The long-running saga of the memorabilia exhibition seemed to get a new lease of life yesterday. A visit to the Red Shoes Theatre in Elgin ended up with an agreement that it would be staged the week after next. It will be tied in with a charity fund-raiser but exactly how long it will run remains to be seen. It also seems likely that I'll get a Two Red Shoes ballroom blog up as I did for the sister venue, The Ballerina Ballroom in Nairn.

You'll see I've included the handbill for the 1969 Isle Of Wight Festival which started on this day. I'll now do a blatant plug and tell you that I'm selling it on the Handbills and Flyers section of Rockmine. The birthday girl unwrapped hundreds of dollars worth of plastic sealed, franchised gifts, from acres of crisp paper.  Each one was exclaimed over sweetly and politely, and thanks were given.  She's a little gem that wee girl.  Then each one was handed to someone on the sideline who piled them all up in a huge shiny plastic riddled tower where they remained sealed in their packaging & untouched for the rest of the party.

B4 hid behind me, sulking and snarling and all but hissing, as he clutched our homemade gift in it's recycled wrapping paper tied with ribbon, and B4-made card.

Finally, still hiding behind my legs, he tossed our gift ungraciously to the birthday girl.  She opened it, exclaimed over it, and parked it directly onto her birthday girl head.  Where it remained, firmly in place for the rest of the day.

The homemade birthday crown dodged the shiny present mountain, and instead got worn on the birthday.

After the party, being as we were in town, we had to do grocery shopping before we trudged home.

During the week B4 had of his own volition, written his own shopping list. 
Arriving at the store we negotiated vigorously, ending with him carrying his own basket (instead of pushing his own trolley, phew).

He set off to do his own thing, me keeping an eye from an unobtrusive distance as I did mine. 

First up, four tomatoes, into a paper mushroom bag. 

Next, carrots.  He struggled with opening the plastic bag.  The woman stacking the carrots offered him help.  He declined - politely.  Now where the heck were those manners when we were in a room full of busy 4 year olds and their kindy mums, dispationately watching my hicksville homeschooly "lack of socialisation" children from a safe distance.  Sigh.

Bag finally open, he started to select carrots to put in.  There was some conversation between the carrot stacker and B4 again, I didn't hear what it was.  She called out to me.
"Your son is very smart" with a chuckle.
I smiled and made some inane "heh" kind of chin raise noncomittal reply.
She called out again.  "I asked if he needed help getting carrots and he told me
"You just carry on with your job, don't worry about me."

Ahh.  *That* kind of smart.  Right.  *ahem*.  Yeah well.  Fair nuff then.

Sanjay Nirupam – The Politician: I mention him first because he was the first one to get evicted. He had the expressions of a misfit. He appeared lost and whenever he opened his mouth he fell into trouble. He got nominated by the other inmates even before they could get to know him. Was it his politician background or was it his age difference or was it the combination of both? Or was it his ability to say the wrong things at the wrong time?
But nevertheless, the Mr. Estate Agent did manage to get noticed. Tons of people who didn’t know about his existence now know quite a lot about him. But he does deserve a clap – the man has guts; a-not-so-happening political career; pitied against people from the glamour world and in his words ‘with some item girl’.

Rakhi Vijan – Sweety fame: Raveena Tandon’s ex-sister-in-law, the once-upon-a-time queen of Indian Blonde jokes was the next one to be evicted. Within a span of some two weeks, we saw her change from the quiet observer to a cook, match-maker, campaigner, rule-breaker, gossiper and what not. Was she back-biting? Was she playing games to make herself safe? Was it that she was pitied against Rahul in the nominations – the main cause of her ouster? Her games apparently back-fired and everyone knows what happened thereafter – she ended up digging her own grave super-fast!

Rahul Mahajan – Krishna Kanhaiya: His famous politician father gets shot, he gets involved in drugs apparently, marries childhood friend, gets divorced soon after, makes regular rounds of the Big Boss people to get him in, gets declined but ultimately we find him there! He was the ever eager inmate to get into the house. He saw him spending more time in the pink room than in the blue room, we saw him spending more time with the women than with the men… The gossip king – he can give women a run for their money when it comes to gossiping!

YJ just flew off ytd, and departure this time was much easier to handle than the previous few. The goodbye was happy and fun, and the fact that he is in Michigan motivates me to fly to Toronto soon. Guess that's a gd thing :) Not having him near me for a while makes me feel kinda weird though... but i guess this feeling will be over real soon.

4 more days to my first flight (not including the super short flight i took from Genting.... heee). Kinda getting excited about it! Stupid courses not settle yet as usual, and yes, I am getting more broke day by day.... SIGH. with all the money (which is meant for my SEP) in my bank acct right now makes me living in self-denial that I am rich.. so i have been leading a luxurious life ever since money has been cashing into my acct there and then.... bad habit of mine. i am so tempted to buy a pair of new shoe and a new backpack to follow me to SEP, so that I look nice when i alight from my first flight... HAHAHA.

i am going to miss singapore food and the weather and the people... and the noisy streets....

