humblement dans la nacelle ou on décolle ailleurs !

Les observateurs que nous sommes exultons, bien des choses vont se produire et nos lecteurs, nous l'espérons, nous ferons confiances, pas sûrs que les Marseillais dans leur ensemble le fassent... Honnêtement, on craint le pire, Papy Gaudin, rassurez-nous !

Ich muss sagen, extrem cremig ! So geschehen vor ungefähr einer Stunde.

Ich habe mich vor einiger Zeit bei meinem Heim-und Haussender ffn für das Quiz "Schlacht der Geschlechter" angemeldet. Naja ich wurde irgendwann angerufen und sollte eine Frage beantworten. Mein Mitspieler hat seine Frage nicht gewusst, also hab ich die 100 € Tagessieg bekommen. Klasse Sache ich hab mich gefreut, denn als Zeitarbeiterin braucht man jeden Cent.

Damit kam ich in den Topf, wo am Ende der Aktion auch noch ein Bausparvertag über 5000 € (von Schwäbisch Hall) verlost werden sollte. Naja ich war froh über die 100 und hab mir keine weiteren Gedanken gemacht.

Gestern wurde ich allerdings noch mal von ffn angerufen, an die Verlosung erinnert und gefragt ob ich denn Freitag früh auch erreichbar sei. Kein Problem, ich muss diese Woche erst spät anfangen. Heute morgen allerdings habe ich wieder keinen Gedanken daran verschwendet, das ich gezogen werden könnte, und hab meinen Wecker noch mal ausgehauen. Zack, schon klingelt das Telefon.

Und ja ... ich habe den Bausparvertrag gewonnen ! Ich hab mich gefreut wie verrückt, als erstes meine Mum angerufen, dann meinen Schatz und meine Freundin zum Radio hören verdonnert.

Jetzt mache ich mich gleich auf den Weg zur Arbeit, das geht heute bestimmt doppelt so gut.

Ich hab noch keine Ahnung was ich mit Geld anfange, aber das muss ich ja auch noch nicht, denn es ist ja nicht um Ausgeben sondern zum Sparen !

So, thus, a new writing project was born. But not just an old project, no, not with us at the helm of an idea.

We're not using the old fashion style of paper, pencils and pens.

We're not even going to be using the likes of Microsoft Word either.

We'll be using a three-way combo of googleTalk, googleDocs and Skype. Once done with the novel's post work, we'll be self-publishing on through the highly-acclaimed internet based publishing house Lulu.

We think this is the first novel to be developed, written and published completely by way of internet.

So there you have it.

Right now we're developing the plot through googleDocs. Make sure to pay attention to my youtube channel, so I'll start updating it as soon as possible.

I wrote quite a bit while up in Crestline over the Thanksgiving holiday, and it's followed me home. My long 6 month stint with hazy ideas is gone. Everything has become clear. Today I met with my former creative writing professor and we discussed how I can get published...I alos dropped off the prologue/first 3 chapters of my original work, "There".

So for now, I'm in my writing studio, writing away.

Tonight I attended and ran amuck at the Orange County Auto Show.

Anyone who has ever gone to an auto show with me, especially the larger ones, has told me I am a blast to be with.

I’m loud, brash and speak my mind, even if it’s in front of people who are working for the car companies I’m bad-mouthing. The inner “Jet” really does come out.

Tonight, I had a great time thanks to an exhibition of tuner cars that were also on display, and nearly fell over laughing at them.

My favorite is a tie between some late 80’s model Honda Civic all tricked out and junk like some rice-powered wonder and a new Kia Spectra with a paint job from car hell while riding on some 23’’ rims. The stock rims on a Spectra are only 15’’, so you can imagine how out of place they looked.

I think one rim was larger than the whole car combined.

But yes, I spent an excellent night bad-mouthing the Bentley and Rolls-Royce booths., complaining that they make cars that you get someone to drive you in as opposed to you driving yourself. I accused them of creating a lazy culture in the world of driving.

I also called over a man working the Ferrari booth and reminded him that McLaren’s F1 team would still be on top of the FIA’s Formula 1 Constructor’s Championship if it weren’t for a stupid Ferrari engineer and this whole spying mix-up.

I hinted to a few Buick representatives that they needed to make cars that were less…bland. I out-right criticized every Mercedes-Benz I sat in, quickly saying “Rubbish! Absolute rubbish!” loudly as I exited each one.

I got a photo of me in a Corvette convertible that I'll put up in my next post.

Yes, I am the"show" at every "auto show".

When I go to the LA Auto Show this December, I’ll try and snag some video of me walking around blabbing my self-important opinions on cars.

Until then, drive well my friends.

Oh, and at the Scion booth, I told the lady working it that I owned a tC, and she gave me a sweet Scion beanie. So expect to see that on me quite a bit.

That’s what made post-surgery yesterday so much more interesting than last week’s post-surgery Friday.

