When you start the program, you are presented with such UI:

Left side is occupied by a word you have to type in kana and its translation + two buttons I will describe later.

Right side is occupied by buttons with kana characters on them and acts just as on-screen keyboard, you tap on buttons - you type text. Only keys required to enter correct answer are shown. Thus said, there may be two buttons, there may be ten buttons.

If there is too much buttons, they are split to more than one columns.
BIG FAT NOTE: the screenshot above is obsolete as there is no "reset" button + there are non-unique keys on on-screen keyboard, but still, code splitting keyboard by columns still lives in today's code.

Now, to the buttons on the left side:
"Reset" - it clears what you typed. This is useful if you accidentally (or not) clicked wrong button.
"Check" - checks correctness of your answer.

All these changes helped me to:
* delete a lot of lines of code
* make you click on screen less times

You should be aware that binaural beats needs full stereo channels, so if you plan to make an mp3 out of the wav (provided by sbagen) please make sure you are not using any joint-stereo or similar features. I recommend you to convert the wavs to mp3 only after you have achieved 100% success rate with wavs.

Yeah it's just that hot and uncomfortable. Though I hate the fact that Jason ended up having to work this weekend I do envy the fact that he's in an air conditioned office. My man is like a lizard and always wears a long sleeve shirt to work with another shirt beneath it because he gets cold from the AC. Oddly enough I do think that we've all  adapted nicely to living without AC and I don't have the ginormous utility bills that most people have.

We never had AC while growing up here. Dad was too much of a penny pincher to invest in central air and too much of a DuPont safety fanatic to have window units plugged into the outlets. As a kid I grumbled about not having air but now as an adult I can thank him for making it so that I could tolerate the heat. There were of course the years when I didn't live here. I had central AC in all my homes and I kept our home chilled to a nipply 68 degrees in the summer.

I've since become less of an energy hog and am more careful about energy usage. Of course many would say that I'm an oxymoron. If you were to paint a picture of me you could do so with me in a bandana, gypsy skirt, woven sandals hugging a tree while listening to Anouk on my iPod. I am the Modern Hippie and very guilty of loving her gadgetry.  Why only yesterday I was driving with my oldest son LP and youngest son Dan to Delaware to get a mobile phone fixed. After waiting for 45 mins. for a tech to talk to us we were told that we'd have to call the company that handles the insurance plan I have on the phones.

I hate Sprint.

I decided to head to Best Buy after treating my guys to lunch at Red Lobster. Remember that visual I gave you of me with a bandana, gypsy skirt, sandals and iPod?  Now picture me entering a Best Buy and inhaling deeply. There is a moment of pure childlike glee when I smell the electronics. Some people like the smell of new cars, others like the smell of new furniture and others enjoy the smell of their gardens but this girl loves the smell of digital gadgetry at its' finest. I know there are a few of you who can relate. Best Buy is to me what a coffee shop is to a java junkie.

I wanted to purchase a new pair of speakers for my computer because like my Dad I love my sounds. I have a keen ear for perfectly equalized music. My fingers can glide over an equalizer and find the settings for any type of music and I owe it all to my Dad. Call me spoiled, I don't care but I need the sounds that emit from my pc, my TV, my car stereo and any other audio device to be clean and full. Bose should have been my middle name.  The poor sales guy never stood a chance as he smiled and made his way toward me "Is there something I can help ou with?" With a wave of a hand and a smirk I snatched up the large box from the shelf without batting an eye. "No I think I've got this one handled but thank you!" With that I marched to the register to pay for my latest trophy.  When J arrived home from work he was serenaded in the driveway by the sounds coming from the house.

J: You bought a new stereo today.... (he stopped mid-sentence when he saw the speaker configuration around my desk)  Babe, 5.1? Do you seriously need 5.1 surround on your... ( I cranked the sound up as one of his favorite tunes started to play) .. Oh damn girl toss some System of a Down on those bad boys!!"

