I think this one was a bit too strange and the Metro nixed it, or maybe I never submitted it. It was done as a present for Francois Ayroles, the great French author and Oubapian who created a terrific series of wordless comics, much better than this one. Here, I was trying to use his vernacular, but still stay with my own framework. Charming, a bit.



I present this one first as a celebration of nature and beauty as I am also flying to SUNNY and BEAUTIFUL , tomorrow, to stay the month of August.

Hutch gets naked. As a creator, I take any chance I can to get Hutch naked.

I'm reminded of Ed Brubaker's depiction of me in his LOWLIFE series- I was portrayed as a wildhaired nudist, espousing free love while letting my naked genitals drape over the bike seat I was riding down the beach.

I suppose it's not really far off; thats certainly an ideal. As for Hutch, he's always represented an ideal vision, so he gets naked in public a bit more than I do. Huzzah to him!

The classes are pretty similar, though the 92nd Street Y class is much more about comic strips, and the focus will be on short form much more than the SVA class.
