BIG TRUCK

BIG TRUCK are a young West London-based rock band. They have been established for just over a year now, having played almost 50 shows in and around the London area. In this time BIG TRUCK have not only recorded their debut album ‘One Long Saturday Night’ but also played a sold-out show at Camden’s Purple Turtle to celebrate its first press. Since then BIG TRUCK have been well received on many independant radio stations in the UK including Total Rock, Inferno and Brit FM to name a few. This was followed by a recent brief tour of Canada and airplay on UPV Radio 102.5 FM in Spain, proving that BIG TRUCK have both UK and international appeal.

BIG TRUCK are a four-piece line up with soaring guitars, driving bass, solid drums and choruses that have you singing along before you even know the words. Som israel och jude som bor i Sverige har jag andra drömmar och önskningar. Jag drömmer om ett Sverige som har respekt för Israel och behandlar Israel som en jämlike.

Svenska kyrkan önskar jag skall ändra sin enkelspåriga verksamhet emot den judiska staten Israel - där allt elände i Mellanöstern skylls på Israel - till ett fredsarbete där man på ett nyanserat sätt verkar med båda parterna, Israel och palestinierna, för att uppnå kompromisser som leder till fred.

Följeslagarna som sänds av Sveriges Kristna Råd önskar jag skall se sanningen i konflikten och verka för att parterna samtalar med varandra i stället för att i Sverige propagera för ett upphörande av staten Israel. Att dessa följeslagare hemma i rapporter från Mellanöstern skall använda kartor där Israel finns med.

Studieförbundet Bilda önskar jag i sitt program skall ha kurser om israelisk konst och vetenskap istället för att sprida budskapet om Israel som ondskans land.

Diakonia, den religiösa hjälporganisation, som talar om att de är på människans sida önskar jag skall inkludera israeler och judar på samma sida och inte bara palestinier.

Rädda Barnen önskar jag skall använda sina medel för att hjälpa barn och inte för att sprida antiisraelisk propaganda i samarbete med Palestinagrupperna som vill se att det judiska staten försvinner.

Stadsteatern i Göteborg önskar jag skall ge en föreställning som bär budskapet om Israels kulturliv och längtan efter fred istället för att visa antiisraelisk teater som framställer Israel som ett värstingland.

Palmecenter som gör anspråk att verka för fred önskar jag skall sluta att ensidigt stödja terrororganisationen Hamas och istället föra dialog både med Israel och palestinierna med syfte att överbrygga motsättningarna istället för att öka dem.

Broderskaprörelsen önskar jag verkligen att man lever upp till det kristna budskapet och slutar upp med att bedriva sin grova antiisraeliska propaganda. Jag hoppas att de uppmanar socialdemokraterna att ha en utrikespolitisk talesman som kritiserar både Israel och palestinierna istället för att kritisera bara Israel.

SSU önskar jag skall vara en verkligen socialistisk organisation som stöder fred och inte terrororganisationer. Att dessa ungdomar skall jobba för en hoppfull framtid även för ungdomar i Israel och inte ensidigt enbart stödja palestinier.

Extremvänstern i Sverige önskar jag skall sluta hata Israel och sluta att ibland använda antisemitiska utsagor för att sprida hatet mot Israel.

SIDA och Forum Syd önskar jag verkligen skulle stödja fredsprojekt i stället för hatprojekt som bedrivs av aktiva antiisraeliska organisationer i Sverige. Landets biståndsmedel bör användas som stöd för de fattiga och inte för att väcka hat.

SLUTLIGEN vill jag önska alla Gott nytt år med god hälsa och ett gott liv.

Anyway, Saturday afternoon, Jude and I enjoyed lunch at Panera Bread with my parents before meeting my sister and her family at the movies to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. It was basically an all-day wrestling match with Jude. Oh, and the best part? He chunked my iPhone onto the ground, busting the screen into a bunch of different pieces. That was nice. :-\ So by the time Simon got off work at the end of the day, I was fit to be tied. I hit the hay at 9:30, and it was a good thing, since at 6:30am Sunday morning, The Man was ready to greet the day.

I took a bottle upstairs to his room, and sat down in the dark in his rocking chair. I noticed that he smelled kinda funky, and I stroked his head and kissed his forehead. Wait, I thought. What on earth is that?!?  Oh yeah. He was crusted in vomit. Nice. So off to the bathtub we went. Since he's been having a lot of drainage, I just chalked it up to that, and decided that he would not be going to the nursery at church. He sat in his high chair for some breakfast, and while Simon tended to him, I got in the shower. When I got out, though, Simon came into the bathroom.

"I think we've had an explosion," he said. A poop explosion.

