I was mozying around the net, trying to find anything interesting. I guess I dug a little too deep when I found a large... VERY large... inflatable vagina. When I first looked at the pictures, I thought "nah, it couldn't be." But no, I was wrong. It really is called the Blowup Vagina.

So why did Airworks Inflatables create a monster-sized vagina that looks kinda like a flower? Apparently, it was made for a theater production in the Netherlands in which a huge vagina pops out of a closet and eats up the main character. WOAH. Talk about freaky!

Because I couldn't find any copyright info on the site, I decided to post up one of the images of this huge inflatable vagina AND the video they linked up. Amazing, huh? :-)

IMAGE:

This outfit has literally got to be one of the most weirdest i have ever seen on a celebrity and i seriously can't even think of what she was attempting to pull off when she decided to wear it.

Firstly; the dress. Everyone knows that if you are small figured or have a boyish shape, huge, frumpy tent-dresses just aren't the way forward. Wear something that accentuates your curves. She just looks like she's been wrapped up in a massive roll of multi-colored crepe paper!

The bag i like. In fact, the bag is the only thing about this mess that i like, even though it doesn't really go with the outfit at all.

And Mary Kate- What is that on your head? A halo? A tyre? An inflatable pool ring? Actually... i'm not even going to comment.

Bounce Houses and Moonwalks - What To Know Before The Party

Bounce houses and Moonwalks are a pe

Bounce Houses and Moonwalks - What To Know Before The Party

Bounce houses and Moonwalks are a perfect addition to birthday parties. Children of all ages love them. Their big size and bright colors create a festive atmosphere. And they bring an excitement to the birthday party that is hard to match.

Before renting a bounce house there are several things to keep in mind.

Bounce houses should be rented for children ages 3 - 12.
For safety reasons children need to be able to exit an inflatable on their own. Since children under the age of 3 have difficulty exiting on their own - bounce houses and moonwalks are not appropriate for children under 3. For older children many companies have interactive equipment that is more appropriate for teens and adults ages 13 and up.

Rent the appropriate bounce house for your party size.
When making reservations let the company know how many children will be attending the party and their ages. They will be able to guide you on an appropriate size that will fit your budget and your guests.

Be sure the company has insurance.

Ask what type of insurance they carry and be specific with your questions.

You need to be sure the children using the inflatable will be covered if there is a structural malfunction. (Malfunctions are rare, but as with all amusement devises there are inherent risks.) If a rental company can not service a public park or school then they do not have insurance.

Many times rental companies that have prices that are too good to be true are operating without a business license or insurance. Don't let your kids use equipment from a rental company that doesn't have you or your childrens best interest in mind.

You will have to sign a liability waiver upon delivery. This is necessary because you also need to take responsibility for the equipment and how it is used. The company’s insurance is for accidents that would occur beyond anyone’s control. It is not for accidents that occur because there was no supervision or the rules were not being followed.

Make sure to get a written contract.
Have everything in writing - specific dates, pick-up / delivery times and prices - so there are no surprises.

Inspect the bounce house or moonwalk when it is delivered.
If there is a problem - do not sign the paperwork. The delivery person should fix the problem or let their office know that there is a problem and find a solution for you. Once you sign the paperwork you are accepting the equipment “as - is”.

Ask the delivery person to wipe down the mat inside.
Good companies will do this automatically, but to be safe ask them if they have done it. The delivery person should carry cleaning products with them.

Rules to keep the party guests safe:

Supervision is a must at ALL times.
Never leave an inflatable unattended when children are inside.

Don't overload the equipment by having too many children inside at once.
Check with the rental company to find out how many children can use the moonwalk at a time. Accidents can occur when the unit is overloaded, unattended or the rules are not being followed.

Children using the bounce house should be grouped by ages.
Keep age groups together - ages 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12.

Unplug or power off the unit in high winds or bad weather.
Never allow children inside during these conditions.

Following these guidelines will insure your guests have a wonderful … and safe … experience at the birthday party.

A special thank you to the wonderful people at Moon -Walker Party Service Central for providing the information for this post.
Alix's favorite thing was the fountain in the middle of hole number five.

Mom and Dad came too, and we had chicken fingers and french fries for dinner. Mom liked the fact that the kids played golf for free, while Dad enjoyed the Smith's hot dogs and really great french fries.

First the pin. It's a basket ball pin, and can be found at the Pizza Parlour, but get your oven gloves as it's in the oven. :D

Now, the catalogue secrets!

