What is the difference between what I want to be, and what other people want me to be?
Superman wakes up every morning and pretends to be Clark Kent. Bruce Wayne wakes up every morning and pretends to be Batman. Do I wake up every morning and pretend to be someone I'm not?

If I go through life trying to be what others expect, then I am not really living MY life. There is something very rewarding about doing exactly what you want to because it lines up with your ultimate goals. Catering to the I and not to the ME is the ultimate in Carpe Diem, and it is very hard to do. It is hard to ignore other people's expectations. I would go so far as to say it's impossible to truly ignore them.

Living life based on I doesn't mean you throw morality and certain principles out the window. I believe that there is an ultimate law we have no choice but to follow, so some things- like showing kindness to others-we should still do.
Waking up in the morning and deciding to be who I want to be is reflected far more in things like career choices, whether or not to get a degree, and certain relationship choices.
Are you Bruce Wayne, or Batman?

Ok, other than few other positive things that happened today, I would like to praise God for the large grop today.. It was actually pretty good. Well, I didn't think that large group would suck or anything, but it was just awesome. Worship went good, message was awesome, and the human knot game was quite entertaining, too. Through that activity, we could actually break some ice among each other. I loved how I could talk to the freshmen and actually smile not because I was obligated to smile, but because I was actually happy with them. I also feel a lot closer to the current 2nd year students.. I always take one step slower, but I guess it works.

I am talking about hope. I was actually being less and less confident about myself. But I see some changes tha the time made. Weird. Just by being there actually made some difference. Of course I probably did something, but still.. more of time passes by, more of hope I see.

I also want to have a hope for my faith as well. It is really weak for now. However, I would like to rely on God's mercy once again. I just gotta keep try. And one day, I will be better. There will be more hope I can rely on.

Thanks God for this beautiful mind.

Ramadan is supposed to be a time for spiritual renewal and part of this renewal is to reflect and be

Ramadan is supposed to be a time for spiritual renewal and part of this renewal is to reflect and be grateful for all the things we've been blessed with. Sometimes it seems like nothing is going right and it's never going to get better...lately I've been feeling that way (A LOT...for various reasons), so I'm just realllllyyy happy Ramadan is here. I hope I'll be able to refresh my mind and look on the brighter side of things, inshAllah. There are people out there who are suffering wayyyy worse than I am and who don't have all of the things I'm blessed with. I really should be grateful and remember that Allah (subhan wa ta'ala) only tests those that he loves and that with every hardship comes ease.

It's helpful to remember things we should be grateful for in our times of hardship, so here's my short list of things I'm especially grateful for:

1.) My religion: I truly feel blessed to be a Muslim. I hope and pray that Allah (subhan wa ta'ala) will keep me Muslim til my last breath and raise me with the Mu'minoon on the Day of Judgement (ameen).

2.) My family: My family is my rock. They keep me straight and give me support when I need it. I couldn't have asked for better parents...they raised me and my brother and sisters the best they could and went above and beyond for us in every way. It's funny because I used to think everyone's family was like mine and everyone's parents were like mine, but I found out soon enough that's not true. My family became known as "The Brady Bunch" because my parents actually got along, my siblings and I treated each other with respect and talked nicely with each other lol...it used to bother me at the time (imagine that), but as I matured, I really appreciated the fact that my family is not dysfunctional or crazy in any way, alhumdulillah :)

3.) My health: Alhumdulillah, alhumdulillah, alhumdulillah Allah has blessed me with good health, and for that I am extremely grateful. Now if only I can lose some weight... :)

4.) My community: I can honestly say I have never seen a Muslim community like my community anywhere. The people here are extremely understanding and friendly. There isn't any "masjid drama." We don't have extreme masjid politics. We don't have the Arabs vs. Desis dilemma. I've been places where when I said "salam" to someone they looked at me like I just cursed them and scuttled away, harassed. I've been places where people will say salams to you and hug you, then whisper loudly about you...while you're still there. I'm sure there are a few people like that in my community as well...it's not perfect in any way, but the good things about this community greatly outweigh the bad, and I know it could definitely be a lot worse.

