So.. so so so, the blog, and the updates, and the apadabadoo, what's been going on, what is going on, why is it going on and is it a good thing that it is going on? Well.. let's see..

First off, I've not been doing much, just enjoying my last week of non-workyness, as on Monday I officially begin work again (not that my work is anywhere near difficult or even time consuming) My thoughts are, even if it gets me money, why should I do something that I despise and hold no interest in. So, I've been playing the usual, GTAIV, TF2, SCIV, FFXI and so on. I still suck at TF2 but I don't really care, FFXI I'm not playing as much as I would like as I'm attempting to level with a certain moron who's NEVER on, I may just level without him as it's beginning to bug me.

So, what else has been going on, from the Lant side, not really much, just some stuff, oh, to clarify, I am two people in one, there's the Lant side, which is the normal side, who plays Soul Calibur, Brawl, normal games and stuff, then there's the Montman side, which is the MMO  aka wierder side. Indeed, on the Montman side some things have been happening, namely, this.

Yeah.. I sort of just pound out the first thing that comes to mind. Oh well! Hmm so there was that and uh.. yeah that's pretty much it. If you were wondering that the post prior to this was about, not much really, I just found that picture oddly relevant, I finish work, look at the internet, and then despair and the stupid things I find there, then, naturally, I add to the stupidity.

Saint's Row 2, Lantolio, what the fuck, I hear you cry, but wait, hear me out. I know it's a game about rappers much like GTA:SA is/was, but look on the bright side, when you boil it down, it's pretty much just GTAIV, with co-op mode, different things, MP mode that looks as interesting as GTAIV's.. and..

YOU CAN THROW PEOPLE.

So what? You can throw people? Use your imagination you swirling snorting shitty anuswanderer!

You can throw people into PLANES, TRAINS, AND CARS. Indeed, in the quick demo they showed, he threw somebody off the top of a building, and another person into the wing engine of a plane, assuming you can do that in multiplayer.. heh-heh-heh. So yeah, If I can get a few of my friends to buy it, I think Saint's Row 2 will be a getter.

Now then, Call of Duty 5, I'll bet if you're reading this you were pretty skeptical as to the game being good, it's not done by Infinity Ward, afterall, I shared your worries up until a few days ago. Why? Well, aside from the fact that it's being built on the great COD4 engine, the game now has online 4 player co-op, the few scenes they've demo'd looks like they are keeping the "intense" nature of COD4, and improving upon it, getting Jack Bauer to voice one of the Sergeants is a pretty cunning scheme too. The battles look alot more open, which is something very good for a WW2 shooter, you can hobble about these large fields in Japan, burning the trees and grass with flamethrowers, as planes zoom about overhead.  Of course.. there are a few gripes I have with it, not really huge issues though.

It's WW2 based again, I don't really like WW2 shooters to be honest.

No British campaign. Not really an issue but.. I think alot of people do prefer to play as their own country in games like this, I think that may be one reason COD4 is so popular here in the UK (voted the best game of all time recently over here) I may be wrong, who knows.

So yeah, aside from Fable 2, Gears of War 2, potentially The Force Unleashed (that title bugs me, as it begins with The) and Warriors Orochi 2, there's Saint's Row 2 and CoD5, and for you Sonyfriends, there's uh.. Little big planet and Resistance 2, which both look alright. For Wii owners? lol. Brawl's been and gone.

Oh right, there's a rumour going around several non reputable places, that in 2009 Nintendo will release a portable Gamecube, much like the PsP, to replace the DS? I doubt it.. perhaps this is to appeal to their "hardcore" market.. god knows they are losing them. Especially after that embarassing E3 show. Come on Nintendo.. you've got THE PERFECT FUCKING CONTROL SCHEME FOR IT.

WHERE IS MY FUCKING F-ZERO AND LYLAT WARS.

Probably in the same place as my new Zelda game. Idiots. Why is it that I can market to hardcore gamers better than 20+ year old company.. bring out a new Zelda, build in co-op gameplay much like Four Swords, but make it in a style much like the classic Zelda (classic 90-2000's Zelda, not the classic classic Zelda) then just add in Wi-Fi co-op play. Voila, you've got a game that appeals to retard scrubs and actual gamers at the same time. Then, bring out a new F Zero game which utilizes the Wiimote/nunchuk in a great way for a racing game (which you can do) and then do the same for a Lylat Wars/Star Fox game. Hell, maybe even bring out a new Smash Bros game for the DS, that's another game bound to sell millions, even if you just make it a port of Smash 64 with updated graphics, online play and a few new characters/modes etc.

