Asta nu-i o problemă mare, eu am prins vremurile când mai marii pe piaţa emailurilor - Yahoo şi Hotmail ofereau doar 3 şi respectiv 2 MB de spaţiu in total, pentru toata posta (aceasta situatie a durat o perioada, până când s-a anunţat că va apărea poşta de la Google, care va oferi spaţiu de 1 GB, din acel moment toţi providerii şi-au mărit spaţiul acordat utilizatorilor).

Pe de o parte sunt de acord cu restrictia de 10 megabaiti, e folositoare pentru persoanele care folosesc pentru citirea poştei electronice programe de tipul The Bat (apropo, e program moldovenesc, cândva era lider pe piaţă), Outlook Express, Mozilla Thunderbird şi altele. Imaginaţi-vă o scrisoare care are un ataşament de 500 MB, în cât timp se va downloada ea...

Acum să trecem la subiect. Pentru a trimite acel fişier de 27 MB, care era o arhivă RAR, eu a trebuit să-l rup în mai multe părţi (până la 10 mb fiecare). Am făcut acest lucru folosind programul WinRAR. Aşadar, prima metodă:

1. Dacă nu aveţi WinRAR, puteţi descărca ultima versiune de pe site-ul oficial. Acum, asupra fişierului pe care doriţi să-l tăiaţi în bucăţi (merge şi asupra dosarului cu fişiere) apăsaţi cu butonul drept al şoricelului şi selectaţi opţiunea "Add to archive" (şi nu Add to archive ****.rar). Se va deschide o fereastră cu diferite opţiuni de arhivare, noi avem nevoie doar de opţiunea "split to volumes, bytes". Introduceţi dimensiunea preferată a bucăţilor (în baiţi, adica, un megabait cândăreşte în jur de un milion de baiţi), indicaţi unde salvaţi bucăţile, şi apăsaţi OK. Rezultatul va fi mai multe bucăţi, de dimensiunea indicată de dumneavoastră, sub forma volname.part001.rar, volname.part002.rar, etc. Aş zice că gata, dar am găsit încă o sugestie pe internet. Ca să nu vă chinuiţi să calculaţi dimensiunile în baiţi, adăugaţi la număr un "k" mic pentru a da dimensiunea în kilobaiţi, sau un "m" mic, pentru a arăta dimensiunea în megabaiţi. Cu alte cuvinte, dacă vreau să împart un fişier în bucăţi de câte 10 megabaiţi, eu voi scrie la dimensiune 10m, şi WinRAR va face treaba pentru mine.

Unirea fişierelor este simplă - trebuie salvate în aceeaşi mapă, şi atunci când deschizi pe oricare din ele (sau pe primul), ele se deschid toate împreună, astfel că puteţi să dezarhivaţi liniştit conţinutul unde vă trebuie.

But sometimes you will see files with the following filenames: name.001, name.002, name.003 etc, which I will call 001 files. In this tutorial you will learn how to extract these files. Extracting isn't the right name though: normally these files are not compressed like RAR files, but just split by a file splitter, without compression. Joining would be a better term for what we are about to do.

In this tutorial we will try to join the test.mp3 file that I made. As you can see in the image below this file is split into eight pieces that we have to join before we can listen to the test.mp3 file.

We can do this with three different programs: WinRAR, 7-Zip and HJSplit. It is up to you to choose which program you would like to use for this task: WinRAR, 7-Zip or HJSplit. Because many people have WinRAR installed on their PC, I will explain that program first. WinRAR isn't the best fit for this task though, so if you currently do not use WinRAR, just skip the next part and use 7-Zip or HJSplit.

Joining with WinRAR

Open the first file of the archive (name.001) with WinRAR by double clicking on it in the Windows Explorer. Normally a window will appear asking you which program should be used to open the 001 file (this is because Windows might not know which programs are capable of opening 001 files). So select WinRAR in that window. If WinRAR isn't listed, press the 'Browse' button and navigate to the WinRAR folder on your computer (probably C:\Program Files\WinRAR) and select WinRAR. Finally press the 'OK' button.
Now there are two possibilities:
1) WinRAR is able to open the file successfully. Now you can extract the archive in the same way you would extract normal RAR archives, as explained in the WinRAR tutorial.
2) WinRAR is unable to open the archive
In that case WinRAR is unable to join the files, so we have to try the programs 7-Zip or HJSplit. Both programs are free and will be explained below.