5.) My future: Even though I'm constantly obsessing about my future (who isn't?), I realize that it's not really in my control, it's in Allah's control. It's hard not to freak out, especially in bad times, but we need to remember who is really in charge. We can worry and cry all we want, it won't change a thing (easy to say, hard to remember). Making dua to Allah to guide you towards or away from something (which only He knows is good or bad for you) is the best way to go. Otherwise our lives will be full of anxiety over what will happen next. I will try to remember this next time I'm freaking out about something, inshAllah.

And after each time, upon leaving, the desire subsided. Until this last one a few months ago (and I’d only been in the water for a couple of hours). For whatever reason, this time it stuck.

Now I’ve never followed surf culture or was ever in the know with what was going on in the surf world. I knew 2 names: Kelly Slater and Laird Hamilton. And that was just from reading Outside and Men’s Health Magazines. So seeing as I went to bed dreaming about surfing every night, waking up to the smell of the ocean (inside my room, nowhere near the ocean), I decided to look a little more into surfing, just in general........okay yes, to appease the surfing gods who called to me:0

As I started learning more, I found myself more and more drawn to what Laird Hamilton did and was about (namely Big Wave riding). I think we all have natural tendencies towards different aspects of physical endeavors. There are those who are drawn to short, fast, tricks and technical and then there are those who are drawn to big, far, sometimes still fast, more endurance like. I fall under the latter, hence the attraction to the big wave stuff. I have never seen big wave riding or really had any true comprehension of what it meant. Until one evening I decided to take a look. I went to the all knowing, all seeing Youtube and typed in Laird Hamilton. There was a clip entitled “Laird Hamilton: The greatest big wave surfer to have lived?” I clicked on it and was subsequently stunned into a state of shock. With each passing minute, my eyes got wider and my jaw dropped further. I must have sat there for 10 min afterwards, not moving. Over the next few days, I watched it a couple more times. Same thing happened.

I was so deeply affected and moved by it. After some time of sitting with it, I came to the understanding why. It wasn’t the big wave riding itself (although that in and of itself, blows my mind) but what big wave riding means. It is representative of the immensity of our capacity as human beings. The wave itself is the raw, powerful, limitless energy available to us in our daily life. Riding that wave is having the courage to face, accept and move WITH it. And the only way to do so and survive is to be centered, focused, calm and present to each second of the ride. Why does it take such courage? Because the bigger the wave, the bigger the wipeout (when it comes). So if the wipeout is so bad, why try? Because when you’ve tapped into your capacity to ride the giant, you’ve also tapped into your capacity to handle the crashes.

This is what big wave riding has come to mean to me. And in this year of needing to be challenged, of going to my “edge”, of joyfulness, of adventure, of not rushing it as I do so, of facing the “wave”, it was the perfect theme to match it.

I leave you with the clip. Watch it. Enjoy it. Draw inspiration from it. Go find your Giant.........and Ride it!

At long last QuickConnnect Objective-C is available. It brings to the Objective-C language the ease of use of the QuickConnect architecture. It is written in such a way that it can be used in either an iPhone or Mac application. It is particularly helpful when handling requests from JavaScript that follow the pattern shown in the previous posting on calling Objective-C from JavaScript.

It also includes a completed wrapper for retrieving and storing data in an SQLite database that was shown in an earlier posting.

It will be included in the QuickConnectiPhone release with example code that will be posted soon on the quickconnect sourceForge site. The examples will be directly from the book I am writing for pearson publishing on Hybrid iPhone application development.

I hope this framework comes in handy for you as you create your applications.

I got my first real understanding of what it means 'staged' protests. 2 of the colleagues from Germany and New Zealand described PDA protests as like a rock concert and/or family outing to them; as for PPP demo was decribed as a step to legitimite gov't to use the force when necessary (because under current law and constitution, gov't cannot use force against it's people)....Well, that is interesting! That note brought my memory back 19 years ago ... somewhere there in the East, a massive and long period of protests ended up with names being scratched from any birth records in the world.... was there any staged event?

Or, each of us are also on stage every day while we wake up in the morning/afternoon/evening. Ummm, better stop now to get some quite bite. HUNGRY!

