Qué decepción. Para una vez que Apple nos sorprende con un video en castellano del iPhone van y lo llenan de términos pronunciados en inglés... "zri gi" en lugar de "tres ge" :-) "guaifai" en lugar de "güifi" (jaja, qué feo queda escrito así) y muchas más.

Supongo que lo habrán hecho para que sirva en todos los países hispano parlantes en los que como México, los términos más técnicos se suelen pronunciar en inglés, sin embargo, el vídeo aún no está disponible en la web de Apple para Latinoamérica...

PD/ Como comprenderéis, el post va medio en broma. Todos decimos "aifon" en inglés, en lugar de "ifone"... lo que pasa es que queda muy raro oír tanto término en inglés, cuando muchos de llos están muy castellanizados.

Si lo se. Todos queremos un iPhone 3G. Bueno, no todos, pero muchos si lo queremos. Tiene esa hermosa pantalla de 3,5 pulgadas, multitouch, el mejor OS móvil, una interfaz envidiable, un media player de ensueño, un diseño exquisito, etc, etc.

Hoy estamos a 6 de Julio 2008. El iPhone sale a la venta el día 11. Y como ya sabrán, ya hay gente haciendo filas! WTF?? Yo quiero un iPhone, pero no creo que seria tan fanático como para esperar días durmiendo en las calles por conseguir un teléfono. Porque al fin y al cabo, eso es, un teléfono, un teléfono genial, pero un teléfono, y ya.

No estoy criticando a nadie, que quede claro, pero no le veo el sentido a hacer filas con días de adelantado para conseguir un producto que no tiene grandes diferencias con su antecesor, y lo mas importante: Días después podrás comprarlo sin filas, cogiéndolo suave, sin dormir en la calle. 

No me tomen a mal: Yo haría una fila por conseguirlo, pero no una fila de 7 días! No tienen trabajo es o que? (Yo no tengo :) )...Si yo la fuese a hacer lo haría calvez un día antes o el mismo día en la madrugada, pero no con toda una semana de antelación! 

Hey! Despierten! No sean patéticos esclavos de estas cosas! Yo quiero uno, muero por uno, pero por favor! Es un simple teléfono.

Los empleados de las tiendas Movistar conocen ya las tarifas del iPhone 3G, pero tienen orden expresa de la compañía de no desvelarlas. A pesar de ese embargo informativo, estamos en condiciones de afirmar que estas serán las tarifas que aplique Movistar al iPhone en España:

Existirán un conjunto de tarifas en las que se asocian consumos de datos y voz. Como ya se filtró en la red, las tarifas de datos serán dos:

• Tarifa iPhone, de 15€ mensuales con tráfico ilimitado aunque se reduce a 128 kbps al pasar de 200 MB de tráfico.
• Tarifa iPhone Plus, de 25€ mensuales con tráfico ilimitado aunque se reduce a 128 kbps al pasar de 1 GB de tráfico.

La novedad es que la elección de la tarifa de datos condiciona la tarifa de voz.

De este modo si elegimos la tarifa de datos de 15€, podremos elegir entre tres tarifas de voz con un consumo mínimo de 9€, 20€ y 30€.

En el caso de elegir la tarifa de datos de 25€, deberemos elegir obligatoriamente entre una tarifa de voz de 60€ o de 90€.

El precio del iPhone variará en función de la combinación de tarifas elegida, aunque como máxmo serán 99€ para el modelo de 8GB y 199€ para el de 16 GB.

El objetivo prioritario de Movistar son las portabilidades, por lo que se darán prioridad a ellas y en las primeras fases de comercialización, no se ofrecerá en cambio por puntos.

Sobre la disponibilidad de los iPhone, Movistar pondrá en el mercado 100.000 unidades, que se repartirán entre 1000 tiendas en toda España. Ello no quiere decir que cada tienda reciba 100 unidades, al contrario, lo más probable es que la mayoría estén en la tienda de la Gran Vía de Madrid y el resto de las tiendas reciban unidades limitadas hasta incluso 10 o menos por tienda.