Joining with 7-Zip

The free program 7-Zip is better than WinRAR in joining 001 files.

Download 7-Zip

After installing 7-Zip, right click on the first file (name.001) in the Windows Explorer and choose 'Extract here' in the 7-Zip submenu of the context menu. 7-Zip will extract the archive and place the extract files into the same directory as where the source files are located. You could also choose 'Open archive' to view the archive in 7-Zip or extract the file to another directory by choosing 'Extract files'. Easy!

Joining with HJSplit

There is a great chance that the person who posted the files used the program HJSplit to split the file to create 001 files. This freeware program is also able to join 001 files.

You do not have to install HJSplit. Just extract the 'hjsplit.zip' and double click on HJSplit.exe to start HJSplit. The main window of HJSplit appears. Since we want to join the files, click on 'Join':

Được xem là trình nén thông dụng nhất hiện nay. Phiên bản mới nhất của WinRar 3.8 beta 1 có thể download tại địa chỉ http://www.rarsoft.com/download.htm.


WINRAR có giao diện dễ sử dụng, hỗ trợ tất cả hệ điều hành. Ưu điểm của WinRar là chạy nhanh, ổn định, đặc biệt là bảo mật cực tốt. Đây cũng được xem là trình nén đa năng nhất hiện tại với rất nhiều tính năng về nén và giải nén. Phiên bản 3.8 thậm chí còn được tích hợp trình quét Virus dùng để quét các virus trá hình trong các file nén.

Power Archiver (PW)

Liên tục 3 năm liền được đánh giá là trình nén tốt nhất do các báo PC World, PC Magazine, Cnet bình chọn. Tải phiên bản mới nhất Power Archiver 2007 tại địa chỉ : http://www.powerArchiver.com/download/.


PW 2007 có giao diện đẹp được bố trí dưới dạng thẻ ( như Office 2007). Được xem là trình nén chuyên nghiệp đầu tiên hỗ trợ định dạng 7Zip và đến nay vẫn giữ quán quân trong việc nén và giải nén định dạng này. Hỗ trợ đọc nhiều định dạng nén gồm cả định dạng của các chương trình ghi đĩa như ISO, NRG…Tính năng đặc biệt nhất của phiên bản 2007 này là tự động nén fie theo lịch và thứ tự thiết lập sẵn (dùng để tự động backup hệ thống thành file nén).

Điều quan trọng nhất với trình nén và giải nén là tốc độ nén và mức độ nén. Hai thử nghiệm được đặt ra để so sánh hai chương trình này. Thử nghiệm 1 là nén 1 thư mục văn bản có dung lượng 204 Mb gồm 787 file. Thử nghiệm 2 nén 2 file thư viện nhạc (tạo bởi GigaStudio) có dung lượng 667 MB.Việc thử nghiệm được thực hiện trên cùng 1 máy tính. Việc nén được xác lập ở chế độ nén cao nhất và cùng nén ở chuẩn Zip.

Kết quả

Thử nghiệm 1: Winrar tạo 1 file nén có dung lượng 192,301 Mb trong thời gian 1 phút 9 giây, PW mất 1 phút 37 giây để tạo 1 file nén với dung lượng 137, 727 Mb. Thử nghiệm 2, Winrar mất 1 phút 52 giây để tạo ra 1 file có dung lượng 354Mb, tương tự với PW là 2 phút 31 giây để tạo ra một file có dung lượng 317 Mb.

Nhận xét: WinRar chạy nhanh hơn PW trong đa số trường hợp. Về mức độ nénPower Zip lại vượt trội hơn. Tuy nhiên sự chênh lệch này chỉ có ý nghĩa khi nén các file có mức độ nén lớn (văn bản, cơ sở dữ liệu…). Với các file dung lượng lớn (thường đã được chương trình tạo ra nó nén một lần) thì mức độ này không chênh lệch bao nhiêu.

So, last night i watched Wall-E. Contrary to the mixed reviews (many exclaimed that it had "no plot") I found Wall-E an engaging, funny, and semi-romantic masterpiece to equal Ratatouille or Finding Nemo. The action is abundant, and can appeal to adults, but is also appropriate for children. The romanticism is not such that younger children will pretend to retch during the mushier bits, and the plot line carries throughout the entire movie. The only complaints i have are that the beginning was a tad slow, and the ending a tad weak. 4.5/5
