It is with sadness that i tell you, that today is the day that it was announced that the Professor Randy Pausch has died. He has made a huge impact on people all around the world with what was called "The Last Lecture". He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and made an effort to spread the legacy of living your life to the fullest...living out your dreams...living with integrity...living with truth.

He was a son, a father, a husband and an educator; he was trying to teach us the meaning of life. I think it is amazing that he gave us the gift of sacrifice...the very valuable thing that he had left to give to anyone was time...he chose it to spread his message to the world. Will you hear it, will you absorb what he had to say or will you reject the very thing that he found so important that he sacrificed time away from his family and friends to make sure that we all heard it? He has three young sons and a wife and so much more that he could have cocooned himself with until he had no more time... they generously chose to enlighten us.

His message is important. It is uplifting; but, also cautionary...none of us have any guarantee of tomorrow...we must make the most of what we are given. I have finally given in and ordered some business cards! Not sure what that means but I suppose it means that I am gaining a little self belief. I also feel excited that I may in the future be able to generate enough income from the work to be a full time artist!

Now the challenge is to stay focused and juggle all of the exciting opportunities that are presenting themselves!

Reality Check for Victoria: College is EXPENSIVE! Anxiety producing, makes me want to puke expensive.

My scholarship paperwork is almost done and I can guess that a good chunk of my tuition will be paid for. But it's still not enough. It's less than 50%. Add on car expenses for the Spring which I don't have covered yet and mainly housing for the entire school year. I still have quite a few credits left to take before I can get my degree. And yes, I have a college fund, but unfortunately my portion of it (I have siblings, you know!) isn't going to stretch to what I need it to for the remainder of my college career.

On the upside, I've found myself a job. It's babysitting for a single Mom with 3 kids. But I would only be watching 2 of them - eight year old twins - a boy and a girl, for three afternoons a week, four hours each day. It's fun. And it's money. So that'll cover my gas, some food (I expect to be begging my parents to feed me or living on those "cup of soup" things that are like 50 cents each. Hahhh.) Oh, and it should cover books as well. Aside from the money coming in, the Mom works for a Ministry near the college and she attends the same church I was planning on going to, which is AWESOME because then I'll see the kids more than just during our afterschool hangouts! She tells me her kids are not "bratty" and I can see that she has raised them well. I feel really comfortable knowing that their Mom is raising them in a faith based household centered on Christ. I know that she has expectations for them morally that you don't always find in the average household. I'm not saying non-Christian parents don't raise respectable children, because they often do, but I'm less likely to run into rude, difficult kids when the parent is interested, involved and commited to making sure her children know how to live in the world.

My Dad was also able to get off of work during the week I plan to be traveling and settling in. It's a small thing, but a big deal to me. Lots of little things like that are working out, which makes me think that this is in God's plan for me.

But the money has me worried.

We are currently looking to expand our pool of casual technicians, to provide technical support on our training courses, film screenings, conferences, exhibitions and projects. You would be required to operate a range of audiovisual and/or IT equipment, and to provide hands on support to staff and clients. Hours would vary and would include some evenings and weekends.

Dear Presidents George W. Bush, Hugo Chavez and Dmitry Medvedev,

As a thoughtful citizen of the United States I send a warm message. Sincere concern for past trickery used by business men to influence world leaders that has led to much suffering. Much of this suffering was a necessary In economic terms wars are profitable because of the high stakes of cooperation for the winner versus . The United States government owes honest Russians' an appology for secretly supplying what is know known as the Taliban in some cases funds for war in the Russian v.s. Afganistan war of the 1980's.

The United States owes past communist leaders any unthoughtful actions that have caused suffering, and loss of life in your great nations. I appoligize for policies designed to isolate and ensure failure of solcialist governments.

The world owes George W. Bush an appology for policies that bring the world to the tipping point where legislative and enforceable policies can be implemented. Helping people learn of our personal responsibility to help the world deal with problems. To support policies that protect human rights, provide education, support careful judgement. Principles of technolgy like doing more with less and reducing our environmental impact while allowing consequential benefits like increased free time.

Legislation can continue to support human benefit and recognize more intrinsic contributions by past contributions. Good deeds shall not go unreckognized in the long run. Education clearly benefits people around the world alike. Yet, With technology one person can do the job of thousands and new accounting rules are needed to achieve this out come with out hurting those displaced by increases in productivity.

