Invece sono sempre stata qui. La casa si è svuotata e l'ho trasformata nel mio parco giochi personale fatto di pranzi a letto e fogli sparsi sul pavimento. Ho azzerato le differenze tra giorno e notte, sballata di caffeina e scadenze. Ho lavorato, e pensato al lavoro mentre ero a letto, in auto, sotto la doccia. Una mattina mi sono precipitata giù dalle scale in preda all'ansia, ho chiamato il fidanzato e gli ho detto: "Sono all'inferno", poi ho fatto il giro dell'isolato e sono rientrata a lavorare. Ho abbracciato forte un'amica che se ne va, l'unica che qui posso considerare tale, e nella stretta ho sentito il peso dei giorni che verranno. Mi sono stordita di telefilm sulla psicoterapia e, senza rendermene conto, mi sono ritrovata a parlare dei miei guai agli analisti della tv. E una mattina ho pianto fino a strozzarmi, perchè posso accettare che la vita si accanisca, ma quando sono le persone a farlo è un dolore inaffrontabile.

Quindi, per chi se lo chiedesse, no, non sono in vacanza.

You're just not going to believe this, but Tell Me You Love Me, an HBO show that revolves around miserable white couples in therapy, won't be back for a second season. I know, I'm as shocked as you are. The description makes it seem like it would be a hit.

It takes a lot to get me to blog on a weekend, but when I found out Michelle Borth -- my future wife -- and her vagina -- my future vagina -- were let go, I couldn't sit by and not type paragraphs loaded with fragmented clauses. As I mentioned in some award-winning writing on another awesome Web site, Michelle Borth's vagina was the star of that show, and it was a bottomless monster that couldn't be satisfied no matter how much cock it ingested. It's the reason I fell for her.

But now the show is gone, leaving a void in my life as deep as Michelle Borth's vagina. Hopefully HBO will green-light a new show about white people in therapy, or just another show about people in therapy in general, and we can get Michelle Borth's vagina working again. Hopefully HBO canceling one of its shitty shows is a sign it's close to hiring me as new director of programming. My first idea for a series? The Michelle Borth Show, where she plays a crime fighter whose weapons against evil are her sexiness and cunning. And of course, her vagina.

Creator/executive producer Cynthia Mort released the following statement about the show's cancellation: "Given the considerable amount of time that has passed and despite the best efforts of everyone involved, we were unable to find the direction of the show for the second season. There are so many other stories to tell and many other ways to tell them. I look forward to doing that with HBO in the future."

Antes de hablar de la noticia en sí os voy a poner un poco al día sobre esta original serie. Tell Me You Love Me se estrenó en la HBO el 9 de septiembre del 2007 y dio muchísimo que hablar, sobre todo por su alto contenido sexual.

La serie nos cuenta las historias de tres parejas mediante una provocativa y brutalmente honesta exploración de la sinceridad e intimidad, ofreciéndonos una mirada sobre los diferentes estados vitales de cada una de las parejas. Estados que les llevarán a necesitar la ayuda profesional de la terapeuta, la doctora May Foster (Jane Alexander).

Las parejas están formadas por Jamie (Michelle Borth) y Hugo (Luke Kirby), unos veinteañeros que experimentan el sexo en toda su plenitud y que pronto se darán cuenta de que ésa se convierte en su vía de escape ante sus dispares visiones sobre la fidelidad y el matrimonio. Carolyn (Sonya Walger) y Palek (Adam Scott) son unos treinteañeros que desean con todas sus fuerzas (uno más que otro) tener un hijo. La presión debida a la incapacidad de tenerlo les pasará factura en su relación personal a todos los niveles. Katie (Ally Walker) y Dave (Tim DeKay) es un feliz matrimonio con hijos que supera los cuarenta. Su vida es perfecta en todos los aspectos excepto en el terreno sexual, en donde existe una especie de barrera que les impide abrirse el uno al otro. Y por último a estas tres parejas habría que sumarle también la que forma la doctora May Foster con su marido Arthur (David Selby).

Tell Me You Love Me profundiza en las relaciones personales y en los problemas del día a día de una manera nunca vista en televisión. Cuenta las cosas tal y como son y tratando todas las situaciones de la manera más natural posible. Aquí radica la causa de la polémica de la serie. Ser natural a la hora de afrontar la sexualidad (entre otros muchos temas que toca la serie) es algo que no está bien visto por gran parte de la audiencia (ya conocemos la doble moral de muchas personas) y en esta serie se trata el sexo de la manera más bonita que he visto en la pequeña y gran pantalla. Por supuesto que contiene escenas muy explícitas sexualmente hablando (masturbaciones, coitos, desnudos frontales,...) pero, ¿por qué es necesario maquillar algo que es natural? Si en la serie se habla sobre las relaciones personales, es decir,  podemos ver las preocupaciones de los personajes, sus problemas, su vida laboral... ¿por qué no se va a poder ver de la misma manera su vida sexual? Esta naturalidad de la que hablo logra que el espectador se identifique de una manera inmediata con los protagonistas y sus problemas cotidianos.

Además, la serie está repleta de caras más que conocidas para cualquier serieinómano. Por citar alguna, Tim Dekay al que hemos visto en Carnivále, David Selby de Falcon Crest, Jane Alexander de Warm Springs, Michelle Borth de Wonderland, Sonya Walger de Perdidos, Adam Scott de A Dos Metros Bajo Tierra y un larguísimo etc ya que Tell Me You Love Me cuenta con importantes apariciones de personajes secundarios, como la de Ian Somerhalder (Perdidos) o Sherry Stringfield (ER. Urgencias).

Tell Me You Love Me fue estrenada en España por el canal TNT el viernes 25 de abril de 2008 bajo el título de Dime Que Me Quieres (menos mal que se mantuvo una traducción literal del nombre) donde se han podido ver los diez episodios que conforman la primera, y por desgracia única, temporada. Sí, habeis leido bien. La serie no va a ser renovada por la HBO para una segunda temporada pese que el canal, antes de finalizar la emisión de los últimos episodios, comunicó que la renovaba por una segunda (y posiblemente) última temporada. Se desconoce la causa de este cambio de opinión del canal. La creadora, productora y guionista de la serie, Cynthia Mort (también productora y guionista de Will & Grace), ha declarado que el tiempo ha pasado (recordemos que hace casi un año de su estreno) y la HBO no le ha comunicado nada sobre una segunda temporada.

Es una lástima que no podamos ver más episodios de esta serie, que para mí fue la gran revelación de la temporada pasada. Nos tendremos que conformar con haber podido disfrutar los fantásticos diez episodios que forman su única temporada.

Para terminar, como habreis podido sacar de mi crítica, sobra decir que recomiendo esta serie a cualquiera que quiera ver una serie atípica, muy original y sobre todo intimista, que profundiza en los problemas a los que nos enfrentamos todos a lo largo de nuestra vida. Eso sí, no es una serie destinada para cualquier tipo de público; y no lo digo por lo explícita que puede llegar a ser en sus escenas, sino por el ritmo que tiene. Mucha gente "no soportaría" ver una serie contada de la forma en la que está Tell Me You Love Me, con un ritmo calmado y profundo.

Sin duda alguna, Tell Me You Love Me es una de esas pequeñas joyas que nos regala de muy vez en cuando la televisión.

E como há muito tempo que não havia um cancelamento, foi divulgado o termino de Tell Me You Love Me.

Depois de ter confirmada uma segunda temporada para Tell Me You Love Me, a HBO voltou com a palavra atrás e anulou os planos de produzir uma segunda época do drama sexual. A justificação dada (um pouco estranha), dada pela criadora e produtora da série, Cynthia Mort, foi a de que ela, os outros produtores e a própria HBO não tiveram a capacidade de encontrar um caminho para a série numa segunda temporada. Em Portugal a série chegou a passar no MOV.

A má notícia: Não teremos mais cenas com Sonya Walger em trajes menores (ou sem trajes).

A boa notícia: Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) terá muito mais episódios com Penelope, que pode vir a fazer parte do... elenco regular da série. :D E quem é que não pedia mais momentos como este?

Tem-se realizado, por estes dias, o habitual encontro, promovido pela Associação de Críticos de Televisão, entre a imprensa e as estações de televisão norte-americanas. Estes encontros são propícios à apresentação, por parte dos canais, das suas apostas a curto e médio prazo. É um resumo das principais novidades apresentadas pelas estações o que fazemos nesta série Projectos 2008/2009.