Une occasion pour rappeler ce que seront les prix de l'iPhone 3G en France :

Version 8Go à 149 € et 16Go à 199 € avec les forfaits :

• Orange pour iPhone
• Origami Star (à partir de 3h), First et Jet

Pour les autres forfaits de la gamme (hors forfaits bloqués et sans engagement), il faudra débourser 50 € de plus, soit 199 € pour la version 8Go et 249 € pour la version 16Go.

Ce qui nous fait au total :

149 + 49x24 = 1325 € pour un iPhone 8Go avec le forfait le moins cher (24 mois).

149 + (49+4,50)x12 = 791 € pour un iPhone 8Go avec le forfait le moins cher (12 mois).

Le plus intéressant financièrement reste tout de même d'acheter son iPhone sans engagements, c'est à dire sans forfait, il revient donc à 499 € pour le 8Go et 569 € pour le 16Go (plus les prix des cartes prépayées).

As an example in the USA $60.00 gets you unlimited data, Rogers super best wonderful plan for $115.00 gets you 2 GB.  In listing to a number of people in the USA 2 GB lasts 2 days to 2 weeks. If they offered $60.00 for the 2 GB and $100.00 to $115.00 for the unlimited I could live with. I would not be happy but I would know what my bill would be, instead of surprises every month. The penalties are stiff if you go over your plan. As soon as I heard about the plans I joined http://www.ruinediphone.com/index.php and I donated to the cause. The rates are better than what Rogers was showing for other smart phones but they are still not good enough. 

It's not just Rogers, it all the Canadian carriers have data plans that are a joke compared to plans in the USA. If you are going to do much more that check your loto numbers. Check your e-mail, between business and personal account not including SPAM I average 100 a day 7 days a week.

I would love to keep up with Twitter, Plurk and Identi.ca on my iPhone but with these rates I would be over my limits quickly. 

I am so mad at these rates that I would not even try to get one as my work mobile phone.

Maybe they are more people in Canada who have money to burn than I think there are but I do not see the iPhone being adopted at the level it was/is in the USA.

I guess what I am trying to say to Steve Job's is "you cut the best deal with Rogers you could but this Apple Fan will not be getting on the iPhone train"

Nu är det så att Telia med sina olika abonnemang får mig att tveka. Jag har inte längre lust att vara den killen som köper en vara samma dag som den släpps för se priset halveras månaden efter.

Jag väntar och hoppas verkligen att det slutar med fiasko för Telia och jag ber till er alla andra prylbögar att vänta med inköpet om ni klarar av det. Jag vill se hur priserna sjunker när de andra operatörerna hoppar in i leken eller när Telia inte lyckas leva upp till Steve Job's förväntningar.

AT&T has announced iPhone pricing details and the the good news is that you can buy one without a contract.  The bad news is that if you don't sign a contract it will cost you $400 more.

On Tuesday of last week, AT&T announced the various voice and data plans available for the iPhone, and gave tips on how to be "iReady" when iPhone 3G goes on sale at AT&T retail stores this coming Friday, July 11.  All AT&T stores are opening early at 8 a.m. to accommodate the demand, but with each iPhone requiring an in-store activation, many are in doubt that they'll be iReady when the clock strikes eight.

Regardless of that, I'll be in line on Friday morning (unless the line is insanely long), and here is what AT&T is telling me to expect:

Pricing and Eligibility

iPhone 3G will be available for $199 for the 8GB model and $299 for the 16GB model. These prices require two-year contracts and are available to you if you fit in one of these three catagories:

• iPhone customers who purchased before July 11
• Customers activating a new line with AT&T
• Current AT&T customers who are eligible, at the time of purchase, for an upgrade discount

If you are an existing AT&T customer, but you are in the middle of a contract, you can purchase the iPhone 3G for $399 for the 8GB model or $499 for the 16GB model (both options require a new two-year service agreement).  AT&T has said that a no-contract-required option will soon be available ($599 for the 8GB or $699 for the 16GB).

Remember that you will have to pay the ridiculous $18 "upgrade fee" if you are a current AT&T customer.

Voice, Data and Text Messaging Plans

iPhone 3G users can choose from four individual AT&T voice/data plans, each one including unlimited data (e-mail and Web browsing).