Click the Surf Beach Towel for the Inflatable Dragon
Click the Seaweed for the Clam
Click the Sunset Painting for the Lava Lamp

And the earthquake! Most probably to do with the next mission (Isn't it funny how a 'disaster' breaks out right beofre a new mission?!) It has damaged the whole town, which means the Coffee Shop, the Dance Club and the Gift Shop is, well broken!

Hello everyone! This is Clonez, administrator of skydays147.wordpress.com. What better way is there

Hello everyone! This is Clonez, administrator of skydays147.wordpress.com. What better way is there to start off the summer than an awesome water party? Of course, Club Penguin was not as creative with this one, because it was a bring-back, but the party turned out to be a great success among the newcomers. I have an urge to talk about the yellow inflatable duck. Yes, we all know it was brought back. I remember at last years party, everyone was talking about how it was going to come back, and it never did. When all of the penguins realized it turned green, nobody wore it. For some reason, I remember reading some other penguin's wordpress on what looks good with the green duck. It was kind of weird, you know? Because, lets face it, it was so ugly back then. Now all you see old penguins wear at this party is the green duck. It is just going to continue switching back and forth. This sort of relates to the story with the red and blue propeller caps. Okay, now the main attraction for this week: the Water Party. The main difference in this water party is that penguins are able to go to the underground. Well, that didn't turn out to be a good thing. Club Penguin went way over their heads on the crab cracking the glass story, it's not that big of a deal.. They included a pictorial, a demonstration, and even made a movie about it! I like it when Club Penguin gives its history, but I think that the whole story with the crab was exaggerated. Please don't assume that the party is all that bad. There were some very mentionable decorations. Just like at the Medieval Party, the Water Party included a special room; this one dedicated to an inflatable whale. This was an improvement on last years "tiny" whale at the iceberg. Also, just like the last two summer parties, this one included the inflatable octopus in the Dojo. The octopus was and still is a well-loved addition to the parties that penguins have repeatedly asked to bring back. Personally, I think the octopus is okay. I am upset that Club Penguin removed the gap in between the octopus. You used to be able to walk into it and it looked like your head was sticking out of it. I have no clue why I like that. Probably one of the best rooms at this party is the dock. The castle, even though it was brought back, was been a favorite of mine. It is funny to watch penguins fight over who is going to be king or queen; whatever status. Especially on popular servers: the fun never ends. Now, I have a question to ask all of the readers. What is the point of that green hose that keeps following us from room to room? It is located in the bottom right corner of the screen, and it doesn't seem to do much. I mean, all you can do is spray penguins, but it is not visible from their point of view. Whatever it is, I still this it was pointless for Club Penguin to add it in.

Overall Party Rating: ***

Who could forget about the new play that came out today? Okay, I have to say that this one is quite good. The set is impressive, the costumes: even more impressive. Especially the togas: leopard and zebra. It really does not matter; they could be either gender, although the costume trunk seems to separate the girls from the boys one. I remember a week ago when the clothing catalog came out. There was this one item: the sarong, which looked so much like one of the togas. It was fun pretending to be "Tarzan", even though the clothing item was meant for girls. Also in the costume catalog, the Tiki masks. Just like the togas, Club Penguin separated them by gender, although you could wear either one. It is fun to wear them, I liked to try and scare penguins with them of course because they are so scary in a way. Okay, more about the play. The only problem is the script. Yeah, it is good, but it does not really catch on. It's funny to see all of the messed up words that Club Penguin put together.

All right, it may never happen. Chances are, someone will decide there's a far better way to make lots of money and this will be the last you or I will hear of it.

But if it does happen, I want one! Why? Well, simply...

" [...] it's the fact that you buy the car online, it gets shipped to you in two cardboard boxes, and the estimated assembly time is less than two hours. Perhaps it's that the car is made out of "airbags" - the same polymer materials used to cushion NASA's rovers when they landed on Mars. Then again, it could be the company's claim that you can drive the car off a cliff without serious injury, and that it will float in a flood or tsunami."

Just imagine the fun we could all have, driving our cars off cliffs! Wouldn't that be wonderful and... well, bouncy? (Yeah, okay, I can't drive... but would it matter?)

Originally uploaded by CleverGirlBek

Wear what?

Fanny packs?

I’m glad to see my mother is up on this. She hasn’t stopped wearing hers since she hit 58 a decade ago. It’s her dog walking gear bag. Handily manages the poo bags, her mile long Virginia Slims, a lighter and the keys to all of the gates in the fortress...er...gated community, she lives in... I’m glad the State of Florida has launched this initiative.