Primeiro as séries que a HBO tem em pré-produção e que conta estrear durante a próxima temporada, provavelmente no Verão de 2009. Uma comédia, com duração de meia hora, com o título Washingtonienne, baseada na blogger Jessica Cutler que escreveu sobre as suas aventuras sexuais com figuras políticas reais em Washington. A produção deverá arrancar no Outono e entre os produtores da série estará Sarah Jessica Parker.

Um novo drama está também a começar a ser trabalho por David Simon (criador de The Wire - A Escuta e da mini-série deste Verão na HBO Generation Kill). Chamar-se-à Treme e a sua principal temática serão as consequências do furacão Katrina.

Um outro drama, Boardwalk Express, do qual já tínhamos falado aqui, está também em desenvolvimento a pedido da HBO e, na sua equipa de produção, conta com nomes como os de Terence Winter (produtor executivo d'Os Sopranos), Martin Scorsese, Mark Wahlberg e Stephen Levinson (produtor executivo de Entourage - A Vedeta). O foco deste drama são os meandros do crime organizado em Atlantic City, nos anos 20.

Já para Setembro estão programadas as estreias da 5ª temporada de Entourage - A Vedeta e das novas True Blood e Little Britain USA. Por definir estão as estreias da novas temporadas de Em Tratamento, Big Love, Flight of the Conchords e Tell Me You Love Me. Confirmado está o regresso de Larry David e da sua Curb Your Enthusiasm - Calma Larry em 2009.

A HBO apresentou ainda as suas intenções fora da televisão, isto é o mesmo que dizer no cinema. Uma sequela do filme O Sexo e a Cidade e a continuação d'Os Sopranos no grande ecrã continua a ser hipóteses em cima da mesa. De fora está a possibilidade de haver um filme para televisão de Deadwood (que encerraria a trama).

Sabe-se que a HBO adquiriu ainda os direitos sobre o piloto Fat Sells, um drama familiar de uma hora passado no mundo da milionária industria dos suplementos alimentares. O argumento é de Gren Wells e a produção de Dave Broome e do galardoado Forest Whitaker.

A fechar aquela que deverá ser a cereja no topo do bolo para a HBO: a mini-série The Pacific, que deverá estrear no fim de 2009, principio de 2010, ambientada durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial e que tem como produtores executivos Steven Spielberg e Tom Hanks, que se haviam juntado anteriormente para a mini-série Irmãos de Armas.

Esse mês estou com mais tempo livre que o normal (Férias! :D ) e portanto é uma ótima hora de colocar alguns seriados em dia e assistir alguns filmes bons!

Seriados

• Battlestar Galactica

BSG é ótima e quero assistir de novo desde o começo. Já revi a mini-série e os 2 primeiros episódios da primeira temporada.

• Damages

Ótimo elenco e roteiro, com muitas reviravoltas. Estou no terceiro episódio.

• Dexter

Estou no 2x04, não sei porque parei de assistir. Dexter é O CARA.

• Psych

Psych é estranho, mas já cheguei no 2x05. Mas se pensar bem, até que é um seriado bacana para assistir sem compromisso.

• Brothers and Sisters

É a série que estou assistindo no momento. Ótimo roteiro. Falta pouco para terminar a segunda temporada, 5 episódios se não me engano.

• Weeds

Seriado diferente, cheio de críticas a sociedade americana, mas ainda sim é uma ótima opção. Estou na metade da primeira temporada.

• The Office

Humor inteligente, mas assisto casualmente e nem terminei a primeira temporada ainda.

• Coupling (UK)

Cópia de Friends, mas eu preciso assistir alguma comédia/sitcom pois todas que assisto estão de férias (How i Met your Mother, Old Christine, Two and a Half Men..). Estou na metade da primeira temporada.

• Dark Angel

Faz 2 anos que tenho as duas temporadas desse seriado em DVD e não passei do segundo episódio. Hora de colocar em dia.

Alguns pilotos:

• Band of Brothers

Nunca ví um seriado de guerra (existe outro além desse?) mas gosto de filmes de guerra (desde que não sejam patriotas demais, como aquele A Conquista da Honra). Não custa dar uma chance, afinal, foi caro e foi produzido pela HBO.

• Flash Gordon

Seriado Sci-Fi aleatório que resolvi dar uma chance. Nem sei quem é o cara, só sei que tem uma HQ dele.

• Criminal Minds
• CSI

Quero dar uma chance a um seriado investigativo, e escolhi esses dois para começar.

• Stargate SG-1 (Incluindo o filme)

Muitas temporadas, filmes e até Spin-off (Stargate Atlantis). Espero que seja tão boa assim.

• Skins

Preciso de um drama para repor Grey's Anatomy na pausa e Brothers and Sisters quando eu terminar...

• Greek

Não sei porque puxei isso, talvez um dia eu assista.

• Tell me you love me

Não gostei de Californication e não tenho muitas espectativas quanto a essa série.

• Dirt
• Studio 60

Apenas por respeito a Friends. Mas já adianto que já tentei assistir Studio 60 e desisti umas três vezes, e não aguentei passar do terceiro episódio de Dirt. Última chance.

Filmes:

Apenas porque ouvi falar MUITO bem.

• Piratas do Caribe 2 e 3

Um segredo: Só assisti o primeiro Piratas do Caribe.

• Hancock

Está no cinemas, gosto de filme de super-heroi. Um bêbado então, deve ser ótimo.

• Wall-E

ODEIO animações. Mas é a animação que mais ouvi falar bem nos últimos tempos (ando traumatizado com animações ruins, como A Viagem de Chihiro.. uma b****!).

Revi o primeiro hoje. Falta ver o resto.

Tell Me You Love Me: Juro que me senti assistindo uma pornochanchada. Quantas cenas de sexo! Cristo meu! O roteiro da série é bom , o elenco me agradou bastante, mas, o excesso de cenas de sexo estragou a série. Eu acho que para ser polêmica e buscar audiência não é preciso apelar tanto, nem Secret Diary of Call Girl tem tantas cenas assim.

O interessante é o casal que tem problemas para fazer sexo foi o que mais me chamou a atenção, eles conseguiram me agradar do começo ao fim da série. Viu, isso significa quem nem sempre o apelo sexual consegue vencer uma boa história. Apesar que esse casal vai logo, logo vai voltar ao normal.

Em um dos meus últimos posts sobre LOST eu defendi o amor da Penny com o Desmond, mas depois que eu assisti esse piloto fiquei com um sensação tão estranha. O que foi aquela última cena da Sonya Walger? Apelaram demais.

The Office: Atendendo aos pedidos incessantes do meu amigo, Antônio Prado. Resolvi dar um conferida no piloto de Office. E...

Confesso o piloto da série não é um primor, as situações cômicas não são tão cômicas e o abuso moral que o Michael faz com seus funcionários me deixam irritado. Consegui sentir dó da Pam, ainda mais depois de ter feito um teste na internet, e ele ter mostrado que ela é o personagem mais parecido das séries comigo

Mas, apesar dos pesares vou levar em conta o que o Antônio me disse - Ele disse que a coisa começa a melhor na segunda temporada -, e vou continuar a dar uma assistida na série. Até porque algumas coisinhas me agradaram - A brincadeira da gelatina do Jim é bem engraçada.

Private Practice: Eu estava querendo assistir uma série médica, então pensei em “Grey’s Anatomy”, mas a série já esta na 5ª temporada e na locadora de perto de casa não tem o box dela, então, recolvi ficar com o spin-off da série. E não tenho que reclamar, Private Practice é muito bom.

Das série que eu assisti com certeza PP é a melhor, o elenco é bom, o roteiro também e o gênero também me agrada muito. Com toda certeza vou continua a assistir a série, simplesmente adorei (Das série que eu comecei a ver PP foi a única que eu já vi mas de um episódio).

Falando em SBT e “Betty, a feia”... Alguém sabia que “Ugly Betty” iria estrear na emissora do dono do baú? Acho que  graças ao SBT não. E, também alguém além de mim achou estranhíssimo a emissora divulgar “Grey’s Anatomy” como uma novela americana? Bizarro.

Falando em “Grey’s Anatomy”, que eu pretendo dar uma espiada no piloto dublado hoje, também pretendo começar a ver “Private Practice” o spin-off da série. E, falando em série que eu pretendo começar a ver, estão na lista, “The Office” e “Tell me you love me”, essa última eu até já assisti o piloto, bem interessante.

Pravate Practice é um spin-off de Grey’s, The Oficce vai ganhar um spin-off (Que eu quero ver) e tem mais uma série perigando ganhar um spin-off. Os executivos da CBS ao lado dos produtores da série divulgaram que estão com vontade de dar um spin-off à “Criminal Minds”.

E, parece que Friends vai virar filme finalmente. Falando nisso, será que sou o único blogueiro que não assistiu o filme de Sex and the City?