• AT&T Nation Unlimited: Includes unlimited Anytime Minutes for $129.99 a month.
• AT&T Nation 1350: Includes 1350 Anytime Minutes and unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes for $109.99 a month.
• AT&T Nation 900: Includes 900 Anytime Minutes and unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes for $89.99 a month.
• AT&T Nation 450: Includes 450 Anytime Minutes and 5,000 Night & Weekend Minutes for $69.99 a month.

Unlimited text messaging can be added for an additional $20; $15 (1,500 messages), or $5 (200 messages).

Well, it's pretty expensive to get hands on an officially unlocked iPhone, but take into account that you'll probably get some kind of compensation when signing a new phone contract without buying a new phone, so just subsidize your officially unlocked iPhone yourself! Take into account that when you sell it again one day, you'll probably even get a better price, since it is officially unlocked (no issues when updating to a new firmware, all sim cards, works worldwide, ....).

In Belgium the law probably requires officially unlocked iPhones, too - but so far nothing has been announced and the launch will probably be delayed.

Con questa petizione vogliamo dichiarare la nostra indignazione contro la politica tariffaria che TIM e Vodafone hanno deciso di applicare nella vendita dell’iPhone 3G. Abbiamo atteso oltre 1 anno e mezzo per avere l’iPhone in Italia, esattamente dal gennaio del 2007, quando Apple lo lanciò solo per gli USA.

Dopo tanta attesa apprendiamo che le tariffe di TIM e Vodafone sono molto sconfortanti, soprattutto alla luce della crisi economica che riduce il potere d’acquisto delle famiglie. Riteniamo che le attuali tariffe di TIM e Vodafone porteranno danni all’immagine che Apple ha costruito per il telefono, danneggiando la fidelizzazione dei clienti e la diffusione della piattaforma sul territorio. Siamo delusi e sconcertati perchè molti di noi dovranno rinunciare all’acquisto dell’iPhone 3G e riteniamo che questa politica affossi la diffusione del telefono in Italia, portando i cittadini italiani ad essere ancora una volta la ruota del carro mentre negli altri Paesi europei e mondiali (ben 22 dall’11 luglio) potranno beneficiarne di tutti gli aspetti del telefono.

Si potrebbero fare tante altre comparative, ma la conclusione è che le tariffe di TIM e Vodafone sono altissime. Per tale motivo chiediamo che siano riformulate e rese più conformi al mercato italiano pena una nostra azione di boicottaggio nell’acquisto dell’iPhone 3G.

PD. Vengo de curiosear...y parece que ni los ingleses, ni los alemanes, ni los franceses, ni los australianos tienen su propio "Guided Tour". ¿Y eso?

Pues según se ve en Applesfera y Geardiary, ya hay gente haciendo cola a las puertas de la famosísima Apple Store de la 5ª Avenida en Nueva York para comprar dentro de 5 días el iPhone 3G.

En Geardiary van actualizando cada día (incluso dos veces un mismo día) y ahora dicen que no parece gente esperando al iPhone, si no un grupo organizado para algún tipo de publicidad* o un picnic familiar (según ellos, es NY, y ahí la realidad siempre supera a la ficción).

It seems more likely that this line is some type of odd family picnic. Remember, we are in New York City!

Nokia/Blackberry/AN Other Smartphones definitely should be the handsets that are catered for, especially if you compare their sales figures against the iPhones. It was a nice and pleasantly try, though. Chris, Oxford, The identify with works fine on my Iphone, the only snag is knowing what the pictures might refer to.

Some speculate that a Zune phone platform would cannibalize Windows Mobile. Forum member Teccom747 has come up with a possible design for the Zune 3. The images above show the same imaginary device in Zune mode and phone mode. Yes, it looks like an iPhone, but the Zune 30 looked a little like the iPod 30 so anything is possible. Teccom747 also came up with specs for the Zune 3 and a screenshot of the device inside the Zune software as well.

The Zune 3 is also a phone with all the features of the Zune 80, with new features such as internet explorer, wifi marketplace, common phone apps, and more.

Dopo un anno ed una ventina di giorni di trepidante attesa si squarcia il velo sull'oggetto dei desideri ma solo per vedere in tutta chiarezza un oceano di merda..

