In 2000, he joined forces with Spanish pride Cristian Varela to form Pornographic Recordings, a respected outlet for musicians as diverse as Tim Baker, Oxia, Tom Hades and Redhead Marco Bailey’s own productions frequently appear in the setlists of Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Jeff Mills and Sven Väth.

But don’t let the list of big names mislead you: although ambitious, he is a selfmade man with a mission to entertain people with the love of pure techno music.

Usually when I wake up, I just get ready and go straight to work.  I feel like if I'm awake, what's the point in sitting around waiting to go to work.  Today though my boss is out of town so I decided to take my sweet time and come in around nine.  I spent 2 hours watching Extras instead.  That's pretty much one of my top 3 favourite shows.  I think Ricky Gervais is hilarious.  I loved the British version of The Office.  I like the American version too but I just like the BBC one more.

I'm always dying of laughter when I watch Extras.  If you ever get a chance to watch it you won't be disappointed.  If you're American though you might find season 2 funnier than season 1 cuz I feel like season 1 has more British stars in it and they might not be as funny to you.  The finale of season 1 though has Patrick Stewart and it's a really great episode.  I'm asking for the dvds for Christmas for sure.

Moving on... I enjoyed listening to Bassdrive again today.  I was listening to Will Miles show.  Bassdrive is kind of a dream for me cuz I just get to listen to non-stop dnb and do my work and it's not crap.  Heard this Stanza tune called Lost Out that I was really digging.  Will definitely be looking out for that one.

Good ol' Marcus Intalex has another installment of Soul:ution Radio.  I see he has some Brother tracks on there.  I've been loving a lot of that dude's stuff lately!

I havent been doing much DNB lately, Due to my focusing more of my musical efforts with radio gigs & the Top 40/HipHop arena, but every now and again, I'll get booked to do a local or out of town DNB party. Since 1998 Kikola is infected with the electronic beats. His younger years were filled with music and that's why nowadays he has a broad appreciation of all types of music. Immediately when he got exposed to the clubs and raves, he got hooked to the vibe, the crowd and the atmosphere and it was a matter of time before he purchased his first "set up" and begun mastering the art of DJing, thus proving his mixing abilities to the audience.

Right now he is part of the party organization "Transforma" based in Macedonia, which concentrates mostly on presenting progressive as well as psychedelic electronic music. His style varies from the grooviest to the hardest psy - progressive part of the stream (mainly because of the heavy influence from the girls). He has been playing around the Balkans on both commercial and underground parties.

Where to begin? It's been almost 5 years since I've rolled up my sleeves and made a mix, and I wish I could tell you why. A large part of it was my disappointment in the quality of music that was being produced, but there were other things as well.

I don't even know how to put it into words. So instead, I give you this mix. From deep house to deep tech, and even some progressive, my hope is that in some small way, it communicates to you. I hope you enjoy it.

Smokin Jo DJ/ Producer: Jo began musical career in 1990 when, noticing a lack of female Djs on the dance music scene she bought her own set of decks and started mixing herself.

After continued practice, and receiving positive feedback from her mixtapes, she embarked on a musical journey that has taken her to the four corners of the globe. Her cutting edge style and impeccable taste in music has made sure that Jo is always classed amongst the top name DJs.

She is still the only female DJ to have won DJ Magazine's prestigious DJ of the Year award. Smokin Jo's talent behind the decks and fearless risk taking in her mixing has made sure her DJing CV contains most major clubs throughout the world.
Womb in Tokyo, Panorama Bar in Berlin, Made/ Warung in Brazil, Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos, Crobar in New York, Space in Ibiza & Miami, Vinyl in New York, Zouk in Singapore, Fabric in London and Cocoon in Frankfurt to name a few.

She is now one of the residents for We Love.. Sundays at Space in Ibiza. Jo has played most styles of music over the years from Soulful Deep House through to Tribal, but it's Deep & Tech House, Minimal and Techno that now race through her sets. Her shows never fail to impress, containing new and exciting material at every turn.

Jo's productions are few and far between due to her demanding DJ schedule but Jo is now taking the time out to make more tracks. Her production, State of Mind, was championed on Radio 1 and released on Distrakt Records. Other releases include Yanu, The Psycho Bitch EP and collaboration with Peter Heller, Fishbone Sleepers. Not only is Jo a DJ/Producer but she has also graced many of the fashion worlds top magazines including Glamour, Esquire, Cosmopolitan and FHM as well as all the music magazines.

She has also been featured in reputable publications such as The Sunday Times, The Telegraph Magazine and The Independent . At the moment Jo is working on various tracks with her production partner Pete Gleadall under the name Transistor spelt TRNSSTR .Viva have signed tracks by the pair the first “Sausage Dog” was released in April 08 with remixes by Plasmik and David Squillace.

El Topo, aka Mike Perry, is an up and coming DJ from the great city of Chicago, an up and coming DJ who just happens to be a good friend of mine, a really good friend, probably best friends... Hot on the heels of my first ever mix, which will be made available on the podcast next month, comes the second one. The aim of the mix was to showcase two massive tracks which I wanted to share with other people: Narcotic Thrust mix of Depeched Mode's Suffer Well and Popof's Lost Through. Tracks before these two aim to warm up the listener with some deep house music. My own personal highlight here is the Elusive Remix of Matthew Adam's No More, Anymore!

Depeche Mode's mix goes back a couple of years when Sven Väth used it to start his sets with. People used to go nuts when listening to this. Popof's Lost Through is actually distributed in two parts, Part 1 and Part 2, but in this mix, I wanted to show both of them, so I ended up doing a little edit where I layered one on top of the other. After Popof, the mix starts winding down with Julian Jeweil Remix of Lange's Perihelion which adds a progressive touch to the mix, before ending with the Scratch Massive's rather spooky Silence track.