Last week all I had afterwards was the inability to walk on my foot and a feeling more of annoyance than pain. But last night, it was something completely different.

Thanks to the fact that skin had to be removed, the annoyance was gone and the pain had checked-in for the evening. I have a tolerance for pain that is well above average, but for whatever reason or another, the pain of this surgery was nearly unbearable last night.

It was a sharp pain in my big toe that would spread down my foot and into my heel. It felt like someone had stabbed my toe with scissors and dragged it slowly down my foot. It was bad enough to cause me to have problems sleeping (plus, having to keep the foot elevated put me in an awkward position. I’m a stomach sleeper, not someone who can get to sleep easily on their back), so I ended up taking some Tylenol PM. I didn’t end up sleeping anyhow, but at least I wasn’t in pain for a few hours.

Couple this with the Formula 1 team I’m pulling for, McLaren, losing all its Constructors Championship Points this week after they were caught spying on Ferrari and the fact that I haven’t been able to write decently for the past month and a half and you’ve got one frustrated Jared.

Jared is confused: he has hurt himself in his confusion.

But, if there is a silver lining to all of this, I’ve had a lot of down time to look inward and be my former self of introspective thought. Boy, did I find a lot of thing I need to change and fast. Bad eating habits, cursing, getting my patience back and some other things are at the top of my list.

“Invisible” passed 100 hits on fanfiction.net. Huzzah!

If there’s another thing I’m happy about, it’s some damn good music I stumbled upon. A group with the peculiar name of “Godspeed You! Black Emperor”. They’re an instrumental rock band much like “Explosions in the Sky” but have been around for longer than them.

They make some unbelievably beautiful music. They write their music in movements, much like how classical music is written.

I’ve got a blog in the works talking about all the different cars I’ve used in my stories, so be ready for that.

It’s been a long time since I blogged purely about writing, so now I’ll make it a short time.

Chapter 2 of “Invisible” went up about 24 hours ago, and it was nearly 2,500 short of my target word count. I figured it had been nearly a month and a half since the last update, and I didn’t want to make it two.

500 words per day was my original target, and I haven’t been able to reach that point. I could blame it on work, college and could go as far to say that since I’ve now been able to control my ADHD off of my medication, I have lost just enough focus to prevent me from writing.

Yes, I have ADHD, and yes, I use to take medication for it. I was allowed to stop at the beginning of August thanks to the progress I showed in several trails of not taking my medication for a week.

But no, I’m not going to pin the blame on anything but myself. I have not motivated myself enough to sit down and should be doing a better job. It took me a month to realize this, but now I’m back in a groove and have written at least 300 words tonight towards “Invisible’s” next chapter.

All it takes is that little voice in my mind saying, “Lazy! Get yourself in gear! Like, Ferrari gear!”

So here I am now 200 words away from my daily goal.

Progress on “Invisible” hath resumed.

Today was the first day in a long time where you didn’t sweat while outside. In case you don’t live in So Cal or live here and under a rock, since the beginning of last week, temperatures have pushed passed 100F. Monday was the peak, and it hit 107F on the mercury where I live. Downtown Los Angeles was near our mark on the mercury, which even temperatures over 95F are rare in summer. It’s now about 25F cooler during the day, and at night you can actually describe it as “chilly”.

Tomorrow I’m visiting one of the guys who got me out of my shell when it came to writing. I use to be very quiet about writing, but not after I took Creative Writing and had him as a professor. So a visit was in order anyhow.

The Angels are sticking it to baseball like never before. I’m saying we now have a 85% chance of reaching the post-season. So If we don’t, it’ll be a shocker.

The day after tomorrow is the beginning of Formula 1’s visit to Monza, Italy. It is the fastest track on the F1 circuit, with the cars peaking out around 235mph several times during the long straight-aways that dominate the course.

Here's a video of Felipe Massa's qualifying lap from last year's race at Monza. Hopefully this will give you an idea of the speeds, technicality of the driving and the sheer g-force a driver goes through during this race.

It was a typical August for me, which means it wasn’t fun at all. August is usually the month that my “high on life” ends and I have to end up taking the next few months to rebuild it.

The inactivity in my writing also carried over into running/cycling. Course, I’ve now contracted my second ingrown toenail in less than a year. It’s frustrating because I’ve literally done everything and them some of what I was told to do to prevent it from returning, but lo-and-behold its back. What makes it even more frustrating is that I can’t run.

Yeah, I should be riding my bike, but alas, the front rim is warped, causing it to rub against the front brakes when it rotates and slow me down considerably. The way I ride is much like how Lance Armstrong rides, which is with a high cadence, which is the cycling term for the revolutions you make with the pedals. Armstrong on average is somewhere near 120rpm on his pedals, and I aim for that when riding, but I can’t since my bike is semi-busted.

I’ve also made up my mind to invest in a decent road bike. I’ll be dropping a little over a grand into a bike, but its well worth it.