I got my tax return back, and now have all this money that I don't know what to do with. I've been thinking about spoling myself and buying a new toy (if you thought dirty things just then, shame on you!). But the dilemma I face is that I don't know what I want.....

Do I buy the digital SLR camera that I've always wanted? (Even though I doubt i'll really put it to good use)

Or do I invest in Gold and make other lucrative investments? (Not really serious about this one, it's more a personal joke lol)

Should I just save it and watch the interest come rolling in? (And have a fairly boring life)

Or do I go against all that I stand for, and buy the Apple iPhone? (Even though I promised myself I'd wait for the next version considering the iPhone 3G has been having connectivity and battery failures??)

Hmm... Does anyone have any better ideas for me?

1. Exams are officially over! Oh my God, freedom! I woke up today feeling like I have something to do but I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO! And I am loving it okay. Spent the whole morning sprawled all over the sofa watching Fairly Oddparents. I love being a couch potato!

2. I really really REALLY don't like watching horror movies :( Watched this Thai horror movie yesterday with Gyver, Jerry and Kaming. Like wtfsrsly. I couldn't sleep properly last night. I have this tendancy to recollect everything I've seen in the movie. ESPECIALLY the scary bits. I think it helps me get over it faster but it scares me even more at the same time! Okay from now on, no more scary movies EVER again. This is the second and last time I'm watching a horror movie.

3. My yellow pumps are fixed! Turns out the cobbler uncle can actually change the hook thing, which is simply awesome! I just hope it doesn't happen again. My heart very pain. My parents keep referring my predicament to that trailer on tv where the girl wanted her father to get her the expensive shoes but her father got her a cheaper version which broke while she was dancing like an elephant at some party so she was upset with her father who ended up spending the whole night fixing the shoe for her and she suddenly became grateful. Not because my dad offered to fix my shoe. But because she is chubby. Wtfsrsly.

4. I want a temp job. Preferably office or promoter jobs. I want cash and I want it fast, baybee! So any offer is welcomed. I was thinking of going back to the admin one I had last holiday but the traveling time is killer, though I'm not rejecting the idea entirely. Hmm, we shall see.

5. Speaking of dollar dollar bills, I want to pamper myself with so many new things! The new Cute Is What We Aim For cd, more make-up and other superficial frilly items, a pair of pants (because the others are forever on rotation), the new Fall Out Boy cd, possibly a dye job, oh yes and I have to taper my Presentation Pants because they flare like a pair of hippie jeans -.- and lastly I must save for the next stock of Oh Hush tees!

6. Have I told you all about Oh, Hush! ? Shall I tell you all about Oh, Hush! ? They are this band that I have had the fortune to uncover from the millions and billions of blah bands on Myspace and they are totally awesome! Their music is super fun and dance-y. And they are my new favourite band! I love all the songs I've heard so far, especially Sunglasses. However, I have a feeling that they are actually famous people, or from some well-known bands because they keep their identities 100% secret. Hmm, who knows.

I'm glad >.> Back in 7th/8th grade I had Japanese after snack and it kind of became our class thing. But freshman year, we had it first thing in the morning, so having Japanese after snack..We're getting our period back! Hmm...Then I've got Aerobics. LOL Oh my god, this is going to be awesome. And filled with lulz. XD Then we have lunch...And I have...um..Geometry. Yeah, I kind of failed Algebra..Fuck math. And I have the teacher who hates me! WHAT THE FUCK!? This one time, I wasn't even sleeping and she walked over to my desk and told me I was sleeping! My friend behind me was the one sleeping! Bitch. And lastly, Chemistry CP. My last two classes are on the opposite sides of the school so bleehhh. :<

Hmm what else. OH YEAH, uh...Kiriyama Renn has a fake tattoo? I saw it before in his blog and I freaked out thinking it was real. It's a rose and it's on his neck. Here's a picture:

- A purple/grey stripe cardigan from Tommy Hilfiger.

- A green Dooney & Bourke Rope print bag (this was for school, lol)

I also got my bag/materials for school. My school bag is a Hello Kitty 'Alice in Wonderland' bag. It's so cute! :D I love Alice in Wonderland. And I also got a new wallet since my old one was dirty. ._. It's a Hello Kitty Cameo vinyl wallet. The Asian mall I went to only had Hello Kitty stuff...And Naruto. So..yeah. Hello Kitty it was. LOL

Yesterday mom and I visited IKEA, yes, we are very Swedish and we even ate meatballs there. Delicious as hell! We checked out the things I have been thinking of buing for the apartment and then while visiting the supermarket next to IKEA - Coop, I found this awesome stereo. The stereo itself is kind of fugly since it's white and it kind of looks like a microwave, but nevertheless I'm now able to plug in my iPod in it and listen to that one right away. It's kind of small and neat and it's got subwoofers. Good thing for Thess and Mathias when they come see me. ^.^