It’s pretty tough when you’re on the long stretch of the highway, you never really stop

It's pretty tough when you're on the long stretch of the highway, you never really stop to think about where you've been. So this is where I take some time to look into the rear view mirror and reflect a bit of light in your eyes.

Week One

The first week started with a plane landing accompanied with a warm smile and hug from my aunt. She specially flew over for about 2 weeks to celebrate my gran's 101 birthday.

[caption id="attachment_11" align="alignleft" width="96" caption="Nelson Mandela Statue"][/caption]

We took her around Jozi, although a lot of time was spend with other friends of hers taking us out for dinner. Come to think of it, there's not a lot of "touristy" places to take someone in this city besides Nelson being an awesome landmark in the square. Did I hear someone say a club or museum? This is my aunt y'all!

[caption id="attachment_12" align="alignright" width="125" caption="Nelson Mandela Statue Plaque"][/caption]

What I mean to say is that all urban cities are the same. They house places for people to work and do some sort of play. I reckon the real places to tour are actually found outside the city. Maybe next time, I would say that 2 weeks is definitely not enough time to visit family, friends and go on tours/Safari's outside the city. I would appreciate some suggestions from fellow Jozians though.

She told me of my couz and his kids whilst pulling out a few dozen photos (just kiddin but there were quite a few) of the family and kids. They've growin up so fast (ages 5 & 7, or was it 7 & 9) if I remember correctly. The one thing that made me think is that she didn't have to buy them any conventional toys as they play a lot of computer and or TV games. I reckon they will be fine as they're fans of soccer at least... then again, I used to play a lot of games when I was yay-high and I didn't turn out so bad?!

[caption id="attachment_13" align="alignnone" width="126" caption="Soccer"][/caption]

It was a fantastic Saturday on ma gran's big 101! Very bright, sunny and tons of people with plenty of smiles to go around. Not to mention plenty O good foood!

[caption id="attachment_14" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="Smile!"][/caption]

Wish I could say the following day was as bright or as sunny but alas, I attended a friends' grandmothers' funeral. It reminded me of the loss of my grandfathers. I remember wanting to spend time and learn so much from them, something I couldn't do as they passed away when I was young. One of the gentlemen that I met at my grans celebration told me that my grandfather was a great artist, a principal of one of the early Chinese schools built in South Africa and a good Tennis player. All of which I didn't know, it triggered that want again as well as the thought to follow. There is nothing I can do to gain that time.

Week Two

This week went as most work weeks went with the exception of a lot intake of human fuel during the evenings, as it was my aunt's last week. I did get to spend time with my dad's cousin and their family during the refuelling evenings. We said our good-byes on Friday, she said that I should visit them sometime. Side-note: I think those parking bay occupation detectors are such a good idea.

Waking up early on a Saturday is not my thing but this time, I was willing to make the sacrifice. Crisply iron a pair of black trousers, black shirt and double windsor a black tie. I make one last check in the mirror and step out the door...

As I walk through the entrance, I take a glance down the rows before signing a donation. I see quite a few people already seated upto the entrance foyer and at the tip of the horizon, the casket and several people standing on either side of my view. I wanted to walk down that isle but the thought of "this can't be happening" caused me to pause. Just then, new visitors entered, passing me and immediately try to locate seats at the rear. At first, I make a step to follow them but then the thought crossed me that "this is the last time that you will get to see her and you won't even take up the courage to simply walk past a whole lot of people? You just can't afford to be proud at moments like these". I walk down the isle feeling eyes poking me at the back of my neck but all that fades as I approach the small glass window stopping two steps away so as to not see too much detail. I tried to stop my mind and eyes but a sea of memories and thoughts came rushing through my softy receptors.