• Six Feet Under (A Dos Metros Bajo Tierra): Cuando la muerte es tu negocio, ¿cuál es tu vida? Con esta premisa parte una de las series más aclamadas por los críticos y considerada como de las mejores de la TV, con lo cual coincido plenamente.  La serie nos ofrece una oscura mirada sobre una familia disfuncional de Los Angeles (los Fisher) que tienen una funeraria por negocio familiar. Todo cambiará para los Fisher cuando el patriarca de la familia muere en un accidente de tráfico el día de Nochebuena. La serie combina magistralmente drama con grandes dosis humor negro. Ninguna serie ha sido capaz de retratar y transmitir las emociones humanas como esta. El responsable de esta joya televisiva es el genial Alan Ball (ganador de un Oscar por American Beauty).

• Dexter (no voy a poner la sinopsis ya que la ha puesto Cris).

• The Tudor (Los Tudor): revela la historia jamás contada del joven, poderoso, y seductor tirano Enrique VIII, cuyo reinado estuvo marcado por la traición, el odio y la intriga. Enérgico y apasionado por su país y por las mujeres, la obsesión de Enrique con asegurar su legado, le llevó a decapitar a amigos y enemigos, declarar a guerra a numerosas regiones e incluso desafiar a la todopoderosa Iglesia Católica de Inglaterra, cambiando para siempre el signo religioso del Imperio Británico. The Tudors retrata de forma dramática las escandalosas y románticas relaciones de Enrique con sus distintas esposas, además de sus escarceos amorosos y sus relaciones políticas más importantes.

• Will & Grace: La serie nos cuenta las aventuras de Will Truman y Grace Adler, dos amigos que buscan el amor perfecto aceptando que entre ellos nunca va a pasar nada, ya que a Grace le gustan los hombres y a Will también. De esta manera, afrontan juntos todo lo bueno y lo malo de sus vidas. Junto a ellos están Jack y Karen, otros dos personajes principales en la serie. Sin duda alguna, Will & Grace es de las mejores sitcoms que he visto y de mis favoritas. Pocas comedias de situación lograron tener (y mantener) un humor tan intenligente como esta. • Seinfeld: es otra de mis sitcoms favoritas junto a Will & Grace. Lo mejor para definir a esta serie es recurrir a la frase que usó Jerry Seinfeld cuando presentó la serie a los directivos de la NBC: "Media hora de nada". La serie refleja el día a día de Jerry y sus amigos sacando punta a las rutinas diarias hasta convertirlas en reflexiones filosóficas dignas de figurar en un tratado sobre las grandezas y miserias humanas.

• Sex And The City (Sexo en Nueva York): Apriori podeis pensar, ¿un chico al que le guste esta serie? Pues si! :) Mi historia con esta serie es muy curiosa (ya la contaré más adelante). Carrie Bradshaw escribe una columna sobre sexo y relaciones en un periódico neoyorquino. Sus tres mejores amigas son las siguientes: Samantha Jones, una importante publicista que está más interesada en el sexo que en la búsqueda de una pareja Miranda Hobbs, una cínica abogada que rechaza la idea preestablecida por la sociedad de que la vida si no es en pareja no merece la pena y Charlotte York, una galerista de arte muy puritana y clasista que quiere vivir su propia historia de amor de cuento.

• Carnivàle: En tiempos de tormentas de arena titánicas, sequía y pestilencia (todo ello signos de la furia de Dios y el Apocalipsis) la batalla final entre el bien y el mal está a punto de comenzar. Carnivàle retrata el viaje de unos peculiares personajes de un circo ambulante durante la crisis de 1930. Este grupo de curiosos personajes están liderados por un joven misterioso que se combierte en el centro de la batalla entre el bien y el mal.

• Medium: serie inspirada en la vida real de Allison DuBois, una joven madre y esposa capaz de ver y comunicarse con los muertos y adivinar a través de sus sueños, la verdad de aquellos que tiene cerca. Este poder sobrenatural llevará a Allison a colaborar en secreto con la fiscalía en un intento por resolver todo tipo de delitos, en especial, los más violentos.

• Nip/Tuck. Al Golpe de Bisturí: te introduce en el superficial mundo de la cirugía estética. Revela de forma dramática la compleja y frágil naturaleza humana de los pacientes que intentan enmascarar sus debilidades psicológicas gracias a modificaciones estéticas en su aspecto físico. Capítulo a capítulo, la serie traza un despiadado retrato de los profesionales de la cirugía estética, salpicado de sexo y humor negro. Los clientes de la clínica proporcionan la base para los disparatados argumentos de la serie, y muestran todo un catálogo de rarezas y patologías, maniáticos de la mutación física obsesionados con el aspecto físico y su alcance, y decididos a transformarlo, a veces de forma radical, a veces sutilmente.

• Roma: nos cuenta con todo lujo los secretos de la que fue una de las más importantes civilizaciones.

• Tell Me You Love Me (Dime que me quieres): Al igual que con Dexter, esta serie ya la citó Cris.

No penseis que sólo vamos a hablar de las que hemos incluido en nuestros listados. Además de estas vamos a comentar otras muchas, pero las que hemos seleccionado para los post de presentación son nuestras debilidad, asi que si no veis vuestra serie favorita por ahi tranquilos que nos hemos dejado muchas en el tintero ;)

• 30 Rock (Rockefeller Plaza): Tina Fey, quien fuera guionista del Saturday Night Live, ha creado esta serie donde ella es la protagonista. Se basa en la vida de Liz Lemon, guionista de un programa de la NBC. Todo empieza con la incorporación de un nuevo jefe (interpretado por Alec Baldwin), que quiere hacer cambios. El primero de ellos será modificar el programa de Liz, incorporando un actor en tiempos bajos, Tracy Jordan, que se convertirá en el protagonista del programa, con que ello conlleva. Ya que los actuales protagonistas del programa se verán relegados y empezarán los problemas. Es una serie muy divertida.

• Carnivàle

• Chuck: Un tipo normal, un poco friki, que trabaja en el Buy More (un tipo Media Mark) y vive con su hermana. Tiene una vida normal hasta que recibe un e-mail de un antiguo compañero de la universidad con imágenes que contienen secretos del gobierno. Desde ese momento, su vida cambia por completo al tener que lidiar con una agente de la CIA, Sarah, y un agente de la NSA, Casey, mientras que para sus amigos y familia tiene que seguir siendo el mismo Chuck de siempre. Una serie totalmente recomendable, con mucho humor y acción.

• Dexter: Un asesino en serie que trabaja como analista de sangre en el departamento de policía de Miami. Pero es mucho más que eso, hay que verla para comprender y querer a Dexter. Para más información de esta grandiosa seria visita: Dexter-Spain.

• Héroes: Personas aparentemente normales que descubren que no son como las demás al tener una habilidad especial. Su misión: salvar el mundo.

• How I Met Your Mother (Como conocí a vuestra madre): Ted Mosby a sus 27 años se da cuenta que tiene que empezar a buscara la mujer de su vida al ver que su amigo de toda la vida se han comprometido con su novia. Serie que trata de las aventuras de Ted y sus amigos. Muy divertida.

• Kyle XY: Un chico de 16 años aparece desnudo en el bosque sin saber quién es y sin reconocer nada de lo que le rodea. Tiene que aprender de la vida con la ayuda de los Tragers, una familia que lo acogerá en su casa.

• Lost (Perdidos): ¿qué decir de esta serie que la gente no sepa ya? Un avión se estrella en una isla, mientras que los supervivientes intentan sobrevivir allí se dan cuenta de que en esa isla pasan cosas que no son normales… Serie excepcional.

• Prison Break: Lincoln Burrows es condenado a muerte, su hermano convencido de su inocencia se tatúa los planos de la cárcel y roba un banco para que le metan en la misma que su hermano, para sacarle de allí ya que tiene planificada la fuga perfecta. Serie recomendada, aunque con el paso de temporada haya perdido un poco la calidad hay que confiar en la 4ª que viene…

• Psych: Shawn, un hombre que tiene la habilidad de quedarse muy bien con las cosas y fijarse en cada detalle, se hace pasar por un vidente ante la policía y así ayudarles a resolver casos. La serie narra las divertidas aventuras de Shawn y su inseparable amigo Gus mientras intentan resolver los casos policiales.

• Six Feet Under (A dos metros bajo tierra)

• Smallville: Esta serie nos cuenta las aventuras del joven Clark Kent y su evolución hasta convertirse en el héroe que todos conocemos, Superman.

• Tell Me You Love Me (Dime que me quieres): Tres parejas, cada una con un problema distinto, intenta superarlos acudiendo a la consulta de una psicóloga.

