Starting with the March 2009 administration of the SAT, CollegeBoard (the makers of the SAT) will change the way that scores are submitted to colleges. In the past, when a student submitted his or her SAT scores to colleges, the admissions committee would see the scores from all of the attempts that the student made. This created a stressful situation for students because they knew that one bad testing day would follow them around and possibly jeopardize their admissions into a top school.

CollegeBoard recognized the need for a change to help alleviate some of the anxiety associated with the high stakes of the SAT. Score Choice, the new score reporting policy approved by CollegeBoard, will give students the choice of which SAT scores they would like to send to colleges. For example, if a student took the SAT in March and May of 2009, that student could choose to send only the May scores. This choice is optional and does need to be selected by the student.

If Score Choice is not selected, the entire score report will be sent by default. Score Choice is available for both the SAT I and the SAT II (Subject Tests). It will also be retroactive after it has been implemented in March 2009. Therefore, juniors who are taking an SAT date prior to March 2009 will still have the option to withhold their scores because they will not be reporting them until the beginning of their senior year.

Another important note is that the entire SAT score for a particular date must be sent if selected. For example, a student is not able to choose only the reading score from the March SAT and the math and writing scores from the May SAT date.

I never lost my love of the four legged kind and re-commenced riding in 2006 when I trained horses for friends, a riding school and also brought on my own four year old who is now successfuly competing at shows.

The book club my wife belongs to is a sham.  It is nothing but a front for anywhere from three to twelve women to hang out in a bar and drink pints of girly beer for three hours.   Sure, she buys the book or picks it up from the library.   She'll even read some of it to make sure her cover isn't blown.  

I am on to her though, let that be known.

Our house has been on the market now for about a month and NOT ONE PERSON HAS BEEN TO SEE IT.   We blame it on the economy and the general panic regarding anything to do with real estate or loans.  We did price is about 2% higher than market value so when we sell we can do so right at market.     

We are suffering from the financial down turn, that is for sure. 

Normally, houses in our neighborhood sell in a few months, tops.  Sometimes the sign never make it up in the front yard.    So, the fact that we haven't had one bite yet is telling if not worrisome.

Another possible factor?   Rednecks and urban trash.   Our neighborhood has went to shit lately.   When we moved in abck in 2002 it was an older established neighborhood filled with elderly and retired folks.   Quiet street with well maintained lawns.  As these orignal owners moved, a younger crowd moved in.    By young I do not mean the hip young crowd (which we are part of, of course) but the redneck park-the-truck-in-the-front-yard crew.    The type that actually DO tell their kids to go play in the street until dark.   

Anyways, last night we had our first nibble.   The Wife ran home and got the place presentable before they came.   I made it home about 20 minutes before the realtor was to arrive and show it.   While the Wife was nursing Junior I made a quick swoop down the street to get most of the junk out of sight.   I'll be damned if the first thing people see is a junky ass neighborhood!

We made it out and went to the grocery for an hour and grabbed dinner.   We sat eating our nachos and burritos staring at each other, wondering what these people thought of our place and if we'd get an offer on it.  

We are anxiously waiting to hear from the realtor today.  Nobody gets an offer from the first people who see it, right?      It will be fine if we don't get an offer.   Part of me is hesitant to move.   But it would make my day if we did.

But not this year. This year is the year of the overdressed warm crotchety old woman. I bought fancy pretty new North Face boots, long underwear and I'm on the verge of making these ridiculously cute and gaudy leg warmers.

(They're so cute I'm going to have to start them TODAY!)

I've also showered the kids in warmth this year. They have new coats, snowpants and good winter boots. And for the past three days I've been knitting them hats. Junior won't wear his, but it's because he's two, not because it's not the most adorable blue hat ever. Because I assure you, it is. Boog hasn't seen hers yet, but she's a fashion whore. Aren't all 4 year olds?

Oh, that reminds me of the drama queen episode I got to be a part of yesterday. Junior hit Boog with a drumstick a number of times on top of her head. She came running out of their room screaming and crying to me. While Hubby dealt with the boy I consoled Boog. She was crying on my shoulder and although she wasn't in a pain anymore she was milking it for all she could. She progressively got louder and more upset (I was experimenting with how far she would take it by letting it happen) and kept telling me how awful it was. Then she leaned back so she could look me straight in the eye, stopped sobbing and said, "MOM! You should have seen it!"

That was all I could take. We ended the drama there because I was about to having a laughing fit and that's not all that good for preventing future drama.

Oh and her new favorite word is "like".