Been listening to a lot of U2, Explosions In The Sky and Boards of Canada again. I've also gotten into Kanye West thanks to his song "Stronger". He was kind enough to collaborate with Daft Punk for the song, and included them in the video for the song. Anyone who uses Daft Punk and recognizes them like that is on my good side.

So yeah, writing hasn’t been all that good lately, but I think broke through my mental barrier today because I drilled out about 300 words in less than an hour, which in case you don't know much about writing, that's quite a burst.

I want to talk about how I’ve been feeling lately, which is purely amazing, but I think I’ll save that for a later blog so I can get back to writing.

Asuki is my new puppy. Born on June 30th at 2am. She is 7 weeks old as of today.

Asuki is a mix breed of Poodle, Pomeranian and Maltese. She weighs 2.6 lbs and has already learned that grass is the proper place to poop or pee. Quite amazing for a puppy I've had for only 24 hours.

My other dog, Friskee, is not exactly happy about the new puppy (and that's the understatment of my life). But give her a few weeks, and she'll be fine.

This is why I'm currently not writing and will probably not be writing for the next month since I have taken on the full responsibility of raising her.

But then again, with a face as cute as this, could you resist?

I also saw something else that was cute while we were at dinner to celebrate my parents 31st Wedding Anniversary.

A Corvette Z06: my dream car.

That's a $75,000 car and can beat a Ferrari F430, which is a $250,000 car. It's a poor man's Ferrari killer.

A few weeks ago I wrote a small little article.

“Fan Fiction and Sex: It’s like Peanut-Butter and Jelly – and just as sticky”

It was a small attempt at writing a blog to voice an opinion of mine on the subject that is buried within its title. It appears now that the article caught the attention of someone, and now is linked on the very site that I used and cited as my sources for the information within that blog entry.

Forgive me, for I have committed a writing sin…slightly.

Usually the smart thing to do before starting a story is to write down a plot and then edit said plot. My writing sin is that I didn’t write down the plot for “Invisible”.

Sure, I’ve got it chiseled in my mind, but even that isn’t enough. True, I’ve got some basic plot written down on paper in front of me, but it’s terribly disorganized. So last night, I finally got on with it. I really hate to keep plugging it, but it’s such a good system, it deserves another plug, as this realization that I had not written down my plot was spurred on by reading the article “7 Steps for Better Writing” on Wogan May’s wordpress blog.

“Invisible” now looks to be a real story.

The a total planned word count is 120,000 with 30 chapters, allowing me 4,000 words a chapter. My aim of total words written per day is a minimum of 500. I’d much rather like to start at a minimum of 1,000 words per day, but with a job like mine (and I’m not complaining about it either! It’s awesome!) I’d much rather like to figure out how to manage writing time before jumping into the deep end.

A simple plot map has been my top priority since beginning it last night. Currently it sits at eight chapters, so I’m almost a third of the way done! Hopefully I’ll have it completed by this weekend. I’m off all next week, so if I finish it in time, I can begin to drill out my words per day.

Other than that, progress has been coming along with the regular swerving to avoid potholes.

I’m now using potholes as metaphors for situations in which nothing seems to fall onto the page?

Wait, am I even using potholes as metaphors?

I’d like to take the time tonight to talk about the Digimon fan fiction fandom (more like “fandumb”). Yes, not only does it sound redundant, it most likely is redundant when viewed from a perspective constantly moving away.

This all comes out of a recent discovery of mine: that the fan fiction community actually has its own Wiki-esque page.

It’s called Fan History¹. A Wiki for the fan fiction world.

Curiously, I clicked on “Digimon”², expecting to read about the great fan fiction writers whose marks are still felt even today. Much to my dissatisfaction, at least two of the writers listed have an underlying foundation via the usage of sex in fan fiction.

So, if one were to base their opinion off of the usage of this wiki, they could come to the conclusion that at the bare minimum, 40% of people who write Digimon fan-fiction write mostly based on the principles of pornography³?

$10 says it’s more likely over 50%. And $10 more says that the majority of the remaining percentage left over are based purely in sappy romance.

I enjoy being a minority.

Honestly, are these the prime examples of what Digimon fan-fiction is all about? Relationships, and even further, stories based on nothing but sexual fantasies that’d make Freud’s toupee spin?

I’d like to hope not, but apparently this is the ideal in these modern times for Digimon fan-fiction writers. Sub-par soft-core pornography and all out pornography.

The majority of these people are thinking that they can take it, smear sex and relationships all over it and call it art. Sometimes it reads like a bad attempt at making another “Borat”.

“You wanta’ make sex?”

These people value their elementary writings to be untouchable and anything without original characters falling hopelessly in love on the level of teenagers with out of control hormones or, even worse, grotesque usage of sex is something to be looked down upon. Arrogance runs wild within this massive group.

Is that fair to us who are trying to write legitimate stories?

In everyone else’s opinions, the answer is simple: “You bet. Now let’s go have a screw.”

If you think it isn’t, get up out of that wet spot and let me hear you!
