Did you know there are Asteroids called Child, House, and Industria? You can already imagine what they correspond to in meaning and impact in your life—just from their names! And in fact they very much do tell us valuable information about those subjects. Why?

Perhaps because they enter our consciousness via the process of human Naming. Perhaps because those cosmic rocks are imbued with energies that correspond to experiences in human life. We don’t really know.

The point is that Stars, Planets, and Asteroids (or dwarf Planets) are Astrological constructs for our behaviors and events!

As you know most of these bodies are name after Mythological figures—gods and goddesses of Greece, Rome, India, Egypt, Babylonia, and so on. Those stories shouldn’t logically or scientifically have anything to do with human events and behaviors. But they do!

In fact the stories from 2500 and 7500 years ago frame the nature of the corresponding celestial bodies and our bodies, along with our minds, feelings, and events. This truth has a very spiritual foundation. It unifies the ancient past with all of humanity. It ties the Greek Psyche hunting for her Eros to you and your seeking. It blends your ambition (or the lack of it) to the driving concerns of Saturn and time.

Well over 14,000 Asteroids have been given at least numbers and quite a number of identifying names, and these remnants of some cosmic body or bodies play significant roles in our lives, whether we’re aware of it or not—just as the sun affects a blind person who has never seen anything of it rays and blaze.

Aesculapia, Asclepius, Askalaphus, Hygieia all deal with health and well being, along with other healing energies like Hekate, Circe, and Medea. We know this from 1) their myths, and 2) empirical evidence that you can do yourself. Just watch the positions and aspects speak out in natal, transit, progressed, Solar Return, Lunar Return, and Key Cycle charts. (Well okay, you don’t have a computer or the Astrology programs, and you haven’t even heard of these asteroids….) Still the evidence is verifiable, and that’s what I’m here for.

We can just notice that when the Asteroid Aesculapia was within a degree of your Libran Ascendant, you suffered pains in your lower back. Libra corresponds to the kidneys, and Aesculapia deals with illness and remedy to your personal self, your body), so we might suggest you speak to your doctor about a possible kidney infection, especially if Saturn or Hades is aspected.

We can track what happened during the last passes to this place or to your 6th House of health with the astro-computer’s dynamic abilities.

Actually with midpoints and 70 Asteroids there are dozens and dozens of points that yield specific and accurate information on this and any subject.

PS For those of you in Southern Oregon. You didn't miss the Grants Pass Body, Mind, Spirit Faire for May at the Fairgrounds! It's this 2nd Saturday this month (May 10th). I'll be speaking and showing slides on this Asteroid-Star-Astrology-Spirituality subject at noon.

Et la première phrase de ce livre, trouvée sur amazon.com, me plaisait beaucoup : This book grew out of our need to be healthy and re-own the powers of naturally healing ourselves.
Introduction
How To Best Use This Book
1 - On The Rag & Other Menstrual Rituals
2 - Infertility
3 - Herbal Birth Control
4 - Anaphrodisiacs
5 - Aphrodisiacs
6 - Herbs For The Mind
7 - Self-Health
8 - Balancers & Toners
9 - Pregnancy, Childbirth, Lactation
10 - The Menopause : The Change
Glossary
Bibliography
Appendices

The principles of Natural Hygiene are based upon fulfilling the inherent needs of the body. Fresh air, pure water, sunshine, vigorous exercise, plenty of rest and sleep, emotional wellbeing, along with a diet of whole, ripe, raw, organic fruits, vegetables and tender greens combined for optimal digestion, together create the overall health of the human organism. Herbert Shelton defines hygiene thusly:

"...that branch of biology which designates the conditions upon which health depends and the means by which it may be sustained in all its virtue and purity while we have it, and the means upon which its restoration rests when we have lost it. – It is the scientific application of the principles of nature in the preservation and restoration of health.”

I consider myself a natural hygienist. I primarily subscribe to the ideas postulated by Herbert Shelton and further taken to their scientific and logical extent by Dr. Douglas Graham. I believe this to be the biggest contribution I make towards the betterment of the environment. These philosophies encompass much more than diet alone but how one chooses to view food can make one of the single greatest impacts to the health of our planet, and to all of humanity for that sake. The source of much of the plastic trash I find on the beach is the grocery store. Theodore Roszak paints a chilling picture of the supermarket as villain:

“Those who anguish over a starving mankind on the easy assumption that there just is not enough land and resources to feed the hungry might do well to pay a special kind of visit to their local supermarket. Not to shop, but to observe and to meditate on what they see before them and have always taken for granted. How much of the world’s land and labor was wasted producing the tobacco, the coffee, the tea, the refined cane sugars, the polished rice, the ice creams, the candies, the cookies, the soft drinks, the thousand and one non-nutritional luxuries one finds there? The grains that become liquor, the fruits and vegetables that lost all their food value going into cans and jars full of syrups and condiments, the potatoes and corn that became various kinds of chips, crackles, crunchies, and yum-yums, the cereals that became breakfast novelties less nourishing than the boxes they are packed in, the wheat that became white breads and pastry flours... How many forests perished to package these non-foods? How many resources went into transporting and processing them? How much skilled energy went into advertising and merchandising them? There they stand in our markets, row upon row, aisle upon aisle of nutritional zero, gaily boxed and packed, and costing those fancy prices...”

At the end of the day we are the true villains; the supermarkets are only catering to the consumer. Cut it off at the real source; stop poisoning the earth and stop poisoning your self. If it comes in a plastic wrapper, bottle or container, a tin can, glass jar or cardboard box, don’t buy it and most certainly don’t eat it. Eat real, whole, unpackaged, unprocessed and unrefined foods and bring reusable canvas bags every time you shop. Don’t wait for state, county or city ordinances to correct things; imagine the impact this one simple shift in ideology could make in the world today.