Non mi soffermerò ad esaminare le tariffe o a confrontarle con quelle di altri paesi ma vorrei solo far rilevare che così come sono state formulate da TIM e Vodafone rendono l'iPhone di fatto inutilizzabile e vorrei anche porre l'accento sulle conseguenze tutt'altro che secondarie che simili dissennate politiche commerciali potranno produrre nel medio e lungo termine sul mercato del Web Mobile.

La cecità che porta i nostri gestori telefonici a proporre piani tariffari fuori dalla realtà sia dal punto di vista economico che da quello funzionale è l'indice di come il mercato sia arretrato e continui a considerare i propri clienti solo come un parco buoi e nulla più..

TIM e Vodafone hanno proposto per l'iPhone delle tariffe diverse (in più..) rispetto a quelle praticate ai clienti comuni, ovvero il cliente iPhone viene penalizzato dal dover sottoscrive delle offerte in genere peggiori e vessatorie rispetto alla gente che sceglie dei telefoni cellulari "classici", e tenendo conto che l'iPhone è un oggetto in cui la funzione telefonia è marginale rispetto alla navigazione Internet, è chiaro il disegno dei gestori volto ad impedire l'uso free del terminale al di fuori dei portali e dei servizi in genere inutili offerti dai gestori..

La loro cecità è tale da non fargli capire che ove offrissero un pacchetto dati più esteso o addirittura illimitato, la percentuale della clientela che ne farebbe un uso intensivo sarebbe risibile rispetto a quella che ne farebbe un uso occasionale ed ancora minore di quella che non userebbe mai il traffico dati, ma i gestori preferiscono allettare il cliente con offerte realmente assurde come 1500 SMS al mese (TIM), cosa che davvero non serve a nessuno visto che non credo che ci siano persone che mandino 50 SMS al giorno da un telefono, forse qualche adolescente che non potrebbe comunque accedere ai piani proposti mentre chi ha necessità di inviare grossi quantitativi di SMS per lavoro lo fa in genere dal computer con software specifici e pacchetti prepagati molto più convenienti..

Mentre sono però coscienti del fatto che offrire 1500 SMS equivale a non dare nulla, gli stessi gestori hanno molta paura a proporre offerte sul traffico dati che siano meno che ridicole visto che non è possibile usare l'iPhone come modem collegato al PC e di conseguenza non è di fatto immaginabile che il cliente iPhone vada a scaricare chissà quale montagna di dati consumando la (poca) banda offerta dal gestore..

Pensate ad una automobile.. Se la pagate subito, in contanti e molto cara potrà andare dappertutto, se invece scegliete di pagarla a rate potrà andare solo su alcune strade e fare benzina (poca per volta..) solo in alcuni distributori e fare pochi kilometri, se sceglierete ancora una diversa forma di pagamento avrete ancora altre limitazioni ma in compenso avrete il parcheggio gratis a Tokio o dei biglietti di teatro a New York o comunque qualcosa di assolutamente inutile che vi verrà però porto con grande enfasi..

L'iPhone sarebbe dovuto essere, come in parte è, il mezzo che avrebbe portato stabilmente il pubblico su Internet Mobile visto che il mercato sta recependo sempre più la richiesta di servizi Web 2.0 in mobilità e che dopo anni di discorsi su quanto sarebbe bello poter lavorare su Internet in mobilità, sembra sia arrivato il momento di poterlo fare con una semplicità tale da consentirne l'uso anche agli utenti meno preparati grazie alla intuitività dell'esperienza iPhone..

Il Web si sta attrezzando per diventare mobile ma con queste premesse sarà sempre una cosa per pochi tra tariffe con gabelle assurde, dispositivi complicati e poco affidabili, copertura di rete disponibile solo nelle città, impossibilità di effettuare micro pagamenti con il credito telefonico. Senza dubbio l'iPhone avrebbe evitato agli utenti tutte le magagne e la scarsa usabilità della maggior parte dei telefoni cellulari attualmente in uso con la sua interfaccia friendly ed il suo multitouch ma non può nulla contro le politiche commerciali restrittive dei gestori che di fatto bloccano il mercato del Web Mobile impedendone lo sviluppo per carenza di utenti..