Taking a few steps towards the right row first, then the left row, I tearfully greeted the immediate family before taking a seat in the side hall (all the seats were now taken). I kept thinking to myself that I can't believe she's gone but I was comforted and agreed with many of the words that were spoken at the pulpit. "She was selfless", "one of her ministries was to help out kids that have lost a parent or both", "she ran a nursery and tried to make ends meet even though she didn't taking anything or little from some that couldn't afford to pay", "she helped raise funds for the old age home", "she was keen to play her role and not fight to acquire any title", "she truly led a life that followed Christ and pleasing God". One of the things spoken that really got to me was that "she secretly wrote everyones name in a journal and prayed for them everyday"... I shouldn't be sad. She has done much work, leaving a great legacy and many will agree with me, that she has moved on to a better place. Let us try to aspire to at least half her legacy. I still remember her helping me grow my first plant.

We will miss you Ing Mee Blanche Brown. [1929 ... 2008]

Week Three

[caption id="attachment_15" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Chinatown"][/caption]

Please forgive me for not remembering what happened during this week, its probably 'cos its mostly filled with work anyways... but Saturday was basically an all day gaming marathon which started around 9am till 1am. I did have a break or two. The day started with me leading a driving pack and forgetting to take an offramp (where's a GPS when you need one?); fighting a war that never ends; chasing some evil looking floating hero around a Dota map with my rockets and lazer beam; not turning a firewall off hence delaying some gameplay (believe me, I tried all the trust options); blasting some dinosaur things and bugs; shooting some aliens and healing some marines in armour from a top down view... and ended with a few zombies getting their heads and other limbs blown off. Contrary to popular belief, this is no way to rest and relax yet it is an effective way to de-stress. ; )

Week 0.6

In an earlier post I wrote about the importance of ethical wills. Today, I’m beginning a serie

In an earlier post I wrote about the importance of ethical wills. Today, I'm beginning a series on how to write one.

Writing your ethical will is about reflection. It's about taking the time to sit back and really reflect on who you are. Now some of you may have had plenty of time to do that already. Others of you may find it hard to squeeze yet one more thing into a busy day. Not to worry. When I wrote my ethical will my "hair was on fire". Believe me, if I could do it then you can do it now. Here's how I'd suggest you begin.

Ask yourself why you're writing an ethical will and for whom. It's important. Otherwise it's too easy to say, "Ah, this is too much trouble. I'll start on it some other day." Chances are you'll never get back to it. In my case I wanted to write an ethical will for my partner. I wanted not only to talk about the things that mattered in my life but what I was grateful for in our years together. In the event that I died, I wanted to leave behind a legacy letter that would be of some comfort - a letter from my heart to my partner's heart. I also found it useful to have someone in mind to whom I was writing rather than a generic, "Dear family" or "Dear children" approach. So, let me ask you why you're doing this? Is it to share with your spouse things about yourself that aren't always self-evident? Or are you wanting to offer some life lessons to your children that may serve as a guide as they grow older? Perhaps you're writing your ethical will for a long trusted friend? Please note. Ethical wills are not the place to get even with someone nor to sermonize on how someone else should lead their life. Those are poison-pen letters!

Buy an inexpensive lined notebook. The notebook will become your work space as you develop the content of your ethical will. Now I can hear some of you saying, "Pen and paper! What's wrong with using my computer?" Remember what I said at the beginning. This is an exercise in reflection. It helps to disconnect ourselves from all the electronic devices that whir and click and ping. For many of us, workdays are spent staring at a screen. Finding a quiet corner undisturbed by a flickering computer screen will go a long way to allowing your mind to relax and be reflective.

Write the opening lines of your ethical will. At the top of the first page of your notebook write, "Dear............., I'm writing you this ethical will because............" Now if you've done steps one and two this should be relatively simple.

Schedule a regular time to work on your ethical will. To make certain you maintain some momentum and get your ethical will written, block out some time. Think of a time of day when it's relatively quiet - a time when you're most reflective. For me it's early in the morning. Mark into your calendar at least 30 minutes, three time a week. If you can do more that's even better. The important thing is to make a date with yourself and stick to it.

Good luck in getting started! Next week I'll bring you Part Two ~ Discovering Our Values.

It seems that I have been blessed to be part of an amazing team. I know that it is still early in the process, but I feel like the group is going places, because everyone seems to be so passionate about their career and personal ambitions. For me, I can always tell how committed or motivated someone is going to be based on their end goals and their plan for meeting those goals. Of course, some people usually surprise me by their lack of commitment to actually meeting those goals, but I believe firmly that there is security in simply having a plan in place.