As for you Blizzard, I've got my eye on you. Why don't you use that money you get from 10 million subs on something decent, not some shitty Diablo game, or even worse Starcraft game, why don't you use it to make an MMORPG that is fucking AMAZING. I don't really care if from a business point of view it's stupid to have competition to your own game or whatever the fuck, does anybody honestly think if WoW loses 1-2 million players to a new Blizzard MMO, it'd affect them? lol?

Think about it logically, Blizzard uses their absurd amounts of money to hire some people with brains, and these people make an MMORPG that is fucking AWESOME and what an MMO game should be like. Then, oh I dunno, say, the 5% of non retarded WoW players migrates over to it, along with a couple of new players, bam, there you go. A great MMO with a user base of 500,000-750,000, the perfect number. I hate when MMO's get too many players, it ruins the game, look at WoW. It's steadily got worse and fucking worse over the years as more IDIOTS begin playing it. Small playerbase of intelligent people >>> Huge playerbase of scrubs.

Saints Row 2 looks like it is going to be awesome. It's got all the ingredients that makes GTAIV so good but it isn't taking itself so seriously. There is a lot of humour in it and that could set it apart from GTA.

We also saw Smackdown vs Raw 09. Now I've never played them but it basically looked like more of the same. They have customized the Wii and DS versions to take advantage of their specific control methods but we didn't get hands on the code so it's hard to say.

The PS3 code that we saw looked very polished and in the past we have sold the most of this game to PS2 owners. With the price of the PS3 coming down and the bluray having won, this is proving to be the year of the PS3 and may well be the year SvsR09 really kicks in. I think THQ know this too because they are going to do a Ltd edition tin on the PS3 only. Called the "Ringpack", it comes with an extra bluray disc with exclusive WWE footage. Out on the 7th Nov, we will try and get as many of these Ltd Ed tins as we can - definately one for the collectors!!

Another announcement was Darksiders Wrath of War - an action adventure game in the Zelda/God of War genre. Designed by Marvel Comics legend Joe Madureira, you play the four Horsemen of the Apocalyspe who have been imcorrectly set loose after the end of the world was triggered early. The style of the game looked brilliant - for me, definately one to watch. Zelda games are my all time faves do anything in this style, I will give a go to.

Saints Row 2 brings true freedom to open-world gaming. Players can play as who they want, how they want, and with whomever they want in this sequel to the much acclaimed and tremendously successful Saints Row. Set years after the original, the player finds himself in a Stilwater both familiar and strange and challenged with bringing the Saints back as the rightful kings of Stilwater and bringing vengeance to those who wronged him.

Saints Row 2 Cheats and Codes

The adult entertainment superstar, Tera Patrick, has been assigned as a "Special Producer" for Saints Row 2 - developed by Volition Inc. and produced by THQ. As a matter of fact, she'll be one of the celebrity appearances at Comic-Con 2008 that will be promoting the game and she'll be taking pictures and signing autographs on exclusive SR2 art at the THQ booth on Saturday from 2:30 - 4:00pm... giving you another incentive to make the trek to southern California!

You may be asking the same question we are. What will Tera Patrick be doing for THQ? We have not the slightest clue... If she's not assisting in developing a character in the game, she may just be giving some insight or providing her voice for a character. I guess we'll just have to wait until a news story breaks out about this at Comic-Con -OR- through an exclusive news release from IGN.

So I had heard but didn't believe... but it looks to be true. It appears as though Volition, Inc will be getting porned (yes like pwned but better[?]), in the form of one Tera Patrick.

I doubt Tera's appearance or involvement in SR2 will be like the bizarre Virtual Jenna type "experience".

But I wonder if it really matters since the release of GTA:IV will Saints Row do as well (especially on the x360 platform).

Porn Starlet Tera Patrick is apparently going to be putting her "special touch" to work on Saints Row 2, helping out with some aspect of development. It will PROBABLY be porn related.

"Further details on Tera's involvement with Saints Row 2 will be released leading up to the game's October 14th launch on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3." We're interested to see exactly what it means by her "special touch." Is she going to program the network code then?"