• The Big Bang Theory: Serie que narra las aventuras de dos físicos muy muy frikis (y sus amigos que también lo son) que viven juntos. La historia comienza cuando al apartamento de enfrente se muda un chica guapa, y que despierta el interés de uno de ellos. Serie divertidísima.

• The IT Crowd (Los informáticos): Toda empresa tiene su departamento de informática, esta serie está basada en este departamento, donde trabajan dos tipos frikis. La serie empieza con la incorporación de una mujer como jefa de departamento, aunque no tiene ni idea de ordenadores.

• The Office: Serie que narra las aventuras de los trabajadores de una oficina de la empresa Dundin Mifflin. Hecha a modo de falso documental, es una serie espléndida, muy divertida.

Y esas son, casi nada ¿eh?

I'm just a little bit after the halfway point in watching HBO's newest series, Tell Me You Love Me, and i'm really liking it. I think it's important to point out the difference in between liking and enjoying, as there are definitely times where the show was difficult in watching, but nonetheless the endresults are just as affirming.

The show evolves around three couples who are all in the process of a relationship therapist, and the difficulties the they all face in their relationships. There's a definite plot line, but instead of focusing on that the show insists on detailing the three relationships: Carolyn and Palek, a young successful couple who's struggling to be pregnant, Jamie and Hugo, an engaged couple with monagamous issues as well as a history of infidelity past, and Katie and David, who is by far my favourite couple, who are having trouble rekindling their sex lives after years of marriage and with two children constantly in the household.

Tell Me You Love Me is inevitably about these relationships, and it focuses meticulously around that topic. The show has a very intimate, if not claustrophobic, feel to it, and part of it is from the lack of a soundtrack but moreso the controversial amount of uncensored and realistic sexual contents on each episode.

But the show isn't pornographic by any means. As Wong-Kar-Wai had stated in making the movie 2046, that it is a difficult and precise task to capture the sense of emotions and eroticism without being pornographic. And this shows reflect that. These raw scenes catapult you into their innermost and honest lives and I can't see the show showcasing the same intimacy level of these couples without it. It absolutely defines a groundbreaking way to successful storytelling.

There are times when the show becomes difficult to watch, as if you're witnessing the bad part of the relationship with no way out. The faults are usually not due to their jobs or other external factors, but from basic human misunderstanding to difference perspectives, and it's difficult to watch because these characters are so translatable and transparent to real life. They make the very same mistakes we make.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the characters develop, and perhaps at the same time i hope to learn a bit more about myself, if not about love itself.

Eu tive a oportunidade de assistir o primeiro capítulo desse seriado e não gostei muito do que vi.
O tema é batido e rebatido (Terapia de Casais) e 3 casais mostram seus problemas aos telespectadores com um dramalhão quase mexicano e quase pornográfico. As cenas de sexo são tão reais que chegam a ser chocantes! O limite entre o sensual e o pornográfico! Só no primeiro capítulo, creio que vi coisa demais...

A partir de mañana Domingo 08, no te pierdas el estreno de la nueva serie de HBO, TELL ME YOU LOVE ME. La serie trata sobre la vida íntima de cuatro parejas que se encuentran en difrerentes etapas de sus vidas. Katie y Dave no tienen sexo desde hace tiempo; Carolyn y Palek no pueden tener hijos y, Jamie y Hugo poseen distintas visiones sobre la fidelidad. La Dra. Foster será la guía de estas parejas para afrontar los conflictos de sus matrimonios.

Los Domingos a las 11PM (Hora Anunciada) por HBO

O laço mais complexo que pode existir entre dois seres humanos é o relacionamento amoroso, afetivo - dividido com o eco em torno de quatro paredes. Os seres humanos são por si só cercados de tabus, paradigmas, anseios, receios e insegurança. Quem não ama ouvir que é amado? Melhor: quem não ama se sentir amado?

Partindo desta premissa - e a de que todo mundo é fodido por natureza - a HBO Brasil lança no dia 8 de junho, sem muito alarde, a série "Tell Me You Love Me", que conta o dia a dia de quatro casais: o de 20 e poucos anos, o de 30 e poucos anos, o de 40 e poucos anos e, dando um salto maior, o casal de 70 e poucos anos.

Parando aí, a série já seria fantástica, pois aborda os grandes dilemas de cada faixa etária (chegaremos aos dilemas), mas ela vai além. Aproveita-se por estar em um canal a cabo (nos EUA também é da HBO) para virar quase um soft-porn europeu. Você aí de 20 e poucos anos, transa, não? De 30 também, certo? Então, na série não teria porque o sexo não fazer parte da vida de um casal. Em Diz Que Me Ama – título nacional – não há espaço para falso moralismo. Como disse Rodrigo Garcia, um dos diretores da série, mente por trás da também excelente “In Treatment”: "Esse negócio de que mulher se cobre com o lençol até o pescoço depois do sexo não existe".

Série é criticada por mostrar demais

Em uma coletiva de imprensa, a primeira pergunta que Cynthia Mort, criadora da série, foi obrigada a responder, foi a seguinte: "E aí, Cynthia, é tudo verdade como parece?".

As cenas de sexo em “TMYLM” são de um realismo assustador. Apesar de negar veemente que seriam de fato, reais, Mort e sua cria foram - e estão sendo - severamente criticados - aqui, negativamente - pelo uso em excesso de sexo e, principalmente, nudismo frontal.

Talvez o que mais perturbe são as cenas que parecem ser protagonizadas por mim ou por você, pois são simplórias ao extremo: masturbação, sexo oral, aquela briga em um domingo ocioso que logo se transforma em uma inesperada rapidinha no sofá. O maior motivo das críticas ao programa não é apenas a sua simplicidade ao abordar e desconstruir relacionamentos e sexo, mas seu realismo: Tell Me descarta qualquer “glamouralização” hollywoodiana, mega produção ou maquiagem para esconder mamilos, pênis, enfim, ângulos pouco convencionais das genitálias do sexo masculino e feminino.

Os casais

Michelle Borth e Luke Farrell Kirby interpretam Jamie e Hugo, respectivamente, casal de 20 e poucos anos dividido por atos impulsivos ligados a qualquer jovem e a vontade de oficializarem sua longa relação trocando alianças. Em determinado momento do episódio piloto, os dois conversam:

JAMIE: Você flerta e eu odeio!
HUGO: Eu preciso estar apaixonado por alguém que confie em mim.
JAMIE: Você deveria estar. Só não acho que esta pessoa seja eu.

Porém, como qualquer jovem casal, pecam pela falta de segurança e maturidade em seu relacionamento. Hugo flerta com outras mulheres e Jamie não só sabe como detesta. Quando ela suplica ao cara por uma maior segurança, mais gestos de afeto – como quando ela pede para ele dizer que a ama e que nunca a irá trair -, ele responde o que todas as mulheres nunca desejariam ouvir:

HUGO: Não posso dizer isso. Não sabemos como será o amanhã, Jamie. Você realmente acha que serei o último cara para quem você vai dar na vida?

E o relacionamento começa, vagarosamente, a desmoronar. Alguns episódios depois, Jamie vai à procura de terapia e acaba no escritório da Dra. May Foster.

Sonya Walger (a Penny de Lost) e Adam Scott interpretam Carolyn e Palek, respectivamente, casal de 30 e poucos anos que tem um casamento estável, porém desequilibrado emocionalmente pela incapacidade de conseguirem ter um bebê. Ambos são saudáveis e sadios, os espermatozóides de Palek são "vencedores", segundo seu médico, mas o casal já tenta a mais de um ano ter um filho, em vão.

Os dois protagonizam as maiores cenas de sexo explícito do programa, afinal, buscam incessantemente, um terceiro membro para a família - e o sexo em busca de um bebê não é o sexo apaixonado que um casal jovem faz quando volta pra casa, é uma transa rápida, fria, sem emoção: quase um estupro. Não. É um estupro. Com a frustração pelo insucesso, os dois acabam procurando uma terapia de casal com a Dra. May Foster.

O terceiro casal é formado pelos atores Ally Walker e Tim DeKay, que interpretam Katie e Dave, respectivamente. Os dois formam provavelmente, o casal mais fucked up do seriado. Katie entrou nos 40, é sozinha, tem um casal de filhos para cuidar e poucas amigas. Dave, é distante, parece ter repulsa por Katie e os dois, casados há 15 anos, não transam a mais de um ano – o que não impede Dave de, vira e mexe, se masturbar na cama.

Katie, mais insatisfeita que Dave, tenta reverter a situação - sem muito sucesso -, e ela acaba no consultório da Dra. May Foster, mas Dave se recusa a participar do que seria uma terapia de casal.