As a team member, that’s probably my biggest strength…setting parameters and making plans, but of course that can also be a weakness because too much tenaciousness is never a good thing. People sometimes perceive it as bossiness or as a means of intimidation, but I really just want to prevent the group from wondering aimlessly. What I am trying to avoid this year, though is getting frustrated to the point that I just let the project fail, like I’ve had to do in the past. I don’t have all the answers, but I do have a good sense of what it takes to complete things successfully. Perhaps, I need to learn how to support other people and their ideas instead of just dismissing their ideas and asking them to go along with mine. That was an “aha,” because as much as my husband tells me to back off, I never really listen. I need to start.

During the first two months of school, the first thing I definitely want to do is develop relationships with my team and learn to be receptive of other people’s ideas. I want to treat others the way I want to be treated even in a work environment. I often feel like school/work is separate from personal relationships, but as I get older, I realize that they are the same. In fact, when a relationship is developed, more work gets done. Knowing that, will assist me in cultivating all of my relationships and reaching my goals.

I can gauge how relaxing summer has been by the length of time it takes me to get back in gear for doing tech support at school. Providing tech support is a minor responsibility for me that mostly gets called in to play at the start of each new school year. My school has an outstanding tech department, but at the beginning of the school year everyone in the computer department pitches in to ease the work flow.

The more relaxed I feel, the longer it takes me to fish out the tips, tricks and tech trouble shooting skills that got tucked away the previous June. Case in point from yesterday was the first three Smart Board issues that came my way. Thanks to Ben Zander’s words

You made a mistake. How fascinating!

I can look back at each misdiagnosis and smile that next time, I’m more likely to remember the solutions due to his words. Just in case, though, here’s a reminder to self:

Check the resolution on the computer when the board does not register being touched in partial areas once it has been oriented.

Check that version 9.7 of the notebook software (we are using 9.7, with plans to upgrade to 10 in January) is installed on any computer attached to a board where the orientation is off by a few inches.

Check that the ceiling projector is set for the computer on any board that turns on but is not displaying the computer’s desktop.

Happily, our neighborhood pool is open through September 15th, and I can swim through the summer segue. And then the decision will be whether to join an indoor pool or not. Here’s a picture of the entrance to our neighborhood pool, taken one winter's day when the schools were surely closed!

I was too lazy to read through the daily reflection gospel today but from some reason, I thought it did not feel fine not to.. so I did..

The message hit me like a ton of bricks..

Here are some excerpts from 04 Sept 08 Good News Reflection written by Terry A. Modica

"Perhaps your job situation seems hopeless. Is Jesus telling you to look in an entirely different direction? Is he trying to take you where you don't want to go? Maybe he's pointing at a goal where the obstacles seem insurmountable. Trust him; he'll open the right doors for you."

"Remember who God really is. Even when his guidance doesn't make sense, God is still God."
"...first we have to give up our own ideas of how a problem should be fixed"

"... When we're ready to quit doing things our way, because it's only led to failure, that's when Jesus shows us where and how to find success... "

I thank Him for speaking to me today. May I find comfort in those words. May my faith strengthen...

My Dialogue with Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body: An assertion on why purity is impor

My Dialogue with Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body: An assertion on why purity is important.

Just recently I've been thinking a lot about sexuality, purity and wholeness. In recent dialouges with with fellow students, professors friends and colleagues it has come to my attention that while I have a basic idea of what I believe about sexuality and the body, I've not spent much time developing or writing on it much, and this was surprising to me considering how sacred my theology of the body has become. So today i wanted to spend some time in thought about my person, your person and why sexuality matters.

So, first of all, what is the body? Here i'm gonna lay out an assertion of the human person according to what I believe the scriptures are telling us and several interrelated theories on being. From there we'll talk about being and practical theology and finally conclude with the importance of sexuality to human identity, and ultimately why sexuality matters.