Tutte le tariffe dati proposte dai gestori telefonici sono inadeguate, hanno balzelli assurdi, scatti alla connessione, unità prepagate, limiti di tempo, fuori soglia o fuori copertura da nababbi, impossibilità di roaming o prezzi assurdi di interconnessione..

Se la telefonia mobile non avesse ucciso quella fissa, questa sarebbe finalmente diventata conveniente grazie alla concorrenza mentre la concorrenza nella telefonia mobile è di fatto inesistente e penalizzata dalla mancanza di accordi e regolamentazione di authority come per quella fissa ovvero se manca la copertura di un operatore i suoi utenti potranno si accedere alla rete di un altro ma a condizioni stabilite dalla libera contrattazione generalmente al rialzo con le conseguenti batoste in scheda o in bolletta..

Se non si supera questo tipo di mentalità da piccoli arraffoni non ci sarà mai nessun tipo di sviluppo e di conseguenza nessun beneficio sociale derivante dalla disponibilità in tempo reale ed in ogni luogo di informazioni, contenuti, etc. Il Web mobile rimarrà un gioco per pochi e chiunque volesse investire nel suo sviluppo sarebbe frenato dalle difficoltà di fare business proponendo cose diverse dai soliti e squallidi loghi e suonerie..

Mentre in molti paesi europei Spagna in testa, la rincorsa agli investimenti nelle alte tecnologie ha subito una grande accelerazione, in Italia come al solito siamo al palo ma a differenza di altri paesi spendiamo moltissimo senza fare nulla come nel caso delle connessioni Wi-Fi nei comuni terremotati del Molise..

L'iPhone è anche occasione di business per chi produce accessori, custodie, etc. e certamente le maramaldeggianti offerte dei gestori non spianeranno il terreno a queste aziende ma causeranno certamente ribassi di vendite ed accantonamento di progetti futuri per mancanza di utenti..

Insomma la vedo piuttosto nera e mi auguro che chi ha desiderato l'iPhone fino ad oggi sia in grado di non sottostare al ricatto dei gestori lascindo gli iPhone nei magazzini, forse un flop di una certa consistenza farebbe loro rivedere la questione.. L'iPhone non è un medicinale, non è un salvavita, non è indispensabile, ci sono altri terminali che vanno benissimo e che vengono praticamente regalati dai gestori, io uso un Nokia E61 con Wi-Fi che ho in comodato con la TRE con il solo obbligo di effettuare una ricarica di Eur. 20 mese mentre la TIM per iPhone pretende un canone di Eur. 30 mese senza nessuna contropartita..

Da sottolineare come di fronte a queste insultanti offerte nessun servo della carta stampata abbia avuto il coraggio di prendere una posizione o di esprimere una opinione, forse seguendo ordini di scuderia che impongono di non parlare male di chi paga le pagine pubblicitarie, forse per incompetenza o forse perchè non gli interessa, non riescono nemmeno a dire che le due aziende hanno evidentemente e palesemente fatto cartello visto che i prezzi del terminale libero da abbonamenti sono gli stessi.. Ma non ci dovrebbe essere una Antitrust..??

Da segnalare l'attivazione di un sito per firmare una petizione a cura del Blog Melamorsicata.it e, anche se non credo nella effettiva utilità di queste iniziative, credo almeno che valgano come sondaggi di opinione o comunque di esternazione di un malcontento diffuso.. La petizione la potete trovare cliccando sul banner qui sotto e comprende anche una lettera da inviare a Steve Jobs per ribadire il fatto che ove queste tariffe venissero confermate e mantenute, le vendite di iPhone in Italia saranno un fiasco..

Comunque la delusione è tanta sopratutto perchè al di la delle tariffe è proprio l'arretratezza dei gestori che colpisce per scarsa lungimiranza.. Tutte e due le aziende hanno buttato al vento una ottima occasione per rifarsi una verginità e se non avessero fatto cartello una poteva stracciare l'altra dimostrando più coraggio ed attenzione alle esigenze di una clientela 2.0 ma così non è stato e così non sarà visto che una volta siglati i primi contratti le tariffe non potranno essere modificate..