We're such geeks.

I hang my laundry out to dry using the warmth of the sun instead of an energy hogging dryer... yet I have kickass speakers on my PC. In my mind it works.

Coinciding with the release of the iPhone 3G, Apple has finally debuted TV and movie downloads through the iTunes store in Australia. Makes you wonder: what have all those early-adopters with AppleTV been doing with it? Just kidding, I know it's still a very cool box for streaming mp4s onto your TV even without iTunes coming along for the ride.

Anyway, the selection is currently pitifully small and overpriced -- although the inclusion of Chris Lillie's Summer Heights High and uber-hit The Hills should keep tweens punters happy.

Personally, I'm more psyched about the Apps store, which came online recently. While it's obviously been timed for the iPhone 3G launch, it is a welcome reprieve for iPod Touch users who couldn't stomach jailbreaking to get cool apps. An upgrade to iPhone V 2.0 is required though, and it costs $US9.99.

Apparently there's already hundreds of apps online (ie. Beatmaker, below), with more to come. While many of the coolest cost money, it's refreshing to see a lot of useful tools being offered for free.

Ahead of the summer Olympics, Apple on Saturday will open the doors to its first retail store in China, a glass-enclosed high-profile shop situated in Beijing's newest retail development: the Village at Sanlitun.

Keeping with his tradition of attending Apple's gala international retail launches, our friend Gary Allen from ifoAppleStore has made the grueling journey across the Pacific to be on hand for the store's grand opening.

Allen reports that Apple's space within the Sanlitun complex "is nearly invisible from the street," because it sits within the center's inner courtyard. "But once you see it, it’s impressive -- a three-story glass façade covering two visible floors, and a level covered with stainless steel..."

Inside, customers will find the usual array of Mac and iPod products, as well as a sprawling Genius Bar staffed with technical support specialists. However, one thing they won't find is the iPhone, as Apple's negotiations with Chinese wireless carriers remain a work-in-progress.

A good time will be had by all. No doubt.

As you can see from this picture, it's a drawn-in picture of the baby's little butt and legs with an arrow pointing to his...*ahem*...manhood...thus proving that it is, indeed, a boy.

Now this is a picture that I thought was pretty cool...if you look closely, below the word face, you can see his little head and face.  Isn't he a cutie?  :P  You can really make out his cheeks and nose.

So, that's that...we're gonna have us a little Hammy running around...although we were sort of hoping for a girl, we're coming around to the idea of a boy.  I'm really looking forward to the idea of having somebody to go fishing with, to play video games with, and all that kinda cool stuff.  He's definitely going to be a tiny nerd just like his dad...hehe.

En Mac OS X se cuenta con diferentes comandos que te permiten obtener capturas de pantalla.

Para accesarlos deberás hacerlo con las siguientes combinaciones de teclas:

Combinación de Tecla	Resultado
cmd + shift + 3	Captura la pantalla completa y la guarda como imágen.
cmd + shift + 4	Captura la pantalla seleccionada y la guarda como imágen.
cmd + shift + 4 + barra espaciadora	Captura ventanas, menú, etc y los guarda como imágen.

A todos estos comandos si presionamos la tecla Control, en vez de guardar la captura como una imágen, podrás copiarlo al clipboard.

A primera vista se ven muy complicados para obtener únicamente una captura de pantalla, sin embargo es una forma muy flexible de hacerlo.

This is not just a lack of respect for animals, but also a lack of respect for life. It seems like the US government is trying to piss off rest of the world as much as they can, just to see how far they can go. From my point of view they have gone far enough.

Stephanie Lenz is an angry Pennsylvania mother who refuses to back down from the music industry.

Lenz's attorneys were in federal district court on Friday morning, trying to thwart a motion to dismiss her lawsuit against Universal Music Group. A year ago, the music label ordered YouTube to pull down a 30-second video she shot of her infant son dancing to Prince's song "Let's Go Crazy."