For a long time I've been disturbed by the question of what happens at marriage that inherently changes something, how is it that before a ring almost everything is off limits and then by a simple token everything is ok? What difference can a ritual make in ontologically shifting something from one place to another? Is marriage really that important in uniting two persons into one flesh, or is it a formality with pretty metaphors?

So, to answer my own question about marriage and the ontology of such a union, it is my belief that what has happened is in our conception of being when we lost the idea of being in communion we took a shift from the idea of communion as a necessary element of being. To be a person is to be a being-in-relationship, and therefore to necessitate a constant dialogue between an internal and external self-hood.

Sartre shows us in his Being and Nothingness that in reality man is never being in itself as for example a rock is. A rock simply is, but we as people lack being-in-itself because being-in-itself lacks consciousness. We are being for itself and thus lack definite being and are forced to create our being out of nothingness. And as foray into dimension theory and the propositions of time purported by H.G. Wells, if anything lacks duration it cannot be said to exist. Humans therefore are not and cannot be static being or inherently and diametrically dualistic beings, for change affects people in time and therefore their being is dynamic in that when viewed in 4 dimensions height, length, depth, and duration being is never in itself, but in relation to time, space, objects and other objects of being to discern and develop our own being.

This dynamic selfhood is the consciousness that we have of ourselves being aware of things outside ourselves and our idea of the perceptions with which we interact with the world. This, not even this is static since our perceptions change, ideas develop, and over time this self matures, corrupts, decays, grows, evolves, becomes more self aware, less self aware, directed, misdirected and always interactive. The self as relates to other objects in both time and space, in memory, and perception outside the internal perception of what we believe to be ourselves. Sartre helps us do away away with Kant's dualism of noumena and phenomena, showing us that there is no ungraspable appearance behind things but rather only things in themselves as they appear.

The external self constitutes the internal self because that self is projected onto the external world and receives its selfhood back from the dialogue between the projection and reception of meaning. The internal self is not an objective reality but exists as interpreted through our perception of self that emerges through interaction with those things that we have relationality with in the world outside our physical bodies. In Sartre's idea the for-itself of being makes of the world a blank canvas onto which it projects its being, and in marriage, to get back to the topic at hand, there is a mutual imprint of being which allows both giving and reception of being through mutual imprintedness.

Hopefully I have done some justice to what I believe Sartre is saying.

Marriage is the mystery by which human being becomes truly alive, it is sacramental, holy, and relational. The thing that changes is not the world, but our perception of self, from the myself which we are so involved in in our day to the ourself which is become myself. Therefore as we search for being in the world, the world reaches us through the eyes of another such that as we explore out for ourselves, the meaning of ourselves is presented to us in another. The other becomes the I and vice versa such that the other person is a mirror of ourselves as we explore identity through the perceptions and reflections brought out in the living interlocution of being. So that when we are called to love one another, as we do in marriage, we find our self consciousness should be caught up in neighbor consciousness. The I and Thou becomes the We that is You and the You that is the mirror of myself.

So how does all this preliminary dialogue take us back to the matter of sexuality?

Let's begin with an assertion by the brilliant and moving theology of the body by Pope John Paul II:

It seems that the second narrative of creation has assigned to man "from the beginning" the function of the one who, above all, receives the gift (cf. especially Gn 2:23). "From the beginning" the woman is entrusted to his eyes, to his consciousness, to his sensitivity, to his heart. On the other hand, he must, in a way, ensure the same process of the exchange of the gift, the mutual interpenetration of giving and receiving as a gift. Precisely through its reciprocity, it creates a real communion of persons.

Giving and receiving is perichoretic, it is interpenetrational and dynamic between the two persons of the union making it sacred. The being of two persons becomes completely mysterious in that they become not absorbed in one another, nor annihilated in the other, but having substance in the other each person is a mirror to which the other looks for that penetrating substantiality. The giving is within both parties and the reception is within both parties. The man in the garden received the woman and looked upon her, being given over to him not in the sense of her reduction to object but in the sense of his embrace of her, his reception of her is in itself a giving. In her being received she is also receiving.