It was Friday, then the day after it was already our prom. Boys are falling in line to ask the girls to be their fist dance. Some went to other year level, some on other room, and as for me, I am lucky that i didn't waste time and energy traveling from one point to another because the girl i wanted to be m first dance was only my seatmate She is Joanne, my crush, the girl that awaken my sleeping soul, the pump that inflates my crippled heart and the girl that changes me. Asking her to be my first dance was not very easy, imagine that i am not the only guy aspiring to take her in the center stage! She had a lot of admirers, suitors! And they all look handsome compared to me. I am not saying that I am ugly nor more handsome than them but my looks is just right for me. However what i have that they lack, even you combine them all is the organ between my ears, [slow? my brain]. Its the only asset that i do have.

So i proposed to her about the special feeling that i have for her and ask her to be my first dance and me to be her first dance! Quite aggressive? Not really! I already proposed to her why should i be shy to ask her a small favor?

I am already ready at that time to receive the answer" sorry" however she said "I'll see..." but I insisted then she finally said "yes" my heart jumped and so is my soul! In my astonishment I almost shout!

That was one of the coolest things that happened to my high school life! I decided to go to the department store to buy some gift to her! I decided to buy chocolates! I am thinking of buying Ferrero but I'm out of money!! tsss! it pissed me off! I had no choice but to buy kisses! and it is just enough! i had enough money for my fare!

As i arrived home, I went directly to the fridge and put inside the chocolates. I just deed my daily routine that evening, I ate, watched TV, read, Surfed the net, draw etc. then i went down to our main CR and to find out that my younger sisters are excavating our fridge! they asked me if they could have one however i forbid them and they begun questioning me what would i do with the sweets. but i did not answered them. I just place it inside again, in the highest compartment and closed the fridge.

After taking a bath, i prepared my bed, I could not sleep! She was always popping in my mind! damn! I thought of why wouldn't i write a love letter! It was my first time to do so! So i thought what language would i use! FILIPINO or ENGLISH! After hours of discernment i chose English so that it won't sound awkward. It was my first time to write a love letter. I hoped she liked it!

Saturday,

We had our send-off rite and I brought my chocolates and the Love letter I wrote. I read it a lot of times! It was simple, but the message it contained weighs a ton per paragraph! Rereading it, i could not imagine that i've done it! Pretty amazing!

When I decided to give her my gift and the letter i wrote, it seemed that a wind of shyness enter my knees and i begun to get nervous. My friends to had became uneasy and felt tense to!!! I did not manage to give her the gift and the simple letter i wrote because I am too late she already went home, as for me, we practiced our reggae dance number! curse it! HOWEVER, if God destined you to do it, He will find a way so you can do it! So went to their house even though i did not really know exactly where it is! Luckily it wasn't my first time, but it was my 2nd time to go there! that first time was when we were still freshmen! Luckily only few structures were built to confuse me! then I finally saw there HOUSE! Thank GOD! I gave her the chocolates then............ [black out].......... I'm out of my consciousness that time! I regain it when i already in the trike!

I went home and checked my sms, and she thanked me for the sweets! I felt.. I felt.. VERY VER HAPPY! I think it was what buddhist called NIRVANA!!

I saw my love, she was, very gorgeous! no matter how she tried to hide from the crowd but her appeal and bright appeance made her stand out!

SHE BACAME MY FIRST DANCE!! And needless to say I am her First dance too!!

Das rächte sich natürlich sehr sehr schnell und ich lag gestern schon flach. Heute morgen stand ich auf und wurde mit heftigen Kopfschmerzen bestraft. Ich nahm auch prompt eine 500er.

Ich war die Erste im Dienst und löste den Nachtdienst ab. Als nächstes kam der Kollege vom gestrigen Tag. Und er hatte nichts Besseres zu tun, als gleich in einer Lautstärke rumzumeckern, dass mir Hören und Sehen verging. Ich habe mir die Ohren zugehalten! Er wurde immer lauter und brüllte dann herum, so dass ich dann wirklich mal was sagen musste. Ich bat ihn, leiser zu sein, denn ich hätte ziemliche Kopfschmerzen. Aber der brüllt weiter: Was interessieren mich deine Kopfschmerzen, frag mich mal, wies mir geht, Scheißdreck hier.

Ich bin aufgestanden, hab meine Tasche geschnappt und hab mich in mein Dienstzimmer verkrochen. Soll er seinen Mist doch selber machen.

Ich hab ihn dann auch noch zwei Stockwerke höher rumnörgeln gehört.

Naja, ich hab den Tag trotzdem überstanden.

Juniorine ist auch krank. Erkältung. Was mich bei ihr sehr geärgert hat: 11. Klasse Gymnasium G9 - und gestern 4 Stunden Ausfall. Das Jahr fängt gut an und aus Erfahrung weiß ich, dass es genauso beschissen weitergehen wird.

Soweit zum Negativen.

