The Texas Holdem

Texas holdem is by far the best poker game, and one of the most popular. Due to its fast paced play and simple game rules, it is well liked both in the US and abroad. Texas holdem can be played by two players up to ten players. It is consist of four betting rounds. It is played with each player receiving five community cards face-up and two private cards face-down placed in the center of the table, to be shared by all the players. Player who has the higher hand will win the pot.

The Omaha Hi

Played between two to ten players and it is also one of the popular poker games. It is consisting of four betting round. It is played with each player receiving five community cards face-up and four private cards face-down placed in the center of the table, to be shared by all players. Using any two of their four private cards and any three of the five community cards, each player creates the highest valued hand.

The Omaha Hi lo

A version of a game above with the same rules, but the player creates the highest valued hand and/or lowest qualifying valued hand, using any two of their four private cards and three of the five community cards.

The Seven Card Stud

It is played between two to eight players and one of another popular poker games. It is consist of an initial ante, preceded by five betting rounds when betting in Seven Card Stud. This game is played with each player receiving three face-down cards and four face-up cards. Using any combination of five of their seven total cards, each player creates the highest valued hand.

The Seven Card Stud Hi lo

This is another version of the game above and has the same rules, but each player creates the highest valued hand and/or lowest qualifying valued hand, using any combination of five of their seven cards.

The Five Card Draw

This is the oldest poker game, but still one of the best poker games. Five Card draw is played between two to five players. It’s consists of an initial ante, preceded by two betting rounds when betting in Five Card Draw poker. The player will receives five cards face-down and may draw up to five cards or discard after the first betting round. Player with the highest hand at showdown will win the pot.

The Caribbean Stud Poker

Betting against other player is involved in all the games that we have looked so far. But Caribbean Stud poker is different from them. In Caribbean Stud Poker everyone plays against the room or casino which acts as a bank (dealer), paying out all winning bets. You have to bet the dealer’s hand to win, other players hand don’t make a difference.