The man is enriched not only through her, who gives him her own person and femininity, but also through the gift of himself. The man's giving of himself, in response to that of the woman, enriches himself. It manifests the specific essence of his masculinity which, through the reality of the body and of sex, reaches the deep recesses of the "possession of self."...At the same time he is received as a gift by the woman, in the revelation of the interior spiritual essence of his masculinity, together with the whole truth of his body and sex. Accepted in this way, he is enriched through this acceptance and welcoming of the gift of his own masculinity. Subsequently, this acceptance, in which the man finds himself again through the sincere gift of himself, becomes in him the source of a new and deeper enrichment of the woman. The exchange is mutual. In it the reciprocal effects of the sincere gift and of the finding oneself again are revealed and grow.

It is in giving oneself to the other that the other becomes the mirror through which the self truly develops. The union of marriage sanctifies ontologically what already occurs naturally, and in their giving to each other, they are enriched. Marriage is an invitation to love one's neighbor, to care for one another and to stand for one another.

So, in short what's all this talk mean to me? I'll tell you.

This body is sacred, it is baptized into the already resurrected body of Christ, my person is intimately connected with Christ, through the eucharist, and through the Spirit of life which animated Christ back to life and raised him from the dead. This body has been marked and sealed as a sacrament of the eschaton. Therefore when considering the integrity of the body, it is necessary that I should consider my person an extension of the literal body of Christ which is sacred.

Therefore as a sacramental entity this body and the bodies of my fellow humans are sacred, bearing in them the image of God, the image of Christ. Unity before marriage is not about merely disregarding a tradition, it is a violation of the spirit which animates us all, who is within us and gives us life. It is a violation of being reflecting onto another and being reflected on in such a way that the mirror formed in mutual union is never expunged and the connection is formed, because it has to do not strictly with an unimportant ritual but with the notion and condition of being itself is adultery an inadequate resolution.

To quote liberally someone, I believe it was C.S. Lewis, who said that the person who lusts does not love too much it is that the person loves too little to truly love at all.

In short, those are my thoughts for today. I hope that someone wanted to hear that. I know I'm not done with this topic, but thanks for tuning in.

Also, I realize i didn't follow my basic outline at the start, sorry for those of you who expected better. whatever.

Manufacturer’s Description
Samsung adds a Touch of Color to a blazing-fast 4ms response time

Manufacturer's Description
Samsung adds a Touch of Color to a blazing-fast 4ms response time and rich connectivity features to redefine the role HDTVs play in the home with its forward-looking Series 6 (A650) and Series 7 (A750) LCD HDTVs. Utilizing the award-winning technologies found in all Samsung HDTVs, Series 6 and 7 HDTVs deliver unparalleled picture quality and enhanced connectivity and networking capabilities that create a true entertainment hub for any home. Series 7 takes networking and multimedia management to a whole new level. Consumers can easily enjoy MPEG and JPEG files stored on external devices by connecting through a side-mounted USB 2.0, turning their LCD into a full-scale home viewing gallery, or connect their MP3 players for a dynamic audio experience.

Samsung enhances the clarity of select LCD HDTVs by replacing the light-diffusing plastic face of traditional LCD HDTVs with a natural black panel with a clear anti-glare shield. Reduced reflection of external light creates a new dimension in image clarity, highlighting black and darkened areas, enabling vibrant, more compelling colors and a brighter, clearer picture. Black will never again appear grayish. Black details will show in vivid black even in dark scenes.

The latest version of Samsung’s breakthrough super clear panel technology makes colors appear more vibrant and blacks even deeper than ever. Enhanced films reduce glare and optimize off-angle viewing.
The NTSC (National Television Systems Committee) has established the color standards all TVs in America try to meet. And typical LCD TVs only meet about 72% of this standard. Samsung LCD HDTVs use Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp backlights to give you 92% coverage of the NTSC standard, ensuring truer, more breathlessly vivid colors.

Samsung’s exclusive Wide Color Enhancer technology delivers more brilliant colors, even in bright areas of the picture where blues and greens are washed out on conventional screens. The system displays wider color reproduction, showing you truer colors – the fresh green of spring foliage, <a href="http://astore.amazon.com/samsung-lcd-tv-shop-20/detail/B001413DF8"