O último casal é representado pelos atores Jane Alexander e David Selby. Alexander interpreta justamente a Dra. May Foster, cuja presença na tela torna o seriado ainda mais sofisticado, pois após abordar casais problemáticos em crises de fidelidade, gravidez e sexo com seus cônjuges, o show oferece os anseios da psicóloga e seu casamento de 43 anos de duração.

Por ela e seu marido fazerem parte da chamada terceira idade, a TV convencional – não falo da TV aberta, mas outros canais a cabo - provavelmente nos pouparia de cenas de sexo envolvendo os dois. No duro? Por quê? Certo que idosos de 70 e poucos anos de não fazem tanto sexo assim, mas May e seu marido Arthur transam que nem coelhinhos: o terceiro episódio da série se encerra com os dois fazendo sexo e May sussurrando ao ouvindo de Arthur:

MAY: Me come! Me fode! Entra dentro de mim.

A série não só é excepcional em seu visual e realismo, mas em sua concepção de que todos os casais de diferentes faixas etárias são iguais: as mulheres de 20 e poucos têm medo de infidelidade, as de 30 de não conseguirem constituir uma família e as de 40 de viverem sozinhas, sem sexo. Os homens de 20 e poucos anos têm dificuldade em se manter em um único relacionamento, os de 30 em acompanharem persistentemente o desejo de sua mulher em ter um filho e os de 40 em manterem o desejo e prazer de fazer amor com sua parceira.

É uma generalização, que verdadeira ou não, dá certo e transforma Tell Me You Love Me na melhor estréia da temporada passada de seriados norte-americanos.

Na semana passa a empresa Bell Canada começou a distribuir episódios completos de séries da HBO para seus assinantes.

A novidade é fruto de um contrato entre a operadora canadense de telefonia e a empresa televisiva.

Agora alguns dos canadenses podem assistir episódios de Família Soprano, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Tell Me You Love Me e Sex and the City por demanda.

Ou seja: o episódio que querem, quando querem.

O valor médio é de 10 dólares canadenses por episódio, e eles são vendidos somente em inglês. Versões dubladas em francês deverão ser lançadas em maio.

HBO est la reine du câble. Elle n'a pas perdu son titre, elle a donné naissance à un développement, elle a créé un phénomène responsable de tout un bouleversement, qui, il faut bien le comprendre, ne se limite pas au câble. L'une des principales erreurs du débat est de croire qu'HBO ne joue que sur le câble. Je parle de séries télévisées, ce qui est donc intéressant est donc de constater l'évolution des networks par rapport au câble.
J'aime la chaine pour ce qu'elle offre : une liberté artistique. Elle a crée la série de référence, elle a remis la fresque historique au goût du jour, en offrant la plus belle réussite dans le genre, elle a donné jour au modèle de la série féminine, de l'univers carcéral. Elle a laissé Clooney et Soderbergh lui créer deux programmes indescriptibles.
Mais HBO, c'est Arliss, les Contes de la Cryptes, Dream On, Fraggle Rock, The Larry Sanders Show .... et beaucoup d'autres. C'est une chaine comme toutes les autres dans ses directives, à la différence qu'elle a créée l'idée de liberté de ton. Elle fait des faux pas dans ses programmes, et aujourd'hui, elle en est arrivée à un stade de différenciation et de programmes un peu trop en décalage pour certains spectateurs.
Tell Me You Love Me pousse le concept intimiste dans ses limites, John From Cincinnati est un extra terrestre, et In Treatment demande une implication totale.
Pourtant, le débat se tourne toujours vers la future chaine, celle qui aimerait remplacer HBO. Personne ne remplacera HBO. Le marché s'est ouvert, mais en soi, on ne peut dégager le fondateur. C'est comme ça.
Alors que ceux qui débattent veulent parler de la relève, je ne considère ni FX, ni Showtime ainsi. Vu qu'ils semblent que ce soit les deux chaines les plus concernés.
Peut être parce que je jubile d'avance à l'idée de voir un jour sur mon écran l'adaptation du Trône de Fer, et que tout lecteur des romans de G.R.R Martin doit connaître ce sentiment de peur et d'exaltation face à un tel projet. Parce que je me demande comment Alan Ball va-t-il faire pour garder le ton si léger de Charlaine Harris, et en faire un programme plus que sympathique, et réussir à intégrer tous ces éléments, et cette ambiance... Parce que je regarde John Adams, et In Treatment. Parce que je suis curieuse de voir Generation Kill, de même que N°1 Ladies Detective Agency , que Preacher est quand même attendu.
Parce que pour moi, HBO est HBO, FX est FX et Showtime est Showtime. Il n'est pas question de compétition, il est question de séries. Je n'ai pas lâché HBO, j'attends toujours avec impatience de voir ce qu'elle a à m'offrir, et de prendre si j'en ai envie, de m'en aller si je le veux.
Je ne paie pas une fortune pour avoir accès à la chaine (car cela coûte assez cher !), mon implication n'est pas la même que le spectateur américain. Sur le sol français, j'ai le choix. Mon problème n'est donc pas la chaine, mais le programme qu'elle me livre. Je suis sériephile, ce qui m'intéresse, c'est de débattre autour de la qualité d'un programme, comme je le fais autour d'un film.

J'aime débattre sur la qualité d'un épisode, qu'on se dise ce qu'on a aimé, ce qui nous a surpris. Les Qu'as-tu pensé de la fin de BSG ? Life On Mars n'est-elle pas une série surestimé ? The Fixer vaut-elle le détour ? Quelles séries asiatiques me conseilles-tu ?
Ces mêmes questions qui viennent après un film, car on ne se préoccupe pas de qui le produit, on ne se préoccupe justement que du produit. C'est toute la différence.
Je vis la télévision un peu de la même façon. Je ne me préoccupe pas de qui donne l'argent, sur quelle chaine, je prends tout et je trie, selon mes goûts. La passion ne choisit pas un domicile, elle va là où une porte s'ouvre.

Para começar, vamos analisar a categoria de melhor atriz coadjuvante. Com certeza, teremos uma ou duas representantes de Grey's Anatomy. Provavelmente, Sandra Oh e Katherine Heigl (apesar de eu preferir a Chandra Wilson em relação à Izzie). Outra indicação praticamente certa é a de Rachel Griffiths, de Brothers & Sisters. Falando em B&S, Calista Flockhart também tem chances de estar entre as indicadas. Das outras séries, não podemos deixar de fora a Jennifer Carpenter (Deb, de Dexter), Rose Byrne (Ellen Parsons, Damages) e, em uma aposta com menos chances de se concretizar, a Summer Glau (Cameron, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles). Agora, se o Emmy quer recuperar o prestígio perdido comigo pela edição do ano passado, PRECISA indicar Elizabeth Mitchel, de Lost. Não só indicar, como dar o prêmio para a maravilhosa Juliet.

Se na atriz coadjuvante Lost está esquecida, no ator coadjuvante é favoritíssima. A briga deve ficar novamente entre Terry O'Quin e Michael Emerson, com vantagem para o segundo, que perdeu ano passado. William Shatner (Boston Legal) também deve estar na lista de indicados. Outros que tem chances são David Zayas (Batista, de Dexter), T.R. Knight (Grey's Anatomy) e, com menos chances, Donald Sutherland (Dirty Sexy Money).

Na categoria de melhor atriz, duas estão mais do que garantidas: Sally Field (Brothers & Sisters) e Glenn Close (Damages). Patricia Arquette (Medium) e Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) também devem estar na lista. Se der muita sorte, talvez Lena Headey (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) e Ellen Pompeo (Grey's Anatomy) possam entrar nessa.

Já em melhor ator, tudo indica que os de sempre estarão presentes na lista: Hugh Laurie (House) e Michael C. Hall (Dexter). James Spader (Boston Legal) e Jon Hamm (Mad Men) também devem fazer parte da disputa, deixando a última vaga sendo disputada entre Peter Krause (Dirty Sexy Money), Bill Paxton (Big Love) e Matthew Fox (Lost). Esse último com menos chances.

Para melhor elenco de drama, Brothers & Sisters, Grey's Anatomy e Damages são grandes favoritas. Friday Night Lights (indicada ano passado e com o apoio da crítica) tem chances também. Correndo por fora, Dexter, Lost, Big Love e Boston Legal. E não se surpreendam se The Tudors aparecer na lista. Just saying...