Lenz, who resides in a rural Pennsylvania area, claims that her video is protected under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and the Fair Use provision in copyright law. She fought the order, and eventually, Universal Music abandoned any claim that she violated Prince's copyright. YouTube has since reposted her clip.

Now Lenz is out to teach the music industry a lesson.

What Lenz and her attorneys at the Electronic Frontier Foundation want are for media companies to stop sending take-down notices in a "willy nilly" fashion and to make sure that they have a legitimate claim of copyright violation before acting.

These schmuck bureaucrats should learn not to mess with Mom...

René stellt fest dass die deutschen Blogs sehr wohl funktionieren und dass für ihn persönlich das Problem eher darin liegt dass viele Content liefern der keinen interessiert.

Ich werde mir mal ansehen wie man auf die Idee kommt das Blogs in DE nicht funktionieren..

Der Normalfall ist hier nunmal scheinbar der Ausflugsblogger der über seine neueste Reise berichten will, nebenbei etwas von seiner Wordpress-Optimierung erzählt (weil er sich damit beschäfftigt hat) und grüße an alle anderen bekannten Alpha-Blogger rausschickt. Klo-Content alá "Mein Stuhl sieht komisch aus" ist nunmal nicht jedermanns geschmack (übrigens genau der selbe Grund warum ich aufgehört habe Twitter zu nutzen...) und Otto-Normal-Surfer wollen nicht wissen welches Wordpress-Plugin wieviele Vorteile für den Blogger bringt denn Otto-Normal-Surfer SIND KEINE BLOGGER!

Wer also solche Inhalte vermitteln will erreicht genau die Leute die sich für das selbe interessieren: andere Alpha-Blogger die ebenfalls Klo-Content posten und dringend die neuesten Wordpress-Plugins ausprobieren wollen, damit hat man dann auch gleich ein paar nette Verlinkungen und eine schöne Diskussion

Doch jetzt stellt sich also ein Teil dieser Leute hin und beschwert sich dass die Presse und die breite Öffentlichkeit sich nicht für genau den selben Mist interessieren? Was habt ihr erwartet? Ihr seid gut verlinkt aber ihr bringt keine Inhalte, welche Inhalte sollte die Presse denn aufgreifen?

Wer Links verteilen, neue Anwendungen demonstrieren, Code-Tuts posten oder jegliche andere Art für "die Allgemeinheit" interessanten Content liefern will, der kann das tun und im allgemeinen funktioniert das auch... der einzige Abstrich den man machen muss ist die Verlinkung von Seitens der Alpha-Blogger, denn die verlachen solche Blogs nur und wundern sich wer das lesen sollte.

Es gibt natürlich auch in deutschland gute Blogs die hochwertige Inhalte posten, auch wenn ich an dieser Stelle weniger Nerdcore (Sorry René aber Youtube-Inhalte und Geek-Toys sind für mich interessant, für meine Leser und Kumpels evtl. auch noch, aber nichts was die Presse aufgreifen würde) sondern eher Blogs wie der von Fefe die sich auch mal mit Politik und Wirtschaft auseinander setzen und kurze Prägnante Aussagen kombiniert mit Links und Schlussfolgerungen zusammenstellen.

Olive Riley, había colgado en su blog más de 70 entradas desde febrero del 2007 sobre la vida moderna y sus experiencias durante el siglo XX. Riley nació el 20 de octubre de 1899, vivió dos guerras mundiales, tuvo tres hijos y trabajó como camarera y cocinera.

La anciana se comunicaba a través de su blog con personas de otros continentes y declaraba que le gustaba la notoriedad que había adquirido porque le permitía mantener la mente fresca.

Apple Senior Vice President of Retail Ron Johnson mentioned that a second Beijing location will open in 2009 in Qianmen. He also said the company will open Apple Stores in "Shanghai and beyond," but did not specify dates or locations.