This was not the last encounter with poop or vomit for yesterday, though. He managed to projectile vomit all over the back of my dad's car, as well as his carseat, and all of his clothes as we were walking into Panera Bread. Then he also had another explosion as we sat at Panera. At this point, we had to go home, because we had nothing left to clothe him in and I was definitely out of wipes!

So. I would say that we are due a vacation. Nothing like a little stomach virus to get one ready to go out of town! We are departing for San Francisco on Wednesday, and I can hardly wait. I've been looking forward to this for over a month, and it will be good to have a grown-up getaway.

In good news, I got a new iPhone. The bad news: they really nickel-and-dime you for all the data and text messaging. That made me mad. I also got a big, bulky, heavy-duty cover for the thing. No more dropping! In other good news, Jude seems to be pretty hunky dory this morning. We are maintaining the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast) until I'm sure that he's done yakking.

Thank goodness it's Monday. Only two more days!!!

“Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preseved in Jesus Christ.” Jude 1 (NKJV).

Jude was a half brother of the Lord Jesus. Mary was his mother, and Joseph his father. Jude does not, now even consider himself to be worthy of calling himself “the Lord’s brother”; because he had at first rejected Jesus (Matthew 13:55; Mark 6:3; John 7:5). He instead, calls himself the “brother of James” who also is a half-brother of Jesus. That is the James who wrote the Bible book of James. Jude did not believe until after Jesus had risen from the grave.

Notice to whom this letter is written. To “those who are called”. The called are those to whom the Father has saved by His grace. This is not speaking of an invitation, but an already chosen people who have been delivered from their sins, by faith in the Perfect One who died for the sins of the world.

The called are also one’s who are “sanctified”, set apart, beloved, and continually growing in the faith of Christ Jesus. These are also “preserved” which means kept by the hands of the one who called them. And, He keeps them from falling.

To make it even clearer. The called of God are secure, safe, and set apart for all eternity, and nothing shall be able to take you from the Father’s hands. NOTHING. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

Saved, secure, forever; held in the Father’s hands.

This evening we spent some family time in the kitchen painting an "animal map" according to Noelen - really its a brown paper bag from a zoo that has prints of animals all over it. And then after all went to bed, I worked on some grown up painting - painting the kitchen. We felt the green (as much as I LOVE the green color) was competing with our back splash and floor. So, here's round one of painting - the cabinets need another coat or two and the trim needs its first. The dishes in the sink are my next project for tonight!

"But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit…" Jude 20 (NKJV).

It is often too easy to blame others when and if we get bad teaching, such as comes from apostate, heretical teachers. However, it is every Christians responsibility to stand guard on their own hearts and lives concerning what they put into their minds. If we go astray after hearing false teaching, there is really no one to blame but ourselves.

The apostate’s will give an accounting of what they have done, what they have taught, and then, they will be cast into eternal darkness, unless they have previously repented, received the true Jesus, and their is eternal fruit in their lives and living.

Jude is about to end his letter to the Christians to whom he is writing, and ends with words of encouragment, and exhortation. We Christians of today need these powerful words as well. They are for Christians of every culture, century, and millennium. With these words he encourages us to "build up yourselves in your most holy faith". It is individual’s responsibility to feed, tend, care, and grow in the faith. In the end there will be no one to blame for our slouchy, lazy, shoudy, and weak life; but ourselves.

It is our own personal responsibility to see that we sit under the teaching of teachers who will build up Jesus Christ, magnifiy the cross of Jesus, and when I say the "Cross of Jesus" I refer to His death, burial, and resurrection - The cross of Jesus speaks of His redemptive, imputational, work on that tree as He became sin for us. It is our own personal responsibility to see that we not depend on teachers, and their teaching, but that we discover for ourselves the revelation of God and His Word. Good teachers will teach you how to study the Word of God for yourself, and encourage and motivate you to do so. It is a bad and sad teacher who would tell you to depend on his/her teaching alone, and that you can have no understanding apart from them and their teaching.

Our own, individual study and reading of the Word of God is a necessity if we do not want to be led astray. There are ample living and dead examples of bad teachers; even heretical teachers who caused the death of many people, because they had been led astray. Each one of those people will give an individual accounting before God one day of why they listened and followed such a teacher and their teaching.

A better, and clearer understanding of Scriptures will come through study, and "Praying in the Holy Spirit…" This praying is a genuine, sincere, dedicated prayer that is the same as praying "In the name of Jesus". When you pray in the Spirit and the name of Jesus you pray for things which will bring honor and glory to His name. You ask for things that He would ask. You seek for those things that He is seeking. You keep on knocking at the door for the things He keeps knocking at the door. Praying in the Holy Spirit is God honoring, Christ glorifying, and never contrary to the will of God.