Na grande categoria, melhor série drama, três têm lugar garantido: Damages, Dexter e Mad Men. As outras duas vagas serão disputadas por váááárias séries. As principais concorrentes são: House, Boston Legal, Big Love, Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Battlestar Galactica (última temporada em abril, o que sempre ajuda), Tell Me You Love Me, Dirty Sexy Money, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles e a minha preferida e nunca indicada, Lost.

We open on Desmond, who is looking at that fake pic of him and that sweet, caring woman from Tell Me You Love Me.

The chopper gang is zipping along in their chopper. Frank checks the coordinates. What's that, Frank? "Cheat sheet Faraday drew for me." It's got them coordinates on it. You gotta coooooordinate!

Sayid is concerned. "You don't know where your boat is?" Oh, we'll know where it is. Then it gets grey out, and they start hitting switches. "Why are you flying directly into the Mr. Potato Head?" asks Sayid. Frank's like, is it Frank's? Thanks.

Sayid continues to ask a question every time the blades go around once. Charlie said Penny wasn't on the boat, so what do you think you're gonna find on the plane, Des? "Answers."

Let's tag along with our time-warping A-Team and get some of those answers.

So things get extra rocky again, and the flight goes back on that wrongo trajectory that Danny Dunn Faraday warned Frank about. Things get grey and weird, and there are big, bright flashes of white light. Frank tells them to hold on - good call! - and Des grabs the bottom of his seat, which becomes...

His bed. He's back in the military!

Time travel in the house. The commander-type guy barks at him: "What's the matter, Hume? Did you not hear me?" Sorry sir, says Des, I was 'aving a dream. "Was it about taking so sodding long ot get to your mark?" Ha, that would be ironic.

Des says, "I was in a helicopter, sir. And there was a storm, sir. And...I don't remember the rest, sir." So he remembers the future! This ep is good.

"Well at least it was a bloody military dream," shouts the guy from Dinner: Impossible. And we're outside. As punishment for Desmond's sodding long trip to the lineup, they're doing pushups in the rain, now some crunches, pilates, hip-hop krav-maga yoga, etc. The guy shouts at Des some more, and suddenly...

Des is back in the chopper again! A burst of bright white light hits his face.

Des unhooks his belt. Sayid tries to hold him down, but he stares at Sayid with utter confusion. "Who are you?! HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?!"

Come on, Des. It's Sayid. Sayid who? Sayid Jarrah. Sayid Jarrah who? Oh, pickle you, kumquat.

We join the always-boring duo of Juliet and Jack, kicking it on the island with the new kids. Jack wants to know why it's been a day and they haven't heard from them. C.S. Lewis is like, I don't know, how should I know? She makes lots of nasty faces, and Dan makes the "we're not friends, I just work with her" face.

Juliet is like, hmm, but why aren't you worried, C.S. Lewis? She gets sarcastic again, and Dan breaks in to suggest that maybe they should just tell J&J what's up. Charlotte zings him with the evil eye, zing zing zing!

"Dan, let's not confuse anyone," says Charlotte.

Dan continues anyway. "Your perception of how long your friends have been gone? It's not 'necessarily' how long they've actually been gone." Nice!! Time travel fans everywhere are crapping their pants in the loveliest way possible. Dan says it'll be all good in the hood if Frank follows the coordinates. And if not? "Then there might be side effects." Cool!

Back on the chopper, Sayid tries to restrain Desmond. Frank is like, hey, we'll be there in two minutes, let's not crash the chopper and die over this.

And whaddaya know? It's the boat.

"I knew they were gonna get to that boat yall!"

Ha, me too, Brit! I totally forgot you were here.

When they land, Sayid grabs his gun, and two guys roll up on them. Frank tells the Boat Boys that Des started acting funny when they hit some turbulence, which leads to them making faces that suggests this has happened before.

One of the Boat Buddies tells Sayid they're gonna take Des to the sick bay, and his creepy smile suggests that there's not a lot of wiggle room in the plan. Des keeps saying he doesn't know anybody. So it's Military Des stuck in Island Des's body? This is great.

Now we're back in the military, and Des is aware of his jumping around through time, which is awesome. He tells some other dude that he left their military unit, was on a boat, then came right back here where he started. The dude asks him who else was on the boat. That's a weird quesiton, eh? Des remembers Penny was in the photo, but that's about it. He goes to call her and gets shoved by another soldier by the pay phone. "Thanks for this morning, Hume." No love!

Just like that, Des is back on the boat, stumbling on the deck. We got some time warp action this week, peoples! But is it underwater. Because I'd love me some underwater time warp action. Probably asking too much, huh. The Boat Bros walk Des downstairs, introduce themselves, tell him where they're from - but stop short of explaining where they are, exactly. Only that they last ported in Fiji, "so at least we know we're still in the Pacific."

Hmm...still in the Pacific. But where?

"They could be underwater in the Pacific yall!"

We are simpatico, Brit Brit.

They put Des in a dingy medical room. "Hey! Hey," someone calls out. It's Phoebe's psychiatrist boyfriend Roger! As played by Fischer Stevens.

"It's happening to you, too, isn't it?" Des is like, oh wow. I knew I was crazy, but not that crazy. Homeboy looks crazy all strapped up in the bed. Am I strapped-up-in-the-bed crazy? Perhaps, Des. Perhaps.

We're on deck of the boat again. Sayid watches Frank and the big dude argue. Sayid wants to know what's up with Desmond, but Frank says he doesn't know. Sayid wants to know how they took off at dusk and landed in daylight, but Frank isn't a big enough character to reveal that now, is he. "Listen, I don't know what's happening to your buddy, alright? But you gotta trust me when I tell you this: I am trying to help you." Sayid suggests he can do that "You give me that weapon and I'll give you this phone," offers Frank. Sayid goes for it. "Be quick. Don't go trying to call Baghdad, those phones can only call each other." I say he should still try to call Baghdad and save a few bucks on a phone card.

Sayid calls Jack and tells him about what happened to Desmond, and Daniel is worried. "Has your friend...Desmond...has he recently been exposed to high levels of radiation of electromagnetism?" Going to or coming from the island, "People can get a little...confused." What is this, amnesia? "No, this is not amnesia." And he makes a weird, concerned, aware-of-what's-going-on face.

"I had amnesia once. It's different than this yall."

Word. So we're in the sick bay, where Desmond is staring into the Fischer's eyes, which go from blank to alert again. "I was just on a Ferris wheel," he says. Time travel is awesome.

Now the doc's here, getting a shot ready. Fischer Stevens tells the doctor, Ray, that he's not crazy, that it's happening to Des too, and that it's going to start happening to everyone when they "start going to that island again." Des is concerned. Ray goes in to give bed guy a shot and tells him to relax.

But does he relax? Not exactly. He kind of flips out. "Nothing can stop it, Ray! Nothing can stop it!" Stop what?

Des makes it clear that he's not feeling the needle, so Ray puts the needle away and takes out one of those doctor-light things to check his eyes. "Desmond, why don't you tell me about the last thing you remem - "

Back in the military era, Des picks up his coin and gets back on the phone. This is the best flash-whoshewhatsit ever, bar none, including the candy bar, Bar None. Des is like, Yo Penny, I'm confused, I need to see you. She's mad that he broke up with her and joined the army. But Pen, I got two days leave, let's do this! She's not into it, and she tells him not to show up at the flat, because she's moved. Where, asks Des? "That doesn't matter." Ah, but it does, Penny Power.

Now Desmond's back with the doc, who's still looking in his eyes. "Did you just...experience something, Desmond?" Before he can answer, Frank and Sayid roll in. They got Faraday on the phone. Ray is hating. "Faraday is not talking to my patient!" Oh, I bet he is though.

Sayid ain't having it. He throws Ray up against the wall and tells Frank to give Des the phone. Dan's on speakerphone on the other line. Isn't this an occasion not to use speakerphone? People are so rude these days. Dan guesses Desmond won't remember him from before the chopper flight, and he's right. "Desmond, we don't have long to talk, so I need you to tell me what year you think it is."

"What do you mean what year do I...it's 1996!"

Sayid is like, What? I wasn't really listening. Did he say 1996?

Dan is like, Oh man, 1996.

Jack's like, Yo Juliet, did you hear what I just heard? Did he say 1996?

Juliet's like, Yup. He definitely said 1996.

Is it me, or does Juliet know what's going on?

"Desmond, look, you gotta tell me. Where are you?"

"I'm in some kind of sick bay."

"No, no, no, not right now, dumbass. Where are you supposed to be? Where are you in 1996?"

Des tells him he's in Glasgow.

"Get on a train and go to Oxford University, Queens College Physics department."

"Why?"

"Because I need you to find me."

This is what I'm talking about!

"It's like Back to the Future II yall!"

It is like Back to the Future II! Almost exactly like it.