Perhaps the fanny pack campaign will spread far and wide- Click It or Ticket seems to touch many states, perhaps Wear It Florida will do the same. People everywhere will be buckling up their fanny packs and their seat belts. Movie stars will be spotted at shmancy red carpet events and instead of “Who are you wearing?” and a toe to crown pan the lenses will zoom in on those belted bags of glorious hands free convenience.

In all seriousness, I have seen the commercials. Florida has launched a campaign to promote boating safety through the wearing of life jackets.

Anyone who is around boats and boat supplies probably knows that the little “fanny pack” depicted in the logo is actually one of those fancy and convenient self-inflating flotation devices. Basically, they inflate when you hit the water. The majority of self-inflating pfd's have the familiar look of more traditional personal flotation devices but without the bulk. Only a few are "pouches" that look like the ones in the logo. So which graphic would have taught more on glance? Fanny pack or traditional life jacket shape? (maybe a bright orange to depict "safety"? just an idea...)

I did a little research... Turns out that in 2007 there were 77 boat related fatalities. 70% of the accidents occurred in situations, if I am understanding this correctly, where the operator of the boat did not have formal boating and water safety training.

Here is what I am finding very interesting...

Boat operators under the age of 21, in Florida, are required to have a boating education card (signifying that they have completed boat/water safety courses...courses are even available online).

According to the report available from Florida Fish and Wildlife (http://myfwc.com/law/boating/) 51% of the folks who perished in boating accidents/mishaps drowned. That is (rounding down) 39 people in 2007. The rest died from “trauma” or “other”....

Interestingly, in these fatal incidents, 87% of the operators were over 21 years old. (to balance that 19% of the operators were in the 21-35 age bracket and theoretically would have been under 21 and would have been required to have completed a safety education course as the act to require that of the under 21 crowd was put into play in 1996. Note that this still leaves 68% of operators in fatal boating accidents in Florida in 2007 as not required to have completed a boating safety course. By the way, the under 21 crowd only accounts for 13% of fatal boating incidents in 2007. (Numbers not adding up? 1% did not have ages reported)

So, 39 people drowned in boating incidents in 2007.

I assumed, with the amount of advertising the Wear It campaign has been sucking up, that the number would be much higher.

So why do I care? Well, I found the fanny pack thing funny. I know what it is, but I’m betting that if you showed that logo to anyone who is not already boat and water safety savvy they will probably guess it’s that fashion icon of the 1980’s- the “waist bag”...

Now, if 70% of accidents occurred on boats where the operator had no formal safety education, then couldn’t we assume that those 70% might not know about the inflatable flotation devices and that they might, on a logo, look like a fanny pack? Especially if the folks are not year round water/boat folks, I don’t see how this logo is going to create any recognition for water safety in the audience that needs to be getting this information and getting it now. However, any Florida-based manufacturers of fanny pack souvenirs may want to hop aboard this campaign.

Anyway, the other day I was looking for some Florida agency issued water and pool safety printables- bookmarks, stickers, anything at all to add to the goody bags for the last day of preschool. I found tons of information on child drownings in Florida and safety suggestions for parents and caregivers to implement, but I found nothing geared for kids. I found printables from states that are not even in the “top 10” drowning states... Perhaps this sort of thing is available in person and not online...One thing I have noticed since moving here is not that much information regarding our state, state offices, and procedures is available online, or at least not easily located or interpretable.

In 2001-2005 an average of 73 kids 0-4 years old died, per year, by unintentional drowning (yes, they specify unintentional.)

In all ages groups an average of 465 people died in unintentional drownings every year between 2001-2005 (which was the last year they published the report). 7% of the total drownings were boating related. 61% occurred in pools or natural water (27% are reported as “other”, 5% were bathtub related).