Along this same line of thought the apostle Peter wrote, "But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love." 2 Peter 1:5-7 (NKJV). It is our personal responsibility to grow in faith, and to become more like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Grow in Jesus Christ.

Das nun dieser Jude sicherlich nicht "Mein Kampf" zuhause stehen haben wird und für die Vergasung von Juden eintreten wird ist den linken wohl egal. Wenn die Kausalkette der linken greift, dass muss es sich zwingend um einen Nazi handeln.

Så många ord i stället för att säga det i en enda mening som Jesus en gång sa.
"Du ska älska din nästa såsom dej själv", eller om du hellre vill "Allt vad du vill att andra ska göra mot dej ska du också göra mot honom".
Citaten är hämtade från min söndagsskoletid och kanske inte helt uppdaterade, men andemeningen är den samma.

Broderskaparna har problem i sitt nya kristna vänstermanifest där de vill sammanföra både religion och politik och då blir det varken hackat eller malet.
Religion i sej behöver inte spetsas med politik för att bli smaklig och politik, om den är bra, behöver ingen religiös täckmantel.
Broderskaparna klarar inte av att renodla varken det ena eller det andra.

Vad man mycket tydligt renodlat är sitt markanta avståndstagande från kristendomens ursprungskälla.
Judendomen klarar sej alldeles utmärkt utan Kristendomen men Kristendomen blir lika syrefattig som Broderskapsrörelsen utan kontakt med sina rötter.

Jag har aldrig träffat på några som med sådan frenesi förnekar Jesu judiskhet som Broderskaparna.
Jesus föddes som jude, levde som jude, undervisade som jude och dog som jude.
Jesu lära fördes vidare genom hans lärjungar och successivt trollades Jesu judiskhet bort – som om Kristendomen föddes ur en Kristus, kommen från en kall stjärna någonstans i det blå.

Jesus var jude och kallades rabbi av sina efterföljare och han tillät inte att en enda prick av den judiska lagen ändrades.
Han vördade och vårdade sitt judiska arv.

Nu kommer Broderskaparna inklampande och gör anspråk på någon slags kristendom som urvattnats till vänsterpolitik, där man väljer och vrakar vilka man gillar och inte gillar.
Vilka som får leka på deras gård och vilka som inte får vara med.
Detta samtidigt som man säger sej vilja inkludera alla människor.
Tillhör du en av Broderskaparna accepterad grupp är du välkommen, annars......
Den kristna högern är tydligen alltför rakryggad och framgångsrik för att falla Broderskaparna på läppen, så dem stänger man ute.

Islamofobi ska bekämpas men för antisemitism är det tydligen fritt fram.
Man berömmer sej av samarbete med araberna i Gaza men --- judarna i Israel då?
Kanske skulle en judisk vänsteranarkist som delar ut kameror till minderåriga araber för att spionera på de som skyddar Abbas mot ytterligare en blodig Hamaskupp, vara välkommen i gemenskapen, men skulle en "bosättare" från Ariel vara lika välkommen?

Man agerar politiskt "mot Israels agerande i de ockuperade palestinska områdena."
Nu börjar det brännas ordentligt.
Det finns områden där araber bor men de är inte palestinska, inte förrän de signerat ett fredsavtal med Israel.
Det hjälper inte hur många gånger Broderskaparna upprepar sitt mantra - det har aldrig funnits något land och det finns inget land som tillhör palestinierna, ockuperat eller inte, innan de lärt sej att både ge och ta i en förhandling.
Vad gäller Israels agerande så tvingas de fortsätta att agera "babysitter" så länge motparten inte lär sej lösa sina konflikter på demokratisk väg – om inte annat så för att skydda Israels civila mot deras destruktiva agerande.

Vissa menar att eftersom Israel är den starkare parten så vilar det på dem att stifta fred.
Israel har av en fientlig omgivning tvingats att prioritera fram en svindyr men hyfsad armé men det krävs som bekant två för att dansa en tango.
Även om man inte är den starkare parten kan man avkräva dem ett civiliserat beteende.

Broderskapnas vänstermanifest innehåller många vackra ord staplade på varandra, ord som beskriver vad som krävs av en mänsklig samlevnad.
Vissa paragrafer upplevs naturligtvis mer relevanta än andra.
Att man känner behov av att sätta dem på pränt är ett underkännande av vårt nuvarande samhälle.
Om de hade haft några nya, fräscha idéer att presentera hade det varit en intressant läsning – nu känns det bara så oerhört onödigt.

Allerdings legt sich mit neuesten Erkenntnissen Schweizer Archäologen ein Schatten über diesen ohnehin schon spärlichen  Rest der Unbekümmertheit insbesondere hinsichtlich der koscheren Küche unserer schweizer Nachbarn. Und das nicht nur aus der Perspektive praktizierender Juden.