Positiv verlief heute Juniors erste richtige Ballettstunde. Ich war die ganze Zeit im Vorraum und hatte ein Ohr auf das, was Junior sagte, aber er verhielt sich vorbildlich. Er bemühte sich heute auch ziemlich, aber die Hausaufgaben wurden erst nach viel Getue erledigt. Die letzten Hausaufgaben hat er um 20.30 Uhr abgeliefert, dafür aber tadellos. Er hat danach noch einen Brief an Oma und Opa aus L.E. geschrieben. Sehr schön.

Das bringt mich auch zu einem anderen positiven Punkt.

Ich habe heute wieder mit meinem Dad telefoniert und er hat mir stolz gesagt, dass er einen Termin beim Augenarzt hat. Geht doch! *freu* Ich freue mich wirklich sehr, dass die Sache nun erledigt wird. Wär doch zu schade, wenn das bleibende Schäden hinterließe. :(

Außerdem haben wir einen Teilsieg im Füllerkampf errungen! Junior darf vorerst weiter mit dem Tintenroller schreiben *freu*.

Juniors Rechenbuch braucht einen Umschlag und seit einer Woche schaffe ich es nicht, einen zu kaufen. Was mich etwas stutzig macht: Die Bücher sind nigelnagelneu - deshalb hatten die Kinder in der ersten Zeit auch keine Bücher, die waren nämlich nicht lieferbar. Jedenfalls hat die Lehrerin mit Edding den Namen der Kinder auf die Bücher geschrieben, obwohl die ja Schuleigentum sind. Naja.

Und nochmal Juniors Schule: Sein "Feind" ist nun definitiv nicht mehr in der Klasse! Hurra!

Vorgestern habe ich mich übrigens bei dooyoo.de angemeldet. Ursprünglich wollte ich eine Bewertung zu Vodafone schreiben, mit denen ich nun schon seit Monaten Ärger habe, aber nun habe ich schon sooo viele Bewertungen geschrieben, dass ich sagen muss: Ich bin süchtig. Dafür gibt es nämlich Punkte, die in webmiles umgetauscht werden und die kann man wiederum in Prämien umtauschen. Fein fein. :)

One Senior in a journalism class was chastized by a class-mate.

Girl: "Sam, you know that paper is due tomorrow."

Sam: "Damn, girl you know this paper is due when I say it's due. If I say it's due next year, it is due next year."

Me: "Well, if you want to hang around until next year to turn it in, I'm sure that can be arranged."

Class: "OOOOOo she got you..." and assorted giggling. He took it good naturedly. It was a good class.

My second class of the day was Freshman English. It was loud, it was disrespectful, it was crazy... until I threatened to hand out detentions. I didn't know what was allowed, detention-wise, but at that point I would have come in on my own time to sit with them if I had handed any out.

The last class was better. I can't wait to head back to class this week. I'll be sure to have some story or another for you.

Junior hat den nämlich mit den Tintenroller geschrieben und obwohl die Lehrerin ihn mehrmals beim Schreiben gesehen und wohl auch korrigiert hat, hat sie nichts zum Tintenroller gesagt.

Aber heute kam ein wütender kleiner Kerl zu mir und hat geschimpft, dass er doch einen Füller braucht. Das sehe ich aber immer noch nicht ein. Warum muss man den Kindern den Spaß am Schreiben auf so eine selbstherrliche und idiotische Art und Weise vermiesen?

Mein Mann hat Junior dann gesagt, dass er seiner Lehrerin sagen soll, dass sie ihn anrufen soll. Ich bin sehr gespannt, was dann dabei rauskommt.

Bedingt durch ein kaputtes Auto und meinen Frühdienst war Junior heute allein zu Hause. *grins* Und natürlich kommt dann ein Anruf, auf den ich schon gewartet habe: Die Ballettschule hat angerufen und den ersten Trainingstermin morgen bestätigt! Hurra. 75 Minuten Intensivtraining Grade 1. Ich freu mich so und auch Junior war plötzlich wieder brav.

Am Sonntag nämlich war er mit einem Kumpel im Ort unterwegs. Die zwei waren auf einem Gemeindefest. In der Kirche war ein Theaterstück, was sich die beiden Jungs angeschaut haben. Anscheinend ist da so so ein Rotzlöffel gewesen, der sehr schnell angefangen hat zu stänkern und die Jungs heftig geschubst haben musst. Junior reagierte erst sehr gut: Das machst du nicht noch einmal. Die anschließende Beleidigung wehrte er mit: Das sagst du nicht noch eimal ab. Aber dann muss man seinen Worten ja Taten folgen lassen, also begaben sich die drei Jungs nach außen und haben das Schlägern angefangen. Große Klasse.

Ich habe es sooo satt, das glaubt man nicht. :(

Le faltó de todo, sus ediciones dan lástima, el manejo de la cámara en

Cac do Rangel é um clube de periferia, onde toca axé, forró, dance e funk.