After the break, Dan's a-rummagin' through his bag. He needs his journal or else he won't believe Desmond. Jack asks what's up, and Dan explains that "it's unpredictable, it's a random effect. Sometimes the split is only a couple of hours, sometimes it's years." Whoa, says Jack. This happened before? Charlotte just wants everyone to shut the hell up. Look at her face.

"When you find me at Queens College, I need you to tell me to set the device to 2.342...and it must be oscillating at 11 hertz."

Des writes it down on his hand. And Charlotte looks like she just double-crapped her pants.

"One more thing - if the numbers don't convince me, I need you to tell me that you know about Eloise."

The Boat Boyz break the door down and take the phone. And Des is back in the phone booth! It's a great shot.

He drops the phone. He checks his hand. It's blank.

So his body isn't traveling back and forth through time. That much we know.

Next, we see Desmond at Queens College.

"Sorry, are you Daniel Faraday?"

Dan looks confused.

"And you are...?"

"Ahh, I'm sorry playa. I'm Desmond Hume. I was told I could find you here. I think I've just been to the future."

"The future?"

Des explains the plan, and Dan delivers that classic initial reaction that we all deliver when confronted by someone who's just traveled through time to meet us - who put you up to this? Dan thinks it's a prank until Des relays the numbers from future Dan. Actually, he still thinks it's a prank, but he wants to know who gave him the numbers. "You did." That's ridiculous. "I know about Eloise." And then, the classic, wow, you did just travel through time, reaction.

Cut to Dan's lab. "This is where I do the things Oxford frowns upon." They try to figure out the whole future thing. "This future version of me, uh, he referenced this meeting, right? Obviously. So I would remember you coming to Oxford, right? I would remember this, here, right now."

"Actually, uh...no. Maybe you just forgot."

"Yeah, right, how would that happen." But we all saw Dan struggling with the card/memory game, so it does happen.

Desmond takes his stab at talkin' future stuff. "So this, this is changing the future?"

"You can't change the future." Interesting! Dan puts a lead jacket on. Des wants one, but Des says it's just for prolonged exposure. So what do you put on your head, asks Des. "Ha...yeah." Dude, put something on your head! Or don't. It's your memory, homie.

Dan puts a lab rat in a box. "This is Eloise." Then he puts her in a maze. "If the numbers you gave me are correct, this will unstick Eloise in time, just like you." Dan gets his wacky ray gun going and zaps Eloise with the juice.

Zzzzzap! Rat's done.

It takes her a few seconds to come "back" according to Dan, then Eloise starts running through the maze. She's doing it. Dan giggles with glee. She's doing it. Dan cackles with delight. She gets all the way through! Dan has an orgasm.

"It worked! This is incredible."

"I'm sorry, how is a rat running through a bloody maze so incredible?"

"What's incredible, is I just finished the maze this morning." That's not that incredible. It's just a wooden maze! Oh, wait, there's more. "I'm not gonna teach her how to run it until an hour from now."

So he sent her to the future?

Des: "So you sent her to the future?"

"Consciousness. Her mind."

"So how does that help me?" wonders Des.

"You? Help? I don't understand. Am I supposed to help you? Didn't I send you back here to help me?"

"I don't know why you sent me here! All I know about you is, you end up on some bloody island."

"An island? Why would I go to an isl - "

Ah, Des, no luck. It's not gonna be that easy, playa. Because you're back on the boat, and things is out of control.

Frank tells everyone to relax. "Daniel wanted to talk to the guy, so we brought him the phone, that's all."

The tall Boat Guy says, "You let Faraday talk to him?"

"He said he could help!"

Ray's still hating. "Faraday can't even help himself!" Did you discover time travel, Ray? Then quit hating! Hating-ass Ray. The Boat Buds drag Frank off to the captain, locking Sayid, Desmond and the other guy in the sick bay.

Des grabs the doctor light and starts flashing it in his own eyes. He's getting the hang of the time travel thing. Sayid doesn't get it. "Desmond, can you please explain to me - "

"Desmond?" The crazy guy speaks! They turn. "You're Desmond?"

"Do I know you?"

"I'm George Minkowski." Holla back! "I'm the communications officer. Before they strapped me down here, all the calls to and from this boat came through me in the radio room. And every so often, I'd get this flashing light on my console - an incoming call. We were under strict orders never to answer it."

Des says, "So? What's that got to do with me?" Probably nothing, Des.

George takes us to commercial with a real doozy: "Those calls came from your girlfriend, Penelope Widmore."

This is my favorite episode ever, this week.

"Me too yall!"

Great. So Des comes to and he's back in Dan's office. He's been out for 75 minutes, catatonic. But he was only in the future for five minutes. Dan is calculating his consciousness, how it's jumping around and it's exponential, all that good stuff. But Des notices that Eloise is dead. Dan's like, yeah, the effects seem to vary, blah blah blah. Des ain't quite so lackadaisical. He grabs Dan-O by his rumpled collar.

"If this keeps happening, am I gonna die?!"

Dan doesn't know, but he has some ideas. "I think Eloise's brain short-circuited. The jumps between the present and the future, she eventually...she couldn't tell which was which. She had no anchor."

"Whaddaya mean, anchor?" Yes, Dan, what do you mean? We're all listening.

"Something familiar in both times. All this, see this? This is all variables. It's random, it's chaotic. Every equation needs stability, something known. It's called a constant. Desmond...you have no constant. When you go to the future, nothing there is familiar. So if you wanna stop this, then you need to find something there, something that you really, really care about, that also exists back here, in 1996."

Des needs a moment to take it all in.

"This constant...can it be a person?"

Dan's expressions indicate that he's hanging on Desmond's every word. Is this a little fishy? Is it all a setup to get Des to make contact with Penny in the future? Dan's face is really, really weird here, don't you think?

"Yeah, maybe. But you'd have to make some kind of contact."

What's that all about? As much as I enjoy Dan's character, I wonder what his motivations are. Des starts to dial the phone. "Can you see her on the boat, in the middle of nowhere?" How does Dan know the boat's in the middle of nowhere? Maybe I'm reading too much into this. Let's move on.

Dan: "Uh, who are you calling?"

"I'm calling my bloody constant."

Hahahaha.

We snap back to the future. Des catches a reflection in the mirror, and it ain't pretty.

George knows what's up. "You look a lot older now, huh? Welcome back, Desmond." Des tells Sayid he needs to call Penny, and Sayid is like, not the time for that playboy. But Desmond convinces him that it's important.

George says, Whoa, not that easy. "Two days ago, someone sabotaged all the equipment. We lost all communication with the mainland. I probably could have fixed it, but...then I went nuts."

Sayid doesn't care about that part. "Where's the radio room?"

"It's one deck up. I'll take you there. Come on."

"And how do we get out of here?"

"Through the door?"

"The door is ajar, yall!" -Britney

It's not a jar, dumbass. It's a door. Oh...ajar! Sorry, Brit.

"Be nice. words matter yall."

They do! So the door is open. And George gives us a cryptic clue: "Looks like you guys have a friend on this boat." Taller Walt? They go to leave, but first Des has to...

End up back in 1996. We're in a ritzy-ass auction house, or an Old Spice commercial, hard to say. There's a big painting of what the auctioneer reveals to be the Black Rock, and a leather-bound book in a glass case.

The auctioneer talks about how the boat was lost at sea, and all that was found was this neat-ass journal, which pirates found seven years later. "The contents of this journal have never been made public, nor are known to anyone outside of the family of the sellar, Tovard Hanso." Bidding opens at 150,000 pounds - and the bidder is Charles Widmore!

Awesome! Hanso biz, you know what it is. Widmore's gonna get that journal. The bids go up and up, and Desmond tries to interrupt, but security holds him back. Only after Widmore wins the auction does he turn to see...

"Mr. Widmore!"

"Desmond?"

"Can I have a word, sir?"

Widmore's like, sure. "Walk with me." And it turns out that's rich-guy slang for, "Let's go talk while I take a piss."

"Your word, let's have it."

"I need to get in touch with Penny. I don't know how to reach her, and her number's been disconnected."

Widmore blames Desmond's cowardice for ruining the relationship. "I take it you've had second thoughts? And you'd like her to give you another chance."

"Why do you hate me so much?"

Widmore snickers.

"Mmm, Snickers! Love em yall!"

Me too, Brit! But I meant that he makes a snickering sound.

"Ohhhhhhh. Sorry yall."

So Widmore snickers. "It's not me who hates you." What does that mean? Is it a reference to Penny, or to a larger conspiracy? "Here's her address. I'll let you tell her yourself."