67% of drowning deaths were in people ages 25+

71%of cases (in 0-4 year old drownings)accessed the pool through a door leading from the home to the pool area. And there really has not been much of a drop in swimming pool related, unintentional drownings in the 0-4 age group since the October 2000 application of the Pool Barrier Law. This tells me that not only are people not using enough layers of security around their pools for whatever reason (expense? aesthetic? there can be many reasons, obviously none of them valid when we are talking about the life of a child, but for what reasons are these layers of safety being breached or not created at all? this definitely warrants further investigation, in my opinion... I think if accidents are happening because of minor oversights, then how can all of us work together to fix those oversights...), it also suggests to me that kids are not being taught rules regarding safety early enough. My kid knows that he cannot leave this house or his grandparents house- and I mean the actual four walls of the house- unless he is holding the hand of one of his parents or grandparents. I believe educating him about this from early on has helped stave off many potential tragedies. I do not believe that any of us are invincible, but keeping him as safe as he can-when he is in sight and out of my sight (by educating him) is my top priority. He cannot experience the joys of life, he will not have the chance to reach his potential, if I do not do my job in teaching him safety. I also was unaware of some of the things that happen when someone drowns- I did not realize that drowning is typically silent. That usually nobody hears a splash of a child falling in the pool. Once I learned that I tightened security. Perhaps if more people knew that they would realize that the minute where they run inside to turn off the kettle or grab the phone is one minute too long....

And the literature available regarding child safety and water is geared at parents- it should also be geared at kids. In a parallel, adults may know plenty about keeping our kids safe in regards to strangers, but unless kids are taught the rules regarding strangers and safety, our knowledge is only as good as our eyesight and as far as the nearest wall or door. It needs to be the same with water safety. It isn’t a complete fix, but education of everyone, might help the numbers some.

Another thing that we are terribly aware of in our family is that adults do drown. We have experienced this tragedy in our family, not too long ago, and I have read about it in our city at least twice since the new year. These adults had one major thing in common. They were swimming alone.

Nobody should swim alone. NOBODY. Perhaps many of these drownings and near drownings (which number over 1000 on average, per year, in Florida) could have been prevented and lives saved if people of all ages would learn and follow this rule.

Perhaps if the State of Florida would take the advertising dollars spent on the potential prevention of the loss of 40 lives each year and spent even just a portion of the time and energy on educating adults and children on the dangers of swimming alone, then perhaps a real dent would be made in these numbers. Potentially, hundreds of lives would be saved each year.

Fanny packs* are just not going to save lives.

*and for the record I understand that the self-inflating devices are more comfortable to wear when on a vessel and more likely to be worn. Detailing that as an option for boaters would be smart, but on a logo it’s not reaching the folks who aren’t educated on the types of safety equipment available in the first place)....

I am planning on going to Southeast Asia in August and Cambodia is one of the countries I will visit

I am planning on going to Southeast Asia in August and Cambodia is one of the countries I will visit. Reading this story made me way more excited to go.

A father, while "playing" with his 5 year old son decided it would be a hoot to play "inflate my kid." I don't know if any of you are familiar with this game but it is the one where the retarded Cambodian father sticks an air hose designed to fill car tires in his 5 year old's anus. Unfortunately the game was cut short when Daddy learned that kids don't inflate. Don't worry, the kid (Sok Sambo is his name) suffered a distended stomach but received medical attention and will be just fine for about 15,000 miles before he may need to be re-inflated and possibly rotated.

My favorite part of the story is that the police have decided not to arrest the man because his only offense was "pure stupidity, against which there is currently no law." The article was silent on whether the legislature was trying to change that...and how many pounds of pressure a properly inflated 5 year old Cambodian boy's stomach should achieve.

(what I'm pretty sure Sok Sambo looked like after he and his father were finished playing.)

Go2marine is pleased to announce the addition of the Sevylor line of towables to their site. Plus, for a limited time, some of the most popular inflatable items are now on sale.

See Sevylor at Go2marine.

Known worldwide as a leading manufacturer of high quality, innovative designs for fun on the water and snow. Sevylor has been manufacturing inflatable boats & kayaks, towables and other fun inflatables from pool lounges to snow sleds for over 60 years.

In 1948 in a city suburb of Vitry, France, an electronics engineer established a company called “Societe Electronique de Vitry, “Sevy” for short. While their main product was electrical accessories, Sevylor set up a unit to use their “high-frequency” welding machines to manufacture PVC consumer goods.

Creation of a small inflatable bathtub named the “Dou Dou” in post-war France brought rave reviews. It was portable, convenient, practical, easy to clean, durable and more affordable than wood and metal.

Quickly outgrowing their facilities, they moved to Buhl, located in the Alsace region of Eastern France near the German border. Once these headquarters were established, the letters “l’or” (French for gold) were added to the name and they began expanding into boats, inflatable pools, pumps, valves and other water toys.

U.S. distribution began in 1959 when Kayak Corporation of America signed an exclusive agreement to sell directly to the public at sport shows and other events. Sevylor developed the first camping mattress, which was sold exclusively through Neiman Marcus.

Sevylor makes history in 1962 with the creation of the inflatable pool mattress with a headrest and circular pockets.