Noch seien keine voreiligen Schlüsse zu ziehen, doch der gelegentliche Verzehr von Menschenfleisch im Keltischen Kulturraum läge aber sicherlich im Bereich des Möglichen.

Wem nun der gute alte Weihnachtsbaum nicht unbekannt ist, der weiss, wie hartnäckig sich solche alten Traditionen halten. Je sinnloser, idiotischer und geschmackloser die traditionelle Eigenschaft, desto tiefer verbeisst sie sich in der kulturellen Erblast der kommenden Gesellschaften. Man denke hier an ebenso bunte wie vergammelte Ostereier oder auch den weiterhin präsenten germanischen Autoritätsfetischismus, welcher die Infragestellung von Senfeiern, Weisswursterln und Königsberger  Klopsen im Grundgedanken zu ersticken vermochte, man denke an die bretonische Küche und ihre Minzsoße.

Ein kannibalisches Kulturerbe ist demzufolge geradezu prädestiniert, die Zeit zu überdauern. Eine etwas unheimliche Vorstellung, aber - auch hier - keinesfalls abwegig.

Long Story short: Wer - aus welchen Gründen auch immer - Fleischiges in Milchigem ablehnt, sollte bei seinem nächsten Besuch bei unseren eigentümlichen Alpennachbarn vorsichtshalber darauf achten, sein Käsefondue vor dem Verzehr ein- oder zweimal umzurühren, um sicherzustellen, dass sich nicht vielleicht doch ein genschnetzelter Kelte darin befindet.

"Remember the words…by the apostles… How they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit." Jude 18-19 (NKJV).

A continual warning, and caveat’ to stand your ground, be faithful, follow the teachings of the apostles, etc.; is much needed, but too many of our minds can become redundant. We need to be encouraged by the words of Jude and the words of any preacher who is teaching us to stand guard over our heart, and against the teachings and teachers which would lead us away from the truth.

These apostates are actually haters of God; yet use the name of God to have their way in Christian circles. Jude in no way is saying to us that all true teachers of God’s Word are infallible, but that they will be faithful to proclaiming the truth of God. We can all make mistakes. It seems that we, in our humanity are almost prone to make one now and then, just to remind us that we are still, in fact, fallen creatures; who have been redeemed by the perfect Savior.

However, these apostate heretics, are those who purposely teach doctrines contrary to God and His Word to draw a following for themselves, put their fleeced flocks money in their own pockets, and live in lavish homes, and estates. Now, before any one flies off the proverbial handle, let me add that there is nothing wrong with having or gaining wealth; as long as it has been done by hard work and labor; without taking advantage of the weak; and God is given all the glory for it. God gives wealth to enable those with it to be stewards and help the weak; and that includes the widow, the orphan, the poor, and downtrodden. These take no thought of others, however. The lavish homes and estates are almost their personal trademarks.

They are "sensual", and that can be greedy, filled with lusts; and lusts can be for anything including power, position, popularity, and pomp. When the truth is not proclaimed, the one proclaiming that which is contrary to the truth are the dividers. That is something we always need to remember.

It just seems that when the one who comes in exposing the lies for what they are is always the one who is accused of causing division. It is the one’s who are teaching and preaching the lies who are the dividers. The division-makers do not have the Spirit of God, and if not dealt with by the truth, and with firmness, will themselves be inhabitants of hell. They must be confronted, and given the opportunity of repentance, and finding genuine peace with God.

Be strong in the faith. Grow in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Confront and hate the evil, and expose it. Love the good, and the godly. Love God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength.

Its not that Jude is crying 24/7 (its actually only about an hour a day around 9:30 or 10:00 pm), it just the experience of hearing him cry like he does.  Most of his crying before has fallen more in the cute category; mostly evoking the "Ohhh poor little guy...but what a sweet cry."  Jude's most recent cries have left us with much more serious questions and feelings in the "Am I a bad parent?" "Am I hurting him?"  and "Is there some huge thing we've been missing?" genre that automatically raise the stress in a room. 

I suppose all parent's go through this stage as they continue to follow God down the path he has call them down.  So far I think we're doing well: we're reserving our right to walk away from a crying Jude and we're not taking on, bud do pray for us as we continue to learn and grow in to parenthood! 

Jude went to his first birthday party last weekend (well, if you don't count Daddy's birthday party). Our friends, Steve and Courtney, hosted a birthday party in the park for their youngest daughter, Allison. They had a nice shady spot and the weather was great. We hope Allie had a great 2nd birthday and we are glad we got to spend the afternoon with the birthday girl and her sister!