Des flashes back on the boat. George is like, "I know, it's getting harder. It starts happening faster, too." George is cool. Des wants to know how George got all screwed up. Turns out they were anchored here, got bored and decided to take a trip to check out the island. But the other guy went crazy, and now he's in a body bag. Des senses he's headed for the same fate, and is so not feeling it. They get to the communication room, and Sayid asks who messed everything up. "Ya got me," says George, "But when the captain finds out, I feel sorr - "

Faceplant! George doesn't look too hot.

Sayid is confused. "After your call, someone has to tell me precisely what is going on." You and me both, Sayid! You and me both. Sayid gets working on the phone but Des doesn't have the number. Meanwhile, George is convulsing. Des sees the calendar on the wall and realizes it's 2004. Then Sayid lets him know his nose is bleeding. Now George is convulsing some more and bleeding a lot.

"I...can't...get...back!"

And then, he dead, son. And if you haven't caught on yet, Desmond needs to hurry up and do something before he gets deaded too.

After the break, we open with the overflowing sink from when Widmore left it on before, and Desmond lying on the floor. He turns the water off and splashes it on his face. This week is up there on the Excite-O-Meter! Fortunately, Des still has the card with Pen's address - 423 Cheyne Walk. And Penny is thrilled to see him.

Okay, not thrilled, more shocked and horrified.

She says she's trying to make a clean break, but Des needs that phone number, and he's persistent. After begging her to listen, Penny relents and lets him in. He tells her that he needs to call her eight years from now, and he needs her number to do it. She's understandably confused. But he persists. He pleads. He insists. Finally, she relents. "If I give you the number, will you leave?"

"Ay."

"7946, 0893." Anyone know what that's about? Des starts repeating it to himself. "All that and you're not going to write it down?" asks Pen. No time to explain time travel, it's time TO time travel!

"Let's do it yall!"

FfffwwwwooooOOOoooshhh!

Back on the boat. Sayid needs the number. Des still got it! Sayid dials, and the call goes through, but the battery might not last long. Surprise, surprise. The phone rings. Here goes nothing...or everything.

Someone picks up. "Hello?"

"Penny?"

"Desmond??!!"

Back in 1996, a weary smile comes over Desmond's face.

Holla at ya constant!

We flash back to Desmond in 2004, who also looks relieved.

"Penny! Penny, you answered...you answered, Penny." Yeah, she answered! Can we make with some questions?

"Des, where are you?"

"I'm...I'm...I'm on a boat. Um...I've been on an island..." Spit it out, brotha!! "Oh my God, Penny, is that really you?" YES IT'S HER!

"Yeah, yes, it's me!" WE KNOW DOGGY!

"You believe me! You still care about me."

"I've been looking for you for the past three years. I know about the island. I've been researching it *GDKFDFstaticJJKFstaticHFSHSH* And then, when I spoke to your friend Charlie, that's when I knew you were still alive. That's when I knew I wasn't crazy." WE KNOW ALL THAT ALREADY! TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE!

"Des, are you still there?"

"Yes, yes I'm here! I'm still here! Can you hear me?" SHE CAN HEAR YOU KILLA!

"Yeah, yeah, that's better." Oh man. We're not getting any more juicy info, are we.

"I love you, Penny. I've always loved you. I'm so sorry. I love you."

"I love you, too."

"I don't know where I am, but - "

"I'll find you, Des"

"I promise - "

"No matter what - "

"I'll come back to you - "

"I won't give up - "

"I promise - "

"I promise - "

Then, in unison: "I love you." And the line goes dead. Back to the lonely, dirty-ass boat.

Sayid catches feelings off the conversation. "I'm sorry, the power source went dead. That's all we have."

"Thank you, Sayid. It was enough." He knows Sayid again. Desmond 2004 is back! Holla.

"Are you alright now?"

"Ay. I'm perfect."

After a nice aerial shot of the boat, we're back on the island with Faraday. He's flipping through his journal. Suddenly, his face becomes possessed with something, as if he's looking for something but doesn't know what it is.

And then he turns the page and finds it.

Whoa! That's a hell of a reveal. So is this 1996 Daniel, time-tripping this way and that? Is that why he's so terrible at the card game? Because he hasn't had a constant? This is shaping up to be a doozy of a semi-season.

Next week: we're back on the island! And things look out of control.

"Okay, I gotta go yall."

Even if it the whole ball of wax goes on YouTube, I still think the general public outside of media geeks and tech geeks, and well, college kids, still have no idea how to get an Internet video on their living room screen -- despite Apple TV, and all the other offerings.  This I feel is the proverbial "last mile" in the equation.  Thoughts?

O episódio Queen's Gambit, o 1x05 de The Sarah Connor Chronicles, bateu recordes.

Primeiro, John Connor. Antes de fazer o protagonista da série dos robôs, Thomas Dekker, viveu Zach em Heroes. Dizem por aí que ele era gay, mas a NBC negou. O personagem sumiu em Heroes.

Summer Glau, antes de viver a andróide Cameron, já era a maluca Tess Dorner, em The 4400. A série foi cancelada e nós nunca saberemos o que aconteceu com a Tess, que teve uma crise de esquizofrenia e fugiu no último episódio.

Dele os mais antigos vão lembrar. Ryan O'Reiley, da maravilhosa Oz. Depois de Oz, ele ainda foi o namorado-problema da Liz Lemon em 30 Rock.

Já dessa aqui TODO mundo lembra. E lembra bem. Afinal, todos têm certeza que o final de Lost passará por ela: Penny Widmore! Ela também faz a polêmica Tell Me You Love Me. Dá-lhe Sonya Walger!

O recém-descoberto tio de John Connor, interpretado por Brian Austin Green, já foi aquele vizinho retardado do Freddie, na série homônima.

Em Sarah Connor, foi o diretor da escola da Cameron e do John. Mas ele é conhecido mesmo por ter sido Liam Pace, irmão de Charlie, em Lost. E só para citar minha amada The 4400, ele fez uma participação lá como aquele astro do rock drogado (de novo!), que era sempre curado pelo Shawn.

Para finalizar, o clonado pelo robô já esteve em outra série: The 4400. Ele nos irritou demais como o irritante Matthew Ross, um marcado que, graças à grande Isabelle, passou desta para uma melhor!

Basically this is the season where we're duped into morning the death of Bobby (Too many soap suds in the eyes), but more specifically find out how messed up a mind Pam has. A mind powerful enough to dream up a whole season of seriously messed up things. The kind of stuff that not only made many a therapist car's payments but also makes for future dream spoofs on other shows.

I don't know if i really can sum this up in one felt swoop. I haven't seen the movie(which is crazy considering the fact that it's famous for bombing and I do loves me a train wreck movie), and the clips I have seen only leave me with questions about "The Wiz" or rather the scarecrow character...

Why does M.J. have sausage wings? And why did everyone think his acting was "genuine," when he's clearly using some kind of incantation to summon the spirit of Penny (Janet Jackson on "Good Times")...Unless of course it IS Penny under those sausages. One of them early "wardrobe malfunctions"? Hmmm...

Jag kan garantera att jag aldrig någonsin har laddat ner filer med innehåll producerat av Björn Ranelid, Katarina Ewerlöf, Fronda, Sharon Bezaly eller Hannes Holm. Jag har aldrig ens tänk tanken och kommer aldrig att göra det. För mig är det mesta som produceras i Sverige skit, jag har noll intresse för svenska filmer eller TV-serier. Ibland läser jag böcker av svenska författare, men då är det riktiga böcker lånade från bibiliotek (japp, det går att vara storkonsument både av torrenter och biblioteksböcker) eller köpta pocketböcker. Jag vågar påstå att de allra flesta som fildelar är totalt ointresserade av att ladda ner böcker av Björn Ranelid eller Peter Englund. Därför blir det absurt när dessa går ut och leker piratkrig med en så gravallvarlig retorik att den framstår som rent skrattretande.

TV-serien Californication är ett talande exempel för problemet. Den har säsongspremiär idag, 10 januari, på TV4. I USA sändes första avsnittet på Showtime den 13 augusti förra året. Det är fem månader sen. Nu kan någon hävda att det faktiskt bara är fem månader men det är lång tid med tanke på omsättningen i TV-seriebranchen. En del serier hinner läggas ner innan de når Sverige, vilket var fallet med Studio 60 som började sändas på SVT i augusti förra året men lades ner flera månader tidigare. Svindyra Canal + vars reklamkampanj hävdar att dom sänder alla nya serier en säsong före alla andra börjar först nu på fredag sända fantastiska Tell me you love me. Sista avsnittet (av endast 10 planerade) sändes på HBO 11 november förra året. Under julen har SVT