In 1972 Sevylor bought Kayak Corp. and created Sevylor U.S.A. Inc., and development exclusively for the US market began. The Zodiac Group took over Sevylor and all its subsidiaries in 1981.

The creation of the “Ski Bob” in 1986 marked the beginning of the entire towables business.

Now a part of the Stearns Inc. family, all of Sevylor’s products are high quality and feature construction and materials engineered for safety and long life.

I find this story very strange. The pig that Roger Waters uses as a prop at his live shows was let go during the gig. Now that doesn't sound too odd. I went to see Roger Waters in Auckland last January and he did the exact same thing. During the song 'Sheep' from Pink Floyds 'Animals' album, a guy wearing a butchers outfit comes out puppeteering this massive inflatable pig. He walks around through the crowd and you can read all the political slogans on etc, but then he lets it go and off it flies into the sky. That is why this story is odd. $10,000 for the remains of an inflatable pig??? Why??? Surely it doesn't cost that much to make these pigs? And surely he buys them in bulk??? And if, as at the Auckland show, they let it go all the time, why is this one so special? The people that found it also got 4 tickets for life to Coachella! Very strange...

Oh and that lady who thought she was cool 'cos an inflatable pig landed in her driveway? She's not cool, the pig is cool...

So, we went to an indoor inflatable play place yesterday, assuming Thumbelina would love it because

So, we went to an indoor inflatable play place yesterday, assuming Thumbelina would love it because jumping is her favorite thing to do as of late. She was quite happy when we arrived, sitting on daddy's lap in the parking lot to 'drive.'

But, as soon as we got inside and Topher jumped into the inflatables, she wasn't quite so enthused.

Yes, those are Topher's feet. Do you like the "No Diving: Enter Feet First" sign?

After we finally got Topher to, ahem, come back out - we spent most of our time in the small toddler area, which seemed more comfortable for Thumbelina (much to Topher's disappointment).

Since the play place wasn't much of a hit, we decided to head out to the toy store and FINALLY pick out her birthday presents. Yay! We got her an indoor/outdoor jungle gym of sorts. She can climb and slide and do all of her monkeying on it, hopefully. We also picked up a wooden letter puzzle, since she's been interested in the alphabet lately. Not surprisingly, Thumbelina managed to find a Barney and Riff that were on clearance. They aren't the small, blissfully silent types that she's been carrying around for months, either. Nope, they sing songs and Riff even has two obnoxious maracas that he shakes around. She also found a Barney coloring book and Mama took pity on her and bought another Barney dvd. Oh joy!

Admittedly, the jungle gym isn't put together yet, but she's quite taken with Riff and Bah-ney.

I would post pictures of her Barney cake, but it's so sad and pathetic that even I, with my no-shame policy regarding craft attempts, can't bring myself to post pictures. It took me TWO HOURS and Topher continually came in to gently suggest that I just give it up. Maybe because I kept having to scrape the frosting off the cake and re-frost it to have a clean slate. (Thumbelina fell asleep while waiting for her cake, which at first made me feel sorry that I was taking so long and being so frustrated with something so silly - but then I realized she was spared learning a few colorful words I'd prefer she not hear yet. Yay.) And then when I finally managed to trace a great outline of Barney onto the cake, the purple frosting came out as red and his eyes looked deranged. Isn't that sad? The only triumph during the entire cake debacle was that she at least recognized him as Barney - though with a distinct question in her voice, kind of like when a parent asks their child to "tell me about that drawing, son!" because they don't want to mistakenly hurt the kid's feelings. Topher was like, "At least she didn't think you made her an alien cake, right?" Yes babe, that makes me feel a million times better. Nevermind that Thumbelina thinks she sees Barney on any cereal box.

We did make an emergency run to the grocery store and procured a few pink princess cupcakes. Thumbelina enjoyed the frosting the most, I think.

My one culinary success this birthday happened to be using my trusty blender and re-introducing smoothies. We haven't had any in awhile, which is a good thing because Thumbelina discovered milkshakes last weekend during the wedding - and has asked for a "shake" every day since. (Poor Topher ran out of ways to amuse her during his many hours of solo parenting between activities.) Fortunately, she was satisfied that a cherry-peach-mango smoothie is a sufficient "shake."

If there is any mercy in this world, Thumbelina will have a new interest by her next birthday and Barney will be a friend of the past. Then maybe we can actually order a cake, since not one single local bakery still does Barney cakes anymore. (And I can spare my little one the torture of my cake-decorating disability.)