Account for those who have tresspassed against us through accounting. Accounting can take make forms, and should reflect reasonable accounting. For example a person who commits kills others in is made by those who have trespassed against us. Settle differences, and positively influence the future. Educate, Influence, and share in the increased inovations of the past, and future. Enforce and create world policies that support public, and private benefits. Sccessful world economies are accountable, educated, entertaining, moral, secure, and continue to adapt to meet challenges. Moving forward with past world agreements, carefully restating those past world agreements established after wars from the past may be helpful. Creating new agreements with much consideration to positively influence the world.

Intrinsic benefits of cooperation are accountable, measurable, and enforcable. This is evident from past contributions of people from the past. If enough people believe something it is acceptable. Work towards policy that makes evolutionary sense with our growing understanding of responsibility and lifes beauty. Public service is a good idea.

Many communities can increase the accountibility of budgets more effectively with community volunteers. Keeping communites safe as margins decline across industries at different rates appropriately as technology allows society to do more with less. Less effort, lower input, higher standards, and increased understanding. Increased public service can come in many forms. Savings for instance and protection of the environment serve to protect future generations. Money can be uniformly pumped back into projects that increase environmental health, and sustainability The loss of the world's future can be measured more accurately with new legislations of cooperation and profits for increased sustainability and benefits of cooperation when carefully measured. Serving to achieve the known benefits of accounting, careful communication, compromise, clean air, edcuation, good will, family, free choice, friendship, food, happiness, hard work, hope, peace, personal responsibility, realistic expectations, security, and understanding. Legislation that Warms public sentiment would have a great impact on the future.

Our nations can pay profits in the form of rebates for savings of economies of scale, shared assets, wealth creation, capablities, sustainability, long term benefit, minimum standards, and stated intrinsic values. Intrinsic payments is a logical part of achievable innovation of capitalism. The benefit to the future of savings achieved by cooperation can not be measured as currently structured. in unrepairable environment damage, positive values, minimum standards, individual concern, production costs, unnecessary suffering, shipping, waste, , security, and happiness despite owners of oil reserves for not producing. The United Nations can possible grow or new agencies can be created. To work towards policies that keep the world safe, inspire happiness, and make life a little easier for all. Innovation written with concern for all and the environment. Accounting for all known mistakes and avoiding future problems. Offering forgiveness. Enforcing policies with human rights, respect, and shared benefit in mind to all people in the world.

The United States along with strong people like yourselves hold great influence. We share environmental concern, economic success, military security, business, and 100's of millions of wonderful people. Russia, United States, and Venezuela must work together to guarantee the bright future of our nations.

The United States is immediately in need of Russian military support in Afganistan. Many lives will be saved with the benefit of Russia's experience fighting in Afganistan. We need to share world military responsibility. If enough people believe something that supports evolution it can become fact. A new supportive policy will help to build benefits delivered to society. Restatement of old aggreements can be of great benefit to the future and present world environment. Our cultures share so many common values.

That's a really long name.

Ok, so the newest update with this project is the following.

GCANS has completed and finalized the layout and back-end of the main system. They have completed the directory of communities in the United States. They are currently including technical specialists of all sorts that match the categories on the site. What we found interesting with the site was this.
The acronym is GCANS which they claim is Global Computer Assistance Networking System which ironically also is their funding company Groom's Computer And Networking Services which is hosted on the same server. They never deny this as if you drop the 8080 from the url you get their computer repair services.

We can't say it's sneaky because it would be rather interesting to pass this URI on verbally. It seems as this project strives on the inbound links from the specialist they support.

We still think this is an awesome idea and will continue to follow the project as it grows and expands.

Supporting computers and other technologies is very convenient since this project involves these technologies.

City Hall Entrance and Lobby in Kenmore, Washington

The City of Kenmore is seeking an artist from Washington or Oregon to create site specific work for its new City Hall development. A prominent zone has been identified as the primary location for the artist's work. The art zone includes the front entry to the facility which is a covered outdoor terrace that will overlook a future plaza expansion, as well as the interior lobby space.

The City Hall development is an exciting step in the City's efforts to revitalize its downtown and create a vibrant civic and retail core. The plan for the downtown supports the creation of a pedestrian-friendly environment with gracious open spaces, public gathering opportunities and residential housing units.

The total budget for the project is $129,000.

Project partners include: City of Kenmore, Weinstein AU, Murase Associates, KPFF Consulting Engineers, Olympic Associates, BN Builders and 4Culture.
